I am seeing reports that people who take ACE inhibitors and anti-inflammatory drugs may be more susceptible. Do you have any information on this?

Would you release the virus in the same location as the lab?  Your (crackpot) theory makes no sense.

Sure it does. Plausible deniability. "It leaked out by accident. Don't attack us please, it was a mistake we promise." You know what is even better than crackpot theories? Letting everyone else do your thinking for you and waiting for permission to think.

You are the kind of guy who would see three seedy looking guys in a dark alley, and go down it anyway because there is no evidence they are going to rob and murder you. You are little more than a domesticated animal in human form waiting to have your throat slit and your blood drained before butchering.

You attack me because you are a coward unwilling to look at the horrors right in front of your eyes. Anyone who doesn't have their head firmly lodged up their ass just like you, you perceive as a threat because any exposure to free thought pokes holes in your carefully cultivated willful escapist ignorance. All of the impotent lashing out in the world is not going to brow beat me into being a mindless meat sack like you, so save it.

1184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The UK is moving towards forced isolation for people over 70. on: March 16, 2020, 10:38:44 AM
This is absolutely nonsense. There has to be some ulterior motive, perhaps what you have suggested but I suspect something more. I think part of it is they know this is they know this demographic will be the one putting the most strain on the public healthcare system. As a result they are probably trading your freedoms for a reduction in the strain on the medical system.

The really sad part of this injustice is it won't even help stem the spread. At most this would only provide a temporary reduction on the strain of the system. This pandemic is being used by governments all over the world to strip the people of their rights. This will not stop, they will keep doing it more and more and more. This disease is being used as a Hegelian strategy for totalitarians to take absolute control.

1186  Economy / Goods / Neocaridina Davidi Dwarf Shrimp - Red & Blue - BEST PRICE! on: March 15, 2020, 11:57:28 PM
I have some shrimp I have been raising for sale. These are great tank mates for a lot of different fish, are great for keeping your tank clean, and are very fun to watch. As long as they won't fit in your fish's mouth, chances are they will get along fine. They also make good supplements as feeders if you raise them in a separate tank to get them started first. You will get a good variety of color grades, sexes, and maturities. If you want only premium color grades PM me to discuss pricing. You won't find a better deal for these! USA only.

Price includes shipping. Shipping cost is not refundable under any circumstances, contact me within an hour of delivery with a photo of the shrimp sealed in the bag for a refund of any DOAs. I have to do it this way because I can't be held liable if you leave it to sit on your porch for hours and let the heat or cold kill them. They are packed well enough to resist temperature extremes for a short period though. Feel free to PM me any questions.

I also have various snails and aquatic plants for sale. Please inquire via PM.

1188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will all the world hold China responsible for corona-v on: March 15, 2020, 11:14:15 PM
I thought this was relevant here:

I heard another interesting possible motive that China would have for this being a self inflicted wound. China is losing the trade war, the world is waking up to its totalitarian practices, its economy is running on fumes and fraud and its time is numbered as retraction is inevitable for them. The USA is actively moving manufacturing back on shore, but it is still heavily dependent on China as a supply chain.

If China were to shut down access to its production capacity, it would most certainly see repercussions, either in the form of sanctions or possibly even war. However, with this outbreak as an excuse to lock everything down and quarantine its work force, they have a justification for denying the world access to its supply chain before it can rebuild its production capacity domestically. In this way, it could be a preemptive strike on the world's economy by China. Knowing it's own fate is sealed, it may have chosen to go forward with a form of economic mutually assured destruction.

Of course this also has the added benefit of allowing them to almost totally end any domestic dissent and protests, as well as round up massive numbers of dissidents under the pretense of quarantines. This also serves as a form of depopulation, not just by the disease, but by welding people into their apartments to starve, or simply not have access to food because everything is shut down.

So far this is the most plausible motive I have heard that aligns not only with all of the facts of the circumstances of the matter, seeing as China's only level 4 pathogen lab is located in Wuhan, but the results long term serve to benefit the CCP most as they struggle to maintain control.
1189  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: March 15, 2020, 11:02:41 PM
I never said China was communist.  They have been delivering food to people under quarantine so I'm not sure where you're getting the starve thing from.

BTW, quite curious that you aren't complaining about the recent quantitative easing since you are so against money printing. The fed is back at it again and you are silent.

What the fuck does me complaining about it change? There is literally no way out of this other than total economic collapse at this point. Great whataboutism as usual.

Here are some videos of how wonderfully China is handling this.

1190  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Capitalism vs. Socialism - Make your argument here. on: March 15, 2020, 08:15:10 PM
So its clear that capitalism is better for a small minority, the top percentiles of the population. Its also clear that the group expands during times of economic prosperity.

What should be clear is that capitalist systems are ill-prepared for disaster and that socialism thrives at making things good for the people and times that would otherwise be worse off.  Public health is collectivized.  We are all connected.  If one of us gets sick, we all might get sick.  The natural world cannot be changed to fit into this artificial capitalist system.

Vietnam and Cuba are handling this crisis brilliantly while the US absolutely fails to scramble its mangled social systems.  Everyone knows the markets can't fix coronavirus.

China: Hoospitals built in days, hundreds of thousands tested

Vietnam: no deaths, rapid testing, free meal delivery for quarantined

Cuba: Antiviral developed days after first case

US/UK: Rich bolt off to doomsday bunkers

The limitless depths of your ignorance never ceases to amaze and disturb me. Is it clear? Is it? Italy has a mostly publicly funded healthcare system. They are doing great right?

I thought China wasn't Communist, you have said this many times. FYI, those aren't "hoospitals", they are prisons for people to die in quarantine. They are welding people into their apartment blocks leaving them to starve.

You really believe Cuba developed an effective antiviral drug against Covid-19 in days? Do you really even believe any of the diarrhea dribbling out of your mouth or do you think the ends justify the means so it is ok to lie? The fact that you think this is a great opportunity to push your political goals tells me exactly the kind of human detritus you really are.

You are probably one of those people on twitter telling sick people to go to Trump rallies as if those people getting sick won't then in turn infect your friends and family. The good news is you will get your chance to LAARP revolutionary soon. When you are remembering how great you had it when you are struggling to stay alive, remember me Captain Postmodern.

I had noticed in one of his previous speeches his pace was slower than usual, his voice was raspy and he seemed to be gasping for air and trying hard to not make it evident. I think there is a good chance even if he was infected they might not admit it for a whole host of reasons. I would assume he would be getting top level medical treatment, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is more reclusive for a few weeks.

Newbie: posts something
...
It's not a matter of if there's an alt accusation, but when.
You know how easy it would be to construct a couple posts that "fit" to the character/personality/prose of a user here, in order to fool others?

Probably really... fuckin'... easy.

Just remember, bozos:

quit being shitheads

Absolutely true. However when their motives and intent also align... that is a pretty good indicator. This was a pretty hamfisted sloppy attempt at remaining anonymous.

noyou.jpg

If you really think post reporting is being used as a form of censorship, why do you keep crying about the posts you report not being censored?

Pick a lane buddy,

You think you are way more clever than you are Captain Semantics. The point is I report actual off topic posts and they are almost universally ignored. Not marked bad, unhandled.

When posts I make that are relevant to the topic but hurt some one's bum bum, the clown in question and all his clown friends report it as off topic knowing a certain percentage of them will get removed. I have already had confirmation of this from moderators.

This post was reported out of pure butthurt because a joke was being made at their expense. Beyond it being a joke it had meaning in the larger context of the conversation, but mods don't have the time or care to read that far into it do they? Just clickity clack pump those report logs out. Little girls like Nutilduhh and TwittySeal know this so they spam reports knowing a certain percentage will be removed as a result.

Calm your perpetually angry tits for a change. I didn't report that post or any of those posts, and I certainly don't "spam reports."

The last report I made on a post of yours for being off-topic remains unhandled:

~snip~

What are you trying to prove by going on this witch hunt anyways ?

There is no evidence of me scamming anyone explicitly in anything you drag out here. Yes, I didn't control that account from the date of its creation but it was given to me in an personal deal I could not disclose. Yet, though I have not attempted to do anything financially risky or engage in any scamming beheviour from it.

It's clear that you are just intrested in bragging me up with anything you could bring down but it reflects your anger and greed to crush someone speaking against your selective trust abuse.

I KNEW IT! You ate a Payday bar back in April 3rd of 2016! These peanut fragments submitted as exhibit #2 prove it! Just wait until I start counting them!

[img  width=500]https://i.imgur.com/daM2fOa.jpg[/img]

I am so hot on your trail I can feel it!

Yet you won't see me opening any threads about it or crying about grave injustices because I'm not a man baby.

I'm trying to put myself in your mindset... what would it actually take for me to open a thread crying about my reports being unhandled... and I just can't do it, because I could never lose that kind of awareness of the bigger picture. For someone who has been here as long as you have, you sure know fuckall about how the forum works.

Thanks for the demonstration of the fact that you do in fact report relevant posts to the topic as off topic. First of all, joking is allowed. Second of all, that joke is relevant to the subject of the thread and is intended to make a point about the obsessive and overzealous nature of the users targeting the person in question. It is very much on topic.

Just because you don't like the point it makes doesn't make it off topic. This is the exact kind of reporting a moderator might not take the time to read the context of the thread to understand and remove, and you know this. Of course you don't have to make a thread, because you don't have a clown car following you around reporting all of your posts.
