181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: wallet on: April 10, 2024, 03:25:53 PM
i write down properly from 1 to 12 since june 2023 and i open it ago and may be some some issue in google
What issue with Google?

Maybe you should delete the wallet, download and install it again and input the seed phrase to know if it will work. You can also try it on other wallet and check if it works or not.

If the seed phrase is also invalid on the other wallets, that means you imported invalid seed phrase. Maybe you do not get some words accurately. Check your backup again.
182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost become a millionaire on: April 10, 2024, 03:12:15 PM
In the year 2010,my best friend introduce me to cryptocurrency and he advice me to invest in bitcoin. I felt bitcoin was another ponzi scheme created by scammers to scam innocent people. Today my friend is a multi Millionaire. If only I had listened to his advice,I would have become a millionaire by now.
In 2010. But how about years after? Like 2015, 2016 or 2020? Bitcoin price was still around $16000 in 2022. I hope you later invested? Or your still doubted?

I like what pooya87 posted that have you learned from your past mistake?

Just know that if you think of your bad past, it can only hurt you more without giving you anything good in return. Forget the past and believe there is hope in the future.
183  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: We Regret Voting Tinubu – Northern Elders on: April 10, 2024, 12:32:26 AM
Does this sound more like politics or economy? I see this more as politics as I did not see any reason mentioned reflected towards economy, not to talk of any good reason mentioned.

This is just the beginning, una Neva see something
I do not think a Nigerian that will 'say this is just the beginning' is living or know what is happening in Nigeria.

What I do not like about Tinubu time is how naira increase in value but local products remain expensive or becoming more expensive. The government manipulated naira price. There is still inflation in Nigeria as naira increase in value. But world bank said there will be decrease in food price before 2024 is over.

What we need is a stable economy.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I was hacked today and all my bitcoin was stolen on: April 10, 2024, 12:04:12 AM
What happened? How did you lose your coins? On the history tab, have you seen the coin moved to a wrong address? Explain better.
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using testnet as a security option. on: April 09, 2024, 12:30:48 PM
Have you read about the plausible deniability on Bluewallet?

Plausible deniability
A feature thinking about your personal security. BlueWallet allows you to define a different password which will decrypt a "fake" wallet set up. For any situation where you are forced to disclose your access or for when you don't want to show your real wallet.

Also have you heard about duress mode on Unstoppable wallet? Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences}. It is a good feature also. With the duress mode, you can give different wallets different password and that will be the only wallet that will be seen. I mean the wallet that you enter its password will only be seen despite that you have more wallets on the Unstoppable app.

There is another feature on Sparrow wallet. It will require you to enter your password first and then followed by passphrase. If you enter a wrong passphrase, it will give you different keys and addresses. The only time you will be able to access your coins is when you enter the correct passphrase. I prefer Sparrow wallet.

Testnet bitcoin is completely different from mainnet and ranochigo is correct about this.
186  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help Needed with a Stuck Transaction on: April 09, 2024, 11:11:04 AM
How long would it take to be confirmed by it self do you recon ?
Maybe till tomorrow. But it depends if the mempool become less congested.

But I can see the mempool fee rate increasing. If you need the coin very fast. If it is a noncustodial wallet, you can just send the unconfirmed coin or part of it to a new address on your wallet and use something like 28 sat/vbyte for the new transaction. For the two transactions (the transaction you are especting the coin and the transaction you want to use spend the unconfirmed coin), that would be around 20 sat/vbyte for each.

If your wallet do not support spending unconfirmed transaction, import your seed phrase on Electrum to do it.
187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help Needed with a Stuck Transaction on: April 09, 2024, 10:45:54 AM
What can I do that's a cheap option ?
The fee rate that the sender used is 12.927 sat/vbyte. The mempool high fee priority presently is 14 sat/vbyte. If you can just wait, it will be better.

You can use child-pay-for-parent if it is sent to your noncustodial wallet, but no need of wasting money in fee. Wait.
188  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help Needed with a Stuck Transaction on: April 09, 2024, 10:34:43 AM
Which wallet did you use? Is it having RBF? What is the fee rate that you used? I mean in sat/vbyte? Or you can give us your txid if you are not bothered of people knowing about it just as mocacinno posted already.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: It could be possible create a safe wallet with a Chromebook? on: April 09, 2024, 07:51:36 AM
I have used it, but there are just some slight functional limitations on the android app vs. the PC. For example, the PC version allows you to manually type in the fee rate in sats per vbyte while the android app does not have that option.
Not just slight. There are a lot of features desktop Electrum has that mobile Electrum do not have. Another is that you can not make use of console on mobile Electrum. Another is that you can not sign a message on mobile Electrum. Another is message encryption which is not available on mobile Electrum. During wallet setup, you can not make use of slip 39 on mobile Electrum. You can only freeze address on mobile Electrum while not able to freeze the UTXOs which is possible on desktop Electrum. You can not backup your file on mobile Electrum but you can do the backup be it encrypted or not encrypted on desktop Electrumn etc.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: It could be possible create a safe wallet with a Chromebook? on: April 08, 2024, 09:47:32 PM
here, (of course) the first question I asked myself... can I create a secure wallet using this machine?
Online devices are not that secure. Use it for small amount of coins.

I have seen there is an electrum version dedicated to android, have you ever tried to use it?
I am using it sometimes and it is similar to desktop Electrum in a way that if you can use desktop Electrum, you will be able to use the mobile Electrum..

Do you know any tutorials or tips to complete this operation?
I do not know of any tutorials but to setup this is very similar to desktop Electrum.
191  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Reasons why we still no dey use E-naira after 2yrs of introduction on: April 08, 2024, 02:39:24 PM
Go to supermarket or shopping mall and ask if you can pay with eNaira. In my town, I have not seen one of them accept eNaira. If the government failed to let business support it, that was the start of the failure.

Is eNaira wallet better than Moniepoint, Opay, Kuda, Palmpay which are payment system for naira? No. Why should you use eNaira wallet and not use those apps for payment? No reasons. So where will the adoption come from?

Most importantly do not plagiarize nor spam. It is better you read what established members with good merits are posting than you posting for now.

This would be useful:

194  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Unable to Send Bitcoin because there showing "Insufficient balance" on: April 08, 2024, 08:37:19 AM
I have downloaded electrum from there official website. then selected "standard wallet" > "I already have a seed" > entered "12 phrase key of blockchain" > selected "BIP39" because my Blockchain DeFI Wallet started with "bc1" > created password" but still balance is still in the blockchain account and not being transferred from blockchain to electrum. I need help very badly. please
But did you select native segwit (p2wpkh)? Just as I selected it as you can see in the image below:

The BIP39 means the seed phrase is not Electrum seed phrase but BIP39 seed phrase. So that should be the reason that you selected it. For bc1, select native segwit (p2wpkh) and not any of the other two.
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain.com BTC wallet available funds issue on: April 08, 2024, 07:34:10 AM
Import your seed phrase on Electrum and you should be able to spend your coins.

Know that the wallet is close source. It would be good if you later created new seed phrase on Electrum and stop using Blockchain.com wallet.

Official Electrum download site: https://electrum.org/

The derivation path for bc1 addresses is Segwit P2WPKH.
196  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed transactions for about 3 weeks-use electrum don't see unconfirm tran on: April 08, 2024, 06:46:47 AM
If the transaction has dropped from mempool, you will still be able to see it on Electrum and if you click on it, you can spend the coin in a new transaction.

Because a node has dropped your transaction, that does not mean the receiver will not still see it as an unconfirmed transaction because some nodes will still have the transaction unless the coin has been spent in another transaction.
197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not forget your Bitcointalk account password!!! on: April 08, 2024, 06:43:12 AM
So tell me if you have had such experience of not being able to login to your Bitcointalk forum account due to password issues, and how did you feel about it. Let's discuss.
I will go for password reset which will be through a link sent me through email. I have written my password several times to the extent that I may not forget it. Although, I should not rely on memory and that makes me have the password backup somewhere. The password is strong enough against hacking and I use only the official forum link to login and not a hacker's link.
Am beginning to think that you don't get the point boss.
The OP is trying to say he used an email that he has no access to (which means his email was compromised or lost access). So I believe when you don't have an access to your Bitcointalk email and you forgotten you password you can reset it because you are logged out from Bitcointalk, so both the reset password link will be sent to the email that you don't have access to.
However it's hard to get it back that's why it's always good to recheck our personal things (mostly from internet) so as to be sure if they are safe or not).
Read the OP again. Read what I quoted and you will understand what I mean. I understood what I posted and understood what OP posted. And it is valid to post about password reset via email and also to backup your password somewhere. Anyone that is not able to to have access to his password and also not able to have access to the email used is just careless with his account. Although, staked bitcoin address might be helpful to regain back his account.
198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unable to send money in blockchain.com on: April 07, 2024, 07:20:03 PM
@OP, I feel your frustration; this kind of issue is not usually very appealing. I will suggest you just logout or delete the app, re-download it, import your wallet, and try to carry out the withdrawal again, or you can use the method recommended by @hosseinimr93, download electrum and import your wallet, and try to see if the withdrawal can work.
Can you not read this:

Thanks alot guys, I have successfully regained access to the funds, by importing the wallet to Electrum. Lesson learned, won't be using blockchain.com again  Smiley

And this which is just the post before yours:

Due to obvious reasons, blockchain.com and any other web wallet should be avoided, but it should be mentioned that blockchain.com wallet is non-custodial and it gives you full access to your private keys.

OP's issue has been already solved and he/she now has access to the fund.

No need of using a close source wallet. It is even a web wallet which is not also that safe.
199  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Dont Buy a second hand phone from people you dont know on: April 07, 2024, 03:25:44 PM
Buying second hand phone no dey advisable because you can't tell where the phone is coming from. Many people don enter problem by buying second hand phone that was a stolen one. Apart from second hand phone been a stollen one sometimes e fit be phone wey dey very faulty and buying it to use will cause lot of stress repairing the phone always. The issues that comes with a second hand phone is very complicated.
The reason some people buy second hand phone is because they do not have the money to buy a new phone. Second hand phones are cheap. But it would be better to buy a used phone from a phone seller instead. OP is right because he said buying it from an unknown person. If I know a person very well and I do not have enough money to buy a new phone, I can buy phone from the person especially if he wants to get a new one and want to sell his phone. But if the person that want to sell phone is not known, that is not a good idea. But you are also right that second hand phone can not be good as new but not everyone can afford new phone of certain specifications that they want.
200  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My experience on: April 07, 2024, 10:52:03 AM
Coinbase.com is not a noncustodial wallet but a custodial wallet. But there is a noncustodial wallet that Coinbase also has but which I can not also recommend anyone.

For small amount, you can use Electrum or Sparrow.

For big amount, you can use Passport or Trezor. If you have an old laptop that you are no more using, you can use it to setup airgapped device and have cold wallet on it.
