2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the safest coin to stake? on: February 26, 2022, 10:16:05 AM
everything has a risk, it is not easy to predict the future, anything can happen. ETH is very strong for the future there is no doubting that but choosing the MATIC coin is the right choice for the future with full of risk and the possibility of big profits because the price is still under $3
for security believe no one is safe for the possibility of taking profits, big risks for big profits.
If you look at the advantages of the two coins you mentioned, I am still very confident in Ethereum than Matic even though the price of Ethereum is already very expensive and when compared to the current price I think the profits could be more if Ethereum can find a new ATH again in the year this, and for Matic it's not that bad actually, just to increase to 100% it looks very difficult in the current market conditions.
For staking, we usually check which coins/tokens have a higher APY that we possibly get, not the name. Like if we can see Matic is higher APY compared to ETH, you surely choose Matic instead of ETH. I'm not going to deny that if that happens to me. I use flexible staking which I can withdraw my funds anytime so staking not known coins is safe unless we are using new and non-reputable exchanges. Of course, not a hundred percent safe and we know that already.

2463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be banned in the EU starting from 2025 if ... on: February 26, 2022, 07:59:05 AM
Well, 3 years left isn't worrying, right?  We can just think about what gonna happen in 1 year or in 3 years, kinda we see more changes on the market, and that "IF" turns to "F" failing to ban Bitcoin. Hearing more FUDs isn't healthy anymore, I hope the government will help instead of contradicting the development.

I'm not sure but maybe they could appreciate Bitcoin 3 years from now and change their plan, they will support Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. They can't be blind forever and seeing the growth of Bitcoin users will help them realize that it needs support, not criticism or banning.
2464  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia gives in and considers accepting bitcoin exchange on: February 25, 2022, 11:46:18 PM
Better for them. If they banned Bitcoin it is not going to make the millions of people who are already Bitcoin investors there to stop buying and selling Bitcoin. People would still continue as long as they have started. I know a few where the government banned Bitcoin all of a sudden and people quickly decided that it was best for them to switch to peer-to-peer exchanges.

So, the government’s are just wasting their time with banning Bitcoin, because it never works. The smart ones would not ban Bitcoin, rather they would legalize it and welcome crypto companies and exchanges into their country, and use that as an opportunity to benefit from cryptocurrency.
What is important is that they have shifted already into a smart move now, and that to accept bitcoin exchanges that will open more opportunities for the country to be more developed. But i think this is not the focus of Russia right now as their government is still in war with Ukraine who happens to legalize bitcoin too after them. Well its hard for the citizens in Russia right now to withraw in fiat since their banks are also given sanctioned by US, so maybe this is the best time to shift their savings into bitcoin as they can transact it anytime and everywhere they want.
I guess they'll do what seems to be the best for their people. I'd find it not for personal interest but this seems to be a favorable decision by the majority. What happens to Russia in regards to legalizing is a way it helps to make this technology going better and stronger. I'd already visualized this thing before, developing countries will adopt crypto as it was proven that has great help to improve the economic life of individuals. Kinda they don't want to miss it seeing small countries are into it already.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find ICOs worth investing? on: February 25, 2022, 09:40:42 PM
Unfortunately, 99.99% of all of those projects do not really have anything positive for the market and they just take money without getting anything back. I do not know what could be a method where we could stop people to just start a project whenever they want. I keep saying that a project would take maximum of 1 or 2 hours to build, and then a bit of money to do marketing and it shouldn't be this easy.

We should be focusing on something that would be a lot better in the sense how we could end up stop it, if we could stop it then we could be doing better because there will be only just good and decent projects unfortunately that is not the case right now and all these shitcoins are hurting the market.
There are no stopping from the rampant case of scam projects. Almost all of the new projects coming in the market are not that reliable and have turn to scam projects before we knew it. So if you aim of looking to invest for some worthy ICOs, that will be very hard these days. I suggest to never take risk investing in them, just go with bitcoin and reliable altcoins that have been profitable in the market. There are also some valuable projects that have became profitable in short term, but always take caution before investing in them.
We've better not or else, we just lose our money and time with these ICOs. In fact, their time has been done already, we have to face the fact that ICO has no value in the market now. There are good and reliable projects in the market(not ICO) which I think was the best option. I think we have to move on and encourage people to forget about ICO because the truth is that they are already passing by, there are new projects creations that are worth enough compared to them.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: scammers with their everyday strategies on: February 25, 2022, 08:45:40 PM
Scammers will never stop coz they know that they can still find people to scam and their strategies are still working. But they will fail if we are too careful and able to control our greediness.

Well, congratz OP for being a detective of your own. You have found it suspicious and never click it. That scammer is very unlucky with you but I know there are more innocent/newcomers who have been a victim of this unless they have their instinct to check the link first before clicking.
2467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 25, 2022, 02:28:15 PM
Those handicaps for GSW, Denver and Boston all are well covered if I get your point right. If anyone managed to parlay those three

the earnings are huge, not just 5 but more than that for sure. Let see if who among our active poster here who managed to take those

and win. Just check the game between GSW and Blazers. I was i the impression that Curry continue his hot hands, to my surprise he only has 18 points,

it's the whole cast of GSW who made the gap so wide.

Including Phoenix Suns. I won three of them but didn't put in a parlay. I just hate it sometimes when I lose 1 of many and it's a close one to cover the spread. That's why I am only doing single bets on team wins right now.

Yeah, Curry was in the mood to be the quarterback for the team while Draymond Green is still healing from his injury and it worked. 14 assists and he also showed some defense with 1 steal (I think it should have been 2 but he didn't get the ball) and 1 block. That's the new Steph for now until their playmaker comes back.

I love what the Warriors did, Curry does not need to score a lot, he just needs to move the ball well and get everyone involved, that way they are move effective and they can easily win. It's been a while since I saw the Warriors dominating their opponent, they are just back here, and hopefully, we will see some consistency going forward.
2468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 25, 2022, 01:45:55 PM
Wow! Boston Celtics really dominated the Brooklyn Nets. Something to look out for, this Celtics team is getting better after letting go of Schroder.
Cheers to all the winners of that. I got myself a perfect win today.

A bad start for the Warriors and Steve Kerr didn't like the first half performance but they did better on the 2nd half to bring it in a blowout game.
Steph Curry is the player of the game with 18 points 14 assists. Interviewed about the assists, it's lack of Draymond that's why he is doing the playmaker style. Thanks to that 8 Warriors players have double digits in points.

Thanks mate, i have tail you on the Nuggets and they really made it good and cover the spread. Jokic also got a triple double, just missing 1 assist.

First win for me after the all star break. And congrats for your perfect win, I only bet one game for the whole game tonight. But it's enough for me to get a win and I'm happy with that.

I'm seeing some bettors here won the Nuggets bet, looks like it's an easy bet and a good start after the all star break.

There are some interesting games tomorrow that I feel like putting a bet.

Dallas @ Utah
Pelicans @ Phoenix.

I'm thinking of betting on the home team.
2469  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment? on: February 25, 2022, 12:40:49 PM
Is Bitcoin the best investment at the moment?I've been trading options on BTC for about three years now, and I've made significant gains, how does everyone invest?
I don't think it is a need for you to ask...Like making a picture of the result of your 3 years in crypto trading, that quite it proves how profitable is this. Honestly, I have no doubt about it like this is always profitable. So, don't make yourself doubt about this also, you are on the right track anyway and you can earn more possible in the years coming, it is only a need for your consistency and retain your strategies.
2470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 26, 2022 on: February 24, 2022, 03:36:39 PM

And as expected, Jerwin is the favorite to win 1.16, Fernando Martinez 5.20.

Seriously? I can't believe that Ancajas is heavily favored here with that kind of odds, I think it will be around 1.50 and below, but that is too low, I mean who would take 1.16? It's not even a sure win IMO.

By the way, what sportsbook is your basis for the odds?

Actually 1.15 at sportsbet.

There are no alternative lines now, only the Moneyline, you can get 1.15 for Ancajas while 5.20 for Martinez.

Game ended, 101-103, Northport beat the Magnolia.

This NP team is really a good team, sometimes they just fall short and loss the game but they can really compete with good teams in the PBA. Arwin Santos is still not getting old, he played well in this game and contributed for the win, don't know why SMB let him go.
Such a big game for NP, and I'm shock that they are the team that landed the first loss for Magnolia.

They are really good, their imports did a great job and yes they are just falling short on their past 5 games and maybe they have a good team work now. They still have the chance to stay in the competitions I guess, as long as they keep this momentum and they are able to win all their remaining games which is not easy for them. Not a surprise anymore if they beat top teams this time.

Beating the Magnolia is not a joke, this team has a chance to upset the top teams in the PBA now. If they will be given an opportunity to be in the elimination, then for sure they are a threat, their import is just too good.

2472  Other / Archival / Re: Why you shouldn't invest in NFT tokens on: February 24, 2022, 01:28:59 PM
NFT got its popularity because of the hype they made together with these media influencers and known personalities. Because if we think about their natural value and their use-case, that seems actually missing in the market. Their existence is quite interesting at first but for now, it was messed in the market that it looks not encouraging anymore.

There are very few quality NFTs, in fact finding them is more difficult than finding potential coins. Even though Opensea is the main NFT trading platform, there is a lot of rubbish NFT there. What I emphasize is how the NFT community usually determines the quality of NFT, even NFT memes are more popular while NFT which has very little utility is not even popular.
Oversea platforms and their impressive performance couldn't save the other NFT projects that we believe are useless.
2473  Other / Off-topic / Re: Trying to secure my PC on: February 24, 2022, 12:45:44 PM
Is there any strong antivirus I can use to safeguard my PC from malware? I have few coins that runs wallet only on PC but it's very easy for PC to get compromised that's why I'm looking for a safer tool that can fight Trojans and malwares.
Paid antivirus/malware is of its advantage compared to free apps but of course, these never give you the 100% safety of your PC as sometimes we bypass warning to have their way to coming in. We are definitely prone to any viruses and one thing we could secure our keys is not to keep them in our PC, writing it don in a piece of paper is highly recommended.

2474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 23, 2022, 07:19:06 PM
Is it me or this is one of the worst dunk contest I ever watched? I think the one that is best for me is the 2016 All star dunk contest, I think it's better to have a Aaron Gordon vs Zach LaVine rematch I would want to see those two competing to dunk contest again, I hope we would have a good one next year.

Yeah I find it boring as well.
We have all seen those common dunks, but what else an NBA player can do when they don't really specialized in being creative on their dunks, they are trained to win games not to win a dunk contest. So, If there are good dunkers in the NBA, then lucky if they want to participate in the dunk contest If they won't then this is the kind of outcome we are expected to see.
It is already given, not every year we see a Vince Carter like or Aaron Gordon and Zach Lavine like NBA dunkers.

Yup I think anyone who has followed the NBA for years knows that this year's NBA slam dunk is kinda soft. No highlights dunks that we can remember for years.

And speaking of Vince's winning the slam dunk in 2000, just watch it a couple of minutes ago. Yeah, it was really huge that time, we haven't seen that kind of dunks before.

That dunk that gave him a win is one of the standards of the fans, so it's not surprising that they are disappointed with what they sew in the slam dunk contest. Well, that's it, it's over, let's hope that next year will be better so fans will forget this boring slam dunk contest.
2475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Giving Bitcoin to Employees on: February 23, 2022, 02:15:59 PM
This is something that brings a lot of progress, honestly it is not only a way to encourage everyone to learn about BTC but it makes employees open their minds to a new economic technology, it is also necessary that when they accept the salary in BTC that it is very volatile, that from one moment to another its value can go down, as well as go up and generate much more profitability, that it depends on each one of them if they want to have it in Hodl mode or not.
That’s right, and it’s also going to benefit the workers on a long term. If the workers should decide to be storing the Bitcoins that are being sent to them for future purpose, such as a pension, then it’s really going to help them a lot, because in the next five to ten years, the Bitcoins would be worth a lot more than what it is worth today, and then can decide to use for whatever they want. If it happens that they have retired by then, they can use the money to start up whatever it is that they would like to start in the future, it’s really going to help them.
Depends on how they've been educated about bitcoin or their awareness of it because they wont be tending on accepting as bitcoin as their salary if they arent aware on what it is.
So as an owner of the company then he should really at least give out some basic information on whats bitcoin and make it as an option for their salary.
If they do then they do really have that kind of opportunity on earning more in the future when the value would risen up.
I think it was optional either they wanted to get paid with Bitcoin (those who are aware of it) or fiat for those who are not. But this seems not in a comfortable way knowing the value of Bitcoin will sometimes drop making them lose a few bucks. We can understand that situation as we are in this crypto world for many years but for those who are new, that gonna be in question and probably they will choose fiat over Bitcoin.
2476  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to SODL on: February 23, 2022, 01:18:16 PM
Time for another round of profit taking if we hit 1200$.
You are trying to fool people into becoming hopeless which I believe that $1,200 is not possible. But I get your point here, you are testing them on how to become strong and manage to face the crisis. If they will sell their crypto, some investors went happy and you are helping them any way.

Well, I'm also preparing for that moment comes, I have a plan to buy more. Every dip seems like an opportunity to buy, so I just let people make decisions to sell their coins and take advantage of the market.
2477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 22, 2022, 02:04:02 PM
I know I’m a little late here but did anyone else gamble on the nba all star game? I’m not sure why I thought it would be a good idea being that it’s just a silly exhibition game but I guess I was bored. I put a few bucks on Team Lebron at -6 and I knew by the start of the 3rd quarter I was losing it all as it was just a silly back and forth. Anyways , last time I do that with this format.
I guess some of us here lost our bet because Team Lebron was really a strong team on paper, but since it was just an exhibition game, the defense was not so present and they just score back and forth, Team Lebron won but that -6 did not win. Just bounce back when the season resume. GL
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 12:51:38 PM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.
It has been anticipated already. Perhaps, the dump is inevitable and we are already aware of that possibility as surely it will come in no specific time. It is not a thing to worry about, yeah, unless if we are too emotional and can't manage ourselves to handle these changes.

Honestly, the market looks very interesting in a way that the volatility of the market still working. I'm don't know how "brainwashed" is all about as what I understand the market is really surprising and unpredictable.
2479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Words of advice on: February 21, 2022, 01:44:36 PM
It is really tempting once some talk about money and especially when the mentioned x2, x3 and soon with your capital. Those who are greedy individuals will take the bait so easily. But later on, surprisingly regrets will come into their mouth saying they got scammed.

Being aware of this situation is very important but we couldn't think that these scammers and hackers will stop. No, they are getting smarter and they can still get a victim because not all of us were into the mind thinking that there is no easy money in real life.
2480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 19, 2022, 09:44:53 PM
I go with that mindset. It's better for them to create their own destiny,

Instead of comparing or being the next Pacman, it's much better to be known with a self identity
as long as they are excelling with this sport, pinoy fans will recognize them and idolized them, many
young generations will follow the path that they are journeying right now. Good luck to every pinoy
fighters and continue to work harder.
Exactly, after all even if someone in the future is as good as Manny they are going to be a completely different person, for example I find Manny to be a very likable individual however that does not means that the next star of of Philippines will be the same and will be loved by the public as much as Manny was, so it is better to let boxers to forge their own story, that way instead of a cheap imitation of Manny we will see who they truly are, and to me that is way more attractive.

Every boxer with good potential that will come out in the Philippines will be compared to Pacquiao's achievement it's possible we have up and coming boxers because of the inspiration brought by Pacquiao to the local Philippine boxers, they can be as good as Pacquiao but to equal what he achieved is almost impossible, they will have to trail what Pacquiao has undergone, they must start in the lowest division like a flyweight division to have a chance to equal the 8 belt championship.

I'm not expecting anyone either to be as good as Pacquiao, but to be a champion is already enough. We already have a lot of Filipino champions that we didn't have before Pacman became popular in boxing, it's a blessing and Pacman was there to help the Filipino boxers that has a potential to get bigger fights under his promotion.

Not only that, Pacman helped his fellow countrymen boxers to be known as one of the best race to lace up in a boxing ring.
It's true, Pacman's achievement is such a tough act to follow, but who knows, even Ancajas has a shot to this, but then again, it takes a lot of sacrifice, talent, and dedication to achieve what Pacquiao has achieved his entire career.

Some information regarding the fight, it can be seen here.
https://champinon.info/schedule/ancajas-vs-martinez/#close

As per the article, the odds of Ancajas is "Ancajas to win: 1/3"... I cannot confirm it since my bookie has not listed the fight yet. By the way, the date in the OP should be changed to February 26.
