1181  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: June 09, 2012, 05:12:50 AM
What interest rate will be provided to users who have been without access to their USD for the last month ?

At this point, if users are not fairly compensated, as USD holdings were never at risk nor were they affected by the security breach, failing to compensate USD accounts with proper interest should be considered nothing more than a SCAM since this entire time, the Bitcoinica Consultancy has been using their users USD to help get out of the hole that they are in.

This HAS to be embarrassing at this point for them, as the original 'Bitcoin Consultancy' was supposed to be a positive force in the Bitcoin community and has turned out to be nothing more than a larger scale scam in comparison to past scams.

I guess it's safe to say that they will simply have to put a price on their future credibility in this community and repay it to the USD accounts that they have profited from for the last near-month.

What a joke.
1182  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: 7970, CGMiner 2.4.0, Win7x64 - 100% CPU, Dummy Plugs, MemDiff on: June 09, 2012, 04:20:07 AM
Would you post where I can download 11.12 for 7970?
Do you mind posting your Cgminer settings?

http://www2.ati.com/drivers/hotfix/radeon_7900_series/amd_radeon_hd7900_win7_64.exe

**Win7 x64 ONLY

Before launching CGMiner, I use Afterburner to lower the voltage to 1.025V, then use the following settings:

-I 9 --gpu-engine 970 --gpu-memclock 820 --auto-fan --temp-target 69

End result is 578-580 MH/s per card, 66c-68c & 50-60% Fan (currently running 3x 5-card 7970 rigs @ ~2900MH/s each)

Bump ?

Please PM me, as I may lose track of this thread.
1184  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: 3+ MATCHING Small Raptors, VelociRaptors or SSDs on: June 08, 2012, 10:03:53 PM
WD actually just released terabyte sized Velociraptors, but with the exception of the seek times the 3TB drives are cheaper and faster.

I just saw those recently and was impressed with how cheap they were. I was just hoping for a few used drives to get this done, in BTC hopefully.

I have used every iteration of Raptor/VelociRaptor since their inception and still prefer them over SSDs in sustained READ/WRITE environments...although you can't beat an SSD for it's read times only, if used that way.

Currently I boot my main workstation from a 3 drive RAID 0 SSD array, but my 'working' volume for Video Transcoding etc is still done on a RAID 0 VelociRaptor Array, as the SSDs just get bogged down too fast with multiple read/write requests and the VR's still shine in that respect, regardless of RAID Card.
1185  Economy / Computer hardware / FS: LGA1366 (i7) Intel Xeon CPUs on: June 08, 2012, 09:58:43 PM
These Engineering Sample (ES) Xeon CPUs have all worked flawlessly in every X58 motherboard I have tried as well as all 5500/5520 Server Boards.

I have not put these into a board that they have failed in....
(Misc. Asus, Gigabyte, SuperMicro, eVGA - X58 Single CPU and 55xx Dual-CPU Server/Workstation Boards)

Although some configs lack reporting of Model# in Windows System Info, CPU-Z and/or CoreTemp ALWAYS recognize the CPUs.
All function 100% with Speedstep/Voltage/Multiplier Controls/Dynamic Underclocking/Power Savings etc.

I make no guarantee for their overclocking abilities (as I never overclocked any of them), as my main concern when using them was proper Power Savings and Dynamic Underclocking (SpeedStep) functionality for my miners.

All CPUs are Dual-QPI, so are Dual-CPU or Single-CPU Capable.
These will be available in SINGLES or MATCHED PAIRS as noted.
There are also 2 OEM E5504's (HP Server Pulls) available that are NOT Engineering Samples.

1187  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Proposal - Looking for feedback on: June 08, 2012, 08:38:58 AM
This sounds similiar to BTCBlink, except I'm doing 1 in 10 odds.
I haven't been to the site, so I will just ask here...

At what payout rate ? 10x wager as well ?
1188  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Proposal - Looking for feedback on: June 07, 2012, 08:42:18 PM
Interesting concept bitlane....

Some knee-jerk thoughts (keep in mind I have not run the numbers yet):

How do we prevent someone from taking more than one spot?

I think we would have to have a fixed bet amount for each slot, ie. 1 BTC a 'ticket' pays out 10 BTC = 5 BTC profit for operator.

I like the idea on the surface.  The reason I don't like bitlotto is because the cycles are sooo long.

People are welcome to take as many slots as they like, but in the end, there is still only 1 winner but at what point does the wager vs payout become pointless ?
1189  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report Against CryptoXchange $100k USD on: June 07, 2012, 06:44:35 AM
Whatever...

Your shitty little exchange still depends on MT.Gox, and once they pecker-slapped you guys, you began making your client's life difficult in order to buy time.

Why would anyone want to go through another middle man ? just another point of SCAM or FAILURE in the Trade/Payment process.

Judging by your trade volume (laughable at best) it's safe to say that a fuckup of this magnitude WILL NOT be increasing it any time in the near future.

People can jump through HALF the hoops and simply submit Docs ONCE to MT.Gox and cut you guys right the fuck out of the loop.

What a joke.
1190  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report Against CryptoXchange $100k USD on: June 07, 2012, 06:33:06 AM
We have requested Notorised & Opistilled documents and have been waiting, also amount is not 100K.

WME: Please send through Notorised & Opistilled Documents as requested several times.

It is that simple.

Crypto X Change

Just send him back his BTC and quite trying to be the fucking Bitcoin Police, you scamming idiots.
1191  Economy / Gambling / New Proposal - Looking for feedback on: June 07, 2012, 04:21:06 AM
I am looking for some feedback on the following Gambling proposal.

ODDS - 1 in 15 chance, single winner-take all (only 15 'spots' available per 'round')
PAYOUT - 10x Wager for single winner.
ROUND DURATION - 1 week or less. Blockchain to pick winner (although no time limit set - guaranteed winner)
TRANSPARENCY - 100% transparent with up to the minute view-able web stats.

Would something like this interest anyone ?

Please comment on the Payout Rate vs Odds.

thanks in advance,
bitlane.

You really have to shut this guy up..  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol2STodQCQI&feature=plcp

He is making you look stupid, as well as himself (which seems par for him anyways).

He is calling YOU the largest farm currently in existence etc, etc.

If you are happy being associated with this scammer, great....

There are a lot of music genres between those extremes of "gay" and psychotic.   lol

Sure. It's called Country Wink
1194  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: best mining settings for 7970 on: June 04, 2012, 06:47:02 PM
Here's my number - FIVE .....as in, the number of 7970s in a single Windows Miner that 11.12 allows me to run. 12.x is pure FAIL for more than 4 cards.
1195  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fuck you guys on: June 04, 2012, 06:02:31 PM
I unignored out of curiousity. The new thing is that I am a scammer who apparently stole BTC exchanged them to LR and is now exchanging them back to BTCs....

AND you have a slutty Dad.....
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend's band... on: June 04, 2012, 05:38:46 PM
I have a friend trying to raise money for mixing/mastering on his band's new album... they have an IndieGogo page, but they're also accepting Bitcoin donations (read the bottom of the page).

He wants to offer some sort of bitcoin related "perk" on the fundraiser, or something of that nature that could be cool/unique for the Bitcoin community, and is looking for suggestions.

I suggested possibly printing the bitcoin symbol or a "funded by Bitcoin" on the album artwork, if he gets enough of the donations in BTC.

Any ideas?

First off, what genre of music is this ?

I am only willing to donate if they are either a Metalcore or Melodic Death Metal band (think: Trivium, All That Remains, It Dies Today).
Hardcore/Post-Hardcore are also options that I would strongly consider (Hatebreed, Refused...even Slipknot)

As long as it's nothing gay like any of that 'Computer-Crap' or this-'step' that-'step' kinda trash that can only be truly enjoyed by someone high on Ecstasy, wearing a glow-stick lanyard-made necklace, sucking on a soother.

...and allow your father to be sexually abused for the sake of your scam proceeding on a public forum ?
1199  Other / Off-topic / Re: So, how about them arbitrary post counts? on: June 04, 2012, 04:57:36 PM
So, how about them arbitrary and obnoxious forum sigs that require scrolling to read at times ?

This post is about gay signatures and the users that either need to tell their life story or beg for money in their sigs.....
(not including rjk because he's building a hashing monster and I am jealous)

You mean like mine?

No, I don't see any begging in yours or your life story.

hotdog down a hallway
Oh god I lol'd

I had to 'wrap it' in the sleeve of my jacket, just to get some 'traction'.....

Not a very pleasurable experience for him in the end, as I had a zipper from the jacket facing outwards.
