My opinion is that as a protocol and mechanism for value transfer it has even greater intrinsic value than gold.

I wish he wasn't anonymous forever but on the other hand if such is his choice I respect it.
3170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: June 20, 2015, 02:55:12 PM
Speculation/Investment/Saving .when i spend 1 btc for example, it feels like i'm giving up a lot  more than 250 Dollars .I think subconsciously i'm taking into account their future value.
3171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 20, 2015, 02:49:32 PM
Most people who even know about Bitcoin are just filled to the brim with the negativity that the media gives it.

3173  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 02:38:07 PM
Because if a criminal wants a gun they are going to get it, law or no law. If the criminal has a gun I want one too.
It's much, much easier in America. In the UK we barely have any gun crime. Because guns are much, much harder to get hold of. It's not rocket science.

But to my understanding the UK has a much higher instance of burglary and breaking and entering.

3175  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: June 11, 2015, 01:00:52 AM
I would definitely hold a majority of my coins for several years to see how much growth really happens with Bitcoin.
3176  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you expect from the halving in 2016? on: June 11, 2015, 12:54:17 AM
I would like to expect that the price of bitcoin will rise with the halving but I'm not so sure. It's hard to say what the price will be tomorrow never mind in a year and halfs time.

There is no reason for anything to happen. If the price of Bitcoin goes up, it will have nothing to do with the mining rewards halving. A decrease in the mining rewards has no effect on the existing money supply.

The price started going up right after the last halving Wink

Bitcoin, by its very nature, is here to stay.  we can adopt it into the mainstream and build tooling around it  Bitcoin is decentralized ! It only requires software and network connections.
3179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, Bitcoin on: June 11, 2015, 12:01:21 AM
if you are dealing with under 100 BTC then a webwallet will work sufficiently well for keeping your money in, however those with larger balances are more likely to not mind needing to download the entrie blockchain.
