1781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone who wants to give advice on NFT's work, please come in. on: January 17, 2023, 05:10:21 PM
0.09 ETH for this? Why? Where did that price come from, given that only one person owns the collection? In my opinion, you have inflated the price too much. Such NFTs won't be in demand simply because this collection isn't known, it isn't supported by anyone, and it doesn't have any active community. There's a 99% chance this collection will die after a while, just like many others like it.
1782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 17, 2023, 04:30:58 PM
Solana is once again a top ten coin, I am starting to feel like I will regret not buying solana and hold for a long time because if this project survive it will bring the highest ROI in the list of top coins on coinmarketcap, the present value is even looking good, what is your take on Solana? Are you a believer or you think it won't do well for long.

The market deceived many investors who thought Solana would fall to $5-7 and they would have a great opportunity to buy the coin at the bottom. The market also deceived those who traded derivatives on Solana and many got a margin call because they were sitting in short positions. Maybe a lot of people buried this asset early, which is why they are so surprised now. This is not surprising, in a bear market everything seems dead and hopeless.
1783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you stacking up on? on: January 17, 2023, 03:36:14 PM
As we will most likely continue to see bear market for this year, what are you stacking up on and why? I would love to know so I can see what people are interested and there reasoning for it.

Smiley.

It is far from certain that this year will be bearish. Maybe the bottom is already passed and the market starts to gradually return to the bullish mood. Anyway, if bear market will continue, it will be one more opportunity to buy coins with big discount, if it will start to recover, there will be a chance to get good profit from coins buying in bear market. Although if someone didn't want to buy and just watched, now will also watch things go up and someone make a profit.
1784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or tokens related to the AI or ML on: January 17, 2023, 03:06:36 PM
https://cryptorank.io/tags/artificial-intelligence

Here you can see a list of such projects. In my opinion, this may turn out to be a new hype in the near future. The topic of artificial intelligence is being actively discussed in the community environment and it may have a certain impact on future projects. It may turn out to be one of the new rapidly developing trends.

1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 17, 2023, 02:06:24 PM
Is it possible to profit from collapses of altcoins? Do you have any ideas how to?

There are several ways to do this. For example, you can use margin trading to take a short position and profit from price collapse, or you can wait until the collapse stops, buy out the bottom and quickly make a profit. For example, Aptos, Solana, etc. had such situation. The market gave an opportunity to buy coins at low price and then get good profit in 10 days. When the price falls, you have to wait to successfully redeem the bottom.
1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 17, 2023, 01:27:29 PM
Even if people like to think about themselves as rational individuals which take decisions based on logic, the truth is the majority of those people take decisions based on their emotions.

Not only on emotion, but also on other people's opinions. If a famous Influencer talks about a project, a lot of people run to buy without looking.

They refuse to buy bitcoin at the bottom or close to it because they are afraid of making a mistake, however when the price begins to go up that fear transforms and instead of being afraid of losing money they are afraid of missing out, the famous FOMO, also since many more people are buying bitcoin at the time they feel safer doing this themselves, this is similar to what we see when an ad on TV says that millions of people have bought a particular product, even if it is a lie when people hear this they assume that since so many people are satisfied with the product then they will be as well and it is safe to buy it.

People often think that if the price has fallen a lot, it will fall some more. That's why they are afraid to buy. As soon as things recover, people decide to start buying because everyone is buying. Many investors don't want to be an independent unit in the market, they prefer to be part of the crowd, to follow everyone.
1789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 17, 2023, 12:50:56 PM
: does ethereum have a good future?

It does, if it doesn't turn into the ultimate centralized dumpster with huge commissions.

: is it not wrong if I choose to invest in ethereum?

Everyone has to decide for himself what to invest in.

: what is the drawback of ethereum?

Again, centralization, censorship and huge commissions.

: why is ethereum the no. 1 ALTCOIN?

Because this network has a large adoptsion among developers.
1790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto exchanges market affected by ICOs? on: January 17, 2023, 12:20:07 PM
How ICOs affected the market of exchanges?

And how can they influence the exchanges market at all? Exchanges can listing any token, as long as it meets their internal rules and the developers of the token are willing to pay for the listing. Most ICOs have been insolvent scams, so they have passed by the major exchanges. So I think the answer is obvious, they didn't affect them in any way. The ICO market rather affected investors and their attitude towards cryptocurrencies, especially after 2017.
1791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 17, 2023, 11:56:19 AM
FTX, Celsius, Voyager,  and soon Luna ( probably )... all making ridiculous gains in this BTC rally.
Meanwhile some coins with good fundamentals and strong utility ( like Chainlink ) are doing poorly...  Huh C'mon...

If functionality and technology were the most decisive thing in the industry, we would have seen completely different coins in 1st,2nd,3rd place a long time ago. Bitcoin is extremely slow, with expensive transactions and limited block size. Ethereum is very expensive in terms of fees. Still, this does not prevent these projects from being at the top, although many projects that can demonstrate a more technological approach, cheap commissions, fast transactions, are at the bottom.

You should never make a decision to invest in a project based solely on the project's outstanding technical features. It may turn out that everyone just doesn't care about the technology.

1793  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Evasion for Alamjob239/Bla2kja2k/acemax/RainbowSky on: January 14, 2023, 10:32:42 AM
The point here is ban evasion

You yourself are asking, "Is there something he needs to specifically do to get banned?" I went through the list of his posts, found a specific example of technical plagiarism. It's something that might help to get a user banned. You want some kind of result, right? And for ban evasion, the global moderators aren't likely to ban him. There is no direct evidence.
1794  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Evasion for Alamjob239/Bla2kja2k/acemax/RainbowSky on: January 13, 2023, 07:48:22 PM
Can it be considered plagiarism?  Smiley

Technically, the answer would be yes. If you copy and paste something verbatim from the internet into your own writing without citing the source or giving credit where it is due, then that could be considered plagiarism. Even if you had good intentions.

I understand that the fact that he copied this text from the forum rules and did not cite the source can technically be considered plagiarism. This is not the point. Will our global moderators and admins consider this copy-paste without citing the source as plagiarism? That's the question Wink

1796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: January 12, 2023, 04:31:44 PM
I'm actually looking at matic, doge and Solana and if time not taking we might find BNB as well but due to they are global leading exchange would likely remain. For instance, in the past few years i have been closely watching over NEO and EOS these two coin where the best of all time and i think have also been among of the 20 top altcoin but after which i can't find them in the top anymore and i don't think there is something productive about them, i barely see anyone posting about those project or even a thread talking about these coin. Although EOS managed to remain among the top 40 altcoin while NEO slide down to rank 70.
This is to say not all altcoin usually maintained their position as time goes.

NEO and EOS were at the top of the hype in 2017-2018, at that time, in terms of the level of hype, they were about the same as Polygon or something similar now. Even here on the forum there were heated discussions about these projects. Then something went wrong and they started losing investors and support fast. EOS was with the claim that it would take Ethereum's place. The project was extremely ambitious, but the plans weren't destined to come to fruition.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you know on: January 12, 2023, 04:29:03 PM
2017 was no doubt a year for ICOs without any doubt. Anything launched as ICO during that year got success but following years were not good for ICO. in 2018 we hear new term IEO and then NFTs came in. If you want to invest in such new concepts then you need to be aware of right time of entry and exit, without that you are bound to lose money.

What does NFT have to do with this chain? IDO was the next step in the evolution of public sales of tokens to the first investors. Although I can't agree that everything that was launched as an ICO was a success. There was a lot of scam, and many projects immediately after going public on dubious exchanges, immediately fell sharply in value and never rose again. Something similar was observed in 2022.

1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 10, 2023, 05:32:12 PM
But I have not add any gambling token to my list at all, I went on coin market cap and I saw many gambling tokens, I never knew they are that much in number. My questions is

Is there any reason to add gambling tokens to my crypto portfolio? What drives their value? Do they appreciate in value just like other altcoins whenever we are in a bull market?

If you are in my shoe right now, what gambling token do you think you can take a risk on and add to your crypto portfolio and why?

Are you referring to the internal game tokens of projects, which are used in games for buying-selling and other internal economy of a particular project? NFT tokens that are used to tokenize in-game items? If so, there's not much point in buying them if you're not an active user of those game projects. If you are an investor, it is enough to buy tokens of the project itself.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlackRock CEO Says ‘Next Generation for Markets’ Is Tokenization on: January 10, 2023, 04:55:03 PM
Many markets are already thinking about this, and I think with the development of the digital space, digital payments and blockchain, the whole world will come to this. The tokenization of goods, services, raw materials, and other resources. This is our future. But where there is digitalization, there are additional risks related to regulation and security. These aspects will have to be fully worked out for tokenization to succeed.
