1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the eyes of Sam himself, he is so innocent on: December 01, 2022, 06:39:42 AM
He exactly knows what he is doing. He greased the right people with the money he stole from his customers and now he is getting rewarded for this.

This is what happens when the corruption spreads everywhere in a country and this is happening right in front of our eyes in the United States which is the world’s most developed country, where people have rights, where law matters, or so they say.

This incident alone is enough to make the US an African country where people kill each other to steal their stuff.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Unconventional Betting Strategy on: December 01, 2022, 05:44:53 AM
They say two good heads are better than one, I couldn't agree more. Here's a an unconventional betting strategy that me and my friends have come up with to bet on some of the world cup games. I totally love it because we have cashed out about $1000 since the games began. Also, it minimized the losses and everyone goes home happy.

The strategy -  We created one betting account with a local gambling site prior to the World Cup Games. We all contribute equal amount of money to fund the wallet. And using different analysis we place our bets on at least 3 of the world cup games every day.

For me it has a lot of advantages -

- it minimizes losses
- it reduces the chances of being addicted
- it helps to build bonding. We hang out. We watch the game and we have fun.
- We have a budget and we stick to it. It sorts of builds accountability.

Do you have a unconventional betting strategy that have been working for you? Do Share.

Your strategy is pretty simple. I am not even sure if I would call it a "strategy" though. You are basically saying we wager less so we lose less.

You can perfect this strategy if you don't play at all and still do the rest of the stuff with your mates. (drinking, talking, hanging around) It wouldn't just minimize your losses, you wouldn't lose anything at all.  Grin Also since you don't play, you also can't get addicted.  Grin But then watching the games wouldn't be as fun I imagine.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF Confirmed He Will Be Speaking at NY Times’ DealBook Summit on: November 30, 2022, 05:50:24 AM
Am I the only one that thinks there should be outrage? What do you guys think? Will it actually happen?
I don't know man....it's as if this guy has no shame in his body at all. It will most likely happen since the organizers seems okay with it.

It's probably best to ignore any news about his activities outside the bankruptcy or liquidation for now. Just follow the case and let the prosecution team do their thing. Let him enjoy while he can.

He seems like every other democrat to me.

We already know that MSM is a democrat party asset just like this clown. They are going to make a victim out of this fraud and tell everybody who lost money that they should forget about it. NYT also must have gotten some of those "donations" from SBF. In the end, they need to protect their investments.

They stole people's money and they are now making fun of them.

Hopefully everybody who lost money on this was a democrat party supporter. They deserve it.
1364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people withdraw their generosity during crisis? on: November 29, 2022, 07:16:42 AM
In life, we all battling with uncertain behaviour, that one will wonder why certain characters occur when one needs a helping hand most. we are facing some difficulties in our communities and families, and the people you think will assist you to sort things out seems to be the ones to disappoint you.its seems to me that person don't value life, they shows concerns only when people  are celebrating and withdraw when things goes wrong. Such life should be discourage in the society.  We should not only show up when things are working, we should always stand in good and bad time.

It is just common sense. When everybody has money, everybody is generous. In the US not so long ago (maybe it is still happening I don't know) people were outbidding each other to get the house they want. There were many houses that got sold for higher than its listing price. That was pretty fucked up. For example the seller lists the house for $500k and out of the blue someone comes and offers him $550k. Why? Because he has too much fucking money.

When the interest rates rise, the exact opposite happens. Now money is expensive. Expensive to borrow, expensive to spend. Everybody needs money but no one is willing to spend.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 04:13:52 AM
See how China did it…

Banning the exchanges from operating and mining would be enough to cripple crypto imo. Also jail anybody who sends money to a foreign exchange or withdraws from them.

Since most people can’t do these without having a legacy bank account, the government would easily catch the law breakers.
1366  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: November 27, 2022, 11:17:49 AM
Erik Voheres made his first bitcoin fortune by defrauding people millions through feedzebirds.
Roger Ver made his first substantial sums of BTC by importing MtGox to the USA and earning substantial fees in the process while the exchange was in fact running bankrupt. The only reason he avoided jail time was because he had anulled his citizenship, while his close partner Charlie Shrem did 2 years simply for running an exchange while on US soil!
Mircea Popescu (now reportedly dead) earned BTC that later became valuer millions in $ through misleading fees and trading junk securities on his own exchange.

Can you name more now millionaires that earned their wealth through scamming people out of their BTC? Ideally originating in this forum.

Roger did jail time. Just not for importing mtgox to the US. It was for selling exploits on ebay. (wtf?) The dude did smarten up after going to jail for the first time. He knew it wasn't going to be his first and the last. That's why he dumped his US passport.

Btw this is the first time I hear about Roger's mtgox story anyway. Even after all those years, he can still find a way to surprise me.

As for Erik Voorhees, everybody knows he is a jerk...

Let me make an addition to your list:

Barry Silbert. (another ponzi runner behind the shadows)
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF another New York Times speaker on: November 27, 2022, 05:21:00 AM
SBF is the second biggest democrat donor. NYT is a democrat media asset. They will whitewash SBF and picture him as a victim, not a criminal mastermind.

That’s how they deal with big democrat criminals. Where is the news about Hunter’s laptop? Non-existent.

If they send SBF to jail, I think that would  break the other democrat criminals’ confidence. They will think even though  they pay the dems them high fees/bribes, they can still go to jail.

That’s not a good businees for the dems. Dems have to protect their investments. That’s why SBF isn’t in jail and he don’t act like he is afraid at all.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: bookmakers on: November 26, 2022, 05:56:48 PM
You can bet on freebitco.in with any amount you want. As far as I know they won’t ever limit your bet amount because it is how designed their casino. To be more precise, when you bet on a team on freebitco.in, you are betting against other players. (Parimutuel betting) So the winrate/prize changes real time. It doesn’t matter if you bet 1 btc or 1000 btc. Everything gets calculated on the go so It don’t make sense to limit players bet size there.
1369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin losing its Value, What will happen to Public Funds on: November 26, 2022, 01:28:28 PM
All exchange coins are scam imo. It doesn’t matter if the issuer is binance or ftx. The idea is always the same. Ripping the exchange users off.

Why do they need these coins anyway? If it is a cheap solution they seek, There are hundreds of alts that are cheap. Doge and LTC are cheap and pretty safe.

The thing is, they need something they can control its supply which means they can pump and dump on you. They can’t do that with these old alts but they can manipulate you with these exchange tokens.
1370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 26, 2022, 01:07:56 PM
Add another dark blue to the bottom of the chart, problem solved.

The thing is, these charts never make any sense. Just because bitcoin is at the bottom of the chart don't mean it is cheap. It is all relative. Bitcoin never experienced a recession during its lifespan and the world will go through a big one in 2023. When everybody stops spending money, we may take a look back and say that $16k/btc was "expensive".
1371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: November 26, 2022, 07:21:43 AM
Nope. They aren't safe. Nobody in the right mind would see them "safe". First of all, we don't know if these tokens are backed by any real assets. Ideally they should back them with USD only but that ship has sailed long time ago. They say these tokens are backed by government bonds mostly and that itself is not bad. However, as we have seen with LUNA, FTX etc. these scammers back their assets with their own printed altcoins. So, the issuer of tether, very well be backing tether with other alts or even btc. But we use tether to buy btc and if btc uses tethers to back itself, I mean, that would be pretty fucked up.
1372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: November 26, 2022, 04:48:12 AM
Bankman-Fraud will get the Epstein treatment. Meaning, they will make him disappear and he is not going to spend a single day in a jail cell. When he has corrupted political friends like the Clintons, he can avoid any punishment. If the media tells you that he is in jail, that means he is in his home playing PS5. If they tell you he is dead, that means he has a new name, a new face (hopefully both his new name and face will be less stupid than his current ones) and he is in somewhere which you won’t ever know about.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: November 26, 2022, 04:41:28 AM
Doge was a very obvious choice from the start. It was a meme/joke coin, created by 4chan guys, everything about it was telling you that it was going to make you rich. Even if Elon hadn’t touched doge, it still had such a huge potential. Most people like me though, even though we sensed what’s going on, couldn’t believe that would actually happen. At some point doge almost reached $1 and few years ago it was like $0.0000xx. That’s 1000x and more.

I can’t see any other coin with such potential anymore tbh. Doge came and went and most people missed it too. Sadface.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchangers delisting but with too short notice on: November 25, 2022, 01:27:37 PM
For example binance delisting leverage up down tokens.
Many traders bought up coins by dca the dollar Cost average way so becouse market not stay that low forever.

Here is the problem.

You just don't DCA shitcoins. Shitcoins are only  good for short term speculation, hit and run, get rich (or poor) quick, pump and dump.

Even the exchanges don't have the stomach to list them for years, why would you DCA them? It was a fail strategy from the start.

Only DCA big coins like ETH and BTC.
1375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: November 25, 2022, 04:27:19 AM
No I don’t believe in it. Alts don’t deserve any worshippers imo. Litecoin is not an exception. It is usable in some occasions and I like ltc but I don’t know if it will exist 10 years later. It will probably be around but price wise, it won’t make a huge moonshot. That’s because ltc’s biggest holder dumped his coins long time ago. Imagine if satoshi came back to life and dumped a million btc on us… that’s what happened with ltc.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 24, 2022, 04:46:36 AM
Of course it is a good step in the long run. Thinking otherwise don't even make sense. The long the scam runs, the bigger it gets and then more people will get harmed. These scams/ponzi schemes will always go down eventually. Ideally they shouldn't exist in the first place but we don't live in an ideal world so there will always be another ponzi scheme in line and they will go down too.

The worst part is, no matter how protected you think you are, these scam exchanges affect you too if you own any crypto whether in a cold wallet or on some other exchange.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 22, 2022, 03:52:28 PM

this right here is the reason why I kept saying on this thread why an investigation should be done about this bribery rumor that has been spread to the public. then I realized that even if FIFA didn't find anything, doubts would still be there.

FIFA won't ever find anything because they are getting the biggest piece from the bribe pie.

Qatar spent ~$220 billion for this world cup.

Have you ever thought, how a country like Qatar, which is against every western value, has no football stadium, has a complete shit football team, hosting a world cup?

Did you think FIFA let them be the host for free?

How many billions did the FIFA got from Qatar as a bribe?
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 22, 2022, 01:00:48 PM
I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

Your mistake was betting on the Qatar World Cup. Haven't you seen the news Qatar bribing Ecuador?

Reports: Qatar Bribed Eight Ecuadorian Players $7.4 Million to Lose World Cup Opener

What makes you think that Argentina haven't sold the game to the rich Saudis? That's a very good possibility.

Saudis have lots of money and Argentina is dirt poor. Since the tournament is already a very dirty and corrupted one to begin with, we might see more surprises like this.

You know what is going to be more surprising? Saudis or Qataris winning the world cup.

Total shit show.
1379  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Ukraine win the war with NATO's covert assistance? on: November 22, 2022, 09:11:34 AM
-cut-
All Ukraine had to do was getting along well with Putin but he had that crazy idea of winning a war against Russia. Zelensky the NATO plant is delusional and ruined Ukraine completely.
Wow, by your logic everyone just has to do as Russia tells them or get ready to be invaded? Or get invaded even if you do?
Well now Putin played Finland And Sweden to NATO too which seemed impossible just before the invasion and most Finnish people were always against that. Before the war happened.

Issue with Russia would be that if they succeeded invading Ukraine, it wouldn't stop there. Putin has been pretty clear that what comes to borders, he want's to fix the mistakes of Lenin, and Finland is one of them.

Yes that’s how my logic works.

This exact thing happened when the US invaded Iraq and Syria.

This is how this game works. Big fish eats little fish. Wake up snowflake.

Hopefully Finland and Sweden ain’t dumb enough to join Nato.
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lay off vs Pay cut on: November 22, 2022, 04:39:58 AM
Let's suppose your boss called you into his/her office and explained the company's situation. He/she then gives you the option of getting laid off or taking a 50% pay cut. If you were to choose one of these options, what would it be and why?

Wow this is a very tough call. Ideally you should get laid off and look for another job but since everybody is losing their jobs in a such environment, a 50% pay cut don't look really bad. This is how the beginning of a recession looks like. Either with no job or a 50% paying job, people will have to spend less and less. That's what the high interest rates do to the economy and you know what? It should have happened long time ago. The FED was too late to act and even believed their own "inflation is transitory" bullshit.
