1161  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA development board "Lancelot" - official discussion thread. on: June 14, 2012, 02:38:09 AM
The answer is,  Icarus can run Lancelot's first bitstream, but at a lower speed. This is a final upgrade for Icarus system.
Due to lack of some hardware features, Icarus can not run Lancelot 's future bitsteams.

As I was too lazy to read the entire thread....

Is there any chance you could update the first post to summarize a production update ?
Current 'development' speeds, power consumption etc ?
Projected shipping date(s) for batches etc ?

Thanks and I am looking forward to this.

Sorry guys. I wasn't feeling too hot today and am just logging in for the first time now since last night.

I will reply to ALL PMs in the next little while, so know that I am not avoiding everyone.

As I just woke up again, I will just grab a quick snack and get back on to replying etc.

thanks again for all who replied to me in 1 way or another.

Lmao, I love how you came to my thread. Mad about the post I made on your exchange thread? Learn to take a joke, it was a poke at the fact that you said you were on a lot of people's ignore list.

I thought I was on your Ignore List ?.

You guys like hounding me? Go hound this guy.....

Odd choice of words. 'Hounding' you....as in hound, dog, doggie-style, sex with your father ? - I get it now.

Has everyone finished **hounding Liberty Payout's Dad ?

It's really too bad that this thread died off, as I believe that many of us still have so much love **hounding to give.

*RESERVED*
1167  Economy / Lending / FUNDED: 600 BTC Loan on: June 12, 2012, 10:55:17 PM
Please see my Forum Credit History here, for anyone not familiar with it:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67666

I am looking for a 600 BTC Loan that fits the following 'specs' and offer(s):
- Lending term of up to 6 months.
- Daily/Weekly payments allowable, but for simplicity, interest calculated only once per month (in favor of Lender and less paperwork.)
- Minimum Payment guarantee to borrower of 10% of Current/Relevant Principal + 100% of Monthly Interest, every month.
- Option to Repay Early once my mining proceeds increase.
- Single Lending 'Entity/Group' or Single Lender (single repayment destination)
- Fair MPR% based on my previous credit performance and investment in BTC and the community as a whole.

Please PM or post here with Interest Rate Offer(s) based on the above offer/info.

The reason that I am seeking this loan is to help secure a better position for myself, anticipating the upcoming Mining Reward Halving in 7-odd months, so that I am able to stay 'relevant' and still a viable producer of BTC by way of mining.

I am currently running approx 10GH/s at my farm here at home, which at THAT speed is slightly lowered (approx -1.0+Gh/s) to help with heat over the course of the summer months.

I just don't want to wait till the last minute to get all of my ducks in a row, as we all know about the reward changes.
Again, in the end....I just want to 'maintain' the best I can and stay as relevant/profitable as I can.

I may very well be one of the most ignored users on the forum, thanks to my 'abrasive' posts and views at times, but one thing I am also is, HONEST.
I hope that my track record in regards to financial matters speaks for itself and continues to do so.

With my 1-Year BTCTalk.org Forum Anniversary just around the corner (July 18, 2011 join date), I would hope that potential Lenders also take that into consideration to further show my will to stick around and stay LONG BTC Wink

thanks to all who take the time to read this and/or post/PM an offer to fill my request,
bitlane.

I saw this error when downclocking memory too far..

How far down is too far ?

I am running 300Mhz Mem Clocks on 15 7970s and have not had a problem...
A small performance loss, but the power (and heat) savings more than makes up for it.

CGMiner 2.4.2 (for GPU Clock control and mining, of course), using Afterburner for MEM Clocks and Voltage Control.

This is simply a copy/paste from my monitoring app, with proper voltage levels added for reference.

Today (when I took this copy/paste selection above) has been the hottest day this year, for my miners...I am sweating, just standing in front of them yet they are hardly breaking a sweat.....
1169  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: What is Intensity & Best Intensity Settings? (5830, 5850, 6870 and 7970) CGMine on: June 12, 2012, 02:46:57 AM
Those are the best settings for Intensity on a DEDICATED Windows Miner....no need for fine tuning.

For a Desktop Miner that you also surf/play/work on, I suggest using DYNAMIC (D) Intensity.

Mining using CGMiner on Win7 x64 Rigs, I use the following Intensity for the same cards you listed:

5830 - 8
5850 - 8
6870 - 8
7970 - 9

Speaking for the ModMiner Quad I can tell you the how and why of our shipping times

We have an excellent relationship with our parts distributors and PCB board fabricators and right now we have a decent stock of PCB boards

From what I have seen since your product launched, you have a GOOD relationship with everyone, including potential buyers.

In all honesty, if I could get your FPGAs @ $1/Mh/s without having to depend on 'future' bistreams etc, I would be ordering immediately, although as I mentioned, the way that you guys are currently doing business is VERY attractive all on it's own (from what I have seen around the forum) and THAt alone could very well be the deciding factor for me ....sooner than later.

Keep up the good work and forward momentum Wink

Nice Wink

I have done successful business with David_Benz and at no point have I had any reason to think he was a scammer.
I am also currently looking to do MORE business with him....if that helps.

Matthew, as you would suggest to me (or have suggested to me in the past), perhaps you are jumping the gun a bit here ?

Anyway, D_B, good luck in finding your loan. I am sure you shouldn't have any problems considering your track record.

1175  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Algorithmically placed FPGA miner: 245MH/s/chip and still rising on: June 10, 2012, 01:28:42 AM
Bitcoin core software = free software
Bitcoin mining software = free software
This bitstream = non-free software built on the backs of free software

That's my problem with it. Without Bitcoin, this bitstream is worthless. But I don't hear eldentyrell splitting his manditory mining-tax with the upstream developers that made this all possible.

How about it eldentyrell? How much of your mining-tax are you sending back upstream to benefit the Bitcoin/Mining developers?

I don't understand why people are getting their panties in a bunch about this.

You have the choice to either USE it or NOT use it.

Considering this improvement is going to increase mining income for everyone who chooses to use it, why can't the developer also increase HIS income ?

As an aside....
Pirate@40 currently generates approx 10% income directly off the backs of everyone who CHOOSES to mine at GPUMAX (when mining shares are sold and public work becomes available, that is).
Using your (skewed at best) reasoning, shouldn't you be praying for HIS downfall ? or perhaps all of the miners that are currently making 20% or greater profits mining, while CHOOSING to use GPUMAX ?
Your 'free software' soap-box spiel applies far more to something such as GPUMAX than it does to the licensing/income model that will be implimented for the OPTIONAL USE of this Bitstream.

Step 1.
CHOOSE

Step 2.
STFU and collect your mining rewards.

Also, as far as a per-FPGA licensing model, for direct sale to end users ?
You can be sure that everyone who decides to purchase (if this retarded pricing model WAS available) would suddenly find themselves only running a FRACTION of the hardware they were prior to purchasing....LMAO
Suddenly, EVERYONE only has but a SINGLE FPGA to purchase the Bitstream license for....LOL

This licensing model is FAIR. As far as another dependency or point of failure (LMAO) The Developer has EVERY incentive to keep his side of the 'operation' running, otherwise, he makes NOTHING.

EVERYONE is here to increase their financial holdings in 1 way or another, so calling the Developer of this bitstream GREEDY is nothing more than the Pot calling the Kettle...well, you know.

Again, CHOICE is a great thing. FTW !

Anyone who cries about this is clearly retarded.
1176  Other / Off-topic / Re: FPGA Shipping on: June 09, 2012, 08:08:40 PM
The ModMiner has started shipping - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79637.0 - tho I think they state two to four weeks shipping?

I do dig the ModMiner, but I am not a big fan of the price.

I do however see this hardware making a decent dent in the market if they can ship in under a week, even at current or similar pricing.

I am considering the ModMiner, but like everyone, I still have that 'BFL Lump' or taste of disgust in the back of my throat with their great prices and announcements of great performance, but at the cost of shitty shipping times and required cash up front for an unknown time.

BFL is killing the 'fair' market with promises and continue to raise people's expectations, without even being able to deliver at a reasonable rate. F U C K...

BFL should just STFU and 'ship' or get 'off the pot' (literally).

If I was a hardware Dev trying to crack the market, I would be pissed. Unfortunately, not only have BFL killed the 'fair' market, their shitty business practices have opened up a side-market with shipped units being sold at HUGE premiums for overnight shipping, thanks to them being such idiots and constantly being BEHIND the 8-ball.
1177  Other / Off-topic / FPGA Shipping on: June 09, 2012, 07:35:46 PM
Hypothetically, let's say I am currently in the market for 8-10 FPGAs right now and want them in 2 weeks MAX, in my hands in Canada....

What are my options ? ....short of paying a premium for used items... ?

Really??  I always had trouble with more than 5 GPUs.  Could never get three 5970s working together.

12.x drivers will not work in Windows with more than 4 cards/GPU Cores.

I use 11.12 for my 5-card and 6-card rigs in Win7 x64 with no problems.
