1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC survive if encryption/cryptography becomes illegal? on: July 12, 2022, 03:07:16 AM
Cryptography can’t get illegal. Wtf are you talking about? The whole world uses these technologies. Banks, businesses, police, cc companies, i mean pretty much everyone.

They may try to outlaw bitcoin but cryptography/encryption will never be banned. Banning these is like banning math. It is the same level of absurdity.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 11, 2022, 03:23:04 AM
People always should gamble for entertainment. Winning is the casino’s job, not the player’s. See Vegas and the other physical casinos in the world, they are all about entertainment. The players always lose money in the long term but the trick is making them feel good about it so they will always come back and lose more. You make them feel good by offering free stuff like snacks and drinks and good looking hostesses.
1703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BITCOIN + Crypto Market Analysis on: July 10, 2022, 12:33:51 AM
Personally, I do not like the style of suspense YouTubers or their choice of video titles, it seems that they are sure of the direction of the market and therefore the advice they will give will be in one way or another investment advice that may lead to some losing their money.

I remember one of the channels has several analyzes on the same day, and then after a month they delete the wrong predictions and tells the users that the technical analysis of the channel was accurate.

Can you give us a few words as a summary of the video and leave us the option to watch it?

Youtube is all about clickbaiting now. Every video thumbnail I see looks like this ":O" They all have surprised fuckface face which is super irritating. You can still find some real information on youtube but you'll have to know what you are looking for because youtube algo brings the unrelated hype stuff mostly which you don't need.

OP's post is probably an ad for his channel. Can't bother with clicking that link. Another click bait.
1704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer Gloria Zhao becomes first female Bitcoin Core maintainer on: July 09, 2022, 11:18:24 AM
Cool but bitcoiners don’t care about developer gender one bit. As long as she can get the shit done, she will be OK.   Why would we care about a bitcoin dev’s gender? Male, female, gay, lesb, android, genderless, AI… they are all the same for me when it comes to developing something. This is not female sports where transgenders are participating in we are talking about. Developing is all about your brain power. Gender has no meaning.
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 09, 2022, 09:30:05 AM
KYC is being weaponized by the casinos. When they think the player won “too much” money, they ask for KYC and then even you give them your data, they tell you that can’t tell you about the process because it is against the law blablabla and your money will be seized by the casino just like that. The exchanges do it too. That’s why people hate KYC wholeheartedly. Most of the time KYC is a tool for shielding the scammers.
1706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: July 08, 2022, 09:19:21 PM
People are waiting to buy lower, but what if you're wrong and this is the bottom?

You never know what's going to happen next.

This is called “timing the markets”

It is very hard to succeed but when you do, it is the most rewarding.

Since most fail with it, it is often said that time spent in the markets give you safer returns than trying to time it.

All TA people try to time the markets and most of them lose money while people who DCA make enormous returns.
1707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you guys invest meme coins now? on: July 08, 2022, 09:14:16 PM
Memecoins are the all pump and dump coins. Even doge is. I wouldn’t invest in them seriously. They are good if you can time their lows but this applies to every stock and other coins. In the long run most meme coins will die off so don’t think long term with them. Bitcoin is the most safest coin out there. You don’t need anything else
1708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY is Terra pumping ? on: July 07, 2022, 01:42:01 PM
To... dump it on you of course. Hence the name, pump&dump - shitcoin. The other explanation is, because they can.

TerraLuna is known by everybody now. It is bad press but still press. Naturally it attracts pump&dumpers. At some point Its marketcap became so small, it was too easy to pump it and dump on the noobs. That's what they are doing.

TerraLuna is now one of the perfect p&d shitcoins in existence, till it dies off completely.
1709  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake making new accounts is too easy on: July 07, 2022, 01:12:02 PM
So I decided to have a bit of fun on stake casino. From a little fun turned into a huge addiction. Like every other site I decided to permanently exclude myself from stake. Only issue is that I was literally able to make another account on stake within 10minutes. All it takes is a new fake email and fake name and I'm back to gambling.  I've lost count to how many accounts I've made because I always wanted to end the madness. I would actually tell them hey I'm using a VPN, hey I'm 16 and playing here for them to ban me from they're sites but I just kept making new accounts and kept playing.
How are they allowed to do this? Why am I able to make as many accounts as I want to continue gambling. I've self excluded again but I guarantee that in 2weeks time I'll.be back making a new account gambling. No other site allows you to do this. How will stake address this issue of players who permanently self exclude themselves but continue to make new accounts. I've actually got it down that I'm able to make a new account and play within 10minutes. It's a joke. I'm scared of what will happen.....

There is no power on earth to keep you from playing if you can't do it yourself. Stop blaming stake. If you are addicted to gambling, see a doctor take professional help. Stake makes its money from gamblers like you especially. It is not their fault that you can't control yourself.

Do you blame tobacco sellers too? There are many smoking addicts who can't resist smoking tobacco whenever they see someone smoking. They buy a new pack right away. It is the same thing.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 07, 2022, 12:03:54 PM
It is not going to work. If you want to gamble without paying any money, buy yourself a pair of dice and throw it whenever you feel like gambling. Or watch sports and write down your bets. This is literally free.

ManU vs Real M.

Example:

MU W: 2.0, Draw 3.0, MU L: 1.5

Bet on whichever choice and wager your imaginary money. You can do this for every game there is.
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: July 06, 2022, 04:31:20 PM
The coin which I haven't bought yet. Also millionaire in what? Seashells or US dollars?

I don't think a USD millionaire would waste time writing posts in this forum so you are asking this in the wrong place. Maybe go visit where the rich people hang out and you'll have your answer, that's if you can enter them places. (assuming that you are also poor)

LTC, XMR, BTC, ETH, DOGE they all created lots of multi millionaires before.
1712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bank of America reported a 50% decline of active cryptocurrency users. on: July 06, 2022, 03:49:27 PM
Big if true. But also very natural. That'!s what happens during the bear markets. Bitcoin and other crypto tanks, people speak of crypto no more and when they least expect it, bitcoin makes a huge jump and everybody talks about it again. Happened many times before and it will happen again. This is the accumulation phase. Don't let it go to a waste.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 06, 2022, 11:03:11 AM
After this experience I believe gambling is for the big bag holders, if you're in urge of making a win. Very much disappointed, because it is the last few dollars I had as a cryptocurrency holding. If I had more funds I wouldn't have encountered this big loss. Martingale once again a failed strategy when you don't have big bag of money.

Big bag, small bag... it don't really matter because your bags are probably not bigger than the casino's bags. Even if they are, the casino is protecting itself against the players with the limitations like house edge, maximum bet amount etc. These precautions are in place to make sure of that the player cannot win in the long run.

Think about it, you are gambling. You are wagering your money. You want to win. But the casino also wants to win. They want to win your money. One of you is going to lose money and it ain't be the casino.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have real value? on: July 06, 2022, 10:57:22 AM
Of course it does.

1 Bitcoin is approximately worth 20 thousand US dollars which is enough to buy a decent used car everywhere in the world. Whether you say it has value or not has no meaning. The world isn't spinning around you. Maybe bitcoin is worthless to you, that's fine. Lots of other people think that way too but on the other hand, lots people people think its worth $20k right now.

The US dollar has value too. No matter how crappy it is getting, people still use it.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Web5 a "catch phrase"? on: July 05, 2022, 11:19:38 AM
I think I’ll wait for web 5s or maybe, web 6. I have been using web 2 since I don’t know when but its battery life is no good anymore. I can’t go everywhere carrying a powerbank with me it is pretty tiring.

I’ve seen the design of web5, it is pretty too damn big. After the previous CEO’s death, Dorsey couldn’t manage to make the necessary improvements on the company so far.

If they remake the web2.0 with a bigger battery, I am sold. Would preorder this in a second.
1716  Economy / Economics / Re: Uganda’s gold discovery: What it could mean for crypto !!! on: July 04, 2022, 11:02:32 AM
More gold discovered means there will be more gold around and naturally one would expect the gold prices to come down. It has nothing to do with bitcoin or crypto in general. Congratz to the Ugandanian people if the news are true. Hopefully there isn't a corrupt government ruling Uganda so the Ugandanian people will be able to take their share from this newly found wealth.

Bitcoin and gold can coexist. It don't have to be one or another. Both will have their spot.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff account frozen on: July 04, 2022, 10:24:11 AM
We need a decentralized token which is pegged to USD but it is probably never going to work as we have seen with terra luna. Bitcoin isn't exactly a solution to this problem because of its volatility. In the future when bitcoin replaces the USD yes it will be the ultimate solution but not now. People will have to obey banks a bit longer. Even bankers (like Peter Schiff) don't like banks as you've seen in the OP.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: July 03, 2022, 05:16:51 PM
All of these bonuses are trying to deposit money and spend them on games. They are not realy that special. The owner of the casino has done the math. If you deposit money and wager it enough times, you’ll lose money in the long run. If it wasn’t working that way, he wouldn’t be giving out them bonuses.

It is still better than nothing though. If you are a regular player, you get to play a few more rounds.
1719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Be a Failure Even If It Hits $100,000, Says "Black Swan" Author !! on: July 03, 2022, 05:13:15 PM
On the contrary, bitcoin will still be a success even if the price of 1 btc hits $1. Bitcoin’s success or failure has nothing to do with its price. It is all about a functioning network. If bitcoin hits $1 tomorrow, the fundamentals will still be there staying like a rock. Marketcap, price … these are useless metrics. Full blocks is what really matters and they are almost always full which means people are lining up to use this elite blockchain.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Pros and Cons of Bitcoin Gambling on: July 02, 2022, 06:48:08 PM
The only downside of gambling with bitcoin is also its greatest strength. Being anonymous and unregulated. You are free from the government if you play on the right casino but when you have a problem with the casino, things may turn upside down because there isn’t a higher authority protect your rights. Decentralization and being anonymous cuts both ways. It is great while it is working but when it don’t, you are effed.
