The reason BTC price fell so much is Bitfinex. Over $65 MILLION dollars (120kBTC) were 'stolen'. A lot of bitcoiners have now lost their trust in BTC, so we are basically loosing users. This is a bad thing, but everything will be good in a few months. The price may drop to even $250-$300, I wouldn't've thought BTC will fall again THIS much. I'm wondering what are all the rich users going to do now..
If people are losing their faith in BTC because of private, centralized exchanges being hacked due to their own weakness of security.. That seems to be a little far off point don't you think? These things normally happen because the company doesn't know bitcoin well enough to properly handle the protocol. That's like sending in a janitor that isn't trained for hazardous materials to clean up blood, and then losing faith in the blood when the janitor mishandles it and people get sick.

Hello Everyone,
Since last 1 week, The Bitcoin price is going down. Last week it was 650$+, Now 550$+. I don't know for what reason it is going down. So because of this price down, is there any change in your future plan?
I don't think bitcoin price effects gamblers much, they'll gamble even if the price is above $1000. bitfinex got hacked that's what driving price down, ~120k bitcoins were stolen. i'd deposited bitcoins there like 2 days ago since then hadn't withdrawn. That was pretty much my assumption as well. The Risk/Reward remains the same for gamblers, so if anything this gives us a chance to stock up on btc for the road ahead I wish you the best with your bitfinex deposit man, that sucks.

Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
That's a strange question because from my understanding nothing has a "stable" price. Have you ever done any research on Forex? The entire thing is trying to profit off the fluctuating prices of currency around the world. This would be impossible if they had a stable price, so I'm confused by the question to begin with However if you mean as stable as say a fiat currency, then I honestly don't think it would make any difference whatsoever in the popularity of BTC.

Are you asking this in reference to gambling? My bets will probably remain the same, but somehow I did manage to sell a bunch of coin at the $700 mark, you could consider that a gamble if you wish. I'll probably buy a few coins when it drops lower than $400, and gamble my night away

|
|
I literally had the gut instinct to sell all my coins @ $700/coin, and now I'm really happy I did it. The exploitation of these exchanges is just becoming old-news at this point. How many are going to get fucked for so much BTC before they realize that they need to stop it with the centralized exchanges and weak code. I'll see you guys at $300/Coin and double my supply

I'm not entirely sure what the best "alternatives" are for PayIvy, because I've only ever used it when it was forced upon me.. In the cases where it's the only option available for me to purchase a subscription or whatever. So whatever niche market it's trying to fill, I'm unsure.

That would be the fuel that bitcoin would need to go completely mainstream toward a mass public recognition. But alas that is not going to happen. Nintendo toting bitcoin is just a unicorn that is made from fantasy.
Does Nintendo actually have anything to do with Pokemon Go? I thought Niantic was a company branched off from Google. I'm curious, how would they implement bitcoin in a sustainable way other than just accepting it as payment?

I'm trying to get Pokemon GO in my area but i when i get the ones from other links and install it; i keep getting the failed to detect location error. Anyone got an idea how to actually fix this?
Are you asking about how to actually get pokemon go to run legitimately? Or are you asking about how to get the bot to run? I'm confused, but I do want to try and help

With this google search you will find all of the pokemon go bots in their github repositories with active development. That's pretty interesting because isn't against the ToS/Law to create these projects in the first place? Can these people get in legal trouble / banned for participating in the GitHub projects? Doesn't that make them the easiest targets of a ban? I've always been someone that encourages finding security flaws so they get fixed sooner rather than later, but be extremely careful treading that water.

I never trusted PayIvy to begin with because of how sketchy everything looked. It's like a classic template from a company that wants to steal your money.
I'm sure they're a legitimate company and aren't a scam, but the name "PayIvy" was pretty bad, now "Shophava"? Are they serious?.. Whoever is head of their marketing needs a serious talking to.

I highly doubt Donald Trump even knows the word "Bitcoin", so honestly it's not a bad idea. You can't penalize people for sending money to their family, that's idiotic. There's already fees forced on these people that they can't afford as it is, but indeed bitcoin would make their remittance a hell of a lot easier, cheaper too.

|
Absolutely. This would be one of those "bringing crypto to the masses" situation. So many people are addicted to that and imagine if somehow bitcoin was integrated.
Yeah, but then you have to step-back and ask yourself.. What is Niantic getting out of integrating bitcoin into their game? They have enough trouble keeping their servers up, I doubt they'd do anything revolutionary for something that may not benefit them at all, but it is a nice thought. I think "the masses" know about bitcoin for the most part by now. Now the only tune that needs to change is the level of acceptance

Only players in Australia, New Zealand, UK or US apply. Funds will be held in escrow.
I am paying 0.1 BTC per 5 levels. There is currently a waiting list (4), so please me patient.
If the following Pokemon consistently spawn in your area, contact me to arrange a separate pay-per-pokemon deal.
- Charmander - Gastly - Nidoran (male)
I am an expert Pokemon Go player from the US and I would love to train your Pokemon Go account. Mine is getting closer to 30 and it's not as satisfying to grind the higher-levels. I have a starter pokemon nest a block away from me where all the starter pokemon seem to spawn (including charmander in the rotation). Gastly is always out at night where I live, and Nidoran is extremely common as well. I am extremely quick at farming experience and pokemon.

Looking for someone to post interesting videos about themselves playing Pokemon Go and make references to the forum at pokemongogetters.com
Paying .01 - .1 depending on your youtube skills and current subscribers.
Would you have any interest in somebody who is dedicated, but doesn't currently have any subscribers/videos? I was thinking about starting a fresh youtube completely dedicated to Pokemon Go, and if you''d like I could make Pokemongogetters.com my point of reference for just about anything. As long as the bitcoin is worth it, the videos will continue coming and the youtube will grow specifically for the niche of pokemongogetters.com

Do the videos have to be based around your PoGo forum, or the videos need to be about Pokemon Go? If they have to be education/advanced videos for Pokemon Go users then I am definitely interested in making thorough, in-depth tutorials that explain the games finer points.

Do you have any idea how long you will have these giveaways go on for? Is there a limit of BTC that might stop these giveaways in their tracks? I only ask because I fear that your website may lose a lot of popularity once the incentive goes away. There's a big chunk of people there that are all about the money, maybe even some of your top posters now

For the most part people are talking about getting paid to play pokemon in bitcoins and I don't see this as a realistic idea.. If Pokemon Go implements bitcoin it would simple be to accept payments. Unless of course they were using the BTC for advertising purposes or to attract new players, but that is the least of their worries right now. They have too many players for their undermanned company.

I would highly advise anyone against actually using this on an account you care anything about. I'm sorry if I'm being redundant or stating the obvious, but whenever a new game like this comes out there is always a flood of modders/hackers until the first ban-wave hits like a tsunami. Then everyone who hacked will be complaining about how Niantic is a horrible company they never should've wasted money on.

The easiest explanation I can think of for rebroadcasting is:
#1 ShakinHandz wants to sell socks on a market and shouts "ShakinHandz selling socks for 0.01 BTC each" once. #2 Market network all pick up the message and shout it again once for each node of the network. Thus all participants quickly know the message (within seconds). #3 Some time passes and market participants forgot about the message. Other messages come in constantly. #4 I (or anyone else with a full node or using the above sites) can pick up the old message and shout it again, causing a new wave of market network shout outs. #4.1 If I would modify the message (malleability aside for a second) to say "ShakinHandz selling rocks for 0.01 BTC each" the network would detect it as invalid and possible exclude me from the market if I do it too often. #4.2 If I would not modify the message (it stays exactly the same), but modify the signature slightly (malleability attack) while keeping it valid, the network would confirm the message under a different TX ID. This can be a problem for follow up message (somewhere here the metaphor horribly breaks). Currently nodes do not allow for this modification so its very difficult and only works on old nodes.
I hope it helps even though the metaphor was only good for the rebroadacasting itself, not the possibly modified TX.
It definitely does help, because I was trying to wrap my head around where malleability comes into play, and the different manipulations that might take place. I appreciate the explanation
