1401  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX Finally Files For Bankruptcy After Binance Refused Bailout on: November 12, 2022, 10:11:07 AM

 Grin

This one made me giggle for like 10 seconds.

Back to the serious mode: I am sorry for those who lost money. But FTX.com? C'mon man. It was screaming "S C A M" right from the beginning. How teh fuck did it become that famous in the first place I don't even understand.

But then, back in the day btc-e was legit in my eyes and they went down too. So there isn't a secure exchange in this space imo. Any exchange can go down.
1402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the cryptospace is threatened by this legislation backed by Sam on: November 12, 2022, 09:09:07 AM
Barbara… where the fuck your head was when you name your kid “Bankman” ? Fried is OK somehow. There are many decent “Friedman”s out there too. But what the fuck is a “Bankman” for fucks sake?

What’s next? Will Bankman name his son “Bankster”? That’s not a more ridiculous sounding name than “Bankman” btw. I would say they are equals in their respective ridiculousness levels.

And this bitch is a Dem lawyering Hillary. Lmao. And his moron son bribed the dems with the money he stole from the depositors.

Wow. Just wow.

Since Bidens can get away with it after everything we have seen (Hunter’s laptop), I would say SBF would give everyone his finger and enjoy his billionaire life in somewhere without getting a punishment.
1403  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FTX Scam : Unable to withdraw on: November 12, 2022, 05:24:02 AM
Sigh... People will never learn...

"Not your keys, not your coins."

No matter if it is the biggest or the second biggest crypto exchange in the world, any exchange can go bankrupt, do stupid things (like bribing the democrats) or get hacked. If you hold your keys, nobody can do that with your funds.

The funny thing is, there will always be lots of people who will trust these exchanges and their actions will affect everybody.
1404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost 270 dollar in roullete plan on revenge on: November 12, 2022, 04:53:02 AM
Today i was in colombia lost 1.4 million pesos
Even lucky people like me got it wrong sometime

I plan to revenge and withdrawed 1000 usd from my bank to make big bets and beat them.

When i cane back they  closesd he casino they lucky to close before i play again i had all my adrelaine and mood to win and bankrupt them.
Tomorrow i visit them again and take what is mine.

Btw i recover most  on the funds with bc.game today but i want revenge on this casino phyisical casino.

This is not a movie wake the fuck up. You will only give them more money if you return to the casino and play more. You can't send a casino to bankruptcy unless you hack them. That's mathematically not possible because the games are designed that way.

Just take this as a $270 life lesson and don't do any more stupid things. Or... Keep going and lose that $1000. What then? You will come up with a bigger number and lose that too?
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: War of exchanges on: November 11, 2022, 06:07:33 PM
This is no good for crypto.

If my father ever taught me something, it is this:

"A pint of blood costs more than a gallon of gold."

Wars have no winners. Only losers.

Exchanges and their greedy CEO's are ruining crypto. We can't let that happen.

Maybe this is our chance to smarten up and give a chance to the decentralized exchanges.
1406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 11, 2022, 11:40:16 AM
Menh it is no easy to be a gambler. Well that the life
"NO RISK NO GAIN"

recently I placed a bet on different soccer games and I  staked it with about $70 on accumulated odd of 10.36 which came out a total of $725.

After placing my bet I later check back on the games in my account to monitor the success of my predictions and I opened the betslip and I  was given a  cash out of about $389 and the matches remaining was just one game  so I decided not to take the it...i decided to be a  brave gambler and wait for the last game to be concluded and then collect the full money

But the last  game didn't turn out the way I wanted it and I lost that $389

I have faced similar situation before and most times I often collect the cash that comes as a  cash out then the result of the Last match turns out correct and instead of having the whole money I miss out and get a  little chunk of it..

So what would you would advise as a gambler? is it better to collect the cash out or wait for the full cash

If you keep playing you will lose more money. You know that, I know that, everybody knows it. Take the money and run. I know, you will think "what if I can win more? What if I am leaving the money on the table? What if I get lucky in the next round?"

Well, stop with this non-sense. Don't think about it. You had a good run, you made money. You already lost more than half of it. Let me tell you a good "what if", what if you lose what's left of your account balance? Does it sound good? Nope.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: None active projects on social media on: November 11, 2022, 10:06:10 AM
Good day everyone, I want to keep this question short and simple.

If a project is not active enough on their social media account like Twitter is this a red flag or a reason not to invest in the project.

Depends.

Not all projects use the social media actively but no matter how good the project is, if the management/devs can't spread the word out then it is no good for the investors. So, eventually the project will need to promote their project on the social media, hire shills, do giveaways, create sig camps etc. If they don't do that, the project will die off. There are so many good ideas wasted away like this. Even bitcoin wasn't so popular during its first years.
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is "Solana" Will be the Next to get Killed.. on: November 10, 2022, 04:55:38 AM
That would be good tbh. I never understood what do solana, matic, cardano, xrp, polka, polygon, avax etc. do... They all need to disappear. They had their shot after moving off of ETH and now it is clearly visible that they don't do shit. If they don't do anything, why do they deserve them multi billion dollar marketcaps? These shitcoins' market caps are bigger than many companies with real employees.

Good riddance.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can roullete be rigged? on: November 09, 2022, 02:48:35 PM
I talk on live roullete in physical casino can it be rigged?

Of course. Almost any casino game can be rigged and roulette isn’t an exception. But casinos don’t really need to cheat on their games because the math is already on their side and it is the only friend they need. Cheating on their own games would damage their reputation very badly and they will lose whatever player base they got very quickly. Why risk it when they already make money without cheating? If a casino cheats, people will notice that eventually.
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will win, FTX or BINANCE? on: November 08, 2022, 06:43:18 PM
I don’t know who will win, but I just feel like if the CEO of the biggest crypto exchange fudds about competitors, we all gonna loose.

Looks like CZ won at first but now seeing how the markets are reacting, maybe there won't be any winners at all. FTT is right now imploding and taking down every other crypto currency with it. BTC is below $19k at the moment. Even BNB is going down.

Bankrupting a big exchange like FTX won't create any winners. We will all lose. At least in the short run.

In the long run, it will be fine.
1411  Economy / Economics / Re: Consumers to Spend More on Black Friday Despite Economic Downturn on: November 08, 2022, 06:40:43 PM
In one of my posts, I wrote about how a new survey reported that, three-quarters(76%) of U.S. adults are delaying big purchases and reducing debts since they are worried about an impending economic downturn. Despite this consumers will spend more on Black Friday this year. According to a new survey of 3,006 shoppers by Emarsys revealed that one in five (21%) U.S. consumers will do most of their holiday shopping on Black Friday — with over a third (35%) increasing their spend from 2021. Isn't this surprising? Why is this so? The reason is because consumers are spending more discerningly to maximize the value they get for their spending. In short, value is the topmost thing on the minds of the consumers. Interesting findings, isn't it? Lemme know what you think? Are you spending more or less on Black Friday deals?

Why not? Everything becomes a lot cheaper on black Friday, you just can't ignore it. When you see a 50% discount, even if you have money, you just borrow it from somewhere else and buy that thing anyway. Impossible to ignore these opportunities.

Black Friday is where the merchants make the most sales. I always renew my hosting packages and domains during that time of the year and profiting almost by 50%. Buy whatever you can, you are not losing money, you are making money by buying stuff.
1412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: November 08, 2022, 08:05:07 AM
Hi all - so I have been playing at smaller crypto casino for a few years now. They have a TRX site and a USDT site. I have always played at the TRX site and have always had no issues with withdrawals etc. (Largest was around $26K USD)

I've started playing the USDT side recently and a week ago won $128K USD playing a few different Habanero and CQ9 games. I am waiting just over a week now with the casino telling me they are waiting for a verification report from the game provider and then they'll release my funds.

Not gonna lie I am getting worried and wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience or may have some insight. Thanks in advance!!

That's a pretty big win. You are right to worry about your position.

The casino will probably want to learn every detail about you, your account history, where you get the money, which game you wagered on etc etc.  If the casino isn't a small fish, they won't make it hard for you but if paying you -especially as big as this amount- can send the casino to bankruptcy, then things will get messy for everybody. Hopefully everything will go smooth for everyone.
1413  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 07, 2022, 04:18:10 AM
In a world we live in today, especially where everyone is an instagram addict, having a good look matters a lot.

Employers tend to hire good looking but less capable people instead of capable but shit looking.

That’s simply how the world works.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 06, 2022, 04:33:58 AM

I suggest you to wait a bit more before buying a house right away.

You know you won't keep waiting for the economy to get better before you start building a house if you have the money. Taking into cognizance that inflation keep increasing yearly because the cost of building materials now will not be same in next five years. At least the present economic situation has proved this that past inflation and costs are lower than what they are now. A stitch in time saves nine as it is a popular saying.

The costs will rise but the buyers will also run out of money because food, water and other daily crap will also get more expensive.

When people run out of money, no matter what the cost of building a house is, the existing house prices will drop.

Obviously, it makes a huge difference if the prices drop by 50% after going up by 300%. That’s where I am not sure what’s going to happen because I don’t know when will people run out of money.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have your winnings lured someone into gambling ? on: November 05, 2022, 08:34:48 PM
As a gambler we see winning big as success is gambling, do you share and celebrate your winning story with friends ?

Have your winning story or celebration lured someone you know into gambling because he wants to win big like you

                                 OR

Have you ever taught or predicted a game for someone which turn out to be a win,how big was it ?

No, that didn't happen. That's because I don't wager big amounts or play too often. I however, lured people into crypto investing after I showed my returns to my friends. I know it is not the same thing because one is investing and the other is gambling but my point is, people really give attention when they see the big gains of someone else. That' s exactly how the ad business works.

You see a beautiful girl or a handsome man doing/wearing something on TV and it makes you to do the same thing or buy the same clothes. Your sub-conscious affects you and makes you think that you will be like that man (or woman) if you buy the same product he/she is advertising.
1416  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptocurrency Casinos Are Ruling The Signature Campaign Here In Bitcointalk on: November 05, 2022, 03:48:28 PM
It is only natural because gambling is one of the best and most preferred use cases of the crypto currencies. I think there are many more people that use crypto for gambling than for buying stuff or transferring wealth.

And It is not a bad thing or a fault of the crypto. People simply love gambling. If there was another choice, people would use that too. Right now nothing beats crypto when it comes to gambling. It is fast, almost anonymous and reliable.
1417  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency financial pyramids on: November 05, 2022, 12:32:32 PM
Sadly, crypto made scamming it a lot easier for the scammers. There are lots of scams in my country too but they are losing popularity lately. A couple years ago there were a lot more local shitcoin projects looking for "funding" or "angel investors".  It is quite calm now thanks the gods. This is probably because crypto took a big hit in the prices since last year. When the prices go bull again we will start seeing them scammy projects again unfortunately.
1418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: November 05, 2022, 05:45:57 AM
Easy to solve.

If you are going to leave the platform for a long period of time, withdraw everything.

The casinos I use never did something like you mentioned though. I left a few bucks there and years later it was still there un touched.

Different casinos might deal with this situation differently. Still, better be safe than be sorry.
1419  Economy / Economics / Re: LMAO: Santander UK bank puts limits to buy bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. on: November 05, 2022, 04:36:13 AM
They are mad man. They are mad because we are driving cars and flying jets. If everyone leaves legacy banking and move to crypto then these banksters will lose their jobs. That’s another reason why they are mad at us. UK is pretty friendly against crypto anyway. Santander is a Spanish bank and everybody that read the history knows how the Spanish empire ruined itself when they decided to mess up with people’s money before.

I don’t trust banks mostly but I am damn sure that I don’t trust any Spanish banks.
1420  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 04, 2022, 03:45:06 AM
Halloween is now over. Perhaps some of you participated in tournaments from iGaming providers. Black Friday is next on the list.
As it is no longer associated solely with marketing campaigns of offline and online retailers, bookmakers and casinos actively support the November fever too.
They offer players FS from providers and various promo activities  from the platforms themselves.
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

Of course I do. Black Friday is the best period of the year for us shopping addicts. I renew my hosting deals/domains always in November. Every merchant, every business owner come up with great deals during this month. Casinos won’t be any different is this regard. At least most of them. The ones who don’t participate in these events will be the losers imo.
