1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukrainian pharmacy chain introduces cryptocurrency payments on: January 05, 2023, 04:27:25 PM
According to the statement what they plan to do is to start accepting payment directly using Binance Pay which is another means of promoting the Centralized exchange Binance.
If they truly want to promote the use of crypto and add safety why doing so, they should make an effort by getting a hardware wallet which they can generate a QR code for the receiving address print and paste it around the shop, so that customers can just scan the address and make payment. their is no doubt that Binance Pay will be faster in receiving payment of its also too risky since they don't have the key to the wallet.
"Not Your Key Not your coin"

I doubt that this chain of pharmacies has a qualified person who understands cryptocurrencies. Why look for and hire another employee to deal with this when there is already a ready-made solution from Binance exchange? I assume that it was their specialists who helped to implement such a function and will monitor the work of this function in the future.

Этих направлений нет, зачем писать то, чего нет? Из криптовалют только USDT, маловато будет Wink

1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: January 03, 2023, 10:59:57 PM
When I was new to cryptocurrency I was totally ignorant about market prediction, volume, future plans.  Then I invested in some cryptocurrencies.  After a few days of investment, I made quite a few dollars.  But due to little knowledge about the market and excessive greed, I did not sell the crypto currencies I invested in the market at that time.  So currently I am at a loss of $14000.  Now I have no alternative but to wait for a long time.  Finally I would like to say one thing from my real life, don't get too greedy in cryptocurrencies and hold any particular coin for a long time.  It has the possibility of much more loss than profit.

For a beginner, you have chosen a portfolio that is too risky with only 3 shitcoins, which is very little for diversification. Your portfolio has no stablecoins, no blue chips, so it's in deepest drawdown. If you had free money, now you would not just sit and wait, but you could buy more assets or average buying growing assets, but you are constrained in the movements, because initially your risk management was 0, it just wasn't there in the first place. It's not a matter of greed, it's a matter of not knowing how to manage risk.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: January 03, 2023, 10:27:28 PM
I always trust bitcoin, ethereum and bnb to retain their top 20 positions for sure, guaranteed (and if you want to consider stable ones then them too) but all others are open hunting season. Anything from avax to doge to litecoin, anything there could go out of top 20 for sure and there is no reason why it shouldn't or couldn't go out.

It's going to be a tough period for people to live in this fear empire where we do not know if it will go down or not, but we have to just realize that it's not that easy to keep something at top 20, it requires constant hype and interest towards it and if there is nothing exciting then the community will stop caring about it and buying more of it.

From the top 20, sooner or later, all PoW cryptocurrencies will leave, except Bitcoin. This has been going on for quite some time. If you remember 2013, then the top 20 consisted of only PoW coins, but now the trend has changed and all large projects choose PoS model or switch to it.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: January 03, 2023, 09:49:14 PM
I am very doubtful if I consider Ethereum being in comparison to many other altcoins. Why? Its because Ethereum nearly always performs like locomotive in front of all other altcoins.
But when I consider current situation we are in, I feel like all altcoins including Ethereum don't have room to raise in price. I wish there was enough demand to start another Ethereum rally but very unlikely. People still hesitate to buy more altcoins now even if year is 2023.

ETH is very popular and therefore acts as a locomotive, but it ranks last in its blockchain commissions table, especially compared to Layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum or Optimism. ETH has become blue chip and big institutional investors are investing in it, for small deposits ETH is not so profitable anymore because it has grown a lot lately. If ETH grows 8-9 times in the next 5 years, it will be a very big achievement considering its capitalization.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is here to stay. on: January 03, 2023, 09:21:10 PM
Obviously crypto is here is to stay, the more you use crypto the more you realize how easy and simple it is to send someone money in the form of crypto. While many people do not accept this method of payment we are gradually going through the denial-acceptance cycle and we are working on it.

Problems like bankruptcy/hacks/scams will happen in every sector and the lack of regulation in crypto makes it all the more vulnerable to the same. But that does not mean that the older users of such a system would stop using it. Therefore its adoption will increase and soon big merchants will be forced to accept it in some way or the other.

Therefore fill up your bitcoin bags and lets all get rich!

Cryptocurrency itself, of course, is not going anywhere, it is a very promising technology whose potential has not been revealed at all, except for speculation on exchanges. As harsh as it may sound, but if we want really strong and progressive development, the industry needs the arrival of regulators, as it was with the stock market. After regulators and oversight came in, the number of fraudulent schemes there went down a lot. Crypto market will be perceived as risky as long as anyone can anonymously launch their coin on an exchange and start trading, or anyone can anonymously launch funding rounds for another altcoin project and then run away with your money.
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting events in 2022 on the crypto market on: January 03, 2023, 09:15:05 PM
It looks like Terra really started the worst trend, and more negative news started to happened in the market. This year is indeed a bear market and probably one of the worst bear market. Now, we are starting a new year on a down trend, I wonder what kind of news that can start the up trend, probably a good hype for a new project and Bitcoin.

Terra was not the cause of the worst trend. The real causes of the worst trend are uncertainty in the geopolitical arena and rising inflation around the world, as well as rising unemployment and higher prices for goods and services. All of this began much earlier than the Terra events. Terra itself was doomed anyway, regardless of the trend, because they had bad tokenomics and signs of a pyramid scheme, where each investor was promised a high return, and this high return could only be maintained with a continuous infusion of new money into the system.

Of course, the war and the worst inflation that have been experience even by US causes not just the crypto market, but the other traditional market as well. However, if you look at prior to the Terra Luna event, the market is somewhat relatively calm, and we even have some good increased around that time. But things turn to worst after the Terra Luna expose, pulling the market down and it took months because we settled down. Unfortunately, when we all forgot about Terra, the FTX collapse occur and that is the final nail for us this 2022 as we see a lowest low at $15,500. So no money is going to infuse in the market if there is uncertainty around.

What should have happened, happened. If not for Terra events, the price dump would have been caused by other events, such as bankruptcies of major crypto services. It was all long overdue and would have happened anyway. Terra only accelerated what was in store for the market, I think. In my opinion, FTX, not Terra, was the biggest blow to the industry, and it was not in terms of how much bitcoin dropped.
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 02, 2023, 09:46:17 PM
I believe that there are still long months of bear market ahead of us, so there will still be some time to buy alts. However, if someone has the funds and is focused on a long-term investment, I think this is a good time to invest and for DCA in the event of further price declines. Personally, at the moment I only invest in cryptocurrencies that I am fairly sure will survive the crypto winter. Among them, I can mention ETH, BNB, ATOM, MATIC, TRX, ADA, ALGO. I believe that the time for more "exotic" shopping, in search of hidden gems, will come when we have clear signs of a change in the trend.

A good approach with minimal risk. Indeed, a bearish trend implies more selective investing in so-called blue chips. These projects have a very strong fundamental component and there is much more confidence in them than in relatively new projects that do not have a strong enough community and price support. As soon as the trend changes, it will be possible to pay attention to younger projects that will be able to survive this crypto winter.
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The NFT hype makes Opensea rich on: January 02, 2023, 08:57:46 PM
Every platform starts small but I think the main reason on why opensea became successful is because they are the first to open up a platform like this when nft's begun. Those who deal with nft's have no choice but to use them but I salute this platform because they didn't became greedy and attracted on the money that they see. they continue to choose their reputation and they became even stronger because of this.

Many people have became rich using this platform and these people must be thankful for opensea and nft's but we shouldn't also disregard the losers but that should have taught them a good lesson. I hope those people can still recover and became successful at the end.

I cannot agree with your statement about there being no choice but OpenSea. There is if we are talking about other blockchains. For example, Magic Eden, which is the largest marketplace for Solana and this marketplace is the second largest, after OpenSea, in terms of trading volume. If we're talking about NFT in other blockchains, there's always a choice. OpenSea is mostly focused on NFTs deployed on the ETH blockchain.
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is difference between Wrapped Bitcoin and Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2023, 08:01:43 PM
I was curious that what is difference between the Wraped Coin vs Bitcoin. I still do not know clear about the Wrapped token but I think that Wrapping a coin allows it to be used on a non-native blockchain. Wrapping a token is essentially swapping one token for another token in an equal amount via a smart contract, or code on the blockchain that can store and send funds. but still I do not know the clear cut meaning and also use of The wrapped Tokens.

In simple terms, a bitcoin is a valuable asset, and a wrapped bitcoin is just a wrapper residing in another blockchain. In essence, you have exchanged your real bitcoins for fake ones and now you have opportunities to, for example, stake bitcoin in some DeFi pool. The only thing is that the risks associated with this activity are much higher than the profit you can get from this staking.

When you exchange your bitcoins for wrapped bitcoins, you involve a third party in the process, and that's not safe. In general, bitcoin tokenization is unprofitable in the long run because bitcoins only get more expensive over time, but all sorts of pools and DeFi protocols often crash and get hacked.

1832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High Profit Projects Are Prone To Scam on: January 02, 2023, 07:21:41 PM
if the team or admin is no longer active in the telegram group and does not respond to investor complaints, you can be sure that the project is a scam. supposedly if there are any problems the team should be able to provide understanding to all investors or the funds that have been collected during the presale are returned to investors. next time if you want to participate in presale also consider other issues such as partners or the team behind the project, don't just be tempted by big bonuses.

This is the final stage of scam, when social networks are restricted, users are frequently banned for asking inconvenient questions, or social networks are removed altogether. The fact that the project is fraudulent should not be clear by whether the admin is active in Telegram or not. The topic was originally about projects with high interest and this is the first trigger that should help protect your money, activity in social networks should concern you in the tenth priority.
1833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 01, 2023, 09:50:54 PM
As a new trader I would like to know from our experts, the altcoins with good potentials in this 2023.

Any coin that has a strong fundamental analysis, demand for the blockchain space and support on many major exchanges has potential. Only for trading, slightly different parameters are important, such as volatility, volumes, etc. Are you a beginner trader or an investor? If you are going to trade altcoins, what will be the term of your trades? Short term or long term trading? There are a lot of questions that come up before answering your one question.
1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 01, 2023, 09:22:24 PM
Decentralized exchanges are the future IMO, as people have lost faith in centralized exchanges. Yes, you have to pay the gas fee on every transaction but it is still good at least these funds will be in the wallet whose private key you have. Because we have seen that people who trusted these centralized exchanges had held their funds in their wallets they lost their funds. And we saw the way the founders of the centralized exchanges Gambled with their user's funds.

They lost it, and they'll find it. Is this the first time? It was so in 2018, now it's lost in 2022. If things worked the way you describe, many altcoins would never be popular again because people lost faith in them. The market is cyclical, so the bearish sentiment will disappear very quickly with the arrival of money in the crypto market. With the money coming in, more trading on the exchanges will start again and people will start making deposits there with the former popularity, and maybe more.
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy more ETH after reading this ? on: January 01, 2023, 08:37:17 PM
Whatever happens and whatever the market conditions I will continue to buy and hold ETH.
There are 2 crypto coins that I trust and believe in the most, namely Bitcoin and ETH.
In my opinion, ETH is the 2nd coin after Bitcoin, which has the most potential in the future to be able to take large profits and is worthy of being made into a long-term investment.
So it's no wonder that there are still many ETH enthusiasts and holders to this day.

Indeed, ETH is a very popular and liquid coin. This is all built on its former greatness, when it was less censored and worked on the PoW algorithm. Now, after the merger, it is extremely difficult to evaluate the new consensus and its success among holders. In addition, ETH still hasn't got rid of the simply monstrous, compared to its competitors, commissions for token trasfer and swap.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with new projects that introduce new Stable coins on: January 01, 2023, 08:04:38 PM
Be sure to understand how a Stable coin is designed before storing your assets using them, most stable coins have failed since last bear market season, from USDN to UST and USN, there are many more that I don't mentioned.

Some new projects will come as whatever they like, either DeFi or Smart contract and they will introduce new Stable coin, be careful, in fact I don't see any reason why you should keep your dollars using a new Stable coin when we have USDT, USDC, DAI and BUSD..

Centralised or Decentralised you can just make a pick from USDC , USDT, DAI or BUSD

Only algorithmic stablecoins failed, for the most part. None of the classic centralized stablecoins were affected. This is important to understand before stating that many steablecoins have failed. Although classic centralized stablcoins also had problems with de-peg, they still returned the dollar peg afterwards. That is, their de-peg is temporary, while algorithmic stablecoins are in de-peg most of the time.
1837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SlowMist: Investigation of North Korean APT’s Large-Scale Phishing Attack on NFT on: January 01, 2023, 07:47:20 PM
I have seen too many accusations against North Korea lately. Soon it may become normal and relatively safe to justify some negative events in cryptocurrency by saying that North Korea was involved and throw the blame on them. Very convenient, and most importantly, no one will demand any denials since North Korea is in world isolation Smiley
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Fools Gold on: December 31, 2022, 09:14:32 PM
There are many projects asking investors to stake their tokens for APY but they collapsed later for example Midas, they offered 17% APY on USDC, the token went from 38$ to 0 and their swap feature is shut down..

I am just trying to warn you about Centralised Finance tokens and platforms, avoid taking big risks with CeFi Platforms.

APY can be tempting at times, powerful enough to make you turn your back on the vital parts of the project, do not compare APY of a CeFi project with others especially when the project is not that popular.

Now that we are even in a bear market, any projects offering high yield is a big red flag, this is not the time to focus on earning rewards.

Almost any staking in a bear market is unprofitable, be it CeFi or DeFi. It doesn't matter which platform. At such times, tokens fall in value much faster than the staking reward accrue. In the best case, the staker will cover losses related to the drop in the price of the asset if he or she did not buy on the bull market.  It has been said many times before about high-interest staking, all this is a scam, slowed down or fast-acting. Sooner or later such platforms close or reduce rewards.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs is looking to buy crypto, why? on: December 31, 2022, 08:06:37 PM
They are speculators and market makers, so buying crypto companies for them does not mean that they see some development in blockchain, it means that right now the purchase is justified by a good price and in the next few years they can make a good profit. In 2023, there may be a market recovery and the previous prices may not be there anymore, so big players like investment banks always buy in moments of universal fear and sell at the peak of universal hype.
1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's behind Donald Trump's issuing NFTs ? on: December 31, 2022, 07:22:22 PM
Former U.S President Donald Trump has recently issued his own NFTs called Trump Digital Trading Cards. The purchasing perks are abundant such as a dinner with Trump, access to his community, golfing with Trump, Zoom calls etc. It looks as normal as other celebrity's NFT issuance but also seems more than that. Personally I think it is also political and deeply related to his political campaign. The majority of potential buyers must be his political supporters and fans. This NFT thing may be another digital means to connect him with his vast fanbase. What is your opinion on this and why ?

I noticed that some users on OpenSea purchased hundreds and even thousands of these NFTs Shocked

Now the frenzy has clearly subsided and the floor price is tending towards the starting price of $99. Although there is a suspicion that the price may fall even below that mark, as is often the case with NFT collections.
