But... I mean... Isn't that about exactly the same thing you tagged TECSHARE for?
So it's ok when you do it, but not when someone else does it to you?
My rating on TECSHARE has nothing to do with the rating the user in question left me. Can people please stop trying to divert my threads into off-topic discussions? I purposely left out self-mod and local thread rules for fairness, and this is what one gets.. sigh.

I find it entirely on topic that you are defending yourself here from a tactic of which "precedent" you set yourself..

Stuff like this needs to stop.  Undecided

You'd have much more legitimacy speaking against these actions if you didn't do the same exact thing yourself..

This is the exact point I was making about Vod 5 years ago. These people want a system that has no hard and fast rules. They want to define the rules on the fly by mob rule. They then want to set the precedent for tagging people as they please, but then never want the precedent enforced against them. This is why I have been arguing forever for subjective evidence of theft, violation of contract, or violation of applicable laws before rating. How the fuck is anyone supposed to follow the rules with people like this setting precedents? Even the people who want to couldn't possibly comply because they are ever changing, arbitrarily, and selectively enforced.

I didn't understand the correlation between Nazis and Antifa guys.
If you did, can you please explain?

the correlation is that they are both anti usd imperialism and anti GBP imperialism in certain ways, they could potentially be people who want a different form of government spending

or they could be a submarines used by other nazis and racists like black lives matter (only black lives?) etc.

So the entirety of your OP doesn't matter? Why did you make a thread for it then?

Thanks for the immediate demonstration of what I just said.

GREAT JOB!

1766  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Virginia Governor Issues SECRET EXECUTIVE ORDERS to TAKE TOTAL POWER..." on: February 13, 2020, 04:18:49 PM
Its a total power grab for whoever wins the popular president vote, not governor vote. This also includes Donald Trump, should he win the popular vote. So in no way were you right. You were just spreading misinformation, I suppose because you've sunk to the depths of becoming a full-on troll. Hard to explain otherwise.

So wait, you agree it is a power grab. You now admit these are more than just bills but actual passed laws as I warned was likely as you dismissed them as only bills. Because it "could also be Trump" now my argument is invalid? Cool story bruh.

This is what I had a problem with:

"Virginia Governor Issues SECRET EXECUTIVE ORDERS to TAKE TOTAL POWER while everyone was watching GUN BILLS!"

Literally none of that is true.

Yes, we are all well aware of your focus on anything other than the facts of the matter. You know the content. What is important is you can find something, ANYTHING, to dismiss the rest of it. Thanks for playing Nutilduhhhhhh. Back to your walled garden where only people who don't hurt your feels can talk.

Do you ever find it odd how some people can have such an austere, one-sided belief system to the point where they just ignore obvious lies in order to keep espousing their initial viewpoint? I enjoy entertaining opposing viewpoints for the sake of actually bettering my understanding of the reality of any given situation.

TS missed the real news that Virginia actually passed the bill about awarding all electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote, amid certain conditions of course. It's a total power grab -- for which ever president wins the popular vote, provided the commonwealth of states signing similar laws into practice is active.

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/482766-virginia-house-passes-bill-to-award-electoral-votes-to-whoever-wins-the

That is a pretty convoluted way to say I was right.

Don't want to get in middle of others personal conflict but self modding a discussion is lame.
Why would anyone even look for an opinion if they don't want to here anything that differs from theirs.

If they want to push an idea that they can't defend in an open debate, it makes perfect sense.

My ideas aren't so weak I need to remove opposing points, unlike you and Twittyseal who rely on self moderated threads so that your ideas are never challenged.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5103785.0   Huh

We have been over this already Vod, I know you are thirsty to find anything you can to impugn my character, but you are Artax and your bullshit is The Swamps of Sadness. The more you struggle the further into your own bullshit you sink. There is a difference between open political discussion and a log of incidents serving a specific purpose, even if you pretend to not know the difference. Also, unlike them, here I am engaging in an open thread. Anything else before you sink beneath the muck Artax? ARTAX?!!!
1775  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: February 13, 2020, 12:43:32 PM
VOD does not appear to be a significant abuser when compared to some other members. He seems far less active than in previous years.

That is because he knows he is on thin ice after doxing and reporting OGNasty to the IRS. The only thing that ever keeps Vod in check is the community penalizing him for going too far. If this negative reinforcement wasn't there he would be lording over as many people as he could manage with his obsessive malignant abuse. This is demonstrated by the fact any time he goes too far, he says he is sorry, hides for a week or two, then returns and repeats the same abusive behavior again once the pressure on him has died down. He has no ability for self regulation, the only regulation he responds to is the kind where he suffers repercussions.
1776  Other / Meta / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FLYING HELLFISH - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AND CENSORSHIP on: February 13, 2020, 12:32:49 PM
Just seems like your problem could easily be resolved by opening a self-modded thread.

My ideas aren't so weak I need to remove opposing points, unlike you and Twittyseal who rely on self moderated threads so that your ideas are never challenged.

Fucking hell, Lauda, QS & Vod all burying past grudges & forgiveness is in the air?

I know it’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow but come on, I can hear Lauda purring from here, the dirty little minx.

Seriously guys, good stuff. Now if OgNasty could follow suit?

The only thing being buried is current ongoing abuse by Lauda and Vod, using this as cover for it, in the hope everyone forgets it is still ongoing by giving up on beating a dead horse that has been nothing but a pile of bones for a few years now.
1778  Other / Meta / Self Mod Topics In Politics & Society Are For Weak Children - Change My Mind on: February 13, 2020, 12:26:22 PM
It used to be this section would immediately chastise anyone for starting a self moderated topic here for any reason, as this is a section for discussion and debate of contentious issues, and curating people's speech is antithetical to the concept of open debate and discussion. In other sections where a specific goal or narrow topic is at hand this makes perfect sense to use self moderated topics. Here, its use is antithetical to the very concept of free speech. The internet is packed to the brim with outlets for censored and curated speech. This forum is one of the last remaining platforms where people can speak freely, and people who claim to be for free speech are throwing that right in the garbage can by normalizing the use of self moderated topics here.

What I see happening, and is already happening is people with weak ideas will simply run their own self moderated threads, then anyone who remains posting open threads will be allowed to be flooded with bullshit, resulting in the weak ideas being protected, and the open debate being pushed out by virtue of the fact that the same people who want to control the speech also will derail the open discussions. The solution to bad speech, is more free speech. Opening self moderated threads in Politics & Society is antithetical to free speech and discussion. All they have to do to get the free speech shut down is to shit up the open threads until people give up and self moderate them, and their goal of normalizing controlling and limiting speech is achieved either way. The only way to resist is to keep everything open and shun anyone who doesn't. Free speech is too valuable to be given up over petty annoyances. Don't start or participate in self moderated threads in Politics & Society. Don't submit to totalitarian harpies for a minor convenience.

EDIT: FYI- this was posted in Politics & Society originally. Considering it is addressing not only the forum subsection but the nature of free speech itself, I don't see why it was moved to Meta, but the local moderator there enjoys interfering with my activities there as much as he is able to. As usual, any chance he gets to act upon my posts are taken advantage of immediately while almost all the reports I make there go ignored.
1779  Other / Meta / Re: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE: FLYING HELLFISH - SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT AND CENSORSHIP on: February 13, 2020, 12:08:42 PM
Today TECSHARE is upset not because this post was deleted, but because it wasn't deleted from one of his threads:

Can you believe the MAGA bomber thing happened less than 6 months ago?

He is upset because his report remains Unhandled after 3 days.

I have a suggestion for him: open a moderated thread, that way you can delete any reply you deem to be off-topic as soon as you want it gone.

So is that post off topic or not? Seems like it is. If it is then off topic reports are being selectively enforced as I stated. I am not you and TwittySeal, all my OPs in Politics & Society remain open to free discussion, unlike his, where he regularly removes substantive on topic posts simply because he disagrees with them, as you do Nutilduhhhh.

This is the game FlyingHellfish plays. I make a post about him ignoring reports, he waits days or weeks, does nothing, or marks it as bad. If he gets called out he can just act after the fact and pretend like he was going to get around to it. Meanwhile he always seems to find the time to nearly instantaneously respond to any reports on posts I make. All one big coincidence I am sure. You and Twittyseal are both free to post in my OPs as much as you like, you are not free to ignore the forum rules and post off topic any more than I am. If I am going to have rules enforced upon me I also expect to have the protection of those same rules. Currently I do not.
