As far as All Star, Wiggins was voted last year and proved himself. Probably if there is one person that need to step up, it should be Klay Thompson.

So far, his performance is not yet impressive though he has some impressive games, I mean the consistency is very important and so far KT does not have that consistency yet. Maybe on a 3 point shooting contest, he can comeback and try to win another trophy.

He came from a serious injury, no need to rush things, and besides, Klay is also not getting any younger, he can still be a great shooter but they'll never be as good as he was before. So the question is, is he still worth a huge contract? My answer is no, but a decent contract would do, Warriors should not forget that they will not win without Klay Thompson's big contribution in the playoffs and in the championships.

And so is Draymond Green's contribution for them, defense and he is cerebral player and instrumental of getting Durant but probably one of the reason as well for him leaving the team. But they proved everyone wrong when they won last season and Curry getting the MVP.

I think if I would to choose between the two, I might stay with Klay and give him the max contract.

But that's just me though, still up to the management what will be their decision in the end.

Probably, but I'm more inclined that Kevin Durant left the roster because he want to prove that he can make a championship team on his own without the help of the Warriors, and so he did but he didn't got the championship because a lot of drama happened when he joined the Nets. Hopefully now, we can see the Nets playing in the playoffs, let's see.

And for choosing between Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, it's best for the roster to give Klay the contract because they need Klay's contribution and his talent is also useful when it comes to defense. While Green is no doubt good, but giving a max contract? That's surely a loss for the team because he will be a liability 2 years from now. The Warriors should just give him a 2-year contract but the problem is Green won't accept if it's not a max contract.

Bad news for the Warriors as it seems that Curry has injured his shouldered and will be out for weeks. His injury was sustained to the Warriors lost to the Pacers.

Quote
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will miss “a few weeks” due to a left shoulder injury, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Curry suffered the injury on Wednesday during Golden State’s 125-119 loss at Indiana. He underwent an MRI on Thursday, which confirmed a left shoulder subluxation, per the team.
https://www.nba.com/news/stephen-curry-shoulder-injury-status

They have been struggling to get even the .500 mark in this season. And with Curry out, there woes might continue as they are way behind the top of the position in the West. Poole and Thompson will have to step up and carry the load, also Wiggins too.
Thompson isn't playing, Wiggins and Curry now have injuries and the team is 2-13 on the road. It seems that the team is struggling especially on the road.
I will not be surprised if they will make trades near or after all-star game because it seems that their defense is one the most awful ones right now in the league. It's very unfortunate as well to see Curry getting injured because he's the one carrying the team and scoring almost half of the team's total points until that injury, and he will miss a few weeks. Poole has been inconsistent as well, but I agree with you that him and Thompson as well as other role players must step up both offensively and defensively if they want to enter the playoffs and defend their title.

I think right now, it is going to be very difficult for them to qualify for the playoffs. They consider Stephen Curry to be the trump card for them and without Stephen Curry, it would be almost impossible for them to succeed because the carrier will no longer be available to them because of the absence of Stephen Curry.

They have to make some trades because the squad has suffered severe injuries. And I think it is high time that the whole team stopped depending on certain players. Now they have no choice but to win by themselves. Stephen Curry was the only player who consistently played well. All the other players have not been anywhere near as consistent as him. So, there are some hard times coming up for the warriors.

Great time for the future franchise players of GSW to shine now that Steph is out and some of the vets could not play on a consistent basis.
....

Voting for the NBA ALL-STAR will start pretty soon. I'm not really into this but I'm looking forward to the young stars that would likely get voted. Zion and Ja are already secured in my opinion and then you have Doncic and Tatum who are still in their early 20's.

This will be very challenging for GSW without their main superstar. They are already struggling and if they will only win 1 out of every 4 games without Curry, it might also mean that they can give up their goal to defend their title this season. But we never know, maybe all of a sudden the team will step up along with its young players.

It is interesting if there will be a new name in the coming All-Stars. Maybe someone from Utah Jazz if they are back in the winning column now that Markannen is playing again.

Yes, let's just see first what they can do in the absence of their main superstar who contributes the biggest points per game. Right now, there's already a lot of opinion that I heard regarding the Warriors situation after Curry's injury, some are saying that the team will crumble in the next games without their star but some also says that the younger players like Wiggins and Poole will start stepping up for the team just like what they did last season. The season have just started, so let's expect the unexpected because the NBA will have a lot of surprises.

ESPN having a good doubleheader on the air tonight. First up the Golden State Warriors vs the Philadelphia 76ers then the Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets. With no Steph I think the 76ers might be able to pull out a victory over the defending champs. The Lakers might struggle a bit playing against the Nuggets. Denver is just stacked these days. Lakers will need a good game out of LeBron and AD to get a W tonight.

For sure it's going to hurt them. But they still have Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson as you have said to carry the load for them. Lest we forget, they still have the championship DNA so don't count out the defending champion.

We are not even half of the season, so maybe once Curry is back, or even without him, they can still continue to win least improved their standing from 10th to 8th or maintain it and don't let slipped to 10th-12th. So that when Steph goes back, then can still make a great comeback before the end of the regular season.
This was not in the same place as his existing injuries, right? Then, hopefully he can really can come back in few weeks because GSW was going quite bad compared to a championship team and they desperately need Curry. And he was playing so amazingly. His shooting percentage and his efficiency in this season was about to be legendary for years to come. I don't understand the reason behind how GSW can be this bad after a championship season. Because of the contracts of players? Surely, we need to see character from rest of the team in Curry's absence and if they truly are champions, they have bounce back before it's too late.

They've got a lot of players to cover Steph. Klay, Poole and Wiggins are offensively contributor who they can lean in times like this,
maybe it's not an easy task but they can win game/s.

While Steph is still recovering, coach Kerr needs to balance his players. I'm not sure, but with the way they are playing, it seems that
the chemistries are not blended well.

Players and coaches need to address this before it's too late, not good for the defending champ being out in the upcoming
next round, too early to tell, though.

True, the Nuggets are in a 3 game winning form right now. Jamal Murray is really back and we have seen him tearing the NBA right now. And so Jokic is being relieved offensively and can focus on his passing.

For the Lakers this is a home game for them, their stat is not impressive at their own floor. In order to win against the Nuggets, Lebron and AD, specially AD should need to have a monster game and then the rest of the unit should contribute as well.

Poole and Wiggins and Klay all three will have their hands full, I am not sure if all three are uninjured and available to play to be fair, maybe one of them is injured too. But if they are all healthy, the offense will run through these three and they will have to carry the scoring load.

This is a 30+ point guy we are talking about they are missing, so they will combined need to make 30+ more points together, will take more shots of course, but considering how efficient Curry has been, it is going to be hard to do it at the same amount of shooting as well. Plus, the spacing will not be the same, curry gets defences even before half court, whereas these players won't and that's a difference too.

Warriors to begin with have been underperforming this regular, and now having to go several weeks without Stephen Curry will surely put their whole season in a bit of jeopardy, and also given the fact that they're barely clinging to that 10th position, the last in the play-in tournament.

Warriors would in my opinion have been in better shape or situation if they had kept a couple their role players from last season, I'm sure a healthy  Juan Toscano-Anderson, Nemanja Bjelica and Damion Lee will all come in very handy right and will help reduce the amount of work loads on their starters.

Thompson averages 18.7 points per game, and I think he's still far from his prime because of that injury. Meanwhile, Green can be good for the team on defense, but his offense is weak because he averages just 8.1 points per game. So I think both players aren't performing well enough, and they shouldn't expect to get a max contract. However, if Warriors management has to choose between Green and Thompson, then they should keep Thompson.

If I'm not mistaken, this is a new set of injury for Steph, so we will have to see what will be the extend but obviously it was reported that he will be out for weeks based on the initial findings by their team. They are bad or not as good last year because there have been a complete overhaul of their second unit. Their second unit was a big boost last year, with Payton Jr anchoring their defense, Juan Toscano Anderson, Damion Lee, Otto Porter and Bjelica which is a solid coming from the bench.

Now their second unit is not performing, so all the anchor is on Steph who is having a good statistical seasons, but it took a toll on his body and we all know that he is getting old as well.

I actually think they will be fine without steph.  Think they will gel as a team and Poole will step up.  Gonna take the Poole over in points props most games.  He is going to get a ton of shots and defenses will focus on klay.

They are not fine for losing Curry for several games we know they need his scoring and presence in the court. They are struggling this season and might this will add up to their burden knowing Curry perform very well so they might missed that performance for several weeks of his absence.

And Pool is their another option which is close to curry maybe he will let this guy handle the scoring or they will let Thompson their number one option on that.

Suns went back to their regular settings after 5-game losing streak. It was rather easy when Reggie Jackson, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac was out for Clippers. Basically Clippers accept this loss before the game start. Terance Mann showed himself when there is noone else on the team. Brandon Boston Jr. used this opportunity for good, scored 16 points. I don't think he'll find a spot in rotation when injured players come back though.
Devin Booker missed too many shots, Mikal Bridges was the best player for Suns. While Deandre Ayton was away Jock Landale got good minutes, Okogie had a solid game.
It was an important win at the right time as they were far from first place, Memphis Grizzlies have a 7-game winning streak. Things are changing fast in Western Conference.

Adding Payton Jr. for the defense as well, those names you mentioned are players who can make a good impact when playing either with other starters, giving stars a good time to rest while the system is still running the same.

The Warriors stats during this regular season seem to be very different. They've got their starters and
have good role players, but they are not performing the way fans and viewers are expecting them. Especially
in their road games, something is really not working right with them this season.

None of them made a huge step up this season except Stephen Curry, this time, the best 3-pointer in the league is said to be out for a while like 3-4 weeks then that gives time for Thompson and Wiggins to shine. Both of them should work to balance things, and there's Poole and the rest of the roster to help them while Curry won't be around.

I am not worried about the Warriors. They are very stacked and missing the service of Steph Curry for a few weeks may get them more losses, but it is still very early in the season. The Warriors have played 29 games out of 82 of the seasons. Looking at the bright side, this could open up opportunities for their secondary units to shine and show their worth. Other players may get more minutes because of this.

They tried to compare him with Wembanyama which I really didn't find any significant on gameplay, they are hyping the kid to get huge attention but it didn't justify yet the comparison. But its undeniable that Bol Bol improve this season maybe he need to sustain or improve more his performance and make sure that he's always in good shape maybe those past issues will gone to him 25.6 minutes playing time is decent already so he need to be more consistent to sustain that minutes and got decent exposure on court.
Well, talking about this subject

Guys, I would like to know your opinion about Wembanyama and other future unicorns that may exist in the NBA.

Do you believe that the NBA will have several players with this profile in the future? Regarding your body type, taller than (213 cm/7'0"), fast, with great ball handling and an excellent shot? (for example Wembanyama, Porziņģis (in his prime), BolBol, Holmegreen and others?)

I think we will see more of this type of player in the future because they are what teams are seeking right now. Before Kevin Durant, most centers focus only on defending and scoring in the paint, just like Gobert. But now, centers that have point guard abilities like Jokic is in demand. They need to know how to handle the ball, pass, and shoot from beyond the arc. I believe the training for young, very tall athletes has now been adopted to fit this need.

The Golden State Warriors should try to fill Steph Curry's 30 PPG and take note that it's always a consistent performance for him.

It's also worth noting that even though Curry does some monster stats per game, the Warriors sometimes still lose.

Let's see the adjustment of their players, especially those who enjoy and signed a big contract with the team during the off-season. Smiley

Yes, 76ers might get this one but the Warriors will possibly make it hard for them especially Kuminga who is trying to step up his game and impress the Warriors' management. He must savor the minutes that will be given to him and maximize them to up his stats.

Also, sad to say, the Christmas day game of Warriors vs Grizzlies won't be that much fun anymore without Curry around.
I was really counting to be entertained on that day especially the rivalry between Curry and Ja Morant.

The only good news is no surgery will be done.

The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Curry will be sidelined for at least two weeks. Curry will not require surgery and is expected to return to the court in about a month, Charania reported during an appearance on Bally Sports.

Kyrie Irving hit an incredible game winner tonight to beat the Raptors at the buzzer with a three on a step back. A rare piece of good news for Kyrie after all his recent drama with Nike and his Twitter post.

The Warriors lost as expected. They showed flashes of brilliance but their depth just isn’t what it used to be. They’re suffering from the cuts they had to make to re-sign their big 3.

It's a travelling violation but... who cares. It's the NBA and they don't call travelling violations especially when a player is on a fast break.
Removing the violation, Bol Bol is the one who is rising now on the Magic who is now on a 5-game winning streak.

Many are eyeing on Wembanyama because of how versatile he is but can we just look on how Bol Bol is playing. He can pass, he can defend, he can make fastbreaks, he can shoot, he's tall. He's like a Giannis version 2.0 or well it isn't that close still but give him more time and he can develop his skills even further. The problem that I'm seeing is his body frame. Since he's very thin compared to other 7-footer big players out there, he's more prone to injuries.

Forget Wembanyama and don't overhype that kid. We already have Bol Bol who is rising right now, and he can also do the things that Wembanyama can do (or at least most of them). He might be included in the Most Improved Player as long as he will not get injured the whole season and TBH, he might win it if he will be a candidate.

Bol Bol Is really a great addition to the Orlando Magic, I think the referee is not aware of what Bol bol is doing fleeing from coast to coast of the court, and because of his weird movement because of his long limbs it is not really visible, but we can not deny that this kid really has potential in making it big someday and there is still room for improvements  so that is it,

Well Victor Wembanyama is a different player than Bol Bol and I think we can not really compare the two Victor Wembanyama is still a draft prospect for the 2023 NBA while Bol Bol is now playing and showing great potential along with Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner this new generation has proven that there are diamond with the draft that needs to be polished to let you see their true shine and worth and I think the Orlando Magic is lucky enough to get them good Diamonds this season and if they are not lucky enough to enter the play-offs then there are a big chance for the next season and could polished this young guns true shine and potential,

If Curry can't play for 2 weeks, it would be a really big opportunity for other players. If they lose a match because Curry is not playing, they will suffer a huge loss, so the players who will replace Curry must show a very high performance.

To be honest, All Star matches are not as enjoyable as they used to be, the most wanted players in the voting system are not my favourites.
Still, I think this year will be better than last year Smiley

Well, I am really not that nervous if Stephen Curry is not playing for the Warriors as I see this as a great opportunity for the Golden State Warriors to try out their 2nd unit, and they still do not have their mini Stephen Curry that can make the play for them, but this will surely push Jordan Poole to be the best player like he used to be and along with Klay Thompson we have a mini splash, well even though that Stephen Curry is the focal point on the Warriors offense I still think this is a great opportunity for the Warriors to try something new, they can always throw Jordan Poole as the mini replacement for Stephen Curry, and along Poole, we have Klay Thompson is a crucial player for the Warriors Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevon Looney, and their 2nd unit will be Jonathan Kuminga, JaMychal Green, James Wiseman, and their new rooster or we can say hidden gems that may unlock their potential in Stephen Curry's absence, are Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Lamb, but we will see if what the Golden State Warriors will do,
