1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 09, 2022, 04:22:13 AM
I thought Columbian DYIP will be changed at this conference as they showed great competitiveness when the league rested for months and return in action.

The fans even think that most DYIP players will be traded to Big Team in the league since that's always the setup in the PBA where good players from lower teams will be signed to bigger teams. I don't know what happened to them and suddenly become a practice team for other teams lol.

They now take place the previous status of Blackwater Elite. They are now the team who is nowhere to be found becoming a good contender team.

There are rumors that the faction of assistant coach Ronald Tubid wants coach Cardel to be replaced maybe that is the reason why this team played that way which is not acceptable for the fans who watched them live but were not entertained. The commissioner should step in and resolve the issue as soon as possible because this is not doing any good to the PBA at all.

In the end, it's still the coach's performance that will be evaluated, and since the team is not winning games, that means his performance is not good so it's expected that he will be fired soon. However, it's not also automatic that the assistant could will be replaced, maybe we have a new guy coming to take over and resolve the mess happening with the team.
1982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency does not offer equal opportunity to the visually impaired. on: July 08, 2022, 01:16:16 PM
Not to wonder anymore as to whether we like it or not, we all can't have an equal opportunity, yet we can't say they are hopeless enough not to have a chance as they can have in the other way. In fact, even those normal people already have a bigger chance but they still neglected it and ignore it. Even though we want but can't imagine how hard is it in their situation knowing that they live uncomfortably makes this thing isn't suitable for them. I think, there is something that is really for them, we don't need to add burden to these visually impaired.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for July on: July 08, 2022, 12:33:51 PM
I'd see that Bitcoin is moving a little bit high which could possibly influence ETH and that is certainly expected that is why I voted NO, ETH price won't drop below $800. And if the current sentiment will continue no doubt that we get to reach back to $1,500 again and it looks positive as currently, we are at $1,200 something at this post?

Well, it was clear to us that ETH gains huge trust from the investors among altcoins. It is expected that these people are buying ETH which uplifts the demand and trade volume making the price grow as well. Anyways, the entire market is changing its course by now.
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 08, 2022, 10:49:18 AM
If he can do that successfully, then he might win the fight. But based on the what I see in youtube, Vargas has been down 3 times in different opponents in the past, and although he stood up and win the fight but we can see that he has a weakness.
But Vargas is still undefeated, IIRC, I believe Magsayo was also knockdown in the past and the same as Vargas, he stood up continue and win the fight.
This is definitely hard to guess as both are undefeated, so bet according to what you believe, follow your mind.

If Magsayo will caught him clean, a KO punch would be great to see.
That's for sure, I like to see that.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 08, 2022, 07:54:39 AM
This is probably the worse game of Mikey Williams, looks like SMB really did a great job on defending him because he is still not in double-digit as of now. Well, the game is not over yet, let's see if he will explode in the last and final quarter.

Unusual to see Mikey Williams having that off-night performance. It looks like SMB really goes hard on him.

The scoring machine guy from TNT was able to stop by the SMB and successfully manage to limit his usual average.

SMB is now returning again to their fierce performance now especially that JMF is now doing his usual JMF thing like before.
Williams got 11 points only with 3-14 shooting.
I don't know if Williams only has a bad night or the TNT was just exposed with this one.
I guess he was exposed, but I don't think they will not make an adjustment, a great player will always make an adjustment to help his team.
TNT was also undermanned that game, they don't have Rosario who is a good rebounder and a threat inside, so it's really tough for them.

If this is only a bad night for Williams then he must step up and recover himself in their next game against the 2nd seeded Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel. Now there might be a chance that SMB exposed them because aside from Williams, no one can step up offensively and carry his team to victory. Either way, SMB is now at the top spot again and it looks like they are starting to get along with each other. JMF back in his MVP numbers and the acquisition of Cruz and Enciso really helped the team because we know how good these 2 are in three-point shooting.

Next game will be another challenge as Ginebra is better than SMB, but let's see if they can bounce back.
1986  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Opportunities - Forget "When Lambo" on: July 07, 2022, 11:51:40 PM
smart people will not forget LAMBO when the market is bearish, but greedy people will forget it,
and he remembers it when the market is Bullish, because it is very easy to get profit in a Bullish market than during a bear market like today,
but we must also remember ! that when bearish price becomes cheap, and that's our chance to get LAMBO!
It is a sort of encouraging view of the market as thinking about Lambo makes them work hard. However, it was not the real situation we've seen, more people have failed because for some reason,

 * fail to adopt the nature of the market
 * fail to commit their goal/plan
 * change of mindset

Yes, I think we need to give up thinking "when Lambo" as in ourselves we can't commit to achieving it. We can't just be a dreamer... as it only happens of we work hard and have a positive mindset.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just my one cent advice on: July 07, 2022, 01:51:14 PM
It is a very common thing to happen during the bear season and only usable projects will remain valuable.
That is why it is very important to just put and invest our money into reliable projects, not in those who have the influence of social media and hypes as they will surely suffer the most price decline during the bear market.

 - choose wisely - stay away from shitcoins
 - analyze the market/market review

1988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for newbie to long-term investing on: July 07, 2022, 01:14:44 PM
Experience is the best teacher. Some got trapped last year as they are investing during the ATH and it is certainly a big loss for them if they sell it now.
I hope they all become like you despite the tragic losses due to some emergency that forces you to sell your asset you still see the fortune upon staying in crypto. And you did it right, this season is the best time to start in crypto investment, however, you have to keep in mind the risk of putting all your money in crypto as you can't simply think about profiting fast as it only happens when the market recovers back which it takes time.
1989  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How quick does the market grow during bull market? on: July 06, 2022, 11:20:56 PM
snip~

Maybe try to see the old data's of past bull run so that you can search those important information you need, also by reading it for sure you can get an idea on how fast the price pump when bull run happen. If you ask people here for sure you will get different opinion and sometimes you will not understand clearly why such thing happen.

Data's is available everywhere so best to search since you can learn something by doing those things.
Even having those data in our hands, we still, never can tell what gonna happen next. We also have to remember the volatility of the market, things will change apparently which is why I don't consider the past as my basis for the future. SO, instead of being bothering ourselves and thinking about that, we'd rather wait and help ourselves prepare for it.

You better grab your bag OP and fill it. The market will soon recover, and you neither miss the opportunity given at this time.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2022, 05:45:32 AM

There should no value adding Durant to their core team and then losing a lot of players. They already lost their best defenders in Otto Porter and Gary Payton Jr, and wing man Juan Toscano, although his time has been limited since the return of Thompson.

Poole and Wiggins and then their future Wiseman, who they have waited for more than a year to heal and recover because they want him to be part of their championship DNA will just be traded?

I agree with that, no more Durant for this team, they are not exciting to watch anymore, I think it will make the team better but the unbeatable Warriors is not fun to watch, so I like them to make the big 3 the only superstars in the team. It's not Curry team, it's the Warriors because they played great teamwork, so they should stick with that.
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 06, 2022, 05:00:27 AM

But I will still go with the knockout or the range of rounds for Magsayo. They will definitely listed this, maybe 24 hours before the fight so for those who want to bet on that, maybe a little patience is needed. But if you don't have like me, hehehehe, ML with some decent bet will do for now.

I'm waiting for this one as well, the odds should be high and I think there's a big possibility that Magsayo will win via KO. The chance is high for a KO than him winning via decision, so he himself is pretty much aware of that and I expect them to be more aggressive in the early rounds.

Well, the wait is over now, you can already check the full market of odds here.

1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 06, 2022, 03:52:05 AM

He wouldn't be worry, he has been calling Spence Jr for quiet sometime now and is eager to face him. And this will be his perfect opportunity, no more Bob Arum in the middle for him to negotiate with Spence Jr and PBC. He might get the short end of the deal, but still, that money is going to be big.

Exactly, 50% of 10 million is smaller than 40% of 20 million, so the percentage does not really matter and Crawford has to take a low percentage for this fight to finally be sealed. Spence is a PPV attraction, so if Crawford could beat Spence, then he will become popular and next fight of his will make him earn more.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 06, 2022, 03:33:58 AM
Hopefully, there's major change now that the coach is not anymore a Filipino, or coach Chot to be specific. Coach Tab is the best coach of Gilas so far, if not with him, we will never see the potential of Romeo in international games and the Gilas team as a whole.

I agree, coach Chot Reyes' dribble and drive offense seems not effective in the international stage so changing coach as well as the system is timely but it may take some time to know if that is effective or not but i think whoever the coach now will be having a hard time winning some games in the FIBA World Cup, PH is just good on the SEA league, no offense but that is what i have observed.
SEA Games and FIBA ASIA I think, at leas we are a bit competitive in FIBA ASIA, IIRC, Gilas won a gold medal before.

BTW, we have games tomorrow after that Sunday break.

ROS vs Bolts
Dyip vs Gin Kings

Will the Dyip continue running with their losing streak on?  Grin

Bolts vs ROS, both teams are struggling, they badly want to win so I think it's hard to predict the winner but I'm sure the game will be very defensive so the call here is under.

about DYIP, I guess they are not a good team to back this season, so I'm going against them.
1994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: waiting to buy lower? on: July 05, 2022, 11:26:30 PM
Trading business is never dependent on others. Because they themselves do not know what may happen in the future. But it is best if you are using your own thinking or intelligence to trade. Another important thing in trading business is that you have to have a risk-taking mindset. Otherwise it will be difficult to gain. The market is less today, who will grow tomorrow, but here you have to keep your morale strong. If you are scared to see the bearish market then this is not the platform for you. It should be remembered that after the bearish the bull market come again. No one in the trading business can easily buy a dip. So don't waste time, it is better to buy step by step as needed.
In general, we must be 100% sure that we are ready for whatever it happens in the coming days and never have to feel regret. It is a way that every decision we made must be supported by analysis. Like we buy these coins because we know this will gives us profit, not losses. Waiting to buy lower is not a mindset of a real trader but rather considers an excuse for the people who can afford to take risks. Well, this kind of mindset will usually end up doing nothing and missing the chance.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens next with the market? on: July 05, 2022, 10:54:16 PM
Two of the top VC funds in the crypto market, Alameda Research and Multicoin Capital, have deleted all tweets on twitter and unfollowed all the projects they are holding.
What is going on with cryptocurrencies?
Is this a sign that the sharks are getting out of the market?
In light of recent events, do we seem to be entering the longest crypto winter in the history industry crypto.?

We can't tell what is the reason but for sure they have, maybe it could be for their benefit or for the community. However, this will affect the trust issue from the crowd as we simply think about transparency as even social media posts like on Twitter aren't reliable enough but somehow we can use this also as a basis of our analysis. But, as long as we are in the right position, investing in potential projects these seem won't affect our portfolio as they are not the ones who could stop the demand and market growth. We can recovery sooner, that was the reality.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 05, 2022, 05:48:40 AM
Sharing a good long read.
NBA free agency 2022: What we learned during wild first weekend, from Kevin Durant's journey to Lakers' dreams

It's like the Brooklyn Nets just made an experiment but it failed. So what's next? A question that had been itching for many Brooklyn fans.
Durant wants a trade and I think Kyrie want the same.
They will be left with nothing if it happens or a roster with roleplayers unable to create chemistry or they could just stick with the plan and try the experiment one more time just to see where it will go.

Feel sad for the Brooklyn Nets that what they gambled during the time they signed Irving and following Durant failed. It's a lesson now that even if a team signed great superstars, it won't be an assurance that they will be close now to having the Larry O' Brien trophy.

After the failed experiment and the Nets did their best to improve their roster for several seasons, looks like they will go back again to their usual where no aggressiveness to sign a big name won't be a priority.

Not unless they want to gamble again, then it's their decision.

They pay so high just to sign this guys but they didn't get good results in return and now they are pain in their asses because they can't take action on this current free agency because they have this two stars giving them huge head ache to their organization. Maybe its good for them if they find good trades with this guys and rebuild with their rooster because maybe for that they can get good results to their team.

Worst season of the Nets, they were eliminated by the Celtics in the first round at 4-0 score, no management would love that, of course they will think of moving some players because there's no reason for them to play together as they are not effective.

That was the worst season of both superstar, if they only have Harden, maybe they won't get swept by the Celtics but I think they will still lose because they are not fully healthy. Durant is not getting any younger too and he came from a bad injury, so he is not the old Durant and therefore he really need someone who could fill his role everytime he is injured.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: July 05, 2022, 05:27:45 AM
Maybe, as long as the government knows it can benefit they will always take advantage of the opportunity. Then it can really help gamblers especially during this time of pandemic as well, that even if the players are only at home they can still gamble through online casinos.
And that's the advantages of being a government owned for the casinos. It is an another assets of course just simple as that.

Perhaps, the majority of the country all over the places now had their owned casinos online so far.
And even there are other casino online, I guess some of them are also regulated where under by the by the
government as well.

Owning a casino is very profitable especially if it's the government because they control the regulations, but the real question is, does it really benefit the people? If it's an obvious yes, then why not all country have their government owned casino?
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you all think on: July 02, 2022, 01:15:14 PM
This question is for those that are into crypto for many years already, does low daily volume means a project is bad? A project with good use case but still very young is now plagued with low trading volume, is this the end or there is hope?.
That was not the sole basis to say if that project is good or bad, however, trading volume is also an indication if that project has bigger market potential or not. But of course, as a trader, it gives us more plays and earning fast if there is an active trade that was the advantage. It is found to have a reason why many traders are preferred with Bitcoin for the long-term, while hot coins (hyped) for a short-term trade. It is basically they are referring to trading volume which certainly affects the results.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 02, 2022, 12:15:48 PM
Canelo's lost to Floyd early on his career, he was still very young that time and not even a household name in the US. But it's good that he was exposed to Floyd that's what he developed after that to become the top dog in boxing (after Floyd retired for good).

And if GGG can win here, he will avenge his only lost and we can say that he didn't lost at all. But then again the age factor will come into the picture if he still have the body to beat a still prime Alvarez.

Golovkin was 35 years old when he first took on Canelo. Although the judges scored the match as a draw, in my opinion it was Golovkin who dominated that fight. Now he is 40 years old. How much wear and tear his body would have taken in 5-years time? Aren't we overstating the age factor here? Age is a factor, but I have a feeling that it is a minor one. There is a real chance of Golovkin defeating Canelo in the trilogy fight (although the chances are less than 50%). For us, what matters is that the odds are looking very attractive.

You don't have to question how much the body can take, sooner or later our body will not be the same as it was 5 years ago. Just one example is our eye sight, maybe at 35 you might be 20/20 but when you reaches 40, it might deteriorate, that's how our body works.

Of course, we love that kind of odds, very much attractive. So it's really up to us, how we analyze the fight and who to bet if we factor many things, including age of GGG or how Canelo lost his fight against Bivol.

For GGG, I think he still has it, he won his last fight so I believe he can beat Canelo as long as he can set up and find a great opening. In boxing, sometimes we have to consider luck as well as one mistake could end the fight, and that's why GGG will have to look since he is a knock out puncher and therefore capable of hurting Canelo.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 02, 2022, 11:23:55 AM
Another big win by SMB, it's a 4th quarter dominant performance by the team and they beat the Northport by 16 points.

This is probably the best offensive game of JMF since he scored 21 points in this game, and has a very decent shooting percentage with 9-11.

Congrats SMB bettors, another easy win.
