1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: where the losed money goes? on: March 07, 2023, 02:57:35 PM
my question is ,
when we play gambling online in casino , we always bust our account , many new comers completely blow their account every time they deposit ,
the gambling site owner's earn money by the commission which it takes 1% or less on every bet made by user , when blowing accounts where all money goes, in casino's pocket or where ,
and the question that the losed money will go to other player's pocket who wins big but the winning players are very less,
...

It goes to coke & blow. Sometimes lambos and weed too. Since you don't know how to have fun with your money, you donated yours to the casino owner and he is going to spend it like a king.

...
i think many are losing in gambling and the casino sites are hugely profiting from us ,
do you think that is the case .

Of course they make huge profits. That's why they are in this business. You didn't think they do this for charity right?

If you are not OK with this fact, you can always choose not to play.

If you think they are making a killing and that's not fair, then you can create your own casino and do the same thing.
1124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto Is US Government on: March 06, 2023, 06:38:15 AM
Even if that was true (satoshi is the US gov), that doesn't really make btc less valuable. The code is open source. You can examine it or hire someone to examine it for you. If you don't like it you have the right to avoid it.

Bitcoin is nowhere being a monopoly. It is not even widely adopted yet. You can always use the alternative crypto projects or your credit cards.

Bitcoin is providing a choice. It is just another tool in the toolbox.
1125  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russophobia as a phenomenon on: March 05, 2023, 05:37:32 PM
And tell me, who is deporting innocent imaginary russians back to russia now?
Just because you can think of something doesn't make it real. Situation is quite opposite, we have literally taken russian refugees.

Read the post again. I am asking you if you are OK with this. From your earlier post I get the impression that you are agreeing with these 2 guys.

As for deporting all Russians, well, they all pose a risk. How many of them actively support Putin's regime? Do you know?

They have to be deported now or will have to be interned later.

Russia must be isolated from civilization, like a prehistoric lizard that has survived to our time.

If you don't, then good for you. I don't see a reason to have a debate with you.
1126  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russophobia as a phenomenon on: March 05, 2023, 01:44:06 PM
C'mon folks, we are better than this!
-cut-
Let's kick fascism out of Europe.
-cut-
That's weak, we have been combating far right all along. In fact Russia has been funding far right movements and these days those movements gets their news from Kremlin troll factories. It's Russia and other totalitarian countries that are not doing anything about their fascism.

I am willing to bet that same people posting these slogans wouldn't like to see Putin's fascist regime overthrown.

And sure, i am willing to bet there are handful of westerns that hate even common Russians.
Just like there are Russians babushkas hating Ukrainians. -> https://i.imgur.com/zvykFoq.mp4
And yes, i am sure this is a small minority of people just like in western countries.

Are you OK with these people wanting to deport these innocent Russians from Europe? What do you know about these people? (besides them being Russians) Maybe they hate Putin as much as you do. Would you feel sorry for them if they do?

They pay taxes, they have their right the vote. They are as European as the other Europeans now since they all have a European passport. What gives you the right to take these people's home from them?

They didn't kill the Ukrainians. They are trying to live their life just as anybody...

Racism is racism no matter which excuse you use as a cover.

If you hate Russia so much, why don't you ask the EU to nuke Kremlin?
1127  Economy / Economics / Re: forget about value investing, you are not the house, you cannot win. on: March 05, 2023, 11:39:07 AM
You can win, as long as you pretend dead.

Quote
Fidelity Reviewed Which Investors Did Best And What They Found Was Hilarious

O'Shaughnessy: "Fidelity had done a study as to which accounts had done the best at Fidelity. And what they found was..."

Ritholtz: "They were dead."

O'Shaughnessy: "...No, that's close though! They were the accounts of people who forgot they had an account at Fidelity."

You know this was also the case with bitcoin. Those who got super rich from bitcoin were the same people which either forgot that they had any bitcoins or died long time ago.

If you are one of those guys that stare at the charts alk day, make trades etc then yes you are not going to be the winner in the long run.

If you just forget that you had assets... then it is just going to be another story.
1128  Economy / Gambling / Re: who to trust in gambling sites? on: March 05, 2023, 11:11:12 AM
Of course you can trust them. Scammer operations have many red trust ratings on their accounts. One example is 1xbit. See their account and all the negative trust ratings:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2835882

See that? There are more than 20 negative trust ratings and an active flag on that account.

This casino for example is definitely a scammer. Never ever trust this one.
1129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: On Ordinals: Where do you stand? on: March 05, 2023, 08:26:59 AM
I know there's already a thread on Ordinals in the Development & Technical Discussion board but it's more on the technical side of things.

Since this is a very technical matter, I don't think any common pleb should have an opinion on that. It is because they can't understand what an "ordinal" is. If they can't understand it, how are they going to give an opinion about it? If they do it anyway, then their opinions will be worthless just like most of you that posted their opinions in this thread. I bet only a few of you actually understood what this is about and how it is going to affect bitcoin.

The general people don't care about these stuff. We care about the charts. Just tell us when moon, when lambo. Don't give us that boring crap.

Alright here is my take:

Ordinals... I stand where I always stood. As long as ordinals and cardinals can get along well, I am all for it.  I don't care if it is an ordinal who sits on the throne or a cardinal. The devs will know the best. I trust them.

Like it?  Grin
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambler has 100% trust in each stake on: March 05, 2023, 08:13:28 AM
In the game of sports, winners are always categorized based on the team with the highest performance. For example, in English football (EPL), Arsenal Football Club and Manchester City are seen to have good tactical skills, making them stand out as winners in each of their games. Therefore, a gambler establishes trust in those teams because they have won almost 88% of their games. The gambler stakes high on each of these teams because they believe that the money invested in each team will bring out good returns.

The same thing goes for when a gambler wants to stake on players. They must know the performance of that particular player before any trust can be established. For example, Harland of Manchester City is known for goal-scoring, and Saka of Arsenal is known for good finishing. This is how trust in gambling is established, although this trust sometimes fails.

My question now is, As a gambler would you give 100% to a stake that you trust?

I don't. It is impossible to trust a player a team 100%. People fail and sometimes they even cheat. Sometimes, even though that's rare, they just don't want to score a goal or save a goal. They just don't. All of these are human factors. We are not machines. Therefore, there will always be some luck factor in every sports game no matter how much research you do on each player, each team, their coaches, referees... Something might go wrong all the time and you simply cannot calculate every possibility.
1131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will you feel when your government make BTC legal? on: March 05, 2023, 04:37:11 AM
I would feel pretty good about it knowing that the government is there to make my life easier unlike the other governments. You know crypto people usually don’t like any centralized entities. Governments and the central banks are the prime examples of those entities. But when a government legalize crypto (like the government of El Salvador did)  instead of banning or ignoring it that changes everything. Suddenly the government isn’t something you despise anymore. It becomes a powerful ally.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Solana failure resistant? on: March 04, 2023, 05:32:07 PM
Solana has stopped serving multiple times. Bitcoin has been around way loner than Solana and never ever stopped working. (Maybe only during its very early days but that doesn’t count)

Why would anybody in the right mind trust Solana with their money?

Apparently Solana’s devs aren’t competent with what they are doing. I wouldn’t touch a project like that with a 10ft pole.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: March 04, 2023, 11:35:50 AM
so whoever wins, If crypto-friendly and doesn't like the war, I will support him.

He may not support war but that doesn't mean there won't be one. If China attacks Taiwan, or if North Korea attack the South there will be a war in which the US will take part, despite of whoever they choose to be the president. There will also be a war if Russia uses nukes or of Russia attacks a NATO country...
IMO Biden has no chance for reelection. He's too old and is proving to be weak. A weak president makes the country look weak.
If China cannot take control of Taiwan, then most likely a war is going to happen, and US should be prepared for it. Maybe it’s just a bonus if the next President will be able to control the pressure and make the right approach so that  everything will not end up in war. But if Biden will still win, I doubt he can stop a war with China. And yes, he’s too old for a re-election but Biden seems too determined to run again, and the citizens have no control when it comes to that.
Biden returns to making policy to send weapons to Taiwan, I read this news yesterday, I don't know why Biden directly load a confrontation to China?, why did Biden ignite world war 3?.

So If you guy like war which make the bitcoin price down or rise to Biden's electability, it's not something good.

It is because Biden is a warmonger.

Oh the sweet irony. If you ask the democrats they would tell you that Trump was the warmonger. Obviously the truth is far from it. In fact, Trump should get a prize for keeping the world peace intact because no war happened during his term.

Ukraine-Russia war started after Biden's election too. Coincidence?

I think not.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 04, 2023, 10:05:30 AM
I will draw my teaching from this sub topics below;
How do you increase capital investment and make more profits?

* Buy more money or income
* Invest More money or capital
Now let's understand the concert money, is a legal tender or recognised transactional exchange documents. It can paper type, coins or digital currency. For any money to increase from example one, there's a need to buy more money, now the idea of buying more money simply to savings and rents from source of income or business involved in. When you keep the policy of savings you're buying ideas of more money which power your future investment.

And secondly invest more money means applying the idea reinvestment, whatever comes your way after savings percentage be sure to increase your investment strength, the more the polling strength of capital organization the more the outcome of financial assets and investment.
I guess this is helpful, you can add your points let's keep learning.

All comes down to making more money from your job. If your job isn't paying you enough then either change your job, build your own business or get the second job. Either way, you will have to work a lot more and work efficiently which means you need to make more money per hour.

Let's say you are making $20/hour. If you work 16 hours every day for 30 days, you can make 9600. What can you do to increase this? Work 20 hours/day or make more than $20 per hour. Which one is more practical and possible?

Obviously you should increase your $20/house because everybody needs to sleep.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: March 04, 2023, 04:12:32 AM
Bitcoin and ethereum. The other alts don’t really deserve to be kept for the long term. Btc and eth however, they have proven themselves to be the best store of value cryptos. Why would I take any risk with the other shitcoins? I might lose my initial investment with these alts. If you think that’s impossible, then you are in a big surprise because it happens a lot more than you would think.

1136  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: March 03, 2023, 06:41:48 PM
You might want to rephrase the cryptocurrency part because I couldn’t understand it one bit.

But to answer your question — chances are, food wouldn’t be literally inaccessible. It’s just that food will end up being really really expensive in a food shortage, so if you can’t afford the surplus, you’re screwed.

So the solutions are obviously:

- Work hard and smart so you can continue affording food even if food becomes expensive.
- Try growing your own food.
Increase your income and increase your food resources, that way you will no longer feel food shortages as you have enough money to buy for them or you grow your own food that’s why foods are now very accessible at your own yard. But never expect that foods will be back to cheaper prices same before. There is endless inflation so expect that prices will grow every now and then.

Having more money works as long as food grows on the fields. If the amount of available food goes down, the prices go up. What happens if nobody grows any food? What happens if there isn't any food available for purchase? Then no matter how much money you got, you will get no food because there won't be any food for sale...

What then?

That's the problem with the current modern monetary system. Every time we encounter a problem, the solution is printing more money. Printing money requires no work unlike printing food. What happens if nobody wants to print food?

We die.
1137  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russophobia as a phenomenon on: March 03, 2023, 09:40:12 AM
I think we must fight against Russophobia because it not different than fascism. Why would people treat the Russians differently? They have eyes, noses and mouths like every other human being.

I am very saddened how these innocent Russians being treated in Europe. Is it a crime to be born Russian?

Europe should get its shit together and end their fascism against the Russians once and for all.

I have Russian friends, Georgian friends and Ukrainian friends. The "Russophobia" does not exist, is an invention of the Kremlin propagandists to justify their un-justifiable aggression. The world is not against Russians, it is against an illegal war waged by the current government and military ranks of the Russian Federation.

In war times, the enemy is the enemy and it is unclear who can potentially be a spy, so actors and others may of course be banned.

RE fascism and Europe, poverty attracts simple and wrong solutions to complex problems. Fascism is a simple and wrong solution that comes when people are disappointed with democracy.

It exists in this thread. Have you seen these 2 guys' posts?

This one says most Russians are violent and only bring misery.

It is phobia when the fear is irrational.

Fear of Russian genocidal maniacs is perfectly rational.
The vast majority of Russians are violent and aggressive. They hate Europeans and Americans.
Their culture consists of drinking, swearing, stealing, and most of all LYING.
Russkiy Mir only brings misery.

Read the other dude:

Yes, right! Russians must be deported! The fact is that most of them are young, and it is they who, as they have seen the advantage of democracy, should remove Putin.

Why would all the Russians deserve to be deported? Just because they are Russians? Where is the common sense in that?

Now tell me these guys ain't Russophobes. They are indeed.

Or are you telling me... these guys are Kremlin propagandists acting like Russophobes?

Maybe you are onto something. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if these 2 guys are hardcore Russians.  Cool

The last time Europe went full Hitler no good thing happened to them. Hopefully it won't happen again.

A wise man once said:

"The only way to get smarter, is by playing a smarter opponent."

What does that tell you?

It tells you that if you engage with, talk to, play with, make friends of smarter people than yourself, you can become a smarter person. And smarter people usually go to college. That's where you'll find them.

If you talk to dumb people, they will affect you in a bad way and in the end you will get dumber and dumber. Interacting with dumb people is like wrestling with a pig. The pig likes it even though both of you will get dirty.

Do you want to get dirty? Then you are a pig.

Also another smart man once said:

"Bulls make money, bears make money, pigs get slaughtered."

Do you want to get slaughtered?

Bruce Dickinson once said:

"Bring your daughter to slaughter."

Who the fuck would do that?
