1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 26, 2022, 01:54:36 PM
Can someone confirmed if Loma is going to be trained by his father again? He is supposed to train Usyk but I haven't seen him in media together with either of them.

I was just asking because Anatoly like any other father that train their son in boxing is very instrumental in guiding their career. For instance Devin Haney's father who almost did not make it to Australia in the first fight.

There is not enough information regarding the trainers of Vasiliy in the coming fight with Ortiz.  Probably his father will still be his trainer since there is no news about the changes in Vasily's camp.

I read a news, it looks like Arum will be scheduling the Lomachenco-Haney fight if ever Loma wins against Ortiz.

Arum: If Lomachenko beats Ortiz, we’ll have him fight Haney early next year

It looks like the long waiting of fans to witness a showdown between Loma and Haney will have a possibility to happen early next year.

I don't mind waiting that long as long as this fight will be realized. It's a big fight, and it's not easy to predict the winner of the fight. It might result to Loma being the underdog, and I like that odds for him as I'll certainly bet on Loma to win.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 26, 2022, 01:34:59 PM
Looks like TNT is not missing Chot Reyes, they are competing very well against the SMB. Anyone here knows the handicap in this game? I was too busy and forgot that there's a game today. If I was able to place my bet, I would still go with SMB.

It's -3.5 for San Miguel Beermen, not that high and very attractive if you are a fan of SMB but looking at the game right now it seems that whoever wins, will just have a lead of not more than 5 points because it's a close one not like in game 2 where SMB separated in the early minutes of the fourth quarter.

Okay, good thing I didn't bet, this game goes to OT because of a bad mistake.  Smiley

There's a chance that SMB will cover here, or TNT to win, Jayson Castro this time did not make the last shot attempt, he was defended well.
More extra minutes, more fun. GO SMB!

Lucky break, they really cover the spread because they dominated the TNT in overtime. I think the final score is already 108-100, there are a few seconds left but SMB will already get this win. congratulations backers, SMB win, and covers.

Thanks to that error by Herndon, if not by that mistake SMB could have won by one point or TNT by a point or two depending if it's a three point shot or just a two. Another monster game by the Kraken, registering 27 points and 27 rebounds in a game, this could be a personal record for him or might be a PBA record if i'm not mistaken. When we look at it, seems like TNT has no match to the firepower of SMB but they just refuse to llet go and give the Beermen a good fight.

When Fajardo is playing like that, there's no way TNT can beat the SMB in this series.

They are now ahead by 1 win, the series is 2-1 now, so let's see if TNT will be able to even the series in game 4. Still will be missing coach Chot I believe, but they have to play like it's the last game as if they will go down 3-1, their chance to win the series will be very slim.
1843  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Longterm Price Target on: August 26, 2022, 11:33:57 AM
I'm not concerned with the price many years from now, let's say 10, 30, or 50 years? Actually, what we need is to see Bitcoin still alive for that time and it was finally considered a legal tender in all countries.

I'd never see how reliable it was, those calculations? I really don't think there is such a way to tell what will happen next. I understand that the price of Bitcoin and so its future remains unpredictable. I invest in Bitcoin because I believe in its brighter future and I guess, the majority are also having that view.
1844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency acceptance Everywhere on: August 25, 2022, 11:33:47 PM
Indeed, the acceptance is growing but still, we are far from the so-called mass adoption. Many people are currently holding crypto but only a few establishments are accepting this as a mode of payment - this is the reality for now. However, it was good to see that despite the slow adoption and acceptance of Bitcoin, we are still hopeful that someday it will finally become a legal tender globally making the reach its main goal. I'd see a huge help from the government support and allowing people using this as this will encourage merchants to accept it as well.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 25, 2022, 03:19:56 PM
One sure thing for GGG to win is to knock out Canelo but Canelo is a tough guy so it is really a hard task.

That's obviously hard, that's the reason why he is a heavy underdog, and we know that once this fight goes to the judges' scorecards, Canelo will likely win and that would result to ending their rivalry as no way they'll fight again, the only way they could fight is if GGG will upset Canelo.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 25, 2022, 02:35:58 PM
This might be off topic but it's worth the discussion here.

Has someone put a bet for tomorrow's game between the Philippines vs Lebanon? Just this afternoon when i looked at the odds between them it was almost even but now the Philippines is the favorite @1.63 while for Lebanon it's 2.24.

Can Jordan Clarkson and Kai Sotto bring the Gilas back to its winning ways or their addition is just a hype to the Gilas team.

Have put my bet offline as it is my colleague give me a +3 Philippines  Grin.

Having Clarkson gives Gilas a great chance to compete, so I would not hesitate taking that moneyline or the spread. We have a tall center, and Clakson who is an NBA player, not an ordinary NBA player as he won the 6th man of the year before. Most probably the, the ball will be on Clarkson most of the time, hopefully he will get hot so Philippines will win.
1847  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: August 24, 2022, 11:23:55 PM
is using spot trading to buy low and sell high for few dollars a good practice? a close relative said he was able to grow his crypto portfolio this way, is this a good practice?
Your relative can proved it and it was enough. But it doesn't mean that it will on you so well as it certainly depends on you after you buy. It is something to say that your relative is good at managing his funds, can do the holding, and definitely, can handle hos emotions. And the question is if you can do the same as what he does? Because if you can, then no doubts that you will also gain and multiply your money as well.

I suggest having it try even just a small amount in order to test yourself about this, after that you can tell us back what it happens to you.
Good luck...
1848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which option will better to take? on: August 24, 2022, 10:41:29 PM
Recently it has been seen that some countries have accepted Bitcoin as legal tender. But my question is more adoption of btc and taking it as legal tender aren't going to harmful for the economy of a country, specially when btc is in bearish ?

Or is it better to use it through control to avoid illegal or the bad side effect on economy?
Many countries have still outlawed it for not being able to control it.
I'd never see any threat for it to the economy or any harmful impact on the community but instead, this could give the people the freedom to choose what option they take when paying bills and buying stuff. In fact, the idea of making this a currency it was not foreseen to ruin the economy as for sure the government will impose rules in regards to taxes which never found using Bitcoin is an escape, not anymore. Because once it was allowed and supported from the government, it was also their mind to anticipate the impact on it, therefore, they'll go first before it becomes a legal tender.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 24, 2022, 12:39:13 PM

Still taking SMB on the next game. Coach Chot will still miss the next game because of Gilas, and Coach Leo will surely take advantage of this opportunity.

I will do the same, the momentum now is on the SMB, they have a big win tonight and that will probably continue. Mikey Williams was defended well tonight, he only managed to score 7 points from 3-10 shooting, we can tell that he was really struggling.

For the SMB, great game, they shared the ball very well, and Chris Ross though only scored 4 points but 10 assists is a great contribution.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2022, 12:06:04 PM

It looks like Kevin Durant stays in Brooklyn. I don't think he can give his %100 to this team as he wants Steve Nash and GM Sean Marks to leave but they are also staying.

That's not fair to the organization, why would he do that? I mean, he is paid with big money, so being a professional, he just have to do his job and deliver the expectation of the management. Although I believe there are some conflicts already in the organization, but I don't think Durant would result to purposely not giving his all just to pissed the management.
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: A Secret to financial breakthrough on: August 23, 2022, 11:52:59 PM
If we do nothing in our life we remain poor forever.
We don't have to keep this saying "POOR people become poorer while RICH people become richer". As poor people, we have to adopt the system that these rich people are using in order to uplift our living and achieve our goals.

But for some circumstances and due to the place we're living, it is a big factor that makes our dream fail and it keeps our status of living forever no matter what we do. That is the reality in some places where their opportunities have been closed already.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 23, 2022, 11:21:41 AM
Betting odds are out, we have a very intriguing betting spread in game 2.

SMB -4.5
TNT +4.5

It looks like it's screaming that we should take the TNT, with that, it convince me more that SMB will win in game 2, not only they'll win but I'm seeing an easy cover on the spread.

It's always like that, maybe they already anticipated that people will place their bets on SMB in game 2 because SMB will play harder to even the series. Bookmakers think differently compared to the regular bettors, so if that -4.5 is too much for you, then you are free to take the other side.  Grin
1853  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 23, 2022, 11:02:48 AM
I am curious as to the odds. I think there are still no odds released yet by top sportsbooks for this fight?

Unfortunately, there are no odds yet, but I'm guessing that  Ramirez might be a 4:1 underdog or even higher.

I'm not so familiar with this guy but his record is very impressive.

Undefeated with 44 wins, and 30 of that are coming from KO, that's special.
https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/509666

I think we are going to see a very entertaining fight here, like a toe to toe fight since Ramirez has a good resume.
1854  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online casino. What's the reliability of the technology? on: August 20, 2022, 02:24:47 PM

Technology is really important as well as innovation in casinos and gambling websites. They have to ride the waves or else they would be left behind. If they won't be able to follow the trend and adapt to the changes in the present, there is a high probability that they can't compete with the existing casinos and eventually be lost in the gambling industry. It's essential that they will always be updated with technological use and maintenance so that their security and the quality of service they are providing to their players will always be worth the penny.
After all, casinos are made for business so it’s always important that it’s technology demand should always meet the needs and expectations of its players. As much as possible, it’s technology should always be upgrading as people do always prefer innovations because they can always feel that they are also moving forward along with new technologies arise.
Not only do they need to have upgrades and be considered more advanced than the others but what is very important is that they are still transparent to their players and much build more trust. Because for me, I don't simply look at what they are doing to like upgrades but I was very certain about how they respond to the issues raised by the gamblers. And I was just going to believe their reliability once they solve problems fast as for sure it will help to deliver great services and support.
1855  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade? on: August 20, 2022, 01:42:50 PM
For that instance, there is no reason why we have to use that platform as in the first place, their reputation is even quite questionable.
We can't make feel how trading looks like on this platform but a curse - We'd see no profit from this but losses.

This is one reason why I am seldom using new exchanges, lack of transparency, fees, unexpected charges - all I can say is that better to stay away from these kinds of exchanges for they don't care about us but themselves.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New meme coin? on: August 20, 2022, 01:15:16 PM
Memecoins are all copies of each other. They have no contribution to blockchain technology. They are nothing but hype and they are all very risky tokens. I think it is better to buy Bitcoin instead of buying risky tokens in a bear market. I see all memecoins as shittokens. I have negative opinions about them.
It is only Shiba Inu looks interesting but yes, as long it was a meme coin and build-in hypes - we must act cautiously knowing that meme coins are less potential even to nothing. It was been said that choosing the right projects/coins for investment will endure positive results but if you are investing shitcoins, never get surprised by your sad ends and regrets.
Since we have a choice, why do we have to choose them (meme coins) as we know that this never gives us a fortune?
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 20, 2022, 10:19:20 AM
The wait is over guys, odds are already out just now. Check your sportsbook !

SMB is indeed the favorite but a slight favorite only.

SMB -1.5
over/under 194.5

That might change a bit defending on the bets that would come, so if you like SMB to win game 1, I think -1.5 is decent enough.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 20, 2022, 10:04:22 AM
My best odds guess:
Loma 1.10
Ortiz  5.00

Its going to be as close to Steve Shakur vs Robson fight. Arum seals Ortiz fate the he has to undergo a tough fight against a 6th P2P boxer while Ortiz stands up like a 4rounder boxer. He is a young fighter (26yo), probably have a brighter future but is sentenced to be KOed.

Do you have a source of that odds? If that's the correct odds going to this fight, I think it's very obvious that Loma will easily win this fight, and as usual, that would hype his name especially if they are cooking for a big fight after this.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 20, 2022, 09:17:55 AM
They can if they let go of Westbrook. A big chunk of their budget is getting eaten by Westbrook's contract. So, it will even out if they trade Westbrook to Kyrie.

I do not know if the Nets will ever find a trade for these players. Their asking price is way too high for other teams to afford, unless the other teams are desperate to get Kyrie or Durant. I think these two will remain nets.

Yeah, if the Lakers really want Irving, they will need to trade Westbrook anyway. However, the problem is that the Nets aren't particularly interested in Westbrook, which means the Lakers need to find a third team who will agree to be part of the deal and want Westbrook with such a huge contract. Honestly, I doubt any other team would be willing to participate in a deal like that.

Maybe they are interested of Davis, however, I don't think the Lakers would let go of Davis and keep Westbrook, so in short, this trade is not going to happen as they don't agree with the terms. Safe to say that Irving will stay as a Nets and will help the team together with Durant to win a championship.
1860  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An easy way to overcome inflation on: August 19, 2022, 10:57:16 PM
There is market inflation because we are manipulated by and control the government, fiat lies in the hands of these government officials, unlike Bitcoin.
We have no way to stop this and do it against the government well for we are just about to fail. And besides, this issue has existed for many years, and look?  We found no escape from this, as long as we are using fiat money, inflations come and the only thing we do is to accept and deal with it.

It gonna be worse in the future.
