I put a link to the cards I am using at the bottom of my post above.

What about running 4*7970s on 1250 MHz and lowest memory BIOS flashed Huh On AX1200 or SS 1250W models ?

At those speeds, I wouldn't want to deal with the heat and unnecessary power requirements to reach 1250Mhz.

As I said (and can be seen on the BTC Wiki under Hardware Comparison) 1100Mhz gets you 650 MH/s per card. If I recall, 1150 got me roughly 675-680 MH/s.
Unfortunately at that point, heat started to become a concern for me, as I like to run my cards cool and use a 69c target temp and make sure my fans run under 50% 24/7 to achieve it.

Here is a screenshot of my 3x 7970 rigs. As you can see, I am loosing performance but notice my temps (it's also warm today) and I explained my power draw earlier in the thread....this setup runs very efficiently for what it is. (voltage doesn't report correctly through CGMiner API, all voltages should read 1.02V).
With more power available to me, I could easily clock these 3 rigs up and add 100+ MH/s to each card (so, 1.4GH/s total)....but again, at the price of power that I don't have....and heat that I don't want to deal with.

This is a custom web monitor using the CGMiner API.

I am currently running 14 (soon to be 15, last card should be here in a day or so, was on backorder) of these:

How is he supposed to get his BTC loan if he doesn't post a Bitcoin address ?
Obviously he didn't need the loan that bad.

HEY BITLANE!

I also love Alberta pussy.   Grin

Nice Wink

On an International Forum, you don't expect that many people know what the shape of Alberta looks like...LOL

You like Alberta pussies? I guess that makes you either a Flames or Oilers fan!
It would also explain your general grumpiness.  Grin

Go SHARKS!  Cheesy

Big 'Flamer' here....(I said it before someone else did). Actually, I have given up watching hockey. It's too 'safe' these days.

I only unlocked it to update it and before I could relock it, Bitlane threw a Coinhunter hissy fit in his post.

Right....and we all know how deep I am invested in the Solidcoin/Microcash communities, finding it only right to defend them.

ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS ?

You are about as bright as a burnt out light bulb and as predictable as a broken record.

Not exactly sure what your angle is.
You are correct though, I've never had any issues with you in the past and I know you aren't an SC sockie so you're justgoing on ignore.

Later loser

Am I a SC sockie ?

Mind if i answer? You're a troll. You will just take whatever place that is needed to piss off the highest possible amount of people. Why else would you have just got that Scammer tag? Wink

..you were talking about ME, right ?

No.

that was supposed to be a joke....since I actually AM a troll.....LOL

i have 3x 7970s that pull 680w at the wall and are on a 850 watt psu.

That seems a bit high...

What is your MH/s per card ?...and are you overclocking/undervolting etc ?
Share some specs/settings if you don't mind.

undervolt to 1.05 overclock to 1050 mem at 900  get about 600mhs per card

Have you found some to be a bit flaky with mem under 850Mhz ?

I am running my mem @ 900Mhz because I was crashing CGMiner at times (regardless of voltage increases). I've now been stable for nearly 48hrs with mem @ 900.
(950Mhz GPU, 900Mhz Mem, V-1.02, 565 MH/s each)
1310  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x 7970 psu? on: May 17, 2012, 11:05:05 AM
Couple of questions :

-does the underclock memory trick work with 7970s in Linux without needing BIOS flashing ?

-can 4*7970s at full overclock be used with a PSU of 1200W without power problems ( cards overclocked high ) ?

In Windows:
Using CGMiner/ADL, memory spread is 150Mhz MAX.
Using 3rd party tools (AB, Trixx etc) can turn mem down lower.

In Linux:
No clue.

4x 7970 on 1200W, overclocked ?
Yes, I was running 1150mhz (650MH/s @ 1100Mhz...so higher obviously) on stock voltage (4 cards) and drawing 1000W at the wall
(using a Sparkle Power 1200W 80+ PSU rated for 900W max combined on 5x 12V rails).

And ... where are my 7990s Huh Looks like AMD has given up Cheesy

June/July after some Equipment Show/Conference, also held back due to cooling problems and Nvidia Dual-GPU release.
1311  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x 7970 psu? on: May 17, 2012, 11:02:06 AM
@bitlane, choosing a x58 Mainboard may be not he best decision. It's Powerconsumption is way to high, CPU also.
But i see also you got a AMD Sys.

AMD licks balls with being limited to x16-x16 risers only in most x16 slots.

The X58 rigs allow me to run any width cable I want in any slot as long as it fits (obviously I can'y run an x16 cable in an x1 slot Wink  )

I just hate messing around with shorting pins etc. Also, my Xeons are 80W CPUs so it's not that bad.
1312  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bitcoinica 'hack' & GLBSE 'professionalism' blamed for IPO cancellation on: May 17, 2012, 09:42:41 AM
Deathbylollipop CEO Announces Split and Cancels GLBSE IPO

This guy just never gives up....and I am afraid that he simply will not.

Moving right along....it seems that our friendly neighborhood Deathbylollipop CEO has now resorted to questioning the business practices and professionalism of the GLBSE and it's owner as well as blaming the recent Bitcoinica compromise for his latest excuse to avoid publically listing his company scam as an IPO.

I am thankful that it takes 8 BTC and full verification by GLBSE in order to be listed as a company on it's exchange.

You are welcome to watch his latest exercise in bullshit here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qIXu1w9pQU

His full 'Library' (lol) can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/user/n0n00dz4u/videos

I will paraphrase his best quotes below....
You can find my favorite parts in BOLD text.

Quote

“Chemical-X will be a website which focuses on Bitcoin Advertisements”

There has already been a pledge of support on IRC…DiabloD3 has said that if this website takes off that they will definitely be interested in doing advertisements through it”

“In light of recent events (referring to Bitcoinica compromise) …now because of this split (DBL & Chemical-X) recently after Bitcoinica was hacked, I did some research…and was looking to go to the GLBSE trading platform and noticed that their website was down…the posting on the website in regards to this said that the reason the GLBSE trading platform was taken down was that they feared that they also going to be attacked in light of recent events (related Bitcoinica).”

‘Here’s the scoop, because of the way Deathbylollipop has exploded, between the pledge of support, between DiabloD3 and the release of Diablo Mining Company, the successful launch of Diablo Mining Company, the conceptualization of Chemical-X that I am currently still working on and also the split – we are not planning on, we are officially cancelling the concept of or, the plan to list ourselves as an IPO on the GLBSE trading system.”

We will not be a member of GLBSE. I am not all that interested in actively trading as a member of that site. I just felt it was a little unprofessional, for out of fear, for the website to be taken down.. for you to take the website down and then no longer allow other users to actively participate or withdraw funds etc etc, especially after the Bitcoinica website was hacked.”

“I understand if some of our fans and some of our supporters were a little disappointed by this fact, but I just want to say, Deathbylollipop, and specifically myself being the CEO, feels that it would just be a better idea to separate ourselves from that concept.”

I was talking to Nefario when I was a member of Bitcointalk.org….an almost unspoken agreement that I would list as a GLBSE, but I am deciding that I think it would better to kind of split our ways, or kinda take different paths. Deathbylollipop is going into it’s own sector, it’s own direction in regards the future of itself as an organization”

He seems to truly believe that he has found a Bitcoin 'friend' in DiabloD3 and drops his name as well as the Diablo Mining Company name every chance he gets.

This should be a big concern for everyone seeing this.
In another of his videos, be goes on to say that he will accept Bond and PRIVATE IPO/Share purchases still by email etc, even though he has decided against listing on the GLBSE.

Do your part to protect the Bitcoin Community and put this scammer in his place any chance you get.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Yep that's right, you too can hash twice as fast as everyone else! The difficulty will bow down at your feet and moon the rest of the poor slobs that don't have this gold-in-a-bottle! Hurry up and order today; at this price it sure won't last very long!

PRICING INFORMATION:
  • Mega Sauce: Over 9000 BTC, contact me for special order pricing and availability!
  • Maxi Sauce: 1337 BTC, ships in 4-6 weeks in a nuclear flask to contain the epic awesome boiling inside!
  • Mini Sauce: Only 199.99 BTC and ready for pre-orders today!
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER APPLICATION:
Twice daily, pour rjk's Awesome Sauce liberally on the video cards in each of your rigs, and if you have them, on your FPGAs too. Within a week, your rigs will be assigned their own personal Mega-mining difficulty, available at select pools! Not only will the effective hash rate double, your personal difficulty will be 20% lower than the rest of the network, making you more profit than ever before!

Our super smart engineers have developed a new formula that when applied in liquid form, reduces the number of rounds needed for a valid hash from two to just one. However, the recipe is still secret and stored in a safe, even though it can be reverse engineered by bombarding it with neutrons. No one has a neutron accelerator yet, do they?

Of course, to ally fears of scamming ("who, us?") we are making our very own mail drop street address available to the public, and a phone number so that you can pump our engineers for the gen1. You can send us letters and view our pretty store front on Goggle Mappes here:

Do you plan to offer any 'ethnic' or 'regional' flavors for those of us looking for something a bit more exotic ?

How about a 'light' version. Is it possible to get ALL the performance with LESS calories ?

I am very excited about this and am looking forward to a trial run....

Could you perhaps share some information about your mining operation and the hardware you currently use ?
How about what products you currently have on order ?

Maybe you are a competitor and have developed your own mining hardware that you are going to begin shipping soon.

Don't tell me that you Bitcoin Gambling list is your only claim to fame.....

To get the most I could (power out of 15A home circuits that is...), I used two circuits (15A each) to split 3 rigs onto.....that looks like this:

(1 full machine & 'in-window' twin cooling fan per circuit, 3rd rig split over 2 circuits to keep from blowing breaker)
Circuit A also has a Dell 24port 10/100 switch (almost forgot about that...lol

All cards running @ 950Mhz GPU / 900Mhz Mem @ 1.02V, 565MH/s per card....(using CGMiner 2.4.1 defaults, Win7 x64)

Both of the remaining 4-card rigs will also get their 5th 7970's installed as soon as the cards arrive.

Hope this helps some people, or gives a few ideas for those wondering....

For those wondering about specific setup...(not including the obvious single power supply 5-card/1200W PSU Rig)...

On the 2x PSU rigs, I use the 850's to power the Motherboard/CPU/HDD + 2 Video Card's External 8pin/6pin connectors (and of course all PCIe Slot Power by association).
The Secondary 650's get used for external Video Card power to the 6pin/8pin connectors to the 3rd, 4th and 5th cards (and perhaps additional cooling fans if required in the future).
1317  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x 7970 psu? on: May 17, 2012, 07:10:44 AM
I am running 5x 7970's using a single Sparkle Power 1200W 80+ (rated for 900W 12V @ 5 rails)

The total system power draw is 865W at the wall running the cards @ 950Mhz GPU / 900Mhz Mem @ 1.02V, 565MH/s per card.
The system consists of a 790FX-GD70, AthlonII X2 215, 4GB DDR3 and an SSD.

Number 1 tactic of a fuming loser that can't find a decent comeback.......

Actually, I was pretty clear on that point as well, when I pointed to most losers not having anything significant of their own....hence the attacking of others.

Please show me what YOU have done, before you attack someone else's work.

Just to be clear - I am not attacking what anyone (including you) does, I am simply attacking YOU as a person.
