Would theymos have to comply if the goverment steps in and asks for IPs of all who wore a chipmixer signature?

Theymos will give everybody's IP's on a platter.  Grin Nobody else is more precious than my own skin. That's a common algorithm for the humans. It is called selfishness. Me first everybody else later. Theymos will also act according to this code especially when they make him face a jail sentence. He will chicken out and I don't blame him. I would do the same thing.
1102  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 16, 2023, 10:50:00 AM
I wonder how many people used that service, 7 TB of data, lol it looks like they logged everything.

It would be stupid If they didn't. I mean they knew that a payback day would eventually come. How are they going to pay back? By selling out those who used their services. D'uh.

That should be a lesson learned for everybody. Everything you do on the internet gets logged. Everything. If someone says otherwise, he is lying.
1103  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 16, 2023, 09:58:02 AM
Yeah. I am not buying that story neither. One would be incredibly stupid to believe that a man from Chi- I mean Vietnam was behind the whole operation. Whoever was running the operation probably made him and his family incredibly rich so they could use his name on the papers. Everything was good as long as no FEDs were involved but when they do... he is going to pay for the wealth he acquired by serving jail time. A fair trade I would say. Balanced. Like everything in the universe. Action > Reaction. Cause and Effect.
1104  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is ChipMixer a probable HoneyPot? on: March 16, 2023, 07:56:25 AM

Just like Bitmixer.io->Bestmixer.io->Chipmixer.io

There won't be a second bitmixer never ever never again. I wish there would but... I know it is not going to happen. It was like a very good dream when it was happening. You know how good dreams end. They end way too fast. Just like directbet.eu.

There are people out there that can't stand other people having good things so they have the urge to destroy anything beautiful.

Bitmixer was beautiful. Directbet.eu was beautiful. btc-e was beautiful. Now they are all dead.

DEAD

DEAD

DEAD
1105  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 16, 2023, 05:12:39 AM
Now I understand why bitmixer.io chickened out and left this business years ago. If you never have heard of it, bitmixer.io had the best automated signature campaign of this forum running till they decided that they don’t want to live behind the bars because they exactly knew how risky it was to mix “clean” coins with “dirty” coins. It wasn’t worth it. If you read bitmixer.io’s last posts, they said just that. The account is still around and reading the forum btw. He must be thinking… “I shorted this business right in time. Phew.”
1106  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism vs AI Posting on: March 16, 2023, 05:02:52 AM
Most topics in the forum are pretty lame anyway. You don't need the AI's opinion on those. When you are about to make a post on a serious matter, you can ask chatGPT's opinion, understand it and then repost it with your own sentences. Nobody will really notice that they are talking to an AI bot. But I think you don't need to take this forum that seriously. There isn't anything to gain. Even if you come up with the most sensible answers to the most serious questions, nobody will care.

Right now people are using chatgpt to make posts without being smart. They ask a question and copy/paste the answer without making any modifications to it. That's because people who use chatGPT to make posts don't know much of a Engrish in the first place.

It is like giving a monkey a machine gun. A soldier can use a machine gun effectively and kill lots of enemies but in the hands of a monkey you don't know who is going to be the next target because the monkey has no brains to use the gun effectively. He will just randomly press any buttons he can, shoot anything he can, sometimes himself too  Grin... No aim needed.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH ridiculous fees on: March 16, 2023, 02:22:45 AM

WTF !?! How is this even possible ? And I swear Nework Fees were $420 at one point...

It is the end game for every blockchain unless they use big blocks and become centralized… bitcoin suffers from the same problem too. The solution for you is using an alternative. Sad but true. If you don’t want to pay them high fees, move to the competitor of ethereum. You can also wait for the things to calm down. The financial markets are boiling right now and people want to cash out their assets left and tight. In these situations the fees always go up. If you are not in a hurry wait a few weeks and then enjoy them low fees again.
1108  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 15, 2023, 05:40:37 PM
Holy shit this is pretty serious. It is mindblowing to read a gov paper mentioning btt.

Quote
As explained further below, NGUYEN used the moniker “ChipMixer” on the
popular bitcoin message board BitcoinTalk
(available at bitcointalk.org). On May 18, 2017

Quote
On June 15, 2017, NGUYEN responded to a BitcoinTalk post criticizing
money laundering laws and know-your-customer requirements, stating,

If your money is in a bank, it’s like bitcoin on exchange - you don’t have private
keys. It can be frozen, it can be traced, it can be watched very carefully.

If you have cash, you can do whatever you want. Nobody can invalidate it.
Nobody can track it. Except police that can take it from you.

Bitcoins are better. Nobody knows you have it (unless you use KYC exchange),
you can exchange it for cash wherever you want.

He must have hit a nerve with that post. Gov people lost their shit it seems.  How dare you promote bitcoin as an alternative to the USD? and you say it is even better?

I guess they log everything we say in this forum. Shiet. Cheesy

To answer your question... I think it is a decision for the admins. If they think advertising mixers would be dangerous for the forum people, then they should ban it. I don't think there is such danger, yet.
1109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have failed too severely, time to give up? on: March 12, 2023, 02:32:39 PM
Give up on what? Promoting bitcoin? Since you are doing it voluntarily, it is up to you. Nobody will blame you if you do that. We all have our own problems in life and sometimes we just don’t have enough time and energy to go after the other things. Priorities basically. Just do what you want to do, do what makes you happy. You didn’t sign any papers when you started your journey did you? Then why would you or anybody else care about what you do? (Or don’t do for that matter)
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 01:01:24 PM
If you observe what’s really happening there you would see that there is a gang and the gang members act like random players. They come and win huge prizes occasionally because it is all a fucking act. Then some real person sees that and thinks “if this dumb fuck can win this I can too!” Of course it never happens because they make the game harder immediately when you decide to play.

I wouldn’t even get too close to them. Someone may just steal something from you. It is way too dangerous.

1111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: March 12, 2023, 12:49:49 PM
It might have. I mean if  a certain routine makes you feel better, it would force you to make good decisions. If you somehow missed your routine, then you won’t feel so good and when a person is upset about something (in this case it is your daily routine), he/she tends to make shitty decisions. It is all human psychology.

However missing your daily routine is not the only thing that would make you upset. It could be anything. Maybe you had an argument with you wife yesterday and you are still angry at her. That could affect your mood and decisions in a bad way as well.

When you sit in front of the PC and start trading you should be able forget all that. If you can’t trade when you miss your daily routine, then you shouldn’t make any trades that day. Simple as that. First prepare yourself mentally, then make trades.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DAI and USDC depegged! on: March 12, 2023, 04:05:52 AM
-cut-
I don’t know what’s happening on DAI but best guess is something bad going on MakerDao. Invest safe! Avoid stablecoins for now!
When you say avoid stablecoins, do you mean all the stablecoins and what is the alternative? Totally cashing out? Because if tether fails, every crypto fails with it. Right now those two stablecoins are slightly unpegged but every crypto out there is affected way more then dai or usdc so i don't see other cryptos as a good stablecoin alternative. USDT should hold, i am 99% sure of it.

Stable coins weren't always here. There used to be a time where people were only able to trade their crypto against the USD. (I mean the hard USD) Stable coins like Tether happened because the banks stopped doing business with Bitfinex. The main problem lies there.

Banks don't want to do any business with the crypto exhanges. Why do they do that? We need to fix this first.

Bitfinex couldn't fix it so they created an alternative to the USD, USDT.

Now everyone is doing the same thing and it is creating more problems than what it was supposed to fix. The space got bigger than it supposed to,  thanks to the tethers and the other stable coins because the issuers don't give a damn. They create more tokens at will whenever a systemic risk occurs. An exchange is losing liquidity? Is it going bankrupt? Quick, print more! More more more, it is never enough to feed the best completely. Once you begin the printing game there is no end to it.

The FED knows this the best and Bitfinex is just like FED except for one thing. The FED can print USD legally. Bitfinex cannot.

Even if they somehow manage to re-peg the USDC/USD pair, that is not going to fix the core problem of this business model.

Long story short, a correction in crypto is long overdue. Too many scammers around and they need to go away.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Biden budget proposes 30% tax on crypto mining electricity usage on: March 11, 2023, 11:51:52 AM
And this clown was supposed to be a crypto friendly president unlike Trump.  Cool Trump never liked crypto and he expressed his opinions very clearly but he never tried to rob us like that. This is a direct move to eliminate crypto mining. Who in the right mind would mine crypto in the US now? China banned crypto mining and US is going to put a tax on it which is a ban in disguise. Supporting this guy as a president was a huge mistake and now is the payback time.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 11, 2023, 11:22:33 AM
Thanks you for the heads up. However if you noticed the the first two words "Gambling Rings" is embedded in a hyperlink which leads you to the website you have pointed out. Move your cursor on it and see that it is in blue.

Anyways, thank you once again. Next time, I will state the link expressly at the end.

I saw the link. That's how I found out the website in the first place. The thing is, there isn't anything to separate the copy/paste text from the rest of the text which makes it look like you are also the author of the first sentence which isn't true.

Like I said It is not a big deal to me but someone picky with this stuff might use it against you.
1115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 11, 2023, 10:48:26 AM
Gambling rings are high-risk and high-reward operations that take advantage of market demand and turn it in their favor. Their modus operandi thrives on secrecy and they are involved in organizing all sorts of gambling games - slots, poker, blackjack, sports bet etc.Although the law enforcement agencies are doing their best, it is still a lot of work trying to crackdown on these rings. Gambling rings are illegal and people who are caught may either pay a huge fine or serve jail time.

I want to believe that so many people who patronize these gambling rings may have lost a lot of money or scammed and there is nothing they can do about it. And one of the reasons why people may even choose to patronize these gambling rings aside the high rewards is because gambling is banned in their society.

However I am thinking that if gambling is legalized, we would see a drastic reduction (not total elimination) in the operations of these rings. My reasons are that their activities will be carried out in a fair and transparent manner such that cases of frauds and scams will be eliminated as there will be proper mechanisms in place to prevent and protect the gamblers.

Do you think that there is a role that gambling legalization will play in reducing the activities of gambling rings?

Even though this seems like minor plagiarism it is still plagiarism and you might get reported for this. I googled the first sentence and there are many websites that use the exact same sentence and they all copy paste this from each other but that doesn't mean you can do the same thing here.

Just saying.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DAI and USDC depegged! on: March 11, 2023, 07:35:26 AM
That's very bad news for crypto. If USDC goes down, lots of banks and other institutes will go down with it. Hell it even might affect USDT and other stable coins too. This has the potential to create a total meltdown on crypto and if crypto gets affected that widely then it would affect the stock market. That would create a very big hole in the markets. (imagine what would happen if coinbase was filing bankruptcy and right now they stopped usdc widthdrawals)

But why is that happening now? Is it because Powell's hawkish speech or was this planned long time ago?

I feel like something very big and very bad is coming towards us.
1117  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: March 11, 2023, 04:24:19 AM
Money is the name of god. The more god essences (money) you collect, the godlier you will become.

Take a look at Elon Musk for example. He is a very godlike being. He has billions, he is making rockets go boom, manufacturing electric cars and solar roofs... He has everything a man would dream.

Donald Trump. The man is so rich, he became the president of the America even though he wasn't originally a politician... Another godlike being.

I can give you many examples. People think religions are a lie, the gods don't exist. They don't realize gods are living among us.

"IN GOD WE TRUST"

says on the back of a US dollar.

By "GOD", they mean the US Dollar.

People often think immortality is impossible. No. You just don't have enough money (god essences) to pay for it.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 10, 2023, 04:50:34 PM
I often see gamblers who are addicted and he can't get rid of the addiction, so the gambler sells what he has to gamble. I am well aware of the dangers of gambling addiction because what is meant by that is gambling, which they do is no longer for pleasure but for the sake of victory and greed and for some people they cannot control their gambling.
In this case is it possible for gambling platforms to provide stop gambling services to help gamblers reduce their desire to gamble, as in the context of cigarettes, every tobacco company always provides smoking cessation services either by telephone, clients who want to quit smoking can be given counseling and guidance, as well as referrals if you need follow up.
I think how if the Platform/gambling company has a stop gambling service that is very good and helps gamblers who want to stop.
I know this will backfire on the gambling platform, but in retrospect, if this is implemented, it is a so wise move.

What do you think about this?

It is just another way to promote their business imo.

-Come here we want you to become responsible gamblers!! We can limit your bets so you won't get addicted!

Lmao.

The casino owners don't really give a damn about the gambling addicts. Why would they? If a person is weak enough to get addicted to something, nobody can stop him/her. The world is full of addicts you just can't fix it and it is definitely not the casinos' responsibility to fix it. Even the governments can't really do anything about it other than banning gambling and as you know it is not really a solution neither. Long story short, weak people will get addicted and strong people will not and the life will go on as usual.
1119  Economy / Gambling / Re: No bet is a waste on: March 10, 2023, 03:38:44 AM
I agree that no bet is a waste.  My reason behind is that every bet we have the chance to win.  Just like betting in lottery, our ticket has a chance to win the jackpot price no matter how small it is.  Thinking that a $0.5 bet can win more than $20k is a good reason enough to gamble such amount.  And I think it is worth to try than letting the chance or opportunity to hit a jackpot since $0.5  can't make us any poorer but hitting $20k+ is a life changer especially to a gambler from a developing country.

Not only that

You learn something new every time you win or lose a bet. You’ll know the teams, the players, the refs better. You’ll get more experienced with what you do and that means you will potentially make less mistakes in the future. Less mistakes mean you’ll lose less money and make more.

Don’t even try this if you are casual player like me though. This is for the hardcore gamblers that want to make a job out of gambling. If people like me play more, we would only lose money and make nothing.
