4301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin: I do not plan to leave Ethereum in the foreseeable future on: October 11, 2018, 12:33:51 PM
Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin said he was not going to leave the project in the near future, and the community misinterpreted his recent tweet that the platform could survive in case of his unexpected departure.
I can't believe people are still caring about whether Vitalik stays or not.

We haven't heard about Satoshi for years now and last we heard was when he said he wasn't someone, aside from that it has been god knows how long last we heard about what happened to Satoshi at all and we still here worrying about if Vitalik will leave ethereum or not. What happens if he leaves ?

Nothing should change, ethereum is a great coin by itself and by decentralized logic we should not care if Vitalik stays or not, he doesn't own ethereum like a company or something, he is just another part of the chain and if he leaves he leaves.
4302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid when the market is slowly going down? (Crypto Crash) on: October 11, 2018, 11:49:06 AM
of course I am the same as you, feeling worried because prices are weakening and have not risen even though this has been entered into the 4th quarter
If I may ask! Since you have been getting worried, how has that actually helped you in the long run ? I hope you know that the downtrend that some of you are always busy complaining about, some are always seeing it as a good way to accumulate for the long run. I would say what most of you should be doing in the first place is to understand the market you are in, understand the volatility, understand the kind of coins you should be investing in and knowing that for every coin with a product there is a huge future in it and you just cannot expect those changes to happen hugely without being patient for it.

Provided that at the beginning of a decline in the market, the right actions were carried out, the market may be beneficial, in order to increase the quantity of the asset, by buying at the lowest prices.
The right action and the right decision is actually the main thing here and for what it is worth, those who are well learned, understand their environment, know the risks and know how they can take advantage of every trend are usually the ones who always get the best in the long run. I really do not blame some people and I blame them at the same time. I do not blame them because they do not have a knowledge of why they should actually be investing and I blame them because they do not care to want to know unless to just be looking for quick ways to acquire wealth out of greed.
4303  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US stock market going to falling into a correction? on: October 10, 2018, 06:01:54 PM
He is quick to call Bitcoin a bubble, but I think those stocks are definitely a much bigger bubble than Bitcoin ever was.  Grin
Could be, but the fact that there is too much fiat in circulation might be playing an important role in how the stock market bubble may last much longer than we think, which is why I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up more.

When the bubble finally pops, you can be sure that the bear market will last several years with how slow the legacy market cycles through its phases. The next question will be where all that capital will shift to.

It could be that crypto will directly benefit from a stock market pop. If even 10% of that capital ends up in the crypto market, we'll see an institutional driven bull run that makes the previous retail bull runs look like a joke.
At this point in time, I would actually say the best thing is to just wait and see how some support will be holding and how the selloff would be. The market actually looks very bearish, but we always know in a market, nothing is certain until we start seeing things happen really. Actually I am out as I feel the market has actually reached its overbought limit and I am more to the bearish zone right now than any serious bullishness. This is a market that I feel it is about to correct and it is something we will most definitely get to know pretty soon.

I was reading some news recently about the US market being overpriced and the possibilities of the whales distributing and cashing out as the case may be. Actually looking at all modalities and technicalities, I would say the stock market is actually gearing up for a bear rally. We may be wrong, but time will tell and judging from what we are seeing recently, I would not even advise anyone to be in stock at the moment or trying to get in at this stage.
4304  Economy / Economics / Re: Malta is playing strong game on: October 09, 2018, 03:15:37 PM
It is just very unfortunate that not every country will be as smart as Malta. Obviously, Malta understands the fact that blockchain is the future, and knows simply that cryptocurrency is the future of money and are ready to be on the forefront knowing the importance it would bring to their economy.

This is a government that knows what they are doing, and they have all the regulation framework in place to be able to get Malta to be a very friendly country when it comes to blockchain and over time, we will get to see how this would obviously help them a lot as we are even beginning to see a lot of blockchain businesses flocking to this part of the world already.
4305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Summary Present Day > July 2022 on: October 09, 2018, 06:02:13 AM
10 month bear market until July 2022 stabilizing at global 4.2TN/BTC 105K

Although I love science fiction, at least for the epilogue you've got it wrong: in 2022 Bitcoin price should not have such "abrupt" evolution, not anymore. Far too many big institutions will be into this and we will get closer to what happens on Wall Street (where an 8% drop is seen almost like end of world).
I can imagine when a time will come and we will be seeing 8% drops in price like the end of the world Grin. You are right though, and I believe with the way things have been going thus far and institutions already wanting to get in big and at least gain some pretty good position, by then the common man who is a laggard will just be trying to pick the pieces left at the end and the chances of mainstream adoption would have sufficed.

Nonetheless, no one knows what tomorrow or next tomorrow holds, let alone the next 4 years, so the only thing we can do now is to just keep hoping for the best and knowing that development is something guaranteed for this space with the way things are going.
4306  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Big Move Is Coming Very Soon...Up or Down? on: October 08, 2018, 03:39:30 PM
The quiet before the storm is here. I’m not sure how much longer this sideways price action can go. A big move is coming. I still think we have a good dump coming taking us to $3000 before the next bull run. What’s your prediction?

Disclaimer: I’m Hodling
I think up is more likely. If it were to drop down there was nothing keeping it from going down right now, there are no buyers and no hype so if anyone wants to bring it down they can and they would had no trouble at all doing it, the prices are staying still almost all day which means you can collect 50+ million dollars worth of bitcoin everyday for the past 50 days at these levels and than all of a sudden sell all of it together at once and drop the price, no one would have done anything to stop you.

However to get it bigger you would have to get prepared a lot harder and need bigger capital. So, I think we are preparing for a lift off. Usually how down a market goes, it will lean double to triple of it. I remember some Forex analyst told me about the downtrend, it is like a power gaining phase for a future upward movement, who knows, bitcoin market might be in power gaining phase right now.
4307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of ETH? on: October 08, 2018, 02:37:06 PM
until any other altcoin will not be able to compete with ethereum also because this coin is very good in its potential and its future too
Ethereum is just another altcoin and the only difference it has is that it has a very good usefulness and it is the most used smart contract platform at least for now. Ethereum has a very good future and there is no doubt about that, but comparing it with bitcoin is actually an absurd thing for anyone to do. They are both in different lanes, and bitcoin will always have an advantage or edge over any altcoin to which Ethereum belongs and ask smart investors globally and they will tell you why they would likely choose bitcoin more than any other altcoin and at least before they start considering altcoins, they would have had enough bitcoin stashed up.

I think it could happen if Bitcoin also rises or stabilizes because the Bitcoin movement is very sensitive to its impact on the entire Altcoin
No, in recent times also etherum prices showed some independent movements against bitcoin prices. But entire crypto world's future is fully dependent on the success of bitcoin's. Still, I worry about lots of pre-mined ethereums and its nature of unlimited supply too.
4308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How deeply the Asian county will impact the cryptocurrency market??? on: October 08, 2018, 08:50:25 AM
What you think about the Asian county like China and India have impact on cryptocurrency and blockchain adoption and price. As they have the majority of population ( After government regulation)
I think it will have an insane amount of difference to make with those countries. For example, they combine make up over 30% of the worlds population, if you put that into perspective if they can bring in billions of dollars with the population that would be insane for bitcoin.

However, you are missing one vital problem, even tho the people there are outnumbering many in other countries they are not as rich as many other European countries and not USA, which means even tho there are a lot of rich people there the number of average joe getting into crypto is a lot harder for them. As Asia will have more than half of world population, we can expect heavy impact into crypto world but that is purely based on their government's states and not definitely by their crypto community.
4309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any platform that can pay user crypto to share you social media post or etc? on: October 08, 2018, 05:22:05 AM
Is there any crypto similar project which users can promote their post or etc and paid the others with crypto per share/like they made?
The only one I can actually pinpoint to as well now be steemit. Actually there are other ones that are already coming up by the day but they are not yet in wide usage yet when comparing to steemit that has really gone far. At least I have seen the likes of indorse that has to do with professional social media page like LinkedIn, I have gotten to see Sola as well which actually do have a very good UI but the thing that is very common with these other ones outside steemit is that they are not as popular as steemit, and popularity actually is something that has to do with usage and the likelihood of being able to get incentives.

I only know about steemit.

I'm not sure about these but check these articles.
5 Decentralized Social Media Sites To Help
7 social media powered by blockchain
Also check out TTU.
Actually, when it comes to social media posts or blog articles as the case may be, the most widely used so far still remains steemit. Thanks also for sharing this article, and I must say I was surprised to see the number of other social media platforms on the blockchain that has not really gain so much recognition. Probably, because it never crossed my mind to do research on that, I just assumed we really do not have them much.

I checked out Sola, and I must say I actually like the idea and I was surprised to see they have over 1million users. This is really a very good one I must say, and I will be trying it out soon.
4310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market/Bear Market trading strategies on: October 07, 2018, 11:59:25 AM
1 to 1 risk to reward ratio ?
I am really trying to look at how that has been playing out for you in a bear market. Even though you said 1 - 3% profit per trade, the fact that you included that 1 baffled me a bit. Nonetheless, I do not agree with the fact that for you to be a good trader, you have to be able to trade different markets, either bear or bull, as that is bullshit as it depends on your style or pattern of trading.

The fact that you are a day trader does not necessarily make every professional trader a day trader. Even for a bear market if I have to trade, I am not looking for anything less than a 2% profit to 1% loss ratio which is more reasonable to me.
4311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy Bitcoin Now For end off year 2018 on: October 07, 2018, 10:30:00 AM
Quote
bitcoin will be able to break the price of  $9000 the end of this year, as Mike Novogratz said

You are misleading here,  Mike Novogratz said that the BTC price wont break 9k this year. He further added that he once predicted that BTC price will touch beyond 45k$ in 2017 , which did not happened.
But a prediction is just a prediction..so roll it.

Sorry for my mistake, I mean Bitcoin Won't Break $ 9,000 This Year  Wink
and how about your advice to me brother
My advice to you is to stop listening to the bullshit some of the likes of Novogratz is saying. They are bullshit and baseless predictions that is not backed by anything and cannot be backed by anything because no one can tell what the future would hold.

Just like 3x2 said, this dude has made predictions in the past that ended up turning out bullshit, of course they will always find a way to cover up their bullshit and still come back later on to drop more bull shit. Listening to them is something that no smart thing would do. If you know you want to invest, just invest, monitor the trend and forget about what someone is saying about the future he or no one can see.
4312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q4 prediction for Bitcoin? Time to buy now? on: October 07, 2018, 04:34:55 AM
I have bought some bitcoin at a price of $ 6000. I hope Bitcoin will return to bull run. I think it's not late to buy Bitcoin. because currently the price is stable at $ 6500. So we just wait to see support going up. with the predictions that you provide this makes me believe bitcoin will rise again.
Well, for now all we can do is to just wait and see how things would end up.

The sentiment in the whole crypto space has really been changing for a while now, we can see some of the altcoins, getting extremely bullish to the core and then we have seen the way they are really breaking out with some good volume for some of them, and that is showing that the market could end up green before the end of this year, but really we cannot be so certain yet, until we eventually get to break out from this triangle formation that we are in right now, which is making everyone to be on the lookout as to where we are headed to next.

I guess we just have to remain optimistic, hope for the best, and just believe this would be another Q4 to remember and add to the history of Q4s in the past later on.
4313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What number would ETH and BTC reach for this coming bull? on: October 06, 2018, 03:31:19 PM
Can you explain in detail, why the price of bitcoin won't reach more than 15k and ETH won't reach more than 2-3k in this years? Indeed, everyone has a authorization to make a prediction, it's not harm, but it would be great if someone gave a clear reason for the prediction he made so that a reader would understand what you predicted.
We had be lucky if we get to see the price of BTC even reach $15k or probably see ETH grow that big the end of this year. I may be wrong, but I really would not expect so much as the case may be and even though we can see some bullish activity gearing up for the altcoin market as a whole, it still has not guaranteed anything yet. I have always learned to just keep living each day as it comes when it comes to a market as you cannot ascertain what the next second holds let alone, what the future holds, but while making the trend your best friend, you get better.
4314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market rebounding? on: October 06, 2018, 03:21:23 PM
I would say that market is still on its way to recover. We can see good movements by BTC but thats it. All other crypto is still down. I hope everything will be fine in the 1st quarter of 2019
Generally, we might say we could experience some bullish activities before the year runs out but at the same time, how things end up panning out will determine what happens thereafter. Altcoins have been down for a while now and a whole lot of them have touched their historical bottom which makes them an easy buy as far as I am concerned with not very tight stop loss.

The possibility of seeing a rebound where the sell volume has drastically reduced is something that is plausible and for now, looking at the way altcoins are really trying to make a move, with some of them already setting the pace like Doge and XRP, I would say we might be getting pretty close.
4315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A tip for choosing the exchange. on: October 06, 2018, 02:31:30 PM
mostly what happens is they stay in the exchange to avoid the large transaction fees.
The problem is they will get something out of your trade and then they will take another from your withdrawal.
Miners fee + others. Can't they just change it into dynamic mode? One of the questions I have been trying to look for answers.

Another is like HitBtc which is a robbery. Deposit fees. Ergh. That is just too much if you add the payment that you will have to do from all that little move you made.  Cry
Even if we are listing exchanges, HitBTC should not even be counted among. This is an exchange that is engaged in day light robbery like you said, no support, not even a good platform to trade on, several attempt to keep stealing users fund and so much more and I still wonder why people still make use of this exchange by the way.

Normally, we should expect that exchanges will always tend to make a whole lot for themselves, and even though we may want to see something dynamic, they are in it for the business of rendering service and bills got to be paid, isn't it ? However, being lenient with the fees is one thing that we should clamor on, and for what it is worth, we have seen exchanges like Binance doing a great job so far.
4316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make a profit from the Cryptopia market on: October 06, 2018, 12:36:30 PM
The difficulty most face is that they cannot distinguish between current and future earnings or realize that USD value of their portfolio is only relevant when they buy or sell in to USD. Once you can understand that then strategies like yours really can become profitable. Many days you may lose USD value but grow BTC value. Therefore long term as long as BTC increases you actually profit on those days.
Most times, what I expect people to always do is to try as much as possible to increase their bitcoin volume and that could be done in several ways which could be taking advantage of altcoins as well as hedging into fiat when it comes to trading bitcoin fluctuations as well. I do both as a long term trader and the good thing about this market is that as long as you understand it, everything is actually relative. Most of the time, fiat always come in handy when you know what you are doing anyway.

If bitcoin is in a bear trend, almost all the altcoins are usually in a bear trend as well, and this is a time you really want to be staying out, and in the long run, while picking bitcoin in the bottom you are still increasing your bitcoin, while taking advantage of the altcoin soaring as well to increase the bitcoin once they recover.
4317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Weekend pump or dump? on: October 04, 2018, 04:36:14 PM
In previous weeks we experienced crypto dumped during the weekends and seldomly pumps. What do you think will happen this week?
It is impossible to identify them and associate them with the days of the week especially. But the coming weeks will also not greatly rejoice, and there will be less reductions than pumps. Many investors have already fallen into such traps.
I even tend to wonder what people think when they ask questions like what the OP asked. Probably, they already assumed in their head that because it happened yesterday, it should happen as well today.

Well, things do not happen that way and most especially in a crypto market. I have seen market grown during the weekends before and I have seen market go down as well which is something we get to see during the week days as well. The only thing you can just do rather than making assumptions while judging with the past and trying to applying in the future is to monitor the trend and follow it.
4318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Relationship between Altcoins and Bitcoin on: October 04, 2018, 03:01:37 PM
It is not always the same but back in the day (couple years ago) when bitcoin went up the altcoins went down because of obvious financial reasons of altcoin not losing dollar value but lose value against increasing bitcoin prices.

Moreover, last year during the huge bull run at late November- December the bitcoin price was going high, it went from 900 dollars to $20k in 6 months yet all other altcoins followed as well for some reason instead of dropping value, eth increased insanely and made bunch of miners happy for example. Yet today we again see if bitcoin goes up other altcoins go down, like the old days.
4319  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency news on: October 04, 2018, 11:41:55 AM
I mean that is good to hear that more and more countries are open to crypto currency and are making it more accessible to the people, but i have to wonder how it will all work? Wil you input a wallet? Or do you guys have a local wallet. I understand buying crypto currency with your ATM, but how will you sell it?
I still believe we still have a long way to go but we will surely get there. Over time, a lot of countries will start seeing the need to adopt the blockchain technology and then find a way to regulate the cryptocurrency space and in that case, there would be a faster level of adoption and then we will get to see a more matured space. It is normal we will surely see laggards, and the same way we see FOMO as well with cryptocurrency market, I am sure at some point we will start seeing FOMO by the government of most countries and trying as much as possible not to get left out.

Take a look at internet, email and so on; things would not obviously just happen overnight as it surely will take some gradual process, so I believe it is something that would happen eventually.
You got a right example and we all know that Rome was not built on a single day. People here want to stop using their fiats right away and want to start using cryptos from the moment they prefer and also they want bitcoin prices to be in millions from today onward Grin. In my experience only patience enabled me rich.
4320  Economy / Economics / Re: China moves further towards cashless society on: October 04, 2018, 10:23:17 AM
That is really something not so good, I must say. In as much as we keep talking about the cashless age being the future, I believe it is something on its own that will gradually diminish, but in this case of these old people being left out for not being able to adapt to the new ways of doing things, is really not a good one.

Moving forward towards a cashless society does not mean you should at least have a way of either enlightening people first or at least considered that some people are still living a borrowed time, but they are still living.

Probably, in this kind of scenario, the cashiers would have just left the old man stranded or being denied his craving for grapes all in the name of not going cashless. That is preposterous!
