1461  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback VS Bonus on: October 17, 2022, 06:02:17 PM
Hey guys. Apart from winning let's talk about loosing  Wink
We all have bad days...
So the question is...if you loose many times in a row, what would you like at most - a cashback from what you've just lost or a bonus to go on?

Aren't they essentially the same thing? Why does it matter what you call it? Cashback or bonus, both mean "promotion" given to you by the casino so you can play a bit longer. You won't be able to withdraw that money (bonus or cashback) you already know that much. It will be there to make you play more and the more you play the more you will want to play. That's how gambling addiction works. The casino owners know this and they exploit this feeling pretty successfully. There is no free lunch.
1462  Economy / Economics / Re: Meta has burned $15 billion trying to build the metaverse on: October 16, 2022, 05:41:22 AM
I always thought that Metaverse is a stupid idea, it can only succeed when VR is massively popular, which it is not right now. Zuck is trying to put a cart before the horse.

That's called "timing the markets"

Like you said VR might get popular in the future even though I don't see that happening but the time is definitely not now.

The thing is Zuck ran out of creativity. He bought Instagram and Whatsapp and these were his last good moves with FB. Actually it is whatsapp and instagram keeping the whole thing alive. FB itself is a damn cemetery. Yes some people use it but it is far from its former glory especially now they are censoring and banning people left and right just because they used some curse words. Wtf is this place? Even your local high school has more freedom than facebook.
1463  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation in Germany hits double digits for the first time since WWII on: October 16, 2022, 05:35:34 AM
Putin already offered the Europeans that Nord Stream 2 can be used to transport gas from Russia to the EU. And as usual, the EU rejected this proposal due to political considerations. In a way, the Europeans deserve whatever coming to their way. They have constantly voted for warmonger parties such as Greens, who are all in for NATO intervention in Ukraine. On top of that, the Greens are the ones who forced German government to close down a vast majority of the nuclear power plants. If they continue to vote for the Greens, let them spend the winter without heating.

For all our sakes, I hope the war will end sooner rather than later, but it doesn't look like it will. As for EU sanctions against Russia, as I have already said in another thread, I find them pathetic, some even call them 'boomerang sanctions' because you end up the same or worse than the sanctioned country.

I am concerned to some extent about the environment but I also find pathetic the so called green policies that are taken in Europe, being less than 10% of the world's population, and that, between one thing and another, have led to consequences such as this high inflation, mainly due to energy prices.

Sanctions work both ways.

When country A sanctions country B, country A effectively sanctions itself especially if country B has something country A desperately needs.

That's exactly the situation here. What does Russia need from Europe? Nothing. Russia only wants to sell their oil and to them, it don't matter who the buyer is.

I just heard that Putin wants to make Turkiye the gas hub of Europe.

Everything became crystal clear now.

The Europe will still buy the Russian gas. Not from Russia directly but from Turkiye... for a higher price.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Inflation and why bitcoin? on: October 16, 2022, 05:28:15 AM
Anything but the dollar...

Bitcoin is fine but it wouldn't be my first choice to protect myself against the inflation. I would rather buy durable goods which you can store for a long time like toilet and copy printer paper, paper towels, dry food, canned foods, some water, home repairing stuff (drills, screwdrivers)  or any kind of repairing stuff, back ups for your current electronic devices in use (computer parts, cameras etc), household appliances (if you have an old device, it might be wise to have a back up)

These stuff I mentioned above are the things which you most likely will need in the future.

Gold, silver, crypto you probably won't need these in your daily life. Some people will need them yes, but not you.
1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is key differences between Bitcoin and tulip bubble on: October 16, 2022, 04:14:52 AM
The main difference is; Tulips are inflationary. You can plant and create as many tulips as you like. Bitcoin on the other hand is deflationary. Bitcoin’s supply is limited to 21 million units and every day some of those units get lost. There are probably not more than 16 million bitcoins available nowadays. You can’t plant bitcoin on the ground like you do with tulips.

Tulips look cool though. I can’t ignore their beauty.
1466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 15, 2022, 08:53:56 PM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  Cheesy

I usually stop when I lose money. It is much easier to stop when you are losing. If I was winning, it is almost impossible to stop because the greed takes over and makes me play more and more. Like you, of course I end up losing all my winnings. That's because these games have an house edge and in the long run you will always lose. Everybody forgets this fact when they win some money... they think they will keep winning forever but we know that it is impossible.
1467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ballon d'Or discussion and odds on: October 15, 2022, 12:47:17 PM
did not want to create a new thread and therefore i now BTCump this one
soon the annual award of the ballon d'or trophy is coming up again and according to transfermarkt there are 3 favorites to win the golden ball. personally i would wish it to Robert Lewandowski very much ... he was so close to winning it the last two years and this year it should finally be that way

Haaland should win it. He is a damn monster. Even if he don't win the prize this year, few years later maybe he will be winning it every year like CR/Messi.

He played 218 games and scored 176 goals according to google and he is only 22 years old. More to it, he is a weight of 88 kilograms and height of 1.94 meters. How the fuck he can do that... and with that body?

The dude looks like he was artificially manufactured in a laboratory.
1468  Economy / Services / Re: [HOLD] Playbetr Signature Campaign | Hero/Legendary | $60/Week in BTC on: October 15, 2022, 12:28:50 PM
Avatar and signature changed to betcoin. Thanks for this awesome 177 week long campaign. As far as I remember only 1 week I missed my post count and other than that I completely followed the campaign from its first week to the last. Hopefully the same fun will continue with betcoin.
1469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC anonymity on: October 15, 2022, 11:01:50 AM
There are people that use Bitcoin mixer to cover the origin of there Bitcoins with a veil.

I will never make this, because this would make my BTC suspect. And there is a risk to make my BTC's dirty.

But here is my technical question:
When we change our BTC into another crypto and after change them back into BTC, I guess in this case it would no more be possible to trace back the origin of the  origin BTC.
Am I right? Or do I miss anything?
Of course if we make the change on a CEX, it would be possible to trace back the origin, because the CEX will have a history-protocol. But I guess not, when we make this via DEX.

If I am right: Why do people use BTC mixer? Isn't changing BTC into another crypto and change them back, not the much better solution to cut off the trace?

Would appreciate a competent answer. Thank you.

Then it would depend on the DeX you're using. DEX's are not always anonymous as well. If the DeX operates on a .com domain, your ISP still can track your activity and then you won't really be anonymous. Also the DeX you are using might collect/log your data without letting you know.

When you are on the internet it is pretty damn hard to stay anonymous. If you do some shady shit and the government decides to learn who you are, they will succeed it I can guarantee that.
1470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Analysis Today on: October 15, 2022, 07:36:04 AM
ALTCOINS JUST BOTTOMED AND SHIB COIN TO THE MOON?Huh!!!!!!!!!!! + Crypto Market Analysis Today

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIHMob5RI-A

That's the best crypto analysis I have ever read probably. It is straight to the point and not boring us with meaningless bullshit. "Alts bottomed out and shib to the moon" Everything a pro trader needs to know is packed in this sentence. First of all, it lets us know that the alts have bottomed out. Which means, almost any alt you get now will make you money. Second of all, he is informing us the best alt of all alts, shibcoin, and how it is going to moon. Hedge fund managers should hire this guy. He knows his shit.
1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC NOT BACKED BY ECO SYSTEM on: October 15, 2022, 07:26:18 AM
Today One Of My Friends Argued With Btc. Btc Is Not Backed By Any Asset Or Business. So Btc Is Only For Speculation Purposes.

Eth And Other Major Alts Have Asset Backing And Real Use Cases. For Example - For Eth; Smart Contracts Can Be Used In Contractual Deals.
Specially Alts Have Eco System. Btc Does Not Have.

I Stuck Because I Don't Know A Counter Answer To This. Please Explain How To Counter Attack This.

What asset backing ETH does have exactly? ETH and BTC are both not backed by any other asset. ETH has a real life use indeed but so does Bitcoin. People send and receive btc every day. They sell stuff, purchase stuff. That's the main use case of bitcoin. ETH on the other hand is providing housing for other projects mostly. People don't usually use ETH as a payment method.

You don't have to counter your friend's arguments anyway. He is not going to change his mind just because you successfully defended your arguments. People will believe what they want to believe.
1472  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation in Germany hits double digits for the first time since WWII on: October 15, 2022, 04:49:53 AM
strategic resource and not every country has it, so even if the politicians leading a country were very diligent on their jobs and they kept a reserve in the case the price skyrocketed, such a reserve is not infinite and at some point it will run out, and then they will have to buy at the new and inflated price, bringing high inflation to their country despite their best efforts to avoid this.
Now that the gas delivery to Germany through the Baltic Sea's Nords stream pipeline is halted and which this winter arriving - Germans will be more in trouble.
Let see how they overcome this gas and oil crisis in winter

I read somewhere that they have "some" gas but it won't be enough for both their industry and to heat up their citizens. So they will have to make a choice. Either their industry will have to stop or their citizens will have to catch cold. I think I know what they are going to choose and it is not the citizens. It make sense tbh. Most people will probably survive (some old folks probably will not) the cold but if the German industry stops, then everybody will get much poorer and more people will suffer.
1473  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 14, 2022, 02:37:06 PM
Hey guys!
Some of us are occupied in i-Gaming industry, some are just players...but apart from leisure&profession there are still old good offline casinos all around the world.
Today Im thinking if visiting an offline casino is out of date or still a good place to visit while travelling?
Do you visit casinos when you travel? How often? Which ones?
Let's remember of old good times Cheesy

I do. I always like to spend time in the local casinos when I visit a foreign country. Real life casinos never fail to entertain people. Free drinks, good looking girls, what else a man can expect? Play a few rounds and enjoy your time. When you get bored of visiting history museums and coffee shops, casinos will keep you entertained, at least for a while till you get bored again.  Cool As long as you are careful with how much you play, you will be fine. Otherwise, you will be sorry. I can even say I like physical casinos more than online casinos.
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh has blocked 331 online casinos on: October 14, 2022, 04:54:46 AM
People in Bangladesh are super poor. Think about the poorest guy you saw in your neighborhood and multiply his poorness level with 100. That’s how poor the people in Bangladesh.

Losing their life savings to the online casinos is probably the past thing these people need. I can’t say they are well educated too. Being poor and stupid is a very dangerous combination for a gambler. The poorest country in the world don’t need to gamble.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 14, 2022, 02:24:34 AM
There is no ceiling for bitcoin’s price. Sky is the limit. Bitcoin may go above $100k or a million or even higher. It is because, it is not bitcoin going up. It is the dollar going down against bitcoin. Bitcoin is fundamentally the strongest the hardest money ever existed. The dollar has no chance against bitcoin in the long term. Don’t get confused just because jpow feeding the dollar with hard-on pills now. The dollar is dead.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPI and Inflation rate discussion on: October 14, 2022, 02:19:13 AM
What does the Increased in CPI number means for crypto future? It seems the number will keep going up and up, I thought 17,500$ is the bottom but it seems the pain is just getting started, what's your take on this? Inflation rate is now way up to range of that of 1982, do you think 10k BTC is certain at this point?

Rising CPI means more interest rate hikes and more rate hikes mean expensive dollar… The money mode expensive the dollar gets, the cheaper everything else will get. Crypto too. I don’t know if $10k btc will happen but is not impossible I would say. It may go even lower than $10k if certain things happen. You should be prepared for the worse imo, mentally and financially.
1477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you considering time span? on: October 12, 2022, 06:05:42 PM
Let's say we already have everything when we open a trade, we already have a stop loss order, target price order or initial take profit price order, etc.

My question is do you consider closing your trade if those orders didn't trigger for some time?

Because for example, the trade you opened becomes sideways or stable, and no pumps or dumps happened that triggered your orders, so for some time, your trade is still open.

So, do you have a limit for your trades? Like 1 day, week, etc? If nothing happens, are you closing those trades manually?

Obviously, everybody is dead on a long enough time line.

Nobody can afford to wait forever.

If you are waiting for a certain price and you are cool with waiting more than a year, then it don't make much sense to keep your coins on an exchange. You can certainly keep your coins in your cold wallet and wait there for your price target, send coins and execute.

Keeping coins on the exchange for long periods of time has its own risks. I don't recommend it.
1478  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 12, 2022, 04:52:34 AM
Hey guys.
Choosing crypto in casinos has always also to do with more anonimous gambling.
Anyway I'm curious how important is anonimity to you when you pay & play?

Crypto itself is already semi anonymous, unless you play on a full KYC casino and they demand it from you, you are already pretty anonymous to begin with. I don't need to take any extra precautions for this because I don't play at casinos that would demand KYC from me and I don't keep my coins on a crypto exchange which makes me pretty anonymous when I gamble. I don't really care much about it though, it is something I do automatically when I deal with crypto. It is like a second nature to me.
1479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 11, 2022, 08:37:19 PM
People should stop expecting any good news from this troll. Anything he says could be a lie or a trap to rip you off. Crypto is not regulated, Elon very well knows it and he will use it. He won't hesitate to steal everything you got from you as he did with the shitcoins.

Bitcoin don't need to reach $100k to stay relevant anyway. Bitcoin still would be just fine even if the price don't move for the next 10 years. The fundamentals will still be there, same and unchanged.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about CBDCs? on: October 10, 2022, 07:06:07 PM
They are definitely not crypto currencies. Not even related. They will be centralized and won't be much different than the current FIAT we are using. The only and the most important difference will be that they won't have any physical notes and that's not a good thing actually. It is just another move backwards.

CBDC's are not here to help us. They are here to track down your actions, further.

Crypto supporter or not, everybody should oppose CBDC's which are against the interests of everybody imo.
