Newbies to the forum usually have a certain perspective of how things work and can easily feel frustrated if certain discussions come off as too harsh to them or if they are not getting any merits despite their perceived efforts. Lots of this comes down to how they were introduced to the forum and what they expect from it;
Those who are here to learn would likely not feel to attached and would take it as just another forum where they discuss Bitcoin.
Those who were told you come in hear to earn would be more desperate and are more likely to feel frustrated.

Quite an unfortunate situation to come up so early in the year when most have lots of bills to settle.

Everyone would have an conjectures on the matter, whether or not the truth is being told or if someone is being dishonest and whichever way you swing you could have a point.

On the side of julerz, this would be such a silly way to try to make away with user funds. I would expect an experienced user to come up with a better conspiracy theory which would be well thought out and have fewer loopholes in the story.
Besides this we can only take him by his reputation on the forum. As ridiculous as the story could be, it could also be true.

On the flip side, there are so many questions to ask about how it happened and what other funds besides that of the two campaigns in question were stolen. Cause a hack is likely going to affect other funds held on that wallet.

For now all we can do is watch and wait. julerz12 has hinted at paying the lost funds and coinomize has expressed understanding as long as the situation gets straightened out eventually. That's a positive step and shows the issue can be resolved fully.
Hopefully we see some action towards that commitment in the coming week (the earlier the better it is to show your willingness to fix the issue), this would ease some nerves of the parties involved.

Julerz12, it could all be overwhelming right now, but take some time to cool off as emotions would be running wild atm. Mistakes happen and we have no option but to learn from them. After a day or two, you would have more clarity and can return to some level of normalcy and work out a plan with the other parties.

Being decentralized alone or presenting to be so does not make a wallet recommendable or a good option to use.

Coinbase has a non custodian wallet, and wants everyone to believe that it's your keys and your coins without any interfering from them, but the wallet happens to be closed source and it is impossible to verify if coinbase does anything behind the scenes, like keeping backups or pre generated keys.

A non custodian wallet should ideally be open source and verifiable.

Imo, there's no "until" clause in that advice, if you're going to be your own bank then you have to take responsibility of the actions you take and the consequences of those actions. As a matter of fact, the more knowledge and experience you get, the more averse you should get to the idea of giving up custody of your assets.

The surface risk is that of stolen, seized or hacked funds. But there is a whole privacy risk where users can have their personal information sold to government agencies or unverified ones, there can also be a privacy breach where malicious actors can get hands on your information and use that to try to create personalized scam attempts.

For the serious discussion board; you need to be at least a Jr member with one merit,
For Ivory tower child board, you need to be at least full member.
Investigations child board also has restrictions for low ranked members.

There's no amount that is too small to invest in Bitcoin, you just need to hold long enough. And when you steadily DCA you should eventually get enough Bitcoin that would be substantial to hodl.
Bitcoin does not only pay off after a "one time big cash investment", small, regular investments have the same effect and is very useful for those that do not have a large chunk of money stores away.

Be careful about lists posted by random links. The website you shared puts bitpay as the top option for a crypto payment processor, and with my little research on it, that cannot be further from the truth and I would advise that you avoid using them.

The idealistic reply would be not to look at Bitcoin solely as an asset to be exchanged to give real world value (fiat), but also as a possible currency which allows one to spend privately and through a decentralized means.
