1181  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Logo imperfection on: February 14, 2023, 04:06:49 AM
It is no imperfection. It is a backdoor to the blockchain put there by the devs. If you can manage to get the fitting key, you can access the source code of the Zio-I mean bitcoin but I don't recommend this because you may screw the balance of the universe. Think about all the children that will starve because their parents can't reach their coins.

Luckily for you, neither you nor any of us have to worry about that because these keys are in the safe hands, the bitcoin devs.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling safer than before ? on: February 14, 2023, 03:35:42 AM
What do you mean with "safer"? There are still lots of shady casinos out there scamming people. I wouldn't call this "safe". There are also good casinos with good reputation but not everybody is lucky enough to find them. For example 1xBet has a huge ad campaign everywhere, even in this forum and we all know that they are a scam casino. However, they still manage to attract customers and nobody can do anything about that.

I don't think we are in the "safe" zone and we will probably never be.
1183  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-02-11] Kazakhstan Law Limiting Crypto Miners’ Consumption of Electricity.. on: February 12, 2023, 04:39:52 PM
Bullish. This will raise the cost of mining bitcoin and probably will drive the prices upwards since the miners will have to sell from a higher price to cover their costs. On the other hand Kazakhstan is a very poor country. If every crypto miner makes a home there and use their electricity, that will drive the electricity prices up and the Kazakhs will have to deal with that. I guess it is time for the miners to move to the next cheapest country.
1184  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 12, 2023, 10:43:41 AM
The answer is "daily."

That's why I don't work for somebody. I do my own business and I get paid daily because I work every day. Why would anybody say "monthly" anyway? What about "yearly"?

The idea is, the more you wait to get paid, the more you get pwned by the inflation. Why would you agree to wait to get paid while everything goes up in price? The sooner you get paid, the better.

If "daily" isn't enough, try "hourly".
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do casino and sports betting platform owners gamble as much as other people? on: February 12, 2023, 07:30:14 AM
Farmers who have chickens for eggs especially on a large scale, easily get tired of eating the eggs from their chickens or even eggs in general. Caterers get tired of eating their own pastries, just as people who are exposed to certain produce get tired of them due to over exposure. Do you think this experience is the same for casino owners and owners of sports betting platforms?

Do you think that the owners of casinos and sports betting platform, gamble as much as other people do? If they gamble, do you think they gamble on their platform?

They probably don't unless they get rich first. That's because one can simply not get rich playing unless he fucks over the platform he is playing on. (in other words stealing from them) That's how gambling works. The casino wants your money and you want the casino's money. Somebody will have to bend.

If the casino owner plays with his own money (on somebody else's casino) he will lose that money to somebody else. The aim of the casino owner is making money and once they start making more and more, they will probably never ever think about playing because playing would mean losing.

1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright suing 16 Bitcoin developers on: February 12, 2023, 07:12:27 AM
Quote
Bitcoin Core developers work on the key software underpinning Bitcoin, focusing their efforts on a variety of improvements (privacy, security, user experience, etc.) at the base layer of Bitcoin. They are often volunteers who may sometimes accept funding grants or donations in support of their work.

Wright contends that Bitcoin developers can easily change the protocol's code in order to return the keys to those funds to him.

https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/02/03/craig-wrights-uk-case-against-16-bitcoin-developers-to-go-to-full-trial-report/

Is this guy retarded? Even if developers push in code updates that moves all the Satoshi coins to an address that Craig Wright controls, does he really expect the Bitcoin community to actually run the software? This must be the dumbest thing I've read in 2023.

Craig Wright is an attack vector, a virus, a trojan and he will do everything he can to bring bitcoin down. He is no dumb at all. Think about all the people he fucked over and  how he got his wealth, now think about what he can do with the assets he controls now.

He is probably one of the most serious threats bitcoin will ever face.

He stopped attacking the network as BSV already failed. Now he is attacking the devs because without the devs... who knows what would happen to btc...

^This Romanian senator says strange stuff about this incident but I can’t verify it since I don’t speak their language.

If the subtitles are right, she says this earthquake was just a planned act to reduce the world population further. The official numbers right now say there are about 20k dead people but I am guessing the real number will be around 200k when the counting is over.

Now I am thinking, why would a Romanian Senator lie about this? Or what is in it for her?

Strange times.
1188  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: February 11, 2023, 11:42:50 AM
According to various studies and world inequality report 2018, large portion of world's wealth is concentrated  in the hands of small portion of population, while the bottom 50% holds less than 2%. This distribution of wealth is highly unequal and cause of concern for many people, as it contributes to social and political unrest all over the world.

What governments can do to make it more equitable?

https://wir2018.wid.world/

Your numbers are way off probably. It is probably 95% - 5% or smth.

Even If what you said (or I said) was true, the govs simple can't do to fix this because there isn't anything to fix. The rich are getting richer because their ancestors did the right stuff, made the right investments and passed down their wealth to their children.

The poor is getting poorer because most of the time they are dumb as f. They shouldn't manufacture more children than they could afford and yet they do the exact opposite. While the rich make 2-3 kids at most, the poor manufacture 5-6 sometimes 10 children and they become poor like their parents too.

Why would the rich share their wealth with these dumb fucks?

Makes no sense.

The nature rewards smart people and punishes dumb people. Just like capitalism.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: February 11, 2023, 11:36:14 AM
DeSantis will probably support Trump and Trump is going o win, again. Kamala shouldn't even bother. She cannot win. Biden cannot win too. The dems are simply out of options here. If DeSantis runs, Trump will probably support him and another easy win for the Reps. No matter who runs for the dems, they are going to lose the upcoming elections.
1190  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 11, 2023, 10:24:10 AM
i have two very good domains and im trying to collect as much info as i can  about opening crypto gaming website that not require kyc and makes instant withdrawals.
First i was was thinking about bitcoin crash game only like bustabit but better, like adding bonuses and more crypto deposit and withdrawal options, more modem UI, But since im not a developer and can't write anything i want "like wake up in the morning and oh let's write best crypto exchange app" haha ,so i have to buy ready made script or hire developer and it would cost me thousands if not more

Later i stated to think about full casino scrip like win5x, but why my casino would be better than others? 0 reasons why. even Spribe Sales said that aviator game cost 5000eur + 3000eur every month, but casinos like cloudbet have 100s of these 3rd games, so that means to have some of these evolution, bgaming games i need to have prepared at least 150k usd + monthly payments ? i would prefer 0 monthly fee, just revenue % share with them
 Shocked

If you can't code your own casino, then don't even bother. If you are going to buy the script from someone else, then they will be ripping you off with the maintenance fees and they will be the secret partner of your business.

If you can code your own casino, then you must be a hell of a coder because you will attract all kinds of exploiters, hackers, cheaters and everytime you get hacked you will have to patch that shit up. Sometimes you won't even understand how they hacked your website and that's where your problems will start.

Long story short, I think it is not worth it.
1191  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 11, 2023, 09:05:01 AM
I just won another 5000rp from my wheel of fortune spins which I bought with my reward points  Cheesy
[]https://i.imgur.com/iVDNArA.png[/img]
At this point I feel like I am robbing the casino because these spins are literally +EV. Even the lottery tickets have value even though the chances to win the lottery is pretty slim but it is still there... You'll never know which is going to be your lucky week.
Also got a few 5000 lottery tickets and 5000 satoshi rewards before. I am simply making more than what I spent with these spins.

Another big win today from wof spins. My luck continues.  Grin I still don't understand how is freebitco.in making money from this. It is obviously working against their interests because they are giving so much for free.
If you check the seed the roll is 9994 which a rare as fuck roll.

MEGA WIN today. This is the first time I won a Golden Ticket from a WOF spin.

verify

I just checked its worth and I see that one GT is worth 25k sats wohooo. Even though chances of winning a lambo is pretty slim with only 1 ticket, in theory it is still there  Cool

Another interesting thing is, my roll was only 6672.
1192  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to sell bitcoin before the next bear market starts? on: February 10, 2023, 05:40:30 PM
Ok so this is a little down the road from here but assuming after the next halving and bitcoin goes into another bull run, when would be a good time to sell?i have already went through a couple of bull runs and bear markets but i didnt sell and take profits. I would like to sell before the next bear market to take profits this time.

So if bitcoin's cycles remain true, when roughly would be the start of the next bear market after the 2024 halving and bull run for a good time to sell. Can this be predicted somewhat? For all you TA guys when would be a good time to sell just to give me an idea? Thanks.

No one can know what the next peak price will be. You can't predict that. You can however, sell when you are in the green zone. You know what they say... "Nobody went broke taking profits." You may even sell at the bottom of the bear market and depending on when you bought your coins, it might still become a good trade. For example tho who bought their coins when btc was $1000, they are still more than x20 up. They may sell now and still can make a killing even though the price is pretty low from the ath.
1193  Economy / Gambling / Re: Own a profitable gambling site. Looking for investors on: February 10, 2023, 10:07:39 AM
You can do this on your website. Just have an option to invest, so some of the players will give you their funds to bankroll your casino. In return you will share your profits with the investors. Looking for investors on this forum usually not a good idea especially when you are a newbie. Nobody will trust you.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: The fear of global recession is real or just a speculation? on: February 10, 2023, 05:08:04 AM
There is much discussion in both the print and electronic media regarding the probability of global recession as a consequence of ongoing war in Ukraine, but I think unlikely to happen any time soon, even if it does, it is expected to be less severe than recession in 2007, as global GDP is still growing albeit at a slow rate. The real challenges for policy makers are growing debt, climate change and increasing frequency of natural disasters, such as earthquake, hurricanes and floods, which pose significant risk to world economy. These need to be addressed by global community urgently, in order to ensure a stable and thriving economy.

I think it is real. Haven't you seen what happened to the iphone sales?

Quote
Apple sales in biggest fall since 2019

Apple sales dropped at the end of 2022 as shoppers squeezed by the rising cost of living cut back their purchases.

Sales at the iPhone giant fell 5% in the three months to December compared with the same period in 2021.

It was the biggest decline since 2019 and worse than expected.
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64506940

If that's not recession, then I don't know what is. Iphone is simply the best electronic device that everyone wants to buy but somehow people can't do that. That's because they have to pay for their rent, food, water etc and there isn't any money left to buy an iphone.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 09, 2023, 07:01:23 PM
Many times we are in a situation and we do not not realize the intensity of the problem. One such case is compulsive gambling. In simple words, it means that you are unable to control the urge to get involved with gambling even after understanding the potential harms associated with it.
Here are some signs of compulsive gambling :
1) Gambling related thoughts are always in your mind even when you are working on other activities
2) You keep increasing the gambling related money with each game
3) You try to gamble more in attempt to recover loss
4) Ignoring other important work like job just for gambling
Would you like to add to these signs ? Have you ever found yourself trapped in this situation and how did you get rid of this ?

5) Selling family relics to fund gambling habits
6) Travelling to other countries to play in a casino (it is because gambling is forbidden in his/her home country)
7) Coming up with new complex strategies to beat the house, reading articles about beating the house
Cool Watching poker games on youtube and envying them players.

You can come with a lot more.

A neighbor of mine lost his life savings while playing dice and then lost his car too while trying to recover his first loss.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1196  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [DONATION] A donation campaign for the natural disaster happened in Turkey on: February 09, 2023, 06:05:13 PM
Haluk Levent and the AHBAP team have been reliably running aid campaigns for years.  From the moment the earthquake happened, they continue to work to help them as much as they can.  We need to support them in this.  Too many people need help.  Thank you to everyone who helped.

There is a big aid campaign and everyone is trying to provide whatever is missing to the earthquake affected areas.  We can get through such difficult days with less pain only if we act together.

Haluk Levent and AHBAP are one of the most reliable and important persons and institutions in Türkiye. You can totally trust. For many years they have been trying to help every person in need, they always give support.
Unfortunately, Türkiye is going through very difficult times. People really need help right now. I'm sure there will be people who want to donate on the forum as well Smiley

I can vouch.

I also donated to AHBAP* and I recommend you NOT to donate to any other organisation because most people here don't trust the government organisations like Kizilay and AFAD. Kizilay (which is probably the most famous charity organisation in Turkiye) has a history of giving the donation money to another charity organisation (Ensar) which abused children, and AFAD has a manager which is simply not capable and possibly corrupted.

Only DONATE TO AHBAP.

*side note: Ahbap means "Dude" in Turkish.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how many times have you intended to stop gambling on: February 09, 2023, 06:27:08 AM
Never. I mean I was never addicted to gambling in the first place so stopping myself was never an issue. It is all about your self control. The moment you lose that you can become addicted to anything. Alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling, computer games... Any of those bad habits can hurt you financially if you are not careful with what you are doing. I still gamble but I never ever risk big money. It is because if I lose that money that would make me very upset. I would rather use that money to invest in something which is far more productive thing to do.
1198  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 08, 2023, 01:55:58 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.

Depends on saving your money in which assets. If you are saving assets like stocks, real estate, land, commodities etc then you have nothing to worry about. Especially real estate and stocks are capable of producing passive income they are pretty much the best choices when it comes to making investments. Crypto and other commodities are good choices too. You can make outrageous returns with crypto especially. What are you going to do with your money if you are not going to invest them anyway? Spend all? That's not wise unless you are retired.
1199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VIDEO: Thousands killed in Turkey, Syria following massive quake that struck... on: February 07, 2023, 08:08:34 PM
I don’t believe that crap.

This was a natural disaster. Scientists have been warning the people all the time but greedy homebuilders and mayors didn’t listen. They kept building shitty weak houses and the inspectors approved these projects because they were also being bribed.

Greed and corruption killed these people. Not the US or any other thing.

Unfortunately for Turkiye, we have lots of greedy and corrupt people.
1200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Bitcoin? openAI ChatGPT edition on: February 07, 2023, 07:02:18 PM
AI is making humans too lazy. On the other side, saving time and assisting with any study. Particularly if you want to know something historical like Bitcoin can provide you with some information. But there's always the worry that the information might not be accurate to the letter. because AI is created by humans, as are data inputs. AI can reply with knowledge that has been recorded. No guarantee of accurate information. Soon, AI will pose a threat to humanity.

That's true to a certain degree but being able to use AI is also not that easy. Most people use AI as a simple chat bot asking stupid simple questions like "how to make money?" etc... When you ask a very complicated question and describe exactly what you want, then AI simply amazes you. What I am telling you is that those who can use AI perfectly in a very professional way, they already know how to get what they want without AI anyway. Stupid people on the other hand, will never be as successful even when they use AI.
