2281  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kii552007_alt Computer Hardware Scammer on: March 10, 2018, 01:40:46 PM
That is different from how I understand Paypal. They may have changed their system in regards to refunds and such to prevent fraud, but as I remember it when a refund is initiated it could not be declined before. If you did not have enough funds in your account to send the refund through it would simply put your account negative and allow the refund to go through. ATRD are these refunds coming directly from your bank account? I believe you might be able to disconnect your bank account and handle this directly with Paypal. This way you don't ruin your life over some scammer on Paypal. Please keep me updated on the status of refunds and what not.
2282  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Looking to buy CS GO knife with BTC on: March 09, 2018, 03:20:59 PM
I tried to sell my Butterfly Knife Fade here awhile back, but the guy kept giving me the runaround and tried to scam me. My fade pattern is 100%, which is very rare, so it is the fullest fade pattern there is no better pattern for this knife. It is Factory New with a pretty low float, but the main point is the extremely rare fade pattern. There are very few actual full fades. I have 2 different escrows that have said they are willing to escrow for this kind of transaction and you can feel free to choose between them; they are both reputable escrows that anybody would suggest. Would you be interested in something like this?

This was my first CS:GO knife; I actually opened it myself with my first case key ever. I'm happy to accept escrow and BTC as long as a fair price is suggested I will take it without a second thought.

Link to the quote https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2751303.msg28494227#msg28494227 , there's a picture and a little more info.

Currently going through pages 5-10 and I am blowing through them much quicker than I had thought I would. There are much fewer posts to actually be considered than normal. Most submissions break multiple rules, or just submit their spammy mega-thread posts that they believe to be substantial. Anyways, there is only about 1-full page of submissions to go through now, will finish within a few hours.
2284  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Dried Morel mushrooms! $15 oz and $200 LB. Free shipping for 1st purchase. on: March 09, 2018, 04:25:49 AM
Morels are much meatier than any other mushroom that I can think of off the top of my head.

USA shipping bud?  I can ship you your first ounce on the house.

I'm happy to let you know how to rehydrate them and prepare them.  Do you prefer breakfast, lunch or dinner?

One ounce of dried morels is enough to play with as well.

USA Shipping, yes indeed. I'd probably eat these with a Breakfast or Dinner, most likely a dinner, but I wouldn't doubt they'd be killer in an omelet or something. I was thinking steak would be a nice dinner for them to pair with, but please give me some suggestions. I did a little reading that said they are good to crumble over dishes while dry, and a plethora of people that cover it in flour and fry them. I hadn't even heard of these before I came across your thread a few minutes ago.

First ounce on the house? I can't say no to that or find a better price. Especially seeing how much of a delicacy and how difficult to grow these are. That's really absurdly generous of you and I'll probably end up sending you a tip for them anyways. How would you say re-hydrated morels compare to fresh?
2285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GPU Suggestions Please GB Windforce 1070 OC??? on: March 09, 2018, 03:59:27 AM
The altcoin mining section is pretty gentle from my experience. They aren't friendly to scammers, but when you're just looking for information on how to get into the mining game they are pretty tame. All I use is NiceHash as well and I thought I was getting in over my head until I got started and it was way more simple than I was making it. I got my 1080ti for $700, like I said you can find very reputable and high quality vendors around here that will help you get your start. I'll admit that I probably got a better price than most people will be able to get right now, but I think your calculations are a bit off as far as ROI is concerned. A single 1080ti on NiceHash earns me about $5 per day after electricity costs. I expect to ROI in a little over 4 or 5 months if this keeps pace. Also, my "Rigs" are just desktop computers that can be used for everyday tasks, not just mining; I like versatility, the ability to use them for gaming if need be and resale value in my "rigs".
2286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: GPU Suggestions Please GB Windforce 1070 OC??? on: March 09, 2018, 03:05:13 AM
I'm not so sure this is the proper section for your question, but I'll do my best to give you the little bit of knowledge I have on the subject. I've just recently got into mining myself, so I'm not a wealth of information. For about $600 it seems like you might be overspending on a card like the 1070 for mining. I got two 1080ti's for $1400 total, or about $700 each. Granted, I bought them from a vendor around here, but they are very trusted with not a single negative review in sight. They took very good care of their cards and I do not expect their previous usage to have a significant impact on their lifespan/performance. I plan to ROI in just a couple months, but my main point is that it seems like if you look for your cards a little harder you could get a lot more bang for your buck.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0 - Altcoin Mining section, might be better served to look for information there.

Also, I have a 980ti that I would be willing to sell for pretty cheap, definitely will help clear up some room in your budget while maintaining good power, it has seen very minimal usage. If you're interested in saving a couple hundred bucks on one of your card slots and buying it from me for your rig, let me know.
2287  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Joe's Signatureless Challenge: Win $25 ($10 for 2nd) + 8 Merits every week! on: March 09, 2018, 02:38:27 AM
this account 'PUGMAN'  is a hacked account that has been bought from TOR. im the original Pugman since 2014

This is not the thread to make this claim. Whether it is true or false, that is irrelevant to where you are posting this. I see you posted a thread about hacked accounts in the altcoin discussion, this is also not the proper place for these types of threads. If you would like to have your claim investigated then you need to make a post in the Meta section with acceptable proof that you are the original owner of the account. It seems you claim your account was hacked at December 17th, 2017 and December 16th, 2017 Pugman applied for the ChipMixer campaign.

Also, read this sticky about recovering hacked/lost account to proceed properly and effectively. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

I have been in regular conversation with Pugman for a few weeks now, and I would hate for this to be the case. I can't say to any change in behavior, since I would've only have come in contact with Pugman after the date you allege to have lost control of the account. Do not follow them around the forum and harass them, simply prove your case and you will find this is much more effective.

Please do not break forum rules and do not repeatedly post, if you feel the need then edit your original post. If you are the original Pugman then you will either be able to prove it or you will need to accept that we cannot believe you without proof.
2288  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Dried Morel mushrooms! $15 per oz and $200 per LB. High quality caps only! on: March 09, 2018, 02:06:40 AM
I normally hate the texture of mushrooms, but after doing a little bit of research it looks like morels are closer to truffles than mushrooms and I'm always willing to give something a try. Earlier in the thread it read as though shipping prices were a bit of a concern for smaller orders. I am interested in a sample if you are still offering that as an option; this would give me a chance to taste them and see if I want to buy a few ounces for steaks and Marsala.

As long as you hook me up with some tips on how to prepare them, maybe even some recipes I would probably be a repeat customer unless I dislike their taste. I'm optimistic though!
2289  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kii552007_alt Computer Hardware Scammer on: March 09, 2018, 12:36:59 AM
Unfortunately just got this email from PayPal. Sad

Quote
An eCheck payment from partners name removed was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment.

I've tried to read that a few times and I still can't figure out exactly what is happening. Does that mean that they've attempted to refund you and there is no fund in order to refund you? I just don't understand why they are sending you payment, unless that is what Paypal is saying in regards to the refund.
2290  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: March 08, 2018, 07:09:33 PM

Your generic criteria for selecting a Pump and Dump is not of interest to me or anybody else to be taken seriously around here. I seem to be throwing around the word "generic" quite a bit lately, but that seems to be most of what I am being submitted.

This post/thread has been deleted. I can't review a deleted thread.

The way this link is formatted is in violation of my Local-Rule. Feel free to resubmit your post after reading the rules thoroughly.

More ICO nonsense that I am not interested in meriting. Your posts do not add anything to the discussion or conversation. I will not be meriting any of these posts at this time.

1500th+ reply in a mega-thread and you're mostly just going back and forth in conversation with another user. This is not something I will be meriting.
2291  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: March 08, 2018, 03:51:14 PM

Broke a local rule in the formatting of your link. I know it might not seem like a big deal to anybody, but it's a rule that I've laid out and it's laid out for a reason. Feel free to resubmit after reading the rules.

I don't understand how your post would help anybody recover their accounts. Admins/staff do not accept this as verifiable proof to recover your account. This is a neat idea, but not very helpful so I am not going to be giving you a merit for this.

You submit a single post and it is the 500th+ reply to a mega-thread and is incredibly boring/generic. There is nothing meritorious about this post and I have no clue why you believed it was. If you can provide a solid explanation for why you believed it to be meritorious I will throw you a merit.

You just sent me a link to your profile. Not going through your post history myself, and your profile isn't something I can merit.

I don't have much care for ICO threads and your generic economics talk is also not something I'm interested in. I do not see anything worth meriting here.
2292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Was robbed on: March 08, 2018, 02:14:04 PM
Transaction 2 weeks ago was stuck pending and shrinking .
I am a noob to this crappy wallet that everybody seems to love but tons of people have problems.
Anyway   keepa clean house, nrver been hacked. aFTER 2 WEEKS OF WAITING I reseeded and it had just done a U turn in that holey wallett. Has anybody experienced this?

Which wallet?
What is the transaction ID?
What fee did you use?
Has it really been two weeks or has it been more like 4-days?

If the fee you attach with your transaction is inadaquete then your transaction will not get picked up and confirmed by miners/nodes. This would cause your coins to sit in "limbo" or the memory pool until the network lets go of your transaction. You were not robbed unless there is a transaction that you did not make sending your coins out of your wallet somewhere you do not have access. This sounds like you just send a bad transaction and are waiting for your coins to return to you. The title of this thread is misleading and your explanation is lacking, please clarify or you will not receive informative answers. Questions like this can be answered by yourself through better understanding of Bitcoin in general.

Please explain what you mean by "I reseeded and it had done a U turn", do you mean that you keep trying to send it and you can't get your funds out of the wallet and therefore you believe you've been robbed?
2293  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Merit source application on: March 08, 2018, 01:45:19 PM
If I had to guess Loyce, the staff is probably getting a feel for how well the merit currently available circulates before they overdo it on sources. I would imagine that out of the people that have applied you are the most likely to be accepted and probably our best gauge for how they will continue with the merit source submissions. I say this to mean, if you don't get approved then there is a good chance nobody will be approved at least temporarily. I would imagine this is why it is taking so long for them to process these, because of a temporary halt on processing. You're probably first in line for actual consideration.
2294  Economy / Services / Re: Purchase Product from Thailand on: March 08, 2018, 01:29:06 PM
I quoted you the rules so that you could see for yourself what you are doing wrong. Then you sarcastically apologize and continue to break the rules. You didn't lock either of your multiple threads and you didn't delete any of your old bumps. I've reported both of the threads to a moderator now. Check your attitude or this isn't going to be a fun place.
2295  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: March 08, 2018, 03:47:00 AM

I was searching for some kind of nuance, meaning, creativity or anything that would be meritorious; I'm having a tough time to dig through the generic post and find something of greater value.

All of your posts read painfully generic. I don't even feel like I'm reading the thoughts of an actual person, I feel like I'm reading the forced posts of someone that is in desperation to find something to post about. I apologize if this is a bit harsh, but I'm just very uninterested in the posts you're putting forward in every way.

I just turned down another "What to look for in ICO" post and yours is much lazier and much worse.

I would give this merit if I had not already seen multiple threads with exactly this information and similar graphics. I've just seen it too many times to have the merit to dish out every time I come across it. At this point it is not new information to me and anybody that doesn't know this information should be able to gather it from stickies and what not.

The wall observer thread is not something I can follow or am very much interested in following. I'm also not going to merit the announcement of another coin, when I don't know enough about to coin to make a judgement and there are hundreds of coin announcement threads.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York federal judge !!!! on: March 07, 2018, 08:45:41 PM
It's pretty clear what they mean. Bitcoin can and will be regulated as if it were a commodity.

The more interesting part is that in Germany, Bitcoin was recognized as legal tender.
Imho they are all still testing the waters. We can't clearly tell how will Bitcoin be regulated over the world. I hope that it will be a s coin (legal tender) everywhere.

Talk about inconsistency. This is coming from countries with very tight political and economic ties. You'd think that it would be mutually beneficial to have a united front on how Bitcoin is to be dealt with. I imagine having it classified differently in multiple countries offers unforeseen consequences; you'd think there would be some kind of manipulation or loopholes created from this. It would seem silly to me to regulate all coins as commodities when anyone can make a coin for any reason. Monopoly money isn't a commodity, and so we would need something drawing a defining line between Bitcoin or other currencies that are meant to be considered commodities and other coins. They must be testing the waters, but it seems they're doing so without any coordination between commissions or countries. Of course I don't expect any different, but it just seems to ham-fisted.
2297  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] RX580 1080Ti - Brand new on: March 07, 2018, 07:59:42 PM
It's now March 7, and none of the EMS tracking numbers that I know of work.

Time has proven that I have been scammed by OP, a person I worked with extensively for 8 months, who either (1) planned an extensive long-con from the beginning or (2) he decided to destroy me just within the last month - I'm not sure which is worse, but 1 of those is true.

kebabman and quick1unc can verify that I proactively issued refunds on PayPal 3 days ago, as it had become clear that I had been scammed because OP had stopped replying.

I'm an idiot and I'm ashamed that I was fooled by someone I thought I knew.
And I'm ashamed that I played an unknowing role in dragging anyone else into this, and I ask for your forgiveness.

For my part, I have done all actions necessary to return everyone's money who sent it through me. I do not know how many other orders went through OP's PayPal (and I did not even know he was accepting orders outside of me when this all began), but I know quick1unc has filed a claim against OP's PayPal, and it would probably be wise for anyone else to do the same.

I will spend the next 6-24 months trying to figure out how to pay off my negative account balance.

I have no parting thought other than to say, I was wrong. You all were right. I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. I'm royally and irrevocably screwed.

Originally I was skeptical of you, because of your very convenient timing for entering into this entire situation on the forums. I did not know what to make of this new user claiming to be a partner with all of the connections and verification that they did. In the future I would run any sort of ideas like this in the future by somebody else or multiple people to see if they can poke holes in the idea. Critical thinking is necessary to not be taken advantage of or preyed upon by psychopaths and diligent scammers. They will try to work you over at some point in your life and let this be a lesson that sometimes optimism isn't the best path for your thinking. Do not feel ashamed, as it happens to the best of us, only allow this to improve yourself moving forward. You've acted very forthrightly during this entire process from the beginning. I have no reason to doubt anything you've said up to this point. I have a feeling that Cliff will pop up again and try to explain this way and get everyone on the hook for more time and money, do not let this happen and contact the relevant authorities.

You've done everything I can imagine to make this right from your end, saved a few people a lot of headaches by doing the right thing. I wish this business venture would've worked out better for you, and everyone else that was trying to purchase gear. This happened to someone that I knew back in the day and Paypal had no mercy, but they were unable to make payments after being scammed for thousands of dollars. Paypal tried to send it to a collections company and pursue legal action, but in the end the debt was dropped without incident. They were reasonable in the end upon realizing payment could not be made in any capacity. I do not know your personal situation, but this is my only anecdote relevant to this type of situation.
2298  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: kii552007_alt Computer Hardware Scammer on: March 07, 2018, 07:21:45 PM
I have a pending claim with OP and they have him till tomorrow to respond or it auto wins to me. Of course he won’t respond so I’ll have the money back shortly. If you paid OP and don’t have an full claim in, do it now and don’t waste anymore time.

When you say "of course he won't respond" I am curious why he wouldn't even bother to fight it. I'm wondering if the scammer believes this gives them deniability for them to pop up again later and claim they were unable to access the internet or send out shipments for some other obscure reason. Has the scammer responded to any of the claims being disputed? I believe someone talked about them threatening people earlier about disputes, but I am wondering if the scammer ever responded on Paypal to these disputes even after making threats and contact. This would show a pattern of absence without good reason and give us a better understanding of what exactly is going on. For sure file your claims now, get your refunds over with, I called this from the beginning and there is no doubt in my mind at this point.
2299  Other / Off-topic / Re: sMerit Post-Review on: March 07, 2018, 02:59:40 PM

Your submission is just explaining how to perform ban evasion on social media platforms to continue to promote pump and dump scams and ICOs that have all but ruined this forum and their platform(s) as well. I won't be meriting this and I do not condone it.

You have broken a local rule (or two) with the formatting of your links. I'm not going to bend the rules for you, but feel free to resubmit your posts after reading the OP.

Your post is trash. It's in a mega-thread, providing generic information that has been repeated multiple times.

Another lame thread about picking the best ICOs, AKA pump and dump. I've seen this thread a hundred times at this point and each time it gets lazier than the last; add some unique criteria that is actually helpful to people.

I would've definitely given this post as merit if I deemed it lacking in merit. You've received a healthy chunk of merit for this post, so I think it is properly saturated at this point. I would have loved to slapped my own merit on there, but I'm running low and that post has received more merit than I have to give right now.,
2300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to get fiat? on: March 07, 2018, 07:53:49 AM
Although I do see bad feedback on Yobit almost once a week as I was victim of their inability to respond to simple transaction or to reply to customer support query in 10 days or more. Making the best ones mentioned was my goal and all the bad ones get bad rep anyway.

I think the problem with a lot of the smaller exchanges is that they get overwhelmed by the amount of support required from the clients. Obviously this isn't unique to the smaller exchanges, but they especially seem to be unprepared for how hands-on running a crypto-exchange is going to be. Simple customer support goes overlooked and then the entire company begins to fall apart. The reputation starts to dwindle, then people start to pull their funds out at the first chance they get which sends the company into panic mode and causes strange decisions to be made. Exchanges are having a tough time figuring out how to operate and unfortunately it seems to be the customers and early adopters that are going to take the brunt of it. I've seen some exchanges go months without answering support tickets regarding an uncredited deposits.

Gemini or Coinbase. Don't expect it within a day

It's always amusing to me when you can tell what country someone is from by the exchange they suggest. I'm going to assume you're from USA, because people from other countries tend to have trouble with CoinBase more than USA residents from what I can tell. Gemini is very popular in the USA, but you know what I will disagree with you about one thing; I've seen Gemini withdrawals pop into the bank account on the next business day. Initiated Tuesday and in the account by Wednesday, but this is not typical. I just wanted to let you know there is the possibility and that it does happen relatively frequently. Worst case I've seen from Gemini is about 3-days on a withdrawal. CoinBase tends to be more lengthy for deposits, withdrawals and verifiation.
