Catalyst 12.6. Don't install the SDK because the drivers already include the latest OpenCL drivers. I run 1200/685 @ 1.174V. Generates ~720 MH/s. I run DiabloMiner.exe -v -w 256.
BLAH! Judging by your 'L33T GAMER' Sig, I am not sure if you are qualified to answer his request. Think MINING, NOT Gamer/Miner compromise. 11.12 7970 Release Edition using included SDK....FTW ! (regular 11.12 will not support 7970, check your reference card driver CD ) 12.x drivers blow dog (for Windows miners anyways). Try run more than 4x 7970s and you will see for yourself.

Too much red wine.....Can't think straight.... Just wait for the hangover Back on topic.... I find it difficult to believe that a single BTC has not been repayed as of yet. What I find even more bizzare, is them still holding back USD, as it was a BTC theft and had nothing to do with other user's USD... ( or whatever currency they had at the time in their accounts). I have a feeling this is going to get legally messy, resulting in the community's first legal precedent set after a confusing court battle.

Even though I am running all Windows-based Rigs, I don't have any UPS software installed or a management/info connection to the UPS' themselves. Just power-IN...and power-OUT.
My main purpose was load display (glorified power-bar and kill-a-watt combined...lol), to help avoid breaker tripping and fine tuning of my undervolting/overclocking.
Of course, if the units that you have do not have an LCD display, the software and management/console/USB cable would definitely be required for revealing running conditions/stats etc.

The UPS's batteries are dead....no power/battery backup. I have a few of them that I got from a client who invested in rackmount gear and these were given to me for nothing. I use them for power/line conditioning, stats display/monitoring and overall power distribution. Just a pair of glorified power-bars with LCD read-outs

How many of those users had bitcoinica accounts?
Please stay on topic. This is clearly GPUMAX's fault (as stated in the first post). It couldn't possibly have anything to do with another service ...I mean, just look at GPUMAX's ( and Pirate's....in general) track record when it comes to security and loss. Please re-apply tunnel vision and/or add blinders to continue this conversation

Frankly, I think Nefario's claim is a joke at best with nothing to back it up other than a coincidence.
While on the topic though, would it be possible to have the option to LOCK one's GPUMAX payout address in their control panel so that it can not be changed ?
My BTCGuild account has permanent payout addresses and people can login to it all they want, as the worst they can do is mine for me and make me more BTC...LOL

Im sure he also asked if they had other accounts besides GPUmax. From what I see he did nothing wrong. He even tried contacting pirate, when he got no response he gave a warning to the community. I'd love to use two factor auth, but I don't even have a cell phone. Are there other ways to do two factor auth? And are there any plans to implement them soon? I hope so.
I dont remember where I saw the link but recently nefario posted a link to google auth desktop version. No, the right thing would have been to tell people to check their passwords and not blindly tell them (as I quoted above) that GPUMAX was to blame for this.

The common theme between them is that both users had GPUMax accounts, with passwords that were either the same (as the GLBSE accounts password) or similar.
That is some fine deductive reasoning....completely obvious if you ask me, ALTHOUGH, before pointing your finger, couldn't you have put another 2 minutes of Detective work into formulating your conclusion for all of this ? Perhaps in common, they also had BTC-E accounts ? BitcoinTalk.org accounts ? Common Email providers ? .....used a wallet address as a password ? If you have a GPUMax account it is highly likely that it's password has somehow been compromised.
Obviously.... If you use the same or a similar password elsewhere (GLBSE, MtGox, Email whatever) please change them now.
This smells too much like a weakness on YOUR end and an attempt to cover tracks by asking people to change passwords. If you are a GLBSE user I would encourage you to use two-factor authentication, there have already been over 3 accounts which have been protected by this.
Over 3 ? .....as in, 4 accounts ? This entire thread is horse shit. Considering the growing pains that the GLBSE has gone through, you should be the last one to point fingers at anyone else. PS. WTF does this have to do with 'Project Development' ?

As a side note.... Like you, I too am part of the ' 2x 15A circuit split miners' with my 3x 5-card 7970 rigs. On each 15A circuit, I have an APC XS 1300. I am still testing efficiency/overclocking etc....so right now, 15 cards all running 1.025V / 975mhz GPU / 850mhz MEM. Looks like this...

Something about this seems shady.... definitely shady. Are you using your hashing power for 'shady' ventures ? (or are you still pissed off that your invite has not been approved yet ?)
I appreciate your concern. Just ozcoin though, no worries! Thanks! M Thanks for not getting pissed at my terrible sense of humor....LOL I had to make a tleast a couple references to 'shady' after reading your anti-GPUMAX posts.... Happy Mining !

Now that there are quite a few 7970 owners out there, have any of you taken the time to check the ASIC Quality percentages from each of your cards ?
I currently have 15x 7970s running 5-card per rig x 3. Doing a few 'spot checks' I have noticed that there is a bit of a variance of ASIC Quality readings from some of my cards.
My lowest ASIC Quality % seems to be about 65+%, with the highest being just shy of 90%.....the rest in the high 70% / mid-to-low 80% range.
I am wondering if it would be worth my time testing and separating the 15 cards into my 3 rigs, based on ASIC Quality, to further 'fine-tune' under-voltaging and overclocking ? For instance, make a 60+% rig, a 70+% rig and finally an 80+% rig all based on what GPU-Z tells me.
Has anyone gone this deep into their setups yet ? ...or taken advantage of the ASIC Quality Readings now available ?

For the last 2 generations, non-reference dual-GPU cards have been hit or miss at best....mostly MISS. For the money involved and the headache possibilities, I would rather wait for AMD to release a proper 7990 (or whatever their reference dual gpu card will be). As seen with the 2 generation-old 5870x2 and the 1 generation-old 6870x2....both turned out to be more hassle than they were worth in the end.
I have a new found appreciation for reference cards as of late due to the problems many 7970 owners are facing with non-reference 7970's. Documented Cases of Coil whine from Sapphire, overheating VRMs from PowerColor and dead fans on some 6 month-old dual-fan/non-reference cards already.
I don't find my 7970 Reference models (Gigabyte branded) to be offensively LOUD or overly HOT running. They are as cool running and as quiet as I could hope for considering their blazing performance.
