1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: March 19, 2023, 07:16:31 AM
Please rate from 1-10 which are the most important qualities/features that casino of your choosing should have.
You can use each number once.

I'll give you an example and after after i get enough answers i edit and count the average to the the table underneath.

Features:Importance:
Huge variety of games and different sections (sports, live tables, etc
Good bonus/reward program
Good looking, intuitive and fast user interface
Good help desk
Strong community/ Reputation
The age of the site
Casino's own token that pays dividends / ability to mine it by gambling
Instant deposits & payments
No Kyc
Nr of payment methods

5

Instant payments is the most important feature a casino should have imo. If I can't immediately withdraw my money whenever I want it, then I am not going to play on that casino.  It is that simple. Reputation/Casino age/No KYC are the next most important features. The casino's age shows how determined they are to stay in this business. A hit&run casino would be gone in a few months maybe a year and that because either they are incompetent or they are scammers. A good casino knows its shit and they are here for the long term.

Nr of payment methods, Bonus programs, selection of games etc. these are cool features too but they don't really have to be the top quality.
1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $1M Bitcoin Valuation until the end of this Bull Run on: March 19, 2023, 06:30:11 AM
I agree, it would be impossible for bitcoin to reach $1M without any crisis happening in the economic situation in the world. Remember that bitcoin is a volatile system that you can't guarantee that it would reach to $1M in just months. It took years before reaching its current value ($27k) it might be possible but it sounds good to be true that it will increase the worth of bitcoin in just few months. And the fact that financial crisis is no joke for you to celebrate just to increase the value of bitcoin. Imagine gaining some profit for the hunger and death also increase? It shouldn't be rush let's remember the people in our community that will suffer from the process. This may bring the downfall of the economics that many people can be affected.

A very big crisis might even harm bitcoin instead of benefiting it. Think about it... The world still runs on FIAT whether you like it or not. We do our groceries with our cc's, not with crypto. If a few big banks go down in the US and EU, then people will run to the banks and withdraw their money because they need to have cash to spend for their daily purchases, their rent, their bills... If the banks can't function, cash will be the king. The same they will rush to the banks, they will rush to bitcoin too... to convert their coins to cash. It bitcoin adoption was big, maybe they wouldn't do that but we are not there yet. Right now only some small banks are going down. That's why btc is going up because the threat isn't that serious, yet.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of decentralization and BTC digital economy on: March 19, 2023, 05:25:42 AM
Just found out an interesting  Bitcoin documentary film on YouTube. CZ Binance, Justin Sun Tron, Charles Hoskinson Cardano and many other top crypto projects founders & influencers discuss how blockchain changes the world. Do you think it is worth to be watching? Or we don’t have to trust centralized ecosystem founders to discuss Bitcoin? Here is the link: https://youtu.be/jP5W8PmyC1c

Watch it if you have too much free time but in the end they can’t decide BTC’s future. Do you think btc would die if binance was shut down? Only the price would go down maybe for a week… Remember CZ tried to rewind the blockchain once after binance got hacked. He is (or was) that clueless about bitcoin. Somehow he is the face of the biggest crypto exchange and remember, he is only a talking head. His words don’t really carry any weight.
1084  Economy / Reputation / Re: How wide reaching can the consequences of Chipmixer money laundering be? on: March 18, 2023, 01:13:04 PM
Strangely enough, no data was reported from Proton's email, although it was the main email that the team used.

What if I told you protonmail was just another FBI trap to lure the criminals in? How do you know they aren't?

Here is another example:

There was a browser plugin called "ghostery". It was supposed to stop google from collecting your data and guess what happened... They logged your information instead and sold them to another 3rd party (at least that's what I've read about them)
https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/1gmxdz/consumer_affairs_ghosterys_shady_sells_your_data/

Quote
Ghostery is a widget users can install in their web browsers, and it's made by a company called Evidon.

Evidon helps companies that want to improve their use of tracking code by selling them data collected from the 8 million Ghostery users who have enabled the tool's data sharing feature

What about NordVPN?

I am damn sure I read something about them not being as anonymous as they advertise themselves to be. Let's pretend I didn't. Would you trust NordVPN's services if you were into any illegal shit?

The moral of the story here is you cannot trust any service or any company which claims to protect your privacy. You are just making yourself an easy target especially if you are dealing with any kind of shady shit. They will let you watch porn and pretend you aren't jerking off to it and that's it. Even watching porn might get you into trouble depending on the type you are into.

Believing that protonmail is a safe privacy email service is like believing everything the TV tells you.  Grin

- This is the most anonymous email service!
+ Why? How do you know?
- Are you blind? It says it on its cover!!
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random thought of a boy concerning Bitcoin on: March 18, 2023, 07:48:54 AM
Correct me if I am wrong, I am just a small boy anyway, so what do I know? To me whales are losing power with Bitcoin adoption, years ago whales are in charge of many Bitcoin and many people are saying, only few people control Bitcoin, since they own many Bitcoin, but right now Bitcoin is spreading to every corner of the world, I am not saying that whales still don't have power, I am just saying they are having less Bitcoin than before and it's getting to the hands of many more people.

Why would the whales lose their power as long as they don't lose their coins to someone else? A whale of yesterday is still a whale today and he still has the same power he had yesterday. Why do you think they are having less bitcoins than before? Do you think they are losing the buy low sell high game? They never lose. Only the small fish lose that game. Whales are whales because they know how to play this game.
1086  Economy / Economics / Re: Has anyone felt lost in pursuit of financial freedom ? on: March 18, 2023, 07:45:00 AM

To make myself clear, this thread is not about complaint or confusion. Actually, I am more than fulfilled to chase my financial goals. This question only comes when I stop to think about the deep meaning of finance-free. Whether you are young or old, man or woman, money is what keeps you live and live well in the world. Being financial independent and sufficient is everyone's dream. However, have you thought about the losses in exchange for the material gains ? When you barely make ends meet, you'll bust yourself to make more money; when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring. I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.

That's the result of capitalism and it is not necessarily a bad thing. We never know when to say "enough". Everybody wants a bigger house, a faster car, more land, a better looking gf etc. When we accomplish all of those, we want more of them even though we don't really need them for our survival. The resources are limited but since the rich always want more of those resources for themselves, the poor will never get the chance to be rich during their life time.

In the end rich or poor we are all in the same pot, playing the same game. If you don't want to, you are free to leave the game. Can I hazz your stuff?
1087  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to become a slot game admin? on: March 18, 2023, 07:10:47 AM
There's a lot of talk in my neighborhood about slot games. It's a little logical when I listen to each of their conversations saying that players will never win until whenever and players will win when they stop being players and become admins.

The sentence that players never win and will only win when players become admins has always been a big question mark. Does anyone know how to become a slot admin?

Go to your local casino and talk to the boss there? He probably would want to hire someone that is smart, knows the gambling basics and beyond but most importantly, he would want to hire someone he could trust. You need to show him that you are not going to fuck him over. It is every employer's dream to find a solid, reliable worker. Don't expect them to be impressed by your college degrees.
1088  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: March 18, 2023, 06:07:43 AM
by now chipmixer is gone. What are the best alternatives right now?

The services section has a good headcount of mixers to look at such as Coinonomize.biz, YoMix and sinbad.

There is no shortage of mixers but the question is are these mixers safe ? I mean they say that they don't keep the logs but in fact we have seen that they do. There is no way we can trust the mixers on their wording.

Also, don't you think that after chipmixer, these governing bodies may be a crackdown against other mixers too  Huh If I was to use any mixer, I would just postpone the idea and wait for a month or so, to see how things move on.

After this fiasco, I wouldn't trust any of the crypto mixers out there. I wouldn't promote them in my signature space because you are probably going to get scammed when you need the only service they claim to provide, privacy. Why would I vouch for a service that's not going to honor its word when it is most needed? If the so called "best crypto mixer" out there can't accomplish it, what makes anyone think the other services will?
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 17, 2023, 04:58:42 PM
When I was growing up, I had a lot of experience gambling on games like:
---arm wrestling
---card game
----PlayStation competition
----dice
----animal racing
----food eating gamble
----playing soccer
And so much more but its seem the world has evolved so greatly and many things we do before, have now been inputed in the internet and its now makes it access alot easier but I had some recent arguments with some folks in my locality that before, gambling physically with people was more fun than doing online in these recent casino that seem to cover all of our old gambling habits but I argued on the latter. So I thought I should drop here and here some of opinion of most advance gamblers with lots of gambling experience.

This depends much on the player's personality.

I like to meet new people mostly so I'd prefer to play at a physical casino when I can but since that's not always a possibility, then online gambling is the next best thing. It is not as fun as the real thing but it is close especially when I can entertain myself with something else while gambling. (like watching a football game) Human interaction makes everything feel better imo. Playing against a machine all the time gets boring pretty quickly. When you play against a real human they sometimes make mistakes but those damn machines never make any mistakes. They are never stupid. They only follow their algo/math which kills all the fun.
1090  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: March 17, 2023, 09:29:26 AM
That is just another question in a long list of other questions about exactly what happened. If someone wanted to create a mixer or anonymity based service they should at least have researched about that. As you said, to have hosting based in a jurisdiction that could damage the privacy promises they made to their customers is basically contradictory and counterproductive to their aims.

Well in my point of view if "he" or " them " worked way more professional then why did they choose an " onshore " hosting even if its maybe one out of X servers in their internal structure.

I mean choosing such an jurisdiction for hosting such a website doesnt make any sense. I mean we talk about hetzner which reacts very strict to any kind of abuse against their ToS and chipmixer/crypto falls for sure under their terms.

So imo i think they didnt even work properly from the beginning when choosing the server location. They might have some technical knowledge to setup the infrastructure but they didnt even think twice about the server location itself.

It is impossible to be anonymous when you offer your services on a .com domain anyway. The US practically owns every .com domain out there. How on earth can they seize any .com domain they want? That's because they own the domain providers too. (hosting/domain providers pay taxes to the government which make them a government partner)

Privacy and Internet don't mix well.
1091  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 17, 2023, 05:03:51 AM
Or, there's one guy taking the fall now. I always thought that CM had deep pockets from the start, and that doesn't sound like a single guy from Vietnam.
I thought about it too. I think it's quite common practice when business hire some random dude to be their public person. His name is used for things like hosting, bank payments, communication and etc, while real work is done by other people who remain behind the curtains.

Binance is doing the same thing too. All we know about Binance is CZ. It is like CZ is behind everything.  Grin He is accepting deposits, he is approving withdrawals, he is processing KYC's, he is dealing with the FBI/CIA, he is dealing with the twitter folks, he is a one man army.

CZ!

CZ!!!

CZ!!!!

Without CZ, Binance wouldn't exist. God bless him.

However, the argument remains the same. The government does not have the right to arrest the creator of the knife if his creation was used to murder someone. The government should arrest the murderer. I am shaking my head why there are some people who argue that the arrest and detention is acceptable because it is not.

What about CM storing keys though? If true, that's going to cause some serious trouble on its users and they openly said, they don't do it. People used CM to stay anonymous, if CM stored their users IP's, addresses etc... Wouldn't be that lying? Would it be better if they stayed in the business and kept logging their users? Grow the jackpot even bigger for the FEDs?

It seems to me, you just can't trust anybody or any service these theys. You just don't know who is a fucking badge.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The journey of successful business man who were professional gamblers on: March 17, 2023, 04:59:31 AM
I am pretty sure at least one of those names (probably more than one) you mentioned didn't become a successful businessman just because he was a good gambler. Some of those guys (at least 1), did some pretty illegal shit to grow their empire and I am pretty positive all of them already had huge amounts of money to start with. If you think these men were playing slots in a casino all day and then randomly they decided to be become "successful" businessmen, then you are in a big surprise. Nothing of a kind happened.

I saw a few people wearing the sinbad signature, but after opening the site through Tor, I was greeted with a Cloudflare page. Not a good idea to go through Cloudflare, which decrypt and cache the whole traffic, if we want to really improve our privacy..
Will look at the others later.

I think people only care if they are getting paid at this point. Grin
1094  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 16, 2023, 12:03:46 PM
I wonder how many people used that service, 7 TB of data, lol it looks like they logged everything.

How are they going to pay back? By selling out those who used their services. D'uh.

That should be a lesson learned for everybody. Everything you do on the internet gets logged. Everything. If someone says otherwise, he is lying.

Do you think Chipmixer would have the details of those that accessed their website with TOR browser? Just wondering because their customers care so much about privacy and wouldn't access the site with legit IP. Besides, I don't understand why forum users are quarried about BTT appearing on a government document issued by the FBI. Chipmixer was promoted here by top reputable members, yet that doesn't make chipmixer, bitcointalk. The FBI are concerned about the illicit actions that chipmixer carried out with its customers and the huge amount of money they've mixed without traces. Why did the government appear now they mixed about $3b worth of transaction. If they freeze this forum how much money would they realize? who is their target? the government is after money nothing else. Chipmixer is not licensed that means they've gotten nothing monetary from the mixer yet they are making lots of money with the US citizens. And break laws, its allegedly used to rinse ransomware funds, fraud stores funds, dark web transaction etc. What matters is that these allegation doesn't make Nguyen guilty, until he is tried in court. Until then we'll know the faith of Chipmixer.

TOR is probably not as safe as you’d think. I don't know how, but I am pretty sure I read the news about people getting caught even though they used TOR. Caring about your privacy don't make you a privacy expert in an instant.

In fact, the greatest privacy experts out there know that the best way to remain anonymous is staying offline. Means, not playing this game at all.

They won't go after BTT unless it is in their interest to do so. I don't think we are there yet.
1095  Other / Meta / Re: Should the forum stop advertising mixers? on: March 16, 2023, 11:46:57 AM
Would theymos have to comply if the goverment steps in and asks for IPs of all who wore a chipmixer signature?

Theymos will give everybody's IP's on a platter.  Grin Nobody else is more precious than my own skin. That's a common algorithm for the humans. It is called selfishness. Me first everybody else later. Theymos will also act according to this code especially when they make him face a jail sentence. He will chicken out and I don't blame him. I would do the same thing.

1097  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 16, 2023, 09:58:02 AM
Yeah. I am not buying that story neither. One would be incredibly stupid to believe that a man from Chi- I mean Vietnam was behind the whole operation. Whoever was running the operation probably made him and his family incredibly rich so they could use his name on the papers. Everything was good as long as no FEDs were involved but when they do... he is going to pay for the wealth he acquired by serving jail time. A fair trade I would say. Balanced. Like everything in the universe. Action > Reaction. Cause and Effect.
1098  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is ChipMixer a probable HoneyPot? on: March 16, 2023, 07:56:25 AM

Just like Bitmixer.io->Bestmixer.io->Chipmixer.io

There won't be a second bitmixer never ever never again. I wish there would but... I know it is not going to happen. It was like a very good dream when it was happening. You know how good dreams end. They end way too fast. Just like directbet.eu.

There are people out there that can't stand other people having good things so they have the urge to destroy anything beautiful.

Bitmixer was beautiful. Directbet.eu was beautiful. btc-e was beautiful. Now they are all dead.

DEAD

DEAD

DEAD
1099  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ChipMixer.com has been seized. on: March 16, 2023, 05:12:39 AM
Now I understand why bitmixer.io chickened out and left this business years ago. If you never have heard of it, bitmixer.io had the best automated signature campaign of this forum running till they decided that they don’t want to live behind the bars because they exactly knew how risky it was to mix “clean” coins with “dirty” coins. It wasn’t worth it. If you read bitmixer.io’s last posts, they said just that. The account is still around and reading the forum btw. He must be thinking… “I shorted this business right in time. Phew.”
1100  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism vs AI Posting on: March 16, 2023, 05:02:52 AM
Most topics in the forum are pretty lame anyway. You don't need the AI's opinion on those. When you are about to make a post on a serious matter, you can ask chatGPT's opinion, understand it and then repost it with your own sentences. Nobody will really notice that they are talking to an AI bot. But I think you don't need to take this forum that seriously. There isn't anything to gain. Even if you come up with the most sensible answers to the most serious questions, nobody will care.

Right now people are using chatgpt to make posts without being smart. They ask a question and copy/paste the answer without making any modifications to it. That's because people who use chatGPT to make posts don't know much of a Engrish in the first place.

It is like giving a monkey a machine gun. A soldier can use a machine gun effectively and kill lots of enemies but in the hands of a monkey you don't know who is going to be the next target because the monkey has no brains to use the gun effectively. He will just randomly press any buttons he can, shoot anything he can, sometimes himself too  Grin... No aim needed.
