1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 18, 2022, 10:46:23 AM
I think It is a futile attempt… It is not the casino’s responsibility to teach people smart with their decisions. The only thing the casino cares about is making money.

Let’s say they banned people from using credit cards… those people will use their cards to buy crypto  this time… these casinos won’t know if the crpyto their customers deposited are borrowed coins or not.

It is all for the show… it is bot going to change anything imo
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 18, 2022, 07:34:27 AM
I think France will win the tournament. Messi is a great player (nowhere near of being the greatest of all times though) but football is a game of team play and France simply have a better team than Argentina's national football team. I'll probably make a bet on France's victory in a few hours. They deserved to win this tournament.

My score prediction is 3-1 France. There won't be any goals in the first half.
1323  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World population is now 8 billion. on: December 18, 2022, 06:04:16 AM
After 9-10 billion there is point of no return. It will go upwards parabolic. You may even call it ballistic.

We need to do something about this or else it is not going to be pretty. Bill Gates was working on this by improving our reproductive health with the vaccines but he has so little time left.

We need those vaccines more than ever now and we need them now.

Without getting a vax shot people shouldn’t even leave their homes. The world leaders should enforce vaccination.

We have already seen it with the mrna shots. They are safe and effective.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla’s stock prices dropping fast on: December 17, 2022, 06:45:00 PM
It is not a surprise that TSLA is dropping like a rock. There are many reason for that.

First of all, the stock was and still is, heavily overbought. It is expensive af. The P/E ratio of that stock is above 40 while the world's biggest car manufacturer Toyota has a P/E of 11.

Second of all, EV's are a dead end. Oil is not going away no matter how hard you lie to yourself. The lithium prices are already climbing along with the electricity prices. It is not sustainable. If you think oil consumption is unsustainable but lithium battery is, you are in a big fucking surprise.

Elon already knows that and that's why he is dumping his position on TSLA like there is no tomorrow.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your mooe cant chage a game results on: December 17, 2022, 06:37:10 PM
People who believe that kind of metaphysical stuff just don't know math or they are retarded af. People who know math and use it well make money, people who believe in fairy tales get slaughtered. What you do in your daily life or have seen in your dream last night has no effect on the outcome of the game you are betting on. Any person with a little bit of common sense can tell you that.

That kind of crap thoughts usually occur when we are kids. Most people thought (or maybe some of us still stink) that they are the headliners and everybody else are NPC's.

Well, that simply isn't true.
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 17, 2022, 05:05:03 AM
LoL maybe that's true but if people stay on the exchanges they will lose their funds anyway: He is like "you will lose these coins one way or another so lose it on us"  Grin He is treating the investors as gamblers and the saddest part is, he might be right actually. Still though, he is not telling this because he is worried about the investors, he is worried about his own business.

If you can't handle your own private key, you shouldn't be owning crypto imo. "Not your keys, not your coins."
1327  Economy / Economics / Re: A breakthrough in thermonuclear fusion technology! End of the era of hydrocarbon on: December 17, 2022, 05:00:23 AM
I don't think so. They are probably lying/bluffing so Russia and Saudis panic and sell their oil for a cheaper price. They won't fall for this trick if they are smart. Oil/Gas will be around even long after this current generation dies. It simply is the best and most practical source of energy. The problem is, the west have don't have them enough and well... nobody cares.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 16, 2022, 03:16:01 PM
Hi guys, just interested what are your casino's of choice? Or just general online sites?
And what are your go-to games?

My favorite casino by far is freebitco.in. Easy to register, easy to play, no KYC, fast withdrawals, so much free stuff they throw at you... The house edge is a bit on the higher side but nothing is perfect. This casino however, is very close to be perfect. They have been around for years (7 or more? I lost the count) and I never ever had a problem with them. They used to have dice only but now they have almost any kind of game you can bet on.
1329  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 16, 2022, 08:03:36 AM
I just won another 5000rp from my wheel of fortune spins which I bought with my reward points  Cheesy

At this point I feel like I am robbing the casino because these spins are literally +EV. Even the lottery tickets have value even though the chances to win the lottery is pretty slim but it is still there... You'll never know which is going to be your lucky week.

Also got a few 5000 lottery tickets and 5000 satoshi rewards before. I am simply making more than what I spent with these spins.

Another big win today from wof spins. My luck continues.  Grin I still don't understand how is freebitco.in making money from this. It is obviously working against their interests because they are giving so much for free.

If you check the seed the roll is 9994 which a rare as fuck roll.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 15, 2022, 11:43:00 AM
Tipping is a pretty controversial topic. In some countries people never tip because it is not in their culture. I am not sure but Germany is probably one of these countries. (Somehow I remember this)

In my personal opinion, If you made any money during your gambling session, giving away tips wouldn’t really hurt. If you got the attention you deserved, even though that’s their job to show you attention, it is a good gesture. Collecting tips make people love their jobs more. It makes them feel that they are actually having their own business.

I think we should tip hardworking people whenever it is possible.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge demand for privacy incoming - Monero (XMR) will likely surge on: December 15, 2022, 04:42:05 AM
Without the support from the exchanges, even if there was huge demand for xmr, people will a hard time to get their coins.

The exchanges don’t really like xmr and there only a handful of them list this coin. They still list it because the demand is still low I think. When people want XMR the remaining exchanges that still list XMR will see the growing demand and start delisting xmr.

Long story short, tptb won’t let xmr to take over.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is SCREWED! How Ripple is going to fail against competitors on: December 14, 2022, 01:52:58 PM
Ripple isn’t even a crypto currency… it is just a centralized database which ripple labs own… it is a security.

I don’t care if it is a scam anymore however. It is already too late and the damage has been done.

Coinmarketcap (before binance) knew what ripple was and they didn’t care. For years it stayed at #2 position and don’t tell me it is because xrp deserved that position.

They simply did what SBF did. Bribed the right guys. Lucky for them, their CEO is smarter than SBF so XRP haven’t collapsed, yet.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When devs don't even know what they are doing on: December 14, 2022, 05:13:09 AM
Take a look at this crypto company called Bitcoin.com, the name itself have a lot to say but instead these people went and create their coin on Ethereum  Grin Grin Grin

Can we say they don't know what they are doing? How can you name your project Bitcoin dot come and create token on Ethereum? I belief that Bitcoin dot come should have make their own bitcoin coin.

Would you provide us a link so guys like know what you are talking about?

What did Roger do this time? Created another alt but instead of doing it on BCH, did it on ETH? As far as I know BCH is capable of creating tokens but since nobody uses BCH there is no point in creating it there. But then, even if the CEO of BCH don't use BCH, who is going to use BCH? BCH plz...
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SBF, arrested! on: December 13, 2022, 10:06:55 AM
Quote
Bankman-Fried could face life in prison without the possibility of supervised release. Such a severe punishment would be unusual but not extraordinary. Ponzi scheme mastermind Bernie Madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison, an effective life sentence, for his massive ponzi scheme.

SBF serving life is indeed extreme, his carelessness must have brought people to do weird things like committing suicide. Earlier, I thought the Bahamas Government wouldn't arrest him, but SBF moving around attending interviews with mainstream media was so awkward regarding the allegations on him. However, the Bahamas government delayed his arrest until US filed a crime against SBF. He should have been arrested immediately FTX collapsed, and extraditing him to US will harden the young billionaires case and time in prison. Do you think the Bahamas Government had their reasons for delaying his arrest? Because from the link OP provided SBF's lawyer accused the Bahamas authorities of working closely with SBF in shoving peoples money out of FTX to a private wallet owned by the Bahamas authorities.

Serving life would be extreme, but his punishment needs to be a serious one. I would say he deserves at least 20 fucking years in the can. (without a peep) Making him eat grilled cheese of the radiator would be a plus but should be optional.

This guy ripped people off. Many people lost their life savings because of him. He didn't know, he was careless, he was a kid etc these are all bullshit excuses.

When you commit a crime being stupid is not an excuse.

1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin project a failure after all ? on: December 12, 2022, 06:56:06 PM
It has been 12 years since Satoshi disappeared on December 12, 2010.
Now, it seems to have become something quite different from what he originally set out to do, doesn't it ?
I want to hear "How did you see the development of Bitcoin at that time ?
And how do you all feel about the current situation, which is far from the "pure" world that he aimed for ?"

First of all, satoshi wasn't a god or a prophet. The world is far bigger than him and whatever vision he had for the future. At this point, what he thought, what he wanted don't mean anything because he has not been around for a long time. Maybe bitcoin would be in a better shape if he was still around. We can't know that. However, there is also a possibility that him being around would damage bitcoin a lot and I think he knew about it. That's why he disappeared probably.
1337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC is not safe on: December 11, 2022, 02:16:58 PM
No stable coin is safe. The sooner people understand this the better it is for everyone. Stable coins require your trust to operate. You don’t need to trust anybody when using bitcoin. Stable coins are centralized, require your trust and these are against the ideals of crypto completely. Crypto itself is rock solid and can endure any attack but this, this is not a direct attack at crypto. These unbacked tokens artificially shoot up the crypto asset prices and that made everybody feel good but when these tokens disappear all the hell will break loose. The problem is, tether shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever tried Anti Martingale Strategy? on: December 11, 2022, 10:22:04 AM
In martingale, a gambler increases the bet size to double in the hope to recover the loss from the previous bet. I have tried it a few times & to be honest with you, I have never had a good return on my bets; I have lost most of the time.
On the other hand, the Anti martingale strategy is- to double the bet size when you are winning & halving the bet size when you are losing. In such a condition, when you are winning; you are doubling the size & you will lose from your winning. WEell, this strategy is more risky I guess though some have told it as less risky than martingale.
Have you ever tried ti? What's your opinion? Which one is more risky; Martingale or Anti Martingale?

It won't work either way because there is this thing called "the house edge". And as long as it is there, any strategy you come up with will make you lose in the long run. The best and the only strategy to beat the house is playing less (ideally once) and wagering more. Only then you can become an exception mathematically.

Any other strategy which makes you play more will get the house working and that means you will lose for certain because that's how the house edge works. It takes the money from your pocket and put it in the casino's.
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: USDT is the next token to crash / Tether fraud exposed on: December 11, 2022, 05:44:39 AM
The Tether scam is nothing new. It is a known scam I believe since 2017-2018. The thing is somehow they keep it going because most of the crypto trading volume is happening on tether and if tether goes down, crypto will go down with it. If crypto goes down, almost ever crypto exchange will go down with it and this will affect anyone who holds crypto.

Tether may go down tomorrow or 2 years later from now but it will go down when no big whales are in the game. Obviously it is the retail small investors that will bite the bullet like it always happens.
1340  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk forum vs OpenAI - ChatGPT on: December 10, 2022, 04:54:09 PM
Now the big question is, is it against the forum rules if you post AI's response as your own. It is not ethical but who is going to prove that is a plagiarized text since the AI can produce perfectly unique articles?

Even if we introduce such a rule on the forum, who will check whether the text belongs to a person or an AI? Where to find that line between text written by a human and text written by a machine? If you know such an algorithm, please share it. I, for one, have no idea how to do it. And also, can you imagine how many topics will be created in Meta about the complaints against the moderators, that they deleted someone's post, because they thought that this post was written by an AI Smiley

One can raise its intellectual capacity so much via using AI, he may even get a chance to be included in chipmixer's sig camp lol.

Imagine a retard who can't even speak English properly posting like a Crypto Professor.

He can even use AI while talking to forum people lol. That's fucked up.

I think we will see so many experts posting soon.  Grin Imagine everybody is posting like nullius in every one of his/her posts. Wohoo
