2241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Need a second opinion on the new CAKE staking system on: April 27, 2022, 02:55:00 PM
So pancake swap recently slashed the staking APY heavily for the CAKE token (12% down from around 70%).
That's unless you choose their locked staking option. You can choose your lock-up period and the maximum is 1 year, where you'll be given 230% APY. This is an attractive offer but I'm not sure whether CAKE will hold its value one year from now. Traditionally, the BNB chain was the only option if one wants to interact with smart contracts but not have to pay Eth's transaction fees. But now there are many competing layer 1's.
What do you guys think?
Though the offer is very attractive and apparently tempting, I suggest for you OP think which one is safe. If you can't afford to hold or stake longer like a year, please don't do that. I'm not sure nor we can assure that the CAKE token is way good-looking and promising that staking long-term will give us a profit. We can't just neglect the possibility that it may down badly making our investment gone all of the sudden. I think it was not because of the huge offer and rewards when staking, we should have to think about the safety assurance of our investment that we never cry in vain on the latter.
2242  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do some project developers like copying on: April 27, 2022, 02:29:18 PM
And that is not to wonder why these projects end fast as they are also following useless projects. They'll end up together...
These clone strategies made by scammers seem to have been started since ICO time and it was then carried on to the present where we can see these metaverses, NFTs projects, and P2E platforms going fast to spread but just to see how fast they died. It eventually does not really see it good and it tells how bad they are doing to the market, it certainly ruins the trust of the people.
2243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Every 4 Year on: April 26, 2022, 10:44:23 PM
If you follow a 4-year cycle maybe in 2026 the bitcoin price will trade around the $200k-$250k price level. When compared to the previous year, the price of Bitcoin is likely to experience significant growth in 2026. But we do not know how far the price of bitcoin will rise in the future, and whether the next 4-year cycle will be the same as the previous cycle.
Bitcoin is likely to rise in value after the next halving, as it has done in the past. But what matters here is not how much it will rise, but how much it will fall before 2024. We don't know what will happen to the price in a year or two, so talk of 200-300k per bitcoin is just a guess. Maybe it is still very expensive now and in a year it will be 10 times cheaper.
People will get to rush the market and accumulate more once corrections will come before halving just to anticipate the possible another ATH again. if this becomes the mindset of the people, I was supposed to think that the trend of the market will then change and never we think it follows the same path 4 years ago or during halving. It is very optimistic to think about the $200k-300k price for Bitcoin for simply because we are not even sure how this halving creates a huge increase, $100k is seemed achievable and near to reality.
2244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is using 2fa safe in every way on: April 26, 2022, 10:17:09 PM
today I experienced an unexpected transaction from one of my wallets, all my assets were sold automatically, this is the first time I've experienced this, I didn't protect this wallet with a PIN and 2fa
can it be delayed after I use 2fa and PIN for all transactions?
It is very important that the hackers don't have clone access to your phone where your 2FA app has been installed otherwise they can still breach access to your wallet. That is why I highly recommend not to put together your wallet and 2FA authenticator as this will guarantee to put the safety of your funds as these hackers won't have the chance to get the PIN. I have been using this for several years and was proven enough.
Well, you can double security by adding email confirmation (but this gives hassles to us ).
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 26, 2022, 11:21:48 AM
Dallas Mavericks VS Utah Jazz SCORE 102 - 77 - WIN

And the Dallas Mavericks are putting pressure on the Jazz right now. Luka Doncic has a double-double performance and has returned his top gaming shape. I think they will keep this up until the Jazz are eliminated.

Dallas Mavericks did a great job against a struggling Jazz. Game 5 was the dominant win in the series, now the series will be back to the Jazz home court but I think the Dallas here will finish the series, with or without Donovan.

Jazz star Donovan Mitchell suffers hamstring injury in Game 5 loss vs. Mavericks

This game will be bad for the Jazz if Mitchell will not play, however, on the other hand, maybe they'll be better without Mitchell, it's hard to tell but the edge here will be on the Mavericks. The odds are already out, Jazz is -1.5, I think that's very attractive.

2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: April 26, 2022, 10:42:32 AM
Congratulations to the Nets for being the only team to be swept in the first round of the 2021-2022 season. I thought it would be the Bulls but they did better Grin What do you think about Nash's performance as a coach in this series? I thought they had a decent squad to push the Celtics but it looks like he's been outplayed by Udoka.

Boston is just strong enough Nets. Nets don’t have reliable center to protect the hoof and at the same time get an offensive rebound unlike Boston with so strong Theis, Even only his presence will make attacker very uncomfortable. Nets is not that strong this year, They are just hype because of Durant and Irving duo but besides that, they are nothing. I’m excited on Milwaukee and Boston matchup!

Coaches actually have a huge impact on team losses and wins. If Steve Nash just put all necessary pieces on the court, it could've been resulted into a different outcome rather getting swept. Boston is one of the most talented team in the NBA today. But I know for sure that the Nets could've done better than that. Man, they have Dragic, Irving, Durant, and they have good supporting players. Boston just executed better than Nets both defensively and offensively.
I'm not gonna be surprised If Nash will separate ways with Brooklyn after this off season.

That's two consecutive year that the Nets failed, this time it's probably the worst, I think Nets should look for a new coach to handle a good team. I am disappointed with the result, I know the Nets have messed up their roster but they still have Durant and Irving, at least these two star players could compete and give some real fight on the Boston, but it didn't happen.

Let's wait for the news, there's certainly a news that will come out, maybe one of the two superstars will be traded or the coach will be fired. Nets and the Lakers were the favorites coming the regular season, but look where are they now, that really tells that it's very unpredictable, anything could happen.
2247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 23, 2022, 09:53:35 PM

My biggest concern is that there are so many exchanges. How the heck do I know which ones will pay me after I make an exchange? I know I have to check their reserve balance, but what else should I look for?

If you are using a legitimate exchanger like Binance, Kucoin, and many more...you can really expect better trade and certainly receives your money after.
You may also consider these things as your preferences upon choosing;
 * volume
 * market review/feedback
 * transactions fees

For me, it was not necessary to know their reserve balance for as long as they are legit as this never be an assurance that they can pay us back or sends our money to us.
2248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 23, 2022, 09:28:16 PM
Before it was just like P2P in game currency and items. There's a real economy to those games that has started with RPGs. Now, esports is a competitive scene and this is where many of us are enjoying it. Even if we're not good or pro players, we can enjoy it just like the old days.
I'd like to play and earn for free and if it's one of my favorite games, I'd also be forced to learn those games that I don't know if you can have fun and make money from it.
I really see how the environment makes changes everything around. We are highly exposed to the internet this time which makes it useful to develop new gaming systems and has been adaptable to the people. In fact, even young minds, kids are even know how to play e-sports/games. Now, I can imagine how this influences the community and how it makes fun of the people.

I have heard that some players had spent a lot of time from this playing and spent more money just to have better gaming features.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: April 23, 2022, 03:32:34 PM
I usually like underdogs. So I am rooting for Bivol to score an upset. He's got the skills and size to utilize over Canelo. But I am not betting here. It is very hard to beat Canelo by decision even if he is losing in the actual fight. Only Floyd beat Canelo and the scorecards were even close despite the former clearly out boxing and out smarting the then young kid from Mexico.

I hope Bivol's training camp is doing well. I hope Bivol is 100% come fight night. I hope the Russian will be treated fairly. I said this because just nearly 2 weeks ago, Russian Petr Yan, an ex UFC champion had issues leading to his title fight. The fight was close and many (including me) thought he won that fight but he lost. Boxing (and mma) is an individual sport and should not be included in world sanctions against Russia IMO.

I guess the issue of these Russian fighters isn't that bad anymore unlike the few weeks when the invasion had started, I also do hope Bivol won't experience such thing to discourage him just like Petr Yan have experienced.

Being an underdog doesn't really mean that he's no chance to defeat the favorite at all, an upset is always available in the fight no matter how slim that chance is. Bivol is much more confident in this division than Canelo as he is the defending champion but knowing Canelo, he will always find a way to defeat his opponents.
Agree with what you said. The frying pan for news related to Russia is not as hard as it was before although there are still a lot at this time because Russia hasn't stopped it yet but now there are some rules that are starting to loosen.

Bivol still have a chance and don't really care about being underdogs or anything but the chances are still open now. what to do now he must focus and not be distracted by anything

Well, to start the Russian invasion is now much harder than before and the cities of Ukraine is still burning into pieces but yes I agree that there are some certain rules that have loosen if you're talking about these fighters. In the past, this fight was threatened not to be sanctioned because of Putin's actions and trying to get back to the Russian citizens is a way of other countries to boycott the Russia's move towards Ukraine.

Back to the fight, I hope Bivol won't experience an unfair traits from the live audience but he still needs to prepare himself for that situation and get himself focus on the fight. He should not be distracted by any means because he might get surprised by Canelo's punch Grin
That probably he receives criticism from the live audience, he'd rather expect that much and be prepared for the situation. But, I just hope that there is no physical confrontation outside the ring.

Anyways, I just hope Bivol remains on focus and won't get distracted by the possible issues or else, not just he got surprised by Canelo's punch, this will lead him for losing the fight. However, Canelo's still on the higher chance.
2250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy Trading - experience and tipps on: April 23, 2022, 01:35:03 PM
I did make use of copy-trading as a newbie, of course, it was good as you are still learning and gaining some ideas but this is not even effective, you are making yourself a copy to someone else and if he fails, you also fail. There is no perfect strategy in trading and so this copy-trading is not the best option if we wanted to improve and become successful. Building our own is way better and must be endured rather than relying on others. This is also a way of helping ourselves be comfortable and create confidence to face risky and hard decisions.
The problem is what type of trader will allow himself to be copied by someone else and risk their strategy to be revealed? And the truth is that very few traders that are making money in the markets will like to be part of something like that, which means that those that are allowing themselves to be copied do not really know the value of their strategies or do not mind that someone else is copying them because they are not making money anyway with their strategy.
That was the case that copy-trading is not a good idea if we are building ourselves to have a better future. And these traders who allow being copied by someone will certainly don't mind as they know they are not working well. And besides, I don't believe those influencers who want to help others and teach their strategy because successful traders will just share their experience, not their working strategies as they are too clever enough to hide secrets of their success.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Still Supporting And Playing On Newly Launch Casinos on: April 23, 2022, 12:45:23 PM
Almost every week there are one or two new casinos launching here, this section is already a big number of casinos there are good and bad new casinos here, these new casinos know that for them to stay in the game and be competitive they have offer new things and bonuses and giveaways.

Are you still supporting new casinos even if you're already playing in so many casinos do you still have room for new casino to deposit and play?

^ Yes for me.
Because new gambling casino has a different way to encourage users, they have many promos and cashback so that they can lure gambler to visit their casino. Especially also if the casino offers a reward if you have found a bug in their system, that is great to have the capital to gamble.
But for me, I feel not doing this because of the rewards. Sometimes I visit new casinos and they likely just the same games found, haven't any new things to find which gives more interest to the gamblers. Well, the main concern is how these casinos operate in the long run and how these casinos are paying the winners?
I consider using them if the future but not in these early days. And much afraid of putting money on their site.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High Rollers on: April 23, 2022, 12:24:09 PM
In my opinion, this kind of offer should make the high roller think about why he is being made such a tempting offer. At the very least I would immediately suspect that the casino making such an offer is obviously going to empty my pockets. I guess I will never understand what such people think, because I can not afford to bet more than $5, and I use such bets very rarely.

But you initially know that any casino is trying to empty your pockets. And judging by the reasoning about the amount that you can afford as a bet, you still visit the casino (or play online). So what's the difference? You can afford to lose a small amount of money, and for high rollers, this small amount of money is several orders of magnitude larger. They don't care where to spend, but naturally when they get generous bonuses somewhere, they go there.
It is not madness for them to take the offer, these high rollers know what really happen to them but this is not an issue for them as they are pleasing themselves rather than taking this seriously. Real gamblers are not afraid to bet huge amounts, they can afford to lose more than us normal gamblers. If this offer could empty their pocket, they can still refill it and get back to gambling again.
2253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 23, 2022, 09:57:28 AM

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|
Why? is bitcoin is so stable that it won't reach another its ATH? no one knows really. These are some similar thoughts of the people the past 4 years, where bitcoin reach ATH at 20k then boom, just stay in 3k for several months, and then look now, it even doubled and tripled as price almost breaks the 70k barrier.

The value of Bitcoin is increasing almost every year, almost every Bullrun. I could assume that OP isn't aware of this, he did close the chance and think negatively.

I won't be supposed to look back on those years as OP mentioned as it never affects how we predict the future coz whether we like it or it now, the market won't go back. I'm certain that the Bitcoin price will be grown high many times as the journey continues and that was wrong to think we are late or we are too late. That only decline our opportunities here.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 23, 2022, 08:59:32 AM
One might already understand that winning at Gambling is hard but at the end of the day we still see a lot of people increasingly interested in Gambling, this might provide an insight into the casino business and at the same time help explore the ideas 💡 in the mind of a Gambler.

I see that people had come to gambling
*because they thought that gambling makes them rich in a faster way rather than working it hard
 * because they saw huge rewards if you win

A way that casinos have taken advantage of the demand and increased the number of gamblers. In fact, gambling is now one of the growing businesses online and offline.
2255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: April 23, 2022, 06:42:33 AM
don't be too disappointed, i've also been working on a bounty project in the last few months. but the result is that none of the bounty projects have succeeded in adding to my pocket money. maybe i'm unlucky. but i always try to do my best, for the final result, i leave it to my luck.
Maybe I believe in luck in participating in bounties this time. But never I think we should have to put everything like this coz research is still on the top strategy to find 1(or even less) over a hundred or thousands of useless projects. But yes, something we need to find reliable job offer rather than joining bounties as they are not worth enough as per to see.

Quote
if you don't like the current bounty or are not happy with the results, then stop.
because no one is forcing you or me to join their bounty project.
It is not an issue if we are forced or not but, what really matters is the quality of these bounties that never wastes the time of those who come and join them. They have shown in the market and promise something to have a good reward after but unfortunately, people become hopeless as for months of waiting until years come, nothing had changed, still $0.
2256  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 23, 2022, 06:12:00 AM
...
I remember I play with a 98% percent chance and got lots of reds in a short period of time. That can be the same with rtp on slots, even if the rtp is better and not adjusted, the losses are still going to be felt if you are unlucky. Promotions are a good way to add extra profits and sometimes the profits that you can get on a promotion is much better compare to what you are getting on your normal game.

This is why ill also go for promotions and it's fine for me if they will tweak the rtp, only to give way for the promotion. I can still win anyway if I am lucky and if I can also win on the promotion then nice, that's a double win, it's like killing two birds with one stone.
It is found to be beneficial if these promotions are reliable. Many gamblers have been tricked by these promotions making them deposit more and lose more.

But I really don't think this really matters upon choosing a gambling site, I'd still see that the majority will consider RTP over these promotions for the long term. Well, of course, why not ignore this if we can avail as long as it was reliable but never do we think this is a ticket to win, a luck base game certainly needs luck in order to win.
2257  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What have been your crypto trading experience on: April 23, 2022, 05:56:24 AM

I'm sure everyone whether it's trading or investing in crypto they must have experienced failure,
that is normal because failure is not always bad and we have to take the positive side,
failure makes us learn so that in the future we don't repeat the same mistakes or failures and that's good for future developments
it should be experienced by everyone who trades and invests in crypto.
I had my first experience in trading which I did. -45% of the capital I put into altcoins. my stupidity to trade and not use a stop loss. as well as market analysis that I do is very low.
but after following several communities and often following discussions. I ended up getting a sizable profit on another asset.

It is very common to express our regrets because we lose but this becomes an eye-opening for us and those who come as these mistakes make us knows to differentiate what is right and what is wrong, and importantly, we know and accept our mistakes.

Putting money into trading is really risky but apparently, we can manage the risk by simply being careful and choosing the right coins to trade.
I'd learn how to listen to others' ideas and become an open-minded person as this will help us to find a way to become better. We don't need to pretend that we are good at trading, yet, we continue learning as we keep on trading.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bulls vs Bucks game 3 discussion on: April 22, 2022, 11:49:07 PM
Honestly, it's hard to decide because even without Middleton the Bucks are still a dangerous team.

Maybe I will go with the first half as Bulls could start strong since it's their homecourt and adjustment will come in the 2nd half for the Bucks if they will be able to make an adjustment. 1st half is 2.11 for Bulls (hopefully no draw).

Agree on this. Besides this, Middleton is showing inconsistencies in there previous matches which result to lose the game. Bucks seems luck of players nowadays to assist Giannis on points contribution especially on 3s. But we all know how monster Giannis is once he was focus on the game. He literally monster on both offense and defense. I will still bet on Bucks if Giannis if showing good performance on 1st Q.
Giannis alone can't make the team wins that is what I see in their previous game. He needs other members to help him bring the team to winning and without Middleton, the chances are very slim.

I will put my bet on the Bulls if that is going to happen. I'm not going to discredit the performance of Giannis but it was not enough.
Anyway, I'm not betting on the whole series but just per game, I could change my bet in the next round as, to be honest, Bucks is my favorite team.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: April 22, 2022, 11:24:03 PM
Of course Listing  of any coin on a new platform causes a big movement on the coin, so it will surely happen the same here, the Listing  of Shiba on the RobinHood platform will lead to a large movement on the Shiba and it is expected that there will be a good rally after this strong dump,
The dump that we saw with Shiba is just the same scenario that we saw on the entire market. But I know Shiba will recover of course once Bitcoin will take the lead. I'd presume that this year is not really a great year for crypto for I was expecting a bearish situation.

Quote
Good opportunity to buy now because the pump is coming soon.
Yes, investors are somehow waiting for this moment to come and accumulate more.
I'd see perfect timing for those who want to start investing as the price is in a major correction.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delisting of tokens will take place again on: April 22, 2022, 09:40:41 PM
Obviously there is always risk to buy and hold those altcoins which are not strong enough in terms of volume and adoption. Big crypto currency exchanges don't care if it's meme token or not if these altcoins are lossing interest between crypto community then obviously the exchanges will terminate the trading of these kind of altcoins on their platform hence we must consider to hold quality altcoins in our portfolio which are established in crypto market.
This is why to always monitor your wallet, and if you are holding a token that is not that active most probably they will get delisted on the exchanges so to avoid any inconvenience monitor it at least once a month and if there’s a delisting notification you’d better to sell it right away. Meme token is useless, let’s admit this one and start buying a good projects instead.
Yes, but I don't find a way how to dispose of these shitcoins I hold for many years as they haven't yet a market value and an exchanger where I could sell them. Anyway, this is just another story as I have them many years ago. But these possible coin delistings are those coins that have come lately. Exchanges will decide to delist them if they will see no improvement in their trade volume and have no benefits from them.

Well, I see this as a good way to remove shitcoins and leave some space for the potential coins and traders could also spend less time to picked coins as they know that all the coins listed are worth trading.
