1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, tourism and legal gambling age for gamblers around the world. on: October 01, 2022, 04:26:25 AM
My country is not on the list because it is illegal to gamble unless the games are provided by the government. (which are crappy lotto games and sports betting with shitty rates) So it is a big no no if you are going to come to Turkey for this purpose.

Most countries won't let you gamble unless you are above 18 years old that's a pretty common rule I see. Makes sense because they also won't let you drink alcohol, smoke cigs or bang hookers neither unless you become a grown up.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 30, 2022, 10:05:24 AM
You are a core gambler,I mean you have a reserved or particular time that you use in gambling everyday, just the way some of us are,we even add gambling expenses to our monthly budget because we gamble to entertain ourselves.
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?

I already did long time ago. I used to be a degenerate gambler and then I realized that I was losing too much money. I decided to stop and I did it. Now I am not losing that much money. Occasionally I still play but not like how it used to be. If you think your habits are harming you then it means you need to put an end to those habits. Otherwise you will just harm yourself and your loved ones.
1503  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: September 30, 2022, 03:58:02 AM
Sorry If this is not the place to post this.

Did anyone have any experience with mrSloty.com?
there are a lot of sportbook markets, but cannot find to much info about that bookie.

All I found is that the withdrawals takes a lot of time, bout 14-20 days

If it takes that long to withdraw your money then this itself is good reason for you to stay away from this casino. There is bo excuse for a payment delay like that. Especially when there are casinis like freebitco.in which pays you instantly and automatically. Why even waste  your time there? They should get their shit together or wlse they will go bankrupt. Don’t be a victim.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Three questions for old crypto fans on: September 30, 2022, 03:55:03 AM
Is it normal to invest in projects that VC's invested money on?  And also can we see another top project in the rank of 1 to 20 failed like that of Luna? For those who have been here since 2016 do new altcoins always replace the present top 20 altcoins every crypto cycle?

1- depends

2- Possible. Iota used to big in top 10 and now it is pretty small. It happened before and it will certainly happen again. Altcoins come and go all the time.

3- So far it did. Somehow eth didn’t get replaced but the others lost their spot in top 10 with every new cycle.
1505  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: September 29, 2022, 01:23:38 PM
I'm curious if 1Xbit or similar scam sites have a license from somewhere.

I don't see 1xBit on the list and I guess it's because it's a known scam site, but I wouldn't rule out that certain scam sites are able to get a license from somewhere to keep up appearances. Or it is common to scam sites not to have a licence?

It shouldn't, if it is proven to run fraudulent practices then no license will dare to support it, in addition the Licensor is threatened with being sued
If you talk about 1xBit then you should read the case of 1xBet wikipedia similar name and similar case but I don't want to assume. I will avoid sites like this and also alert my community to avoid it.

They claimed to have a license, but with their reputation, the license is just useless if I would choose to gamble. There are plenty of sites I believe that have a license but with a bad reputation, maybe gamblers do not sue them but due to the evidence from the accusers, the community tagged them as a bad gambling sites.

Exactly. Having a license don't make a casino a honest one. In fact most scammy casinos have licenses from those Caribbean countries. (One of them was Curaçao?) The casino needs a gambling license only if they are accepting FIAT money from their customers. If they don't deal with FIAT, a casino license is completely worthless. Having a good reputation beats a gambling license by a lot and you can gain good reputation only by treating your customers fairly which 1xbit fails at doing.
1506  Economy / Goods / Re: Make charging your EV a passive income on: September 28, 2022, 11:01:58 AM
I don't want to be offensive BUT why a person will pay 0.28 BTC for an unknown software will place in your car's ECU? Also even it's legitimate you need to charge your 180W battery for at least 280 times for ROI.

This looks so suspicious...

Not only suspicious, it don't make any sense financially. This is another form of cloud mining scam, it will only make the software developer rich and everybody else will get poorer. Mining itself even isn't the most sensible business in the first place anyway. If you want to make money from crypto, just buy and hold. You will have less headache. Leave mining to big boys. This will only distract you.
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is a creeping beast on: September 28, 2022, 04:41:26 AM
Inflation is a necessity. Inflation is rising because the human population is expanding. Manufacturing new babies has no cost just like printing new paper money. The resources on the other hand are limited. Food, shelter, water, social activities, education, healthcare… Not everybody can access those services because there is not enough resources to provide them to everyone at an affordable price. The solution, like it always was, increasing the money supply and make it a little more expensive for everybody.

The other solution is reducing the human population to a healthy level but I don’t think it will happen any time soon.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why is difficulty still very high on: September 27, 2022, 05:09:51 AM
The difficulty is very high because there is big demand. Lots of people want a piece from this action, so the piece everyone gets becomes smaller. I don't think it is too late to sell GPU's though. If you are done with mining then sell. Why wait? GPU's lose their intrinsic value over time regardless of the price anyway. In every 2 years, there will be a better designed GPU which renders obsolete the previous generation. If you ROI'd your investments then there isn't anything to think about. Sell and forget.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 04:29:06 AM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.

If he/she is someone playing for fun then I don't think it is anybody's business. If he/she is a gambling addict then this is another story. An addict will play these games excessively and lose everything he/she does in the end. His car, house, marriage (if he has one), his retirement funds... A person like that can't teach the children anything meaningful because his mind always be at the casino and won't be able to focus on the subject which he was teaching.
1510  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Open source wallet and closed source wallet discussion on: September 27, 2022, 04:22:03 AM
We all appreciate open source wallets, they are the best around but have we ever thought that being closed source is security? If Binance Trust wallet could be a closed source maybe they did this because they don't want malicious people to find out how they run things which could make their wallet become a target?

If you can't see how things are running (coding) wouldn't that make it harder to attack such code or network?

open source says > see this is how we run things, we are transparent and we have nothing to hide

Closed source says > we don't want you to see how we run the codes, you can target us or something

You can get scammed by either of them if you are not careful with what you are doing. However, opensource will act like a safety belt in most situations preventing the dev from doing silly stuff. With the closedsource wallets, you simply have no idea what is going on behind the scenes and this is China we are talking about. They will collect and use every information about you. They may not steal your funds directly but they will find a way to make up for it.
1511  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is your casino profile looks like? on: September 24, 2022, 03:06:45 PM
Favorite Casino: Freebitco.in
Wagered amount: $100
Profit: $5
Most played games: Dice
Biggest win : $5
Biggest loss in one game: $2
Average bet size: 1$

I guess I am not the biggest risk taker out there. I played on other casinos before too but this is the casino I've been recently playing at so I posted my stats there.  Grin
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i get banned for Card Counting in online casinos? on: September 24, 2022, 02:15:38 PM
Card counting is not illegal, but in real life casinos people get kicked from casinos for this action, and casinos really hate people using this methods because it gives some advantage to the users.

If you don't know how card counting works you can read this explanation from fiulpro:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5273810.0

Or you can watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjfLuM-Pqr8

Here the question is, have you ever seen a user getting banned from an online casino for card counting?

To be clear, card counting isn't a method to always win, it's just a method to have better odds.

I don't think they can ban you for this. How is they gonna know if you counted cards anyway? That's not even possible. Even if it was, they wouldn't know it so I say you will be fine. Like you said it don't make you always win and you shouldn't count on it too much. If this was making you win automatically this game wouldn't have existed at all because anybody with this ability would clear out the casino.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CZ claimed Layer 2 isn't really needed yet on: September 24, 2022, 07:31:49 AM
Investors and traders are riding those things and not just CZ knows and understands this thing. But on this market, when there seems to be a genius idea, they're using it for them to use so that more investors and traders would come by to their projects.

Of course they will do that. I mean d'uh, CZ owns a crypto casin... I mean crypto exchange d'uh. Traders, hypers are his bread and butter. The more hype people generate, the more they trade. The more they trade, no matter if they make or lose money, CZ will be making money in anyway.

I don't even think CZ gives a shit about crypto or fully understands it. This is the man who tried to rewind the bitcoin blockchain. All he wants is the commissions.
1514  Economy / Economics / Re: UK Under Recession, Inflation Hitting World Strong Economies on: September 24, 2022, 07:28:12 AM
UK has always been living on a life support anyway. Look at their stocks market FTSE100, there is barely anything interesting happening there. It is so dull.

Almost every company there doing oil, health, mining, tobacco, telecom etc. Having these companies isn't that bad but no new tech is emerging in the UK anymore and they have lots of debt to cover which is bad. The US is just like the UK but they have these fancy giant companies like Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Meta, Netflix etc... Even though some of these companies are pretty shit, they are still giants and attract lots of investors to the US stock market. The UK don't have anything similar.
1515  Other / Meta / Re: Attaining legendary rank - is that the end? on: September 24, 2022, 07:20:46 AM
Can we conclude that not all legendaries are knowledgeable in the forum? I myself was scared to answer or quote legendaries when I initially joined the forum.

Definitely not all the legendary accounts are Gandalfs. You shouldn't be afraid of anyone in the forum anyway. If you think something is right or wrong, then just say it. The forum protects the freedom of speech very well. You will get ignored probably but nobody will put a flag on you or give you a negative trust just because you spoke your mind. (That's it unless it is not some weird shit like murdering people, CP or selling drugs you get the idea)
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: September 24, 2022, 07:16:25 AM
If you think that way, anything you do in your life can become gambling.

Starting a business: Gambling. Lot's of shit can go wrong and you can lose your investment.
Getting a college degree: Gambling. The degree you will get can become obsolete in the future. You will lose your time and money which you invested in that paper.
Getting married: Gambling. If you have a bad wife/husband, that will ruin you both financially and emotionally. Risky move.
Buying a used car: Gambling. It might drive well for a week and then can crap on you.

So trading can become gambling as well...
1517  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 24, 2022, 04:57:17 AM
FUN token price is below $0.0075 ($0.00735376 at this moment), which changes a lot in betting. The main range ($0.007501 - $0.01, odds 1.34) which was for a long time "sure bet" is not longer "valid". The second one ($0.005001 - $0.0075, odds 3.00) has so far only 28% bets.
3 days left, time weight multiplier is x13 - time to bet on it?

It is actually mind blowing that a shitcoin like FUN is holding against the dollar better than the GBP and EUR. According to Binance FUN lost 0.8% against the dollar in the last 24 hours and GBP lost 3.54%. Euro is down 1.48% vs the USD. Maybe people in the Europe should dump GBP and EUR and switch to FUN instead which seems to be a lot more stable then their currencies.

By the way, if this bet is not valid anymore than it means it wasn never a "sure bet" in the first place. Just my 3 fiddy.
1518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can someone explain to me why did ETH drop after the merge? on: September 23, 2022, 01:33:37 PM
By the rumors, sell on the news. This is what trading about. Now the hype is gone, there is no more reason left for it to go up especially when everything is bearish, eth is not an exception. Everything is going down against the dollar. Gold, stocks, crypto, other foreign currencies... Eth isn't something something special so it is going down too. The merge probably had little effect on the price anyway. I don't think so many people cared about it in the first place.
1519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fundamental or Technical Analyst. Which one are you? on: September 23, 2022, 08:37:49 AM
Technical analysis is fortune telling. It is crap. More than that, it is a scam. You can't tell anything about the future by looking at the charts that happened in the past. It is gambler's fallacy. Just because you lost 20 times, doesn't mean you are going to win the 21st game. It is always about the fundamentals. If the fundamentals are crap, the rest has no meaning at all. The price can go up and down just because somebody wanted it to. It don't have to make any sense.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: September 23, 2022, 04:44:57 AM
I think AR/VR will never replace the real world. Check Meta’s stock price it is going down into toilet. People are simply not interested in this shit. I know I am not. Some people will try it out eventually but Zuck made a bug mistake with changing the corporate’s name in to Meta imo and we can see the effects on the price of the stock. Right now MeTa is the (or one of the) cheapest social media stock there is and it is being priced like it is going bankrupt. That should give you an idea .
