3) He is self-moderating the thread

Just don't post in any self-moderated thread unless you really trust the user that created the topic. Whenever I enter a self-moderated topic, I immediately close that tab because I know that the OP would delete any posts he don't like. Maybe he won't like what I am going to say and delete my posts too... then why would I risk my precious time on that? I am posting my message so people can read it. If somebody can delete it because he/she can without a reason, then it doesn't make sense to make that post in the first place.

1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 26, 2023, 09:05:02 AM
Mine does. It is taxfree if you win anything below ~$1200 but if you win more than that, you'll have to pay a 20% tax to the government on that winning.
How do you determine winning?
From bank to bookie $1k. Then from bookie to bank $2.2K?

How about from bank to bookie more $1k after that coming $2.2K. And no other incoming from bookie. that leaves $200 only but you had incoming of $2.2k and it seems you are being taxing for even $200!

Here they don't give a damn about what went to the bookie from the bank and what came back. If you made any profits on a game and that profit is bigger than appr. $1200, then you have to declare your income and pay a tax. That's all that matters. It may sound ridiculous but the gov is the only bookie around here.  Cool So the money you send from the bank to the bookie, it goes directly to a government entity. Now you should get the idea of what's happening. Cool You can't hide from the taxxxmannn
1064  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another mixer with chips? on: March 26, 2023, 08:59:11 AM
Even if you somehow encounter a similar mixer, the chances are very high that your are going to get scammed by them. Chipmixer had years of experience and reputation. A random mixer will never have the same amount of trust unless it proves itself first. And even though all the reputation CM had, people still discuss if CM were logging their users or not because of the 7tb seized data by the FBI. Are you going to trust another crypto mixer so blindly after what happened?
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is storing bitcoin is more secure in iPhone than in an Andriod phone on: March 26, 2023, 08:54:29 AM
Most of us keep our bitcoin and crypto in wallets stored in either iPhone or Andriod phones. Even we have an exchanges accounts app on our mobile phones.

Since,  iOS offer better security and low chance of malwares etc, is it better to buy an iphone to store our crypto or even an Andriod phone is enough for this purpose?

Note: We know hardware wallets are the best alternative but here we are discussing about Bitcoin is more secure in iOS or in an Andriod based phone.

Probably yes. I still wouldn't store too many coins in either of them because regardless of the OS they are using, they are both hot wallets in the end. If you want to store your coins for the long term, then you need to get an offline/cold wallet. I am not going to get into the specifics since there are many tutorials on that subject.

How much cash normally you would carry in your physical cash wallet? $200? $500? $1000? Find an answer to this question. If your answer is "$200" then this is the amount you should be keeping in your mobile device.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country tax your gambling winnings? on: March 26, 2023, 07:47:47 AM
I live in Australia and we have no taxes on all gambling winnings (lottery, hose racing, sports betting and casinos).
I know the USA has gambling taxes and I think it's ridiculous.
You are risking your own money and if you win you are penalised.
I'm curious as to how many other users have to pay taxes on their winnings.

Mine does. It is taxfree if you win anything below ~$1200 but if you win more than that, you'll have to pay a 20% tax to the government on that winning. I don't think it is any different in any country. Unless it is one of those countries that don't tax income, you'll get taxed whenever you make money from anything. It doesn't matter how you make your money. Whether it is from trading, working, collecting rents or dividends, gambling... they tax them all. They even tax bank interest which is under the inflation rate. You already get buttfucked for putting your money in a bank and they still tax it. Fuck them greedy bitchez.
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 26, 2023, 07:41:58 AM
I don't really see how CBDC are a game changer. Online crypto casino should stick to legit projects like BTC, ETH, DOGE, LTC etc... They have already proven themselves and they work just fine. Just don't do any business with the govs and let them implode.
CBDC can be a game changer if the government ban the whole stable coin, the worst case they ban all cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin. If the government force their citizens to use CBDC, we have no option because we can't reject it, especially if there's no cash is used anymore.

However I'm not supporting CBDC and I just hope the government will not ban all cryptocurrencies because it will create a huge panic.

I don't think they can ban crypto at this stage. Coinbase and Gemini are regulated legit crypto exchanges that pay taxes in the US. Banning crypto would mean destroying these big companies and any other business that depend on these exchanges. Lots of people will lose their jobs, lots of enterprises will go bankrupt and the capital will flow out of the US. The US will lose its best attraction point for the entrepreneurs. The US gov can't afford this. Crypto is here to stay, with or without CBDC.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't become world currency (at least now). on: March 26, 2023, 02:37:02 AM
You are right. Bitcoin is not in the same league as the Dollar or the Euro and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Bitcoin is a boutique currency and even though every person on earth won’t be using it, there will always be some demand for it because there will always be some people who would want to use bitcoin. Replacing the USD or Gold, these are childish targets for btc. Bitcoin is not gold and it certainly isn’t the USD. It is different than both and something completely unique.
1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The future of CBDC in gambling. on: March 25, 2023, 12:58:52 PM
If Casino's in Macau begin accepting CBDC's, It may prompt other casino's to follow suit especially in places where CBDC's already have the Legal Tender status.

Gambling Capital of the World Macau to accept CBDC as Legal tender

Since CBDC's are not really any different than FIAT, the casinos that don't accept FIAT won't accept CBDC's too. Fundamentally CBDC's and FIAT are both the same thing. If a casino gets into trouble for accepting FIAT or any players from the United States, that casino will experience the same problems if they accept CBDC's as deposits. I don't really see how CBDC are a game changer. Online crypto casino should stick to legit projects like BTC, ETH, DOGE, LTC etc... They have already proven themselves and they work just fine. Just don't do any business with the govs and let them implode.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Crypto: The World's Greatest Scam" (youtube) on: March 25, 2023, 05:50:47 AM
Who cares what a random youtuber nut says about crypto? Many other famous youtubers say otherwise. You can't expect people to believe everything you believe anyway... There are people that believe the world is flat for fucks sake and they live among us. Does the earth care about their opinion? No. It keeps spinning like it always has been for thousands of years. In the end, haters gonna hate, the honey badger won't care and keep finding them goodies. Nothing to see here.
1071  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: March 25, 2023, 04:28:42 AM
Interesting that Aerospace, defence and pharmaceuticals are at the bottom of chart. AI should have been proactive in those field considering they are life savers for us. Pharma gives you second chance of extended living, defence will defend you in the war zone while aerospace could be your second home. AI should be working more in that field a lot.

That being said, we should also be worried that AI is taking over our jobs so we must think about AI in slowest possible way. Do we really need them to enter in every field of work? We will have colony of labours everywhere while AI does the white collar job. Not sure how it is gonna pan out in next decade.

Pharma/Medical products are at the bottom because they affect human body and there is no turning back there once you let AI make mistakes. Humans will always be better scientists than AI on that department. AI can drill better holes on the walls than humans, AI can be better at automation/assembly, serving food maybe but when it comes to creating a new drug, you can't beat the human brain. However that doesn't mean pharmacists can't benefit from AI at all. Thanks to AI, we will have better pharmacists/doctors and better pharmaceutical products in the future.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legal side to promoting bitcoin. on: March 24, 2023, 05:23:45 PM
Nobody gives a damn about any forum celebrities as far as I am aware. The SEC goes after people like Kardashian because these people can affect hundreds of thousand of people with a tweet of theirs. The most famous forum celebrity or even the forum admins can't affect that many people and therefore the SEC won't give a shit about what we say here. Thousands of people shill shitcoins on every dark corner of the internet. Do you expect the SEC to go after all of them? Nope. It is not happening. Shilling crypto is not a crime.

1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SOLANA's Wormhole Hacker Strikes Again: $155 Million Worth of ETH Moved to DEX on: March 24, 2023, 04:50:02 AM
-cut-
The Wormhole team is offering a $10 million bounty for the return of stolen funds
-cut-
As in contrast $10 million bounty is almost half of a bounty promised from Saddam Hussein back in day. El Chapo had smaller bounties. Osama Bin Laden had $5 million bounty from information that would lead to arrest. Russian hacker Bogachev that's world's most wanted cyber criminal has only 3 million bounty.

They really want to get these guys.

Today's $10 million and a $10m from 20 years ago have completely different purchasing powers. See the FED balance sheet chart. Right now it is nearly 9 trillion USD. Before 2008 it was under a trillion USD. My point is, $5m from 20 years ago probably have the same purschasing power of today's $50m and it will get even worse. The FDIC will insure every deposit account regardless of their balance. That's insane. Why can't we just let the bad businesses go bankrupt anymore?
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Competition between AMD and Nvidia on: March 23, 2023, 06:03:27 PM
AMD is a great company. They are the best at what they do and It is making CPU's. The computer I am using right now and my laptop have both AMD CPU's and they perform great. It is just, when it comes to buying a GPU, I prefer Nvidia over an AMD any day. Even at the same price range, if the Nvidia one performs worse than the AMD one, I will still go with the Nvidia GPU and it is because it simply has better support for everything out there. Some damn video editing programs like davinci's resolve used to not work with the AMD brand GPU's. (they only fixed it recently a few months ago and it is still not complete) This was just one example and there are many like it.

When it comes to picking a GPU, the winner is clear: Nvidia.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: March 23, 2023, 11:09:40 AM
Easy win for the republicans. I don’t really care who their candidate will be but I know for sure Biden is not going to serve for another term. If Trump somehow becomes the rep candidate, I’ll make a bet for his victory. He owes me a great deal of coins from the last election. Cool I’ll let him make up for it. If he loses again, things will get ugly. I will get so angry I will smash something.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 23, 2023, 03:04:18 AM
Could be. However I don’t think any reputable casino needs these kinds of tricks to win our money. I think you were just unlucky. I know it because these big casinos are almost always use the same provable fair betting system where you can verify your seed/roll. If they were scamming us someone would have noticed it long time ago. The situation might be different on the newly established smaller online casinos though. Who knows what filth is hidden in their code…
1078  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 19, 2023, 09:24:19 AM
I'm confident that they must have deleted the logs, as they said.

That's too much confidence you are having in CM.

What happened to "Don't trust, verify." ?

How do you verify CM's promises? Did they let you in and show their database? I know that don't make sense because it is impossible to verify CM's actions. It is just a promise. Could be true, could be wrong.
