1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you introduce Bitcoin to people without digital literacy? on: August 05, 2022, 10:04:12 PM
That actually gives them curiosity and interest if they clearly understand it but the problem is with their position. They don't have the tools and gadgets for them to try in an actual scenario which I think is the easiest way to teach these kinds of people. It can't just be done to education and giving books to read as it is only forgotten.

I really find it hard and our effort and time might just be wasted after all. If I were you, I'd just pick some of them, probably those young minds as I believe they are easy to understand.
1902  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Futures Trading is not for everyone on: August 05, 2022, 01:07:45 PM
Not only future trading it's also clear that trading is also not for everyone When the person goes into trading with little knowledge. There is no saying that little knowledge is dangerous. There's one more reason that is greedyness. Many times people get greedy and face huge losses by trading in the wrong place. And future trading is more likely gambling and it's kind of difficult from spot. So I think every benigner should start with spot don't go future at first Otherwise you will be also face the same .
I tend to agree. And it was wrong to underestimate trading and just think it was easy because many had failed and left after losing a lot.
If we are already confident in spot trading and already earning some, we better stay there and consider this the right place for us. Maybe we can try future trading as we already have some experience and also to know which is better. But for beginners, this is a wrong decision and just encourages them to go first spot trading.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 05, 2022, 03:44:08 AM
I understand your point as in the first place, the trilogy will not be initiated and planned for long if there are no doubts and questions about the first result on which Canelo claimed he won already twice that's why before, he's not interested in the trilogy. In fairness though with Canelo, he really shows explosiveness in that fight but it's just that, the entire match is close that any judges will have difficulty scoring.

And since Canelo is the current "cash cow" there are speculations and rumors that judges might be favored him. But that won't be easy as in the event that GGG shows pure dominance in most rounds, I doubt there will be an unfair judgment on the result.

I raised this topic (jury bias) a few weeks back, because I saw the same during the Bivol vs Canelo fight. Bivol completely dominated the fight between these two, but in the end the scorecard(115-113, 115-113, 115-113) was a lot closer than what I thought it should have been. The writing on the wall is clear. Canelo is the cash cow and he needs to be saved at any cost. A second consecutive defeat will not only sink his career, but will also cause huge losses to firms such as Golden Boy and DAZN.

Really something that GGG should be ready of, he cannot just let the judges to dictate the outcome again, he should win via KO so no more biases. Well, I know GGG understands that already, so for sure he will be training hard to ensure that he would get a convincing win.
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 05, 2022, 02:50:58 AM
I prefer to just see him keep fighting champs for a title, he could start with Tank.
I think he will have a problem against Tank, this champion is fast and aggressive at the same time, this should be a great fight but honestly, if that will happen, I'd probably back Tank to win on the battle.
1905  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we at the bottom? no one knows, but market is doing fine. on: August 04, 2022, 11:39:38 PM
market is doing fine.
How much deeper market gonna dive? Many believe we are near bottom. And there is a big reason for it. Market acting surprisingly fine despite everything.

Not that is what I see. I even think that we're done already, in fact, as you can the price of Bitcoin becomes stable above $20k for a couple of weeks which means that we are leaving the bottom already which is $18k (not the exact price). I don't think those "many " as you have mentioned are certainly aware of the situation or just making their speculation based on the wrong information.

The market is already fine. However, you can also think that many factors that could affect the momentum and possibly change the trend from time to time. So I suggest for you OP to keep calm and easy.
1906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 04, 2022, 06:59:28 AM

Crawford also said that if this fight won't happen this year then he will go for Jermell Charlo in the super welterweight so that he will at least have one fight this year after all the waiting game of Spence.

That's a great idea, why would he wait for Spence if the champion is afraid of him, fighting Jermell Charlo and beating him will give Crawford another recognition and it will surely make him ahead of Spence in terms of ranking if he is not yet ahead now.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 04, 2022, 06:36:08 AM
Well this name pops up: Dennis Schroder

We all remember him for turning down that huge $80+ million offered by him by the Lakers (its a 4 year extension). And we are all correct, and it could be the biggest regret of his career. As he sign with the Celtics and then we forgot what team he landed after that.

Anyone of them can still be a good acquisition for a team perhaps the roles though. Howard and Cousins could be a good back up center.

he will always be remember since he turned down a huge amount of money thinking that his value is more than that

only to end up signing for a lesser contract. It's an upset because after that Lakers huge offer no one gives him any closer to
what Lakers ask him to sign for his extension, he got the talent but with how rookies are showing now, teams are more interested
with young guns who can play and improve for a longer period, but we can't close the book. All those mentioned names are still
a good pick for a role player's job.

LOL this guy  Dennis Schroder is probably regretting now, he won't be able to get that kind of contract again as he is not anymore on his prime. I hope he can still find a team to play with, he should be a big help as a 2nd unit. Any update or rumor about this guy?
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to take profits? on: August 03, 2022, 11:15:00 PM
I am mostly a hodler no matter the market going down or up. But sometimes I get the advice to take some profits.

Example: my investment of 300 euro becomes 500 euro. Is it better to take out my initial investment or only take the profit ? And reinvest that profit ?

How do you guys do this ?

I just feel like i'm missing potential profits by not selling and seeing my potential profits go up and down.
The only way we can generate profit is to sell them high. As you can see in your portfolio, it was quite growing a little bit, and selling them earning $200 euro could be somewhat great. You can sell them all and reinvest them again or just get the 200 euros. Honestly, nothing happens with our money and we don't need to keep them asleep because, in the end, we become a loser missing out on the chance to earn profit. As you can see, active traders earn more profit compared to holders because they can possibly earn some every day, unlike holders who will just have some if they will sell which is not happen every day but for months or years.
1909  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 03, 2022, 10:47:20 PM
Many people are expecting Bitcoin to go down to 10k before they start investing, well not a bad idea but sometimes your expectations might not come true, just because bitcoin was 3700$ in match 2020 doesn't mean we might see 10k per Bitcoin, remember it was because of CoViD that's why BTC plummeted to 3700$, the best strategy is DCAing, 17500$ per BTC weeks ago was a good opportunity honestly, for the short time some said but might be the last for the long term too, instead of guessing and making predictions avoid sitting on your hands and do nothing.
One of the most common mistake of people is that they dont really put up some action or movement whenever they do saw the market is declining but instead they are freaking out on whats happening

rather than seeing these moments or events to be the sweetest spot for you to take action because if the market do make out some reversal then you wont be ending up on regretting just because

you had missed out the opportunity to get in and this had been always the case and people who do make out actions then are the ones who do make money as simple as that.
Factors are,
 * looking for the bottom
 * influence of negativity
 * worry that it dumps more
This is why many investors missed their chance to buy at a cheaper price but they bought during the bull season. A very common mistake to happen to those who are not really familiar with the market and those who give weight to this fake news and FUDs. Anyways, this is the nature of the investment, some have weak hands and a negative mindset.
1910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 03, 2022, 07:48:35 AM
I believe that Curry would still be a great player if Kerr wasn't their coach.

Stephen Curry creates his own specialty as his advantage and the process is successful.

He sucks at inside scoring before and can't even do a good defense. When he entered the NBA, lots of big men are dominating the league at that time. He thinks of a way how to be a useful player so he decided to enhance his shooting ability in the 3pt area and that's the start of how he changed the most offensive plays that are now being used now in the league. No need for him to always drive the ball inside for a sure shot.

That was Curry's own plan for his development that's why regardless if Kerr wasn't their coach, the result is just the same.

I mean that’s how Curry’s game has been I would imagine his whole career. At least that’s how his game has been since he was at Davidson in college. I’ll never forget I was in Madison Wisconsin visiting my sister and as we were leaving a diner I saw Curry’s photo on the local newspaper being heralded as the star of the tournament. I remember thinking to myself he’d never turn out to be anything special..boy was I wrong.

You are lucky to had a chance to probably see him in person, for us who are living outside US, our best chance to see him is on live television only. Of course Curry is special, he change basketball and he is dominating it now, though some are not convinced yet that he is the greatest active NBA player now, but his achievement will prove that as continue proving.
1911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 03, 2022, 07:31:24 AM
Overall, they have a chance but they need to defeat the TNT first that has Mikey Williams and RR Pogoy.

Let's enjoy while watching the games today Smiley.

Well, of course, it's a tough job but with their great defense, who knows. Calvin is playing like a beast, if he could stop Mikey Williams, then the winning chance of the Magnolia will increase. Game 1 is very important, right now, TNT is leading but it's still too early to tell as we know Magnolia is not a good starter.
1912  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we hodling BTC or we are hodling Fiat?? on: August 02, 2022, 11:48:02 PM
I am doing both - I can't just afford to hold BTC without touching it and sometimes converted to fiat money for some reason. And since Bitcoin is not already accepted in my place I was really holding fiat and using it while considering Bitcoin solely as my investment.

Because for now, the majority had considered Bitcoin as a form of investment. Even though we can use it to purchase and pay bills but the situation in many places wasn't it was not yet legal and accepted pushes people to just hold and the use of fiat in major transactions remains.
1913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2022, 04:51:34 AM

Judging from the poster alone, it seems to me that this will be a sure win fight in-favor of Lopez because why would they produce and post a poster that doesn't contain Pedro Campa's face? This fight might be too much to be just a supposed tune-up fight because I'm really viewing this as a cherry-easy-pick fight as Lopez's first fight in this division.

Well, I hope that I'm wrong Grin

I hope we are wrong about it, but it was a very controversial poster photo, that many are commenting on right now and it was the very highlight of the fight to not include Pedro Campa at all, For me, Teofimo Lopez has the advantage I think he wants to regain his confidence after that lost from Kambosos and cherry picking Campa is not a bad idea, to get back his ego and confidence, and Pedro Campa is on another division, but I will not be surprised aswell if there would be an upset, and Pedro Campa won this one,

And in other news, the Iranian Hulk Sajad Gharibi is making waves on social media right now by catfishing people that he was this huge Bulking massive guy, and his real fight has come Versus Kazakh Titan and this goes to show that the big guy doesn't really know how to fight and sadly running away from Titan, and surely the Iranian Hulk is not Bulky at all but just a random fat guy and all of that post in social media was just edited, Here is the Video Clip

You guys really noticed it, I also saw that picture in the fight thread.

Well, obviously, as the odds suggest, this is a sure thing an easy win for Lopez, and though he came from a loss, that odds of Campa looks like a sucker bet. Lopez to win in the 1-3 rounds, for sure we have a very good odds on that.
1914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 02, 2022, 04:32:15 AM

BTW, SMB vs Meralco, who's betting on Meralco here?

No way there are takers here without asking for a +.

+1 game I think is the better deal here, I'm sure that's a fair one since SMB is really a good team.

For Magnolia vs TNT, no handicap is okay.
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the future of Bitcoin uncertain? on: July 30, 2022, 09:17:37 PM
Perhaps, it was uncertain OP but I and the majority have been positive about it knowing how this project grow and has been tested multiple times in hard times and market attacks. Though it was hard to speculate what might happen 3 years from now, however, I'd just believe that the demand will continue to grow, prices may rise as well as that probably halving has been done and it is possible that we are in a bullish market.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is helping to eradicate poverty in poor countries on: July 30, 2022, 12:17:42 PM

I think we need to focus on educating people on crypto. Once educated people will embrace crypto with open arms.

https://news.electroneum.com/cryptocurrency-can-help-empower-the-billions-of-unbanked-and-living-in-poverty-find-out-what-electroneum-is-already-doing
Education is very important, especially in this type of market. The more we know about Bitcoin, the more we think that Bitcoin is a good investment, not a scam which is mostly what we've heard from uneducated people. We need such a thing as this actually helps the adoption. But on the other side, I really don't think this could eradicate poverty as these poor people are less likely to take risks rather than securing their daily needs, and investing is out of their priority.

If you know this - Rich people become more Richer while Poor people are still poor as they aren't willing to take risks.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATH for ETH on: July 30, 2022, 11:43:09 AM
If we see ATH for Ethereum, I think we might see Bitcoin first to do the rally.
At this time, I won't just expect it - not that I was hopeless but the situation doesn't permit it yet. Even though we heard about the merge announcement, I couldn't imagine how this could influence the market price, but possibly it was just a few pumps that might happen. For now, I wasn't thinking that big as in my mind, what we gonna see today could be the same after the merge.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 WNBA Discussion and Betting on: July 30, 2022, 04:07:41 AM
My first time visiting this thread, I'm glad that we have a WNBA thread, and though I'm not following this league so much with this thread, I become more interested in learning about the league. So anyone here betting on this league? Kindly share your bets to make this thread more exciting to follow.  Smiley
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 30, 2022, 03:37:48 AM
So I concur that this is a must win for him and even call out Taylor after the fight

Well, he needs to be careful, one step at a time, win here in an impressive way and he will eventually get a chance to fight the champion. Taylor vs Lopez should be a great fight, though Taylor is the champion but Lopez skills could beat the champ so I might back him to win if that would happen.

Oh for sure, he will be careful, but at the same time, I'm thinking that Lopez will exploit everything on Campa. Probably read him in the first two rounds, and then uses his jab. In my opinion, Lopez could still have the power even if he moves to this division. So we might see that in this fight. And again, assuming he will win, Taylor for him or any other champion that is fighting right now for Taylor's other belt that he has given up.

He didn't do that to Kambosos, he could have won if he played smart, but this is another fight, not a championship fight but Lopez has a better skill compared to Campa. Being smart in the ring is necessary for Lopez if he wants to challenge the champion of this division, so it's a must-win for him.
1920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 30, 2022, 03:13:16 AM
The Nets are too greedy IMO because they are asking Brown + Smart + rotational picks + draft picks which is too much for only one player that is also prone to injuries. If the Nets will push this trade then it would be better for the Celtics to not make a trade with them. Like many are saying, there is a chance that Durant might stay in the Nets because the management are asking too much players towards other teams.

They are too greedy because they build a trio that is an MVP caliber, that experiment failed though and now their trade is so ridiculous as it's like destroying a team for a trade to happen. I don't know if Durant will be traded but with that kind of terms, no team would make that deal possible.
