Then he posted this and I made the ban permanent and also banned his alts (all 21 of them):

21 alts?!  I was giving him shit because I thought he had four or five.

Seriously...I think the Atlas Identifier only has like, six of them pegged now?

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out the other 15.  wtf man, I guess he really can disguise himself?! Tongue
Or maybe the other 15 are just 0-post nobodies.
2563  Other / Off-topic / Re: Atlas Recognizer -- Greasemonkey-, Chrome-compatible script on: December 16, 2011, 04:03:18 PM
This would have been great before, but him and all 21(!) of his alts were banned by theymos a couple days ago.  Still useful since theres tons of his posts everywhere.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54127.0  Ban discussion starts halfway down page 2.
Great work though  Wink

LOL

Christ, 21 alts! O.o
2564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the manipulator buying btc? on: December 16, 2011, 03:12:10 PM
damn, I need to implement an order book graph for my site
I just take screenshots a few times a day, but an animation of the change in

And speaking of order books, the bid side on Mt.Gox has been getting significantly deeper the past 2-3 days, and is now at 118,000 btc for $2.53. Is this real demand, or is this The Manipulator getting more subtle manipulation by placing lots of smaller bids?

I've been doing the same thing with the depth charts on bitcoincharts (saving the chart image a few times a day).  After a few weeks I hope to make a gif of all the images just to get a idea of how the order book ebs and flows.  It'd be nice if there was a slick looking historic depth chart.

Yes, the bid volume is getting quite high.  Down to $1.50 there are as many bitcoins demanded as there are up for sale on the whole ask side of the order book right now.  This is stating the obvious, but soon either somebody is going to kickstart things by liquidating a large position, or somebody is going to induce a relatively large step up (possibly up to ~$4.00).

I remain bearish overall, but I think the odds are in favor or the latter over the former.  If for no other reason that the past few large liquidations haven't induced further downward movement, and instead the price has either gone up after them or remained relatively stable.  I take that as a sign of stronger buying pressure for the time being.  It's only a matter of time before somebody with enough money thinking the same thing decides to grab what they believe is low hanging fruit.

proudhon bullish!  A Christmas miracle!

should we lock the thread?  Grin

I would, but this thread is for suggestions Tongue

Anyways, is everyone OK with the current list of replace-locations?
2566  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I am glad I have clowned around on this forum... on: December 16, 2011, 04:07:52 AM
^^^If anyone ever doubted my brash opinion of him, please read his drivel and rethink whether or not he needs medical attention. ^^^

I give it a week before he figures out how to use proxies and tries to post a 5 page thread telling everyone how he is 'fighting the good fight', how he "doesn't need us", and how theymos, an admin, is out of his reach for banning someone when the openly disrupt, slander, bribe and then belittle them.

What a fruitcake. Just in time for Christmas!

Holy shit is that Atlas ranting about being banned from an internet forum?

bahahahahahaha
2567  Other / Off-topic / Re: Atlas Recognizer -- Greasemonkey-, Chrome-compatible script on: December 16, 2011, 04:01:15 AM
Maybe it should replace the names with 'Unremorsefully Atlas' ?

LOL

Yes!  Can't believe I didn't think of that!   Grin

Check userscripts.org for the updated version!

edit: Right now it recognizes Atlas in:

2570  Economy / Gambling / Re: *[~BITLOTTO~ & ~BITLOTTO JR~ UPDATES]* Next draw is Jan 4! on: December 15, 2011, 03:31:57 PM
It has been down for an extended period of time.  I do not know why it is so hard and is taking so long to find a way to get it back up and running.  In the mean time I appear to be the only one to have entered the next lottery so I am certain to win!

Both entries are mine  Smiley
I know it is crazy! Kalyhost (Does the DNS) won't reply to my messages. I can't change that until they let me log in. I'm almost ready to just get another domain with someone else. It's frustrating me.... argh.

This month's lottery will probably suffer. At least the odds always scale with size. So even though the pot may be small at least the odds will be really good.

Kalyhost is a fucking scam.  Get out of there asap! Trust me... search them on this forum.
2571  Economy / Services / Re: How to profit from the stock market, doesn't matter which way the market goes on: December 15, 2011, 12:04:15 AM
Does it work with moderately large sums of money ($500K for instance)?
2572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] BitSyncom Press Release NYC DEC 15th, 6PM on: December 15, 2011, 12:00:31 AM
Is this related to dwolla's press release on the same day?
2573  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I am glad I have clowned around on this forum... on: December 14, 2011, 10:23:14 PM
It looks like the clowns at SA have finally thrown in the towel on their very unfunny "comedy" troll thread.

Lets make a pact everyone? If BTC's ever go to 1000K, lets pull a few coins together, buy out their shitty forum, and ban everyone in it.

Now that would be some comedy fucking gold.

I haven't been there since I paid my $9.95 during my Nikki the Bitch stage. I sure do miss her!

you didn't miss anything. it's pretty much devolved from a Bitcoin forum to a "Lets everybody pic on Atlas" forum

I like the idea of buying em out.  If you ever do this, PM me and I'll put in a coin.

Replaces Atlas' many usernames with "I Am Atlas."

Have fun.  Smiley

2576  Economy / Services / Re: How to profit from the stock market, doesn't matter which way the market goes on: December 14, 2011, 02:27:25 AM
any other takers?
Would you guys like to see more proves? I have a feeling that the screen shots are not really convincing, as people think there are other "hidden" transactions.
Predict 5 moves, or state 5 actions that someone should take, sufficient time beforehand. If you can do that consistently, then you show people that you can profit. This way you don't have to give away your scheme, but you can still show people that it works.
This strategy does NOT rely on being able to predict the future. If I tell you what actions to take, I would have given away part if not all of the secret.

Hmmm... sounds like a dividend strategy.

2578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis & other financial markets (bitcoinbullbear.com) on: December 14, 2011, 02:15:45 AM
new massive wall at 3.5 means?

I take it as a challenge

That guy is doing everyone who wants to see bitcoin become an online currency a huge favor.  Without that wall, if the exchange rate were to go over 3.40 the price could very quickly get out of control again, run up in another giant speculative bubble, and subsequently come violently crashing back down.  While that'd be a wonderful turn of events for speculators it would deliver another trust-destroying blow to the prospects of bitcoin as a currency.

I agree that the big sell wall will help dampen enthusiasm, which is good for bitcoin.  The price has been going up almost continuously for a month, setting an expectation of more price increases.  Though I think another bubble would be short-lived, it would be better to just not have one at all.

I've gone bearish, oddly enough, and I think the price is going to dip below $3 again sometime in the next month due to the holidays.  I've sold a few thousand btc over the past 2 days to keep the price below $3.25 (and my handiwork is clearly visible on the charts, which amuses me).  I'm all out now, and at a significant profit (I bought this batch at $2.2x).  I'll likely scoop up the coins again when/if they drop below $3, and if the price never drops again, well, I'm fine with that too - I'm just trying to keep the price relatively stable so that bitcoin is a useable currency.

I think I can speak for all Bitcoin users around the world that we certainly appreciate such a magnanimous gesture.

We found the Manipulator Stabilizer! Cheesy
2579  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Bitcoinica.com: you cannot withdraw BTC, not even using Mt. Gox redeem codes on: December 14, 2011, 02:13:47 AM
I have noticed that over half of the times when I try to withdraw USD or BTC from Bitcoinica using MT Gox redeem codes, I get the error that I have entered an invalid amount. Zhoutong explained that it is because of a limit on the amount of withdrawals they can make from their Mt Gox account. What it means is that there is no way to move a lot of money out of Bitcoinica. I have lost more than a few chances now because I was unable to move either bitcoin or usd out of Bitcoinica rapidly.

It's all a cynical plot by Mtgox -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=53315.0
They want to squeeze Bitcoinica and implement their own leveraged trading platform in January.  Truly despicable.
Sad
