1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: When is good time to buy miners in bear market? on: October 24, 2022, 06:29:43 AM
Hello guys.
Bought some btc miners(s19 95T) and gups in the last bull market before. Now it is relatively difficult to bring the return to capital in this bear market Cry. Maybe I should not have bought at high prices in the bull market before, so I think it is a reasonable choice to buy machines in the bear market instead, but what is the specific time for the relative price dip for the crypto miners? If it's the time, when there is no profit generated for the miners which is considered to be the current time period?

Always buy cheap sell high. That's the first rule of any trade.

If you think the miners are cheap now then it might be a good time to enter that business. However, miners are cheap for a reason: They ain't making money. If they printing money, nobody would sell them for cheap.

Do you know why miners are selling for cheap? It is because crypto is cheap.

If you think miners are cheap and later in the future they will make money... why don't you just buy crypto while it is cheap and sell them for a higher price when they are expensive?
1442  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 24, 2022, 06:06:19 AM
it actually is stupid.. and whats more shocking is people actually prefer sites like stake.com which even asks proof of funds lmfao.. thats totally absurd

What? This is the first time I hear about this. Asking for proof of funds is even more stupid than asking for KYC. Do you have any source for this? Somehow I missed the thread where it happened. Who teh fuck do they think they are? The FBI? Stake.com is a casino, they ain't the Police. If the Police asks them to do this on certain events, then I wouldn't complain even though it sucks but if they do this randomly out of the blue... then It would ruin the good casino image of them I have...
1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: October 23, 2022, 05:29:18 AM
It may but bitcoin would be the last thing you would worry about during a nuclear war. Even if it survives the Armageddon, I can guarantee you that the crypto prices won't look pretty which basically the whole point for most people. If you can call that surviving, yes it will survive just like how crypto survived mt.Gox before. A nuclear war will probably be much worse than the mt.Gox incident though keep that in mind. You should buy a bunker, dry food, water and other shit which people would consume during a nuclear war instead of thinking about crypto.
1444  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla can be worth more than Apple and Saudi Aramco combined - Elon Musk states on: October 22, 2022, 09:37:12 PM
Tesla don’t even sell the tenth of what the biggest car manufacturer is selling and yet Tesla is 10 times bigger than the biggest car manufacturer. Everybody but the investors can see the Tesla bubble. It is price to earnings ratio is through the roof and the valuation of this stock makes no sense. Stocks like tsla are known to create lots of bag holders and we will see if tsla is going to be an exception.
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins already dying on: October 22, 2022, 09:31:56 PM
I haven't heard any good news about privacy coins this days, it seems that people are losing interest in privacy coins because of regulation? Also privacy coins have bad performance compared to other altcoins, what is going on? Can privacy coins survive on the long run?

People have no choice… The exchanges are dropping their support for those coins and delisting them because it is impossible to track the movements of the coins for the government and they hate them for this.

When the exchanges don’t list them anymore people can’t trade them and convert their coins to FIAT… The loss of huge trade volume reflects on the price of these coins.

It is very sad to see that no coin can survive if the big exchanges don’t support them. It feels like we are back to where we started… The exchanges are banks v2.0
1446  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 22, 2022, 09:22:14 PM
See the price of META in the stock market. It is going down. Even the investors don’t believe in META and quitting their positions… why would other people believe in it? META has no future and everybody knows it but Zuckerberg.

People tried to live in a fantasy land before it is nothing new. It did work for a while but it never lasts forever. People eventually get bored of it and people got bored of meta before even trying it out.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The first ever Gambling Metaverse on: October 22, 2022, 04:38:14 PM
There are two types of casinos. 1-Real life physical casinos, 2-Online casinos. There is no such thing as metaverse casino, it is just another online casino. Whether it is encapsulated by metaverse or operating on a domain it doesn't make a difference. It is a virtual casino. Hyping these casinos is meaningless imo. There are already very good online casinos like stake.com, freebitco.in, primedice etc. Why would anybody make things more difficult? Metaverse is only adding another barrier between you and the casino.
1448  Economy / Economics / Re: We are facing a new recession ten years after the previous one... on: October 22, 2022, 03:41:07 PM
The interest rates were kept too low for too long. So many companies over leveraged themselves with the cheap money and now the money is getting more expensive, naturally they will suffer from it. It is the FED’s fault keeping the rates too low for nearly a decade and now is the payback time. It is not going to be pretty for many people because most of them will lose their jobs and life savings.
1449  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Gareth Soloway: BTC to 3,5k possible" How likely is that? on: October 22, 2022, 10:48:13 AM
What to do you think about this theory from Gareth Soloway:
https://www.kitco.com/news/2022-10-18/Bitcoin-could-fall-to-3-5K-as-recession-intensifies-and-stocks-collapse-Gareth-Soloway.html

He  argues that Amazon has fallen 95% in the dotcom bubble, and that the same could happen with Bitcoin.

How realistic do you think such a scenario is?

Nothing is impossible with crypto. $100k or $1k, all of them are in the real of possibilities. Lots of people will go mad at him but he is simply telling the truth. Crypto has no price floor as it don't have price ceiling. If you can't stomach the volatility, you shouldn't own any crypto and move to more less volatile assets like real estate.

Bitcoin lost more than 85% of its peak price before, it can definitely happen again. That's no big news.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 22, 2022, 07:55:31 AM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

No lawyer will go after the casino especially if the casino is located in a foreign country. The best way to solve this, is creating a forum thread, showing evidence of how you got scammed, leaving negative trust ratings and creating a flag.

If the casino operates in the same country you live in, then yes, you may sue them and get your money safely but most of these casinos operate in those small Caribbean countries.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining ban in Europe on: October 22, 2022, 04:59:46 AM
It was a matter of time anyways. When the energy prices that high, of course they would come after bitcoin mining. Hopefully this won't affect he network in a bad way. Maybe we will lose some hash rate but everything will keep moving forward without a trouble.

On the other hand if the countries also join this act then that would kill most of bitcoin's hashrate. That would become a serious problem. Maybe PoS is the answer...
1452  Economy / Economics / Re: UK economy bond market and current situatsion explained by percise analysis on: October 21, 2022, 09:38:33 AM
The US and the UK are both fucked because of their high debt. They can't raise the rates, they can't print more FIAT. One of them crashes the markets, the other brings hyperinflation. They are both cornered. There is no easy way out of this shitty situation. One way or another somebody will suffer and pay for that debt. And when these 2 countries start suffering, it will be a problem for everyone because their economies (especially the US) are pretty big.

1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: October 21, 2022, 07:40:50 AM
Broad adoption without regulation is impossible imo. If you want bitcoin to be adopted widely then you need to accept regulations by the governments. The regulations will make crypto exchanges look like banks because of the KYC enforcement (if it hasn't happened already) and that is not a good thing. Crypto means freedom and KYC is the exact opposite of being free. We are trying to escape the FIAT slavery system but regulations will turn crypto into a similar thing.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 03:38:14 PM
As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?

I don't know which country you live in but $50k won't really upgrade your life style in a meaningful way. Not if you live in a developed country at least. It would help but not much. $50k is probably not even enough to buy a brand new car nowadays.

As long as you don't try to win more and leave the table fast, you will be fine. It is the hardest thing for a gambler because he will think "why stop now while I am winning? why not win $100k? just one more round" and you know the rest of the story. The next round he will be $0.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realizing the value of holding cash on: October 20, 2022, 04:39:24 AM
Having cash is a position. A position which becomes useful in certain situations. Cash loses its buying power against the inflation but stocks/crypto lost their buying power against the dollar since their peak which makes the dollar a good hold since then. Lots of people bought btc when it was $40k+ and not many people want to buy now even though the price is much lower.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another example is how greed destroy crypto investors. on: October 19, 2022, 06:44:59 PM
I know the feeling. When greed takes over, the investor becomes a gambler and a gambler always loses against the house. Been there, done that.

An investor should never ever let his emotions affect himself. That's the most dangerous thing an investor can do to himself, losing his control over his emotions.

Sometimes you need to be happy with what you have or what you made. Sometimes you need to know when to leave the table.

I know it is hard, I know it feels like you are leaving the money behind but it is that feeling which forces you to make mistakes.
1458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 19, 2022, 10:08:50 AM
Let's be honest, money laundering is the best thing that can happen to a casino and there is where most of high rollers comes from. I have seen some rollers in the past that runs some huge scams and then go to the casinos to play with the scammed money and with that justify where they get the money from after hitting some huge wins.

Nowadays most casinos has KYC, but i don't think that is enough to stop the money laundering, what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?
As almost every casino has KYC system where kyc is required when someone invests huge money or wins huge amount.  In that case I don't think a crypto casino can be a big cause of money laundering.  Because if someone is doing money laundering there then his identity will be revealed due to KYC so I don't think anyone will choose crypto casino as a money laundering route.

That's true but almost every player out there wants to play on a KYC-free casino. These KYC-free casino would become a target for them money launderers.

If a person comes to " KYC-free casino x" with 100 btc, what should the owner of that casino do? Seize the money? Report the guy to the FBI? Deny service? Or just ignore him?

This is a pretty delicate matter. A person with 100btc very well may be a clean dude.
1459  Other / Archival / Re: What casinos are safe on: October 19, 2022, 10:04:37 AM
Hey here. I want to try myself in casino playing, but I am really afraid of being scammed. Few years ago I lost a huge amount of money that I saved for a long time..

The casinos that have a long history and a good reputation in this forum are usually considered safe.

freebitco.in, stake.com, primedice.com are a few good examples. There are obviously many more to add to my examples and you can find them yourself. Check the ANN threads of the casinos under this subforum and check their forum profiles. Read the positive/negative feedback the other forum users left on them and make up your own mind.

You can always get scammed by a casino which has a good reputation but the chances for this happening is pretty slim imo.
1460  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback VS Bonus on: October 17, 2022, 06:02:17 PM
Hey guys. Apart from winning let's talk about loosing  Wink
We all have bad days...
So the question is...if you loose many times in a row, what would you like at most - a cashback from what you've just lost or a bonus to go on?

Aren't they essentially the same thing? Why does it matter what you call it? Cashback or bonus, both mean "promotion" given to you by the casino so you can play a bit longer. You won't be able to withdraw that money (bonus or cashback) you already know that much. It will be there to make you play more and the more you play the more you will want to play. That's how gambling addiction works. The casino owners know this and they exploit this feeling pretty successfully. There is no free lunch.
