2021  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 25, 2022, 12:12:37 PM
Taking loans will be ideal if you have stable source of income and can able to full repay your debt if something bad to your investment. But if you just ride the hype  and take loan since you want to risk without having an assurance that you can pay and just think about you can profit then pay your debt later then this is totally BS after all because in times of disaster for sure this could give us a huge problem.
That is a big factor to consider but even if there is nothing for as long as your business is running and already in profit, taking a loan isn't wrong. However, if the purpose of taking a loan is to invest in crypto, I don't recommend someone to do that, especially if you just rely on the profit that you will get to pay for the debt. I know it was a good attempt but putting in crypto is a wrong decision. We can't assure profit from here, that is why many people will not say it is okay as this possibly compromise yourselves in the day's coming.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 25, 2022, 10:47:08 AM
In my opinion, slots is one of the most vibrant and emotional gambling games, so it attracts users. At least for me it is one of the games of chance from which I get a real pleasure in the game.
That's why many people love playing slots and keep playing with more money. I also enjoy playing slots, but I play just for fun and not after winning. But I realized that playing slots can make us forget the time and money we spend. And that is what causes many people to have gambling problems because they lose track of time and control.
I see this the other way around, I see slot as a gambling type that let gamblers to know they have only luck to win, because of these, they can use just low amount of money for it. Sport gambling will only deceive gamblers, they will think they can analyse and bet and win the bet, but if they play often, they will only noticed that gambling is gambling and no difference. I do not see the article helping at all because anyone can become addicted in any type of gambling, not only slot.
I agree with that, if gamblers think that they can only win by luck, they will not invest a lot of time and money in order to win. They will invest more on gambling games that they think they can win with their skills and sports betting is one of the many, and if a gambler will not be able to control, most likely he will be addicted and experience the consequences of irresponsible gambling.
2023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 25, 2022, 09:50:55 AM
The first game has already started.

The score is 41-30 in favor of the Blackwater, but it's too early, I don't understand why they are even in the bookies when it's very clear that Blackwater is the better team. What are your thoughts on that? I guess Blackwater is an easy pick here.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 25, 2022, 09:25:31 AM

That's the correct term, he is a Diva who think he is above the NBA will all his odd moves. But more or less we might see him in another uniform, Nets is done with him. But they will still have another in them with Ben Simmons, it's going to be a make or break for him next year playing along KD.

Ben Simmons will have a fresh season with the Brooklyn Nets, hopefully, he will be able to help on the defensive side as they really need that. His shooting has to improve as well especially from the free-throw line because that is his weakness and any opponent would use that to beat his team.
2025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops vs Bounties on: June 24, 2022, 10:40:04 PM
Both are the worst. Still, people earning from bounty and Airdrop? Isn't waste of time? I don't think Airdrop even gives you a return of your Internet bills lol. On the other hand, most bounty campaigns are scams. Either they don't pay or rug investors and hunters. Better learn something else and earn like trading and service. Nothing is free in the world. Don't run for free money, work hard and earn.
Indeed, just a waste of time. We still see a lot of people joining airdrops and bounties because of their stupid belief that this makes them rich, this will give them financial freedom which is too far from reality. We don't know how long these people will see the reality and change their minds. In fact, we already spread awareness to the forum but still, they are blind not to see the scam issues. We just hope to see what we already know about airdrops and bounties that could change their mindset.
2026  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we embrace a cashless policy?? on: June 24, 2022, 09:56:35 PM
The problem with going cashless is that not many people will be able to embrace it. in the advanced countries this may not be such a big deal as nearly everyone is already familiar with all sort of technology and buying online in a cashless manner. in the developing countries with high number of uneducated people, this can be a very big issue, it will require teaching almost everyone on how to operate an internet enabled device and own one as well.
Going completely cashless will pose a lot of challenges to many people which i doubt the governments are ready to subject its citizens to. So this is not advisable best thing for now is operate in both ways
Well, the moment of truth is that people will possibly embrace that particular situation but what makes them stop is the capability of their country and of the individuals. Besides, this is not hard to learn and I know everyone can do it but unfortunately, they are in such desperation due to the lack of support from the government and materials to run the system which gives courage as well.

Yet, I won't disclose the chance to be in the adaption as I literally will come but it takes longer, many years to come before it was realized.
2027  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: June 24, 2022, 07:04:27 AM
I think the best time to buy is today because bitcoin starts pumping , then next buy is when it goes dipper below 20k$, the next is when it touch down 15k$. For me buying in 3 stages is an advantage and a good strategy to earn never invest all your money directly because price is high on volatility you will surely get bored or discourage if you saw your investment down in one blow.
Some people are just then about to realize to buy when seeing the market in green and major coins are pumping. Many are quite hesitant during the crash but they preferred but at a higher price.
If we only have a bright vision of Bitcoin, it is possible we do move and take action during the crash but yes, we dare not and keep negative as well thinking it drops more rather than seeing this as a chance to fill our bag. Sadly, the idea isn't great, we always miss the bottom.
2028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 24, 2022, 04:32:51 AM
We have an exciting game today.

3;00 pm
Magnolia vs Hotshots

6:00 pm

SMB vs Ginebra.

Please share your thoughts on these games guys, these are good teams, especially the last game, so I like to know your opinion about what team to beat here.

SMB is still undefeated,  I think they will experience their first defeat in the season in this game. Ginebra is +2.5 while the moneyline is 2.15, that is very attractive to be honest, so I would not hesitate betting on them as they are a healthy team and they have a chance here.
2029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 03:46:05 AM
~snip~

Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
That depends on your policy, but if you want to be safe, you should not allow a gambler to hold a financial position in your office as the temptation for him to spend the money of the company is very high. I'm not saying, all gamblers, but you should know the risk.

- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

If he made a mistake, you should fire him or give him a position that does not involve holding of funds.
2030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana survived the crash on: June 23, 2022, 11:28:58 PM
Solend a decentralized loan project build on solana network almost create what could have been another sad story in the development of crypto currencies  but wisdom from solana government and voters safe the day. We could have had the same story of Luna in our hand if not decisions to stop whales from dumping. Good one from solana team.
As long as the team won't give up and is still committed to supporting their project in this challenging situation, there is no way it won't recover.
I believe that Solana had something to prove to us. The market crash is just a tool for us to see which project would stand still and I know Solana has the capabilities to do it. Well, of course, that also with the help and trust of the investors but this will also depend on how the developers work on their job.

And besides, it is quiet to see movements in Solona's prices, a certain indication that there are buying and selling activities which means, trading is still alive and kicking.
Luna is going dead while Solana still has a bright future.
2031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is bitcoin special? on: June 23, 2022, 10:37:18 PM
Bitcoin becomes special because we treat and think that it is special.
Well, that might be because we value Bitcoin more than Ethereum, more than altcoins which is literally what we see in the community. Yet, Bitcoin has been made to amaze people and to let people know that cryptocurrency is a way possible to adapt in the future and become a legal tender worldwide. It thought Bitcoin is special because no other project was created like Bitcoin, and nobody does as people are too aware of it.

 * investment
 * number 1 crypto current used

People had chosen Bitcoin on top of all cryptocurrencies as they see a huge potential in all aspects.
2032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 23, 2022, 09:40:55 AM
Converge seemed doing a pretty good job so far in this season.

I like their great start, they won again by a good margin and this time against the DYIP.

I don't know if the ranking is already updated (https://pba.ph/standings), but having a 2-3 start will give them an opportunity to be in the elimination.

2-3 start for a new team is not bad, they are the Alaska team (previously), so we can expect that they are not a trash team, they play good defense and that is already built in the team. I like to see them in the playoffs to play with the big boys, Ginebra, SMB and TNT, these are the favorites to win, let's see if they can beat them.
TNT, Ginebra, SMB and magnolia is a tough teams for now and if converge can beat them maybe they have a chance to advance to quarter-finals or semi-finals. But converge have done good in This season and they won their match against terrafirma and have a 2-3 record and if they are have a good teamwork and a great play for sure in their next match they will win. But smb is still the number one for this season.

Yes, based on the current ranking, SMB is the number 1.

They are the only team that remains undefeated with 3-0 record (https://pba.ph/standings)
However, playoffs is different, it doesn't matter if you are undefeated before the playoffs, what's important is the team is ready to compete and win.

TNT will have Williams back soon, that will be a tough team to beat honestly.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 23, 2022, 08:56:23 AM
And usually this what happens when you pitted a supposedly good fighter in Tagoe, just one defeat, but not known in American soil  against an American fighter that can box and knock out anyone. So when Tagoe was all talk before the actual fight, you can sense though that it will not turn out to be good as this is a mismatch. And this what exactly happened. And I guess Golden Boy knows this that's why he was cherry pick.
Tagoe was too weak for Garcia, the disparity in the levels of the fighters was too obvious. Fortune looks better in the ring, you can also expect a dirty game from him, he can hit head in the clinch, he is not an easy fighter. Bookmakers rate Garcia as a favorite, let's see if there will be such a big advantage in the ring as it is in the odds.

But his record was so deceiving, he has a good record and we thought that he could give Garcia a good fight, the problem with Tagoe is he does not want to risk, instead of being aggressive, he does not look for an opportunity to hurt Garcia, instead he just focuses on running all night.
2034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: June 22, 2022, 11:34:59 PM
Perhaps, what you can do with your money is to invest in crypto, a great opportunity for those who have a plan to join here. In fact, if we are aware of the previous ATH, it appears after the bear season which we have now. Though I won't urge people to put risk their hard-earned money in crypto I think they also have to understand the possible return upon investing in promising coins like BTC and ETH. We are going to believe that this bear condition isn't forever the same thing as the bull market, and if we understand that, then this is our chance that we don't have to miss.
2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 22, 2022, 12:31:34 PM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?

It depends on the gambler, as for me, it has no impact at all as I separate my gambling funds from my investment funds. if you are just using bitcoin as a payment method, the price should not matter as at the end of the day, you will just convert your bitcoin to cash out and enjoy your winning.
2036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 22, 2022, 11:50:07 AM
~snip~

Probably, this will be the difficult fight of Mr. Mark Magsayo against Mr. Vargas, Though Magsayo was the underdog.
But let see what's gonna happen in the actual fight in the ring. For now its just an speculations in the different people
who are waiting for this fight scene for the coming of July 09. Just all I know for now both fighters are giving their best in the
training to win in the battle.

We cannot conclude that he is the underdog since the odds are not yet available.

Let's wait until our favorite sportsbook will list this event and then we can tell who is the favorite and the underdog.
if you will ask me, Magsayo should be the favorite here since he is the defending champion, that's pretty basic.
2037  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 21, 2022, 11:17:02 PM
That was not really a big relief though as it was just a small spike, was too far from becoming stable growing high, maybe at least.
And even though there is no such pump, I'm not still losing my hopes as I know that Bitcoin will recover somehow at the right moment (someday).
(.....)
After we dropped below $20,000 before, my significant support level is now the $15,000 level which is really ugly and worst.  If you observed, Bitcoin easily falls below $17,000 after it drops to $20,000 so the same case is $15,000 if ever we will go back again to $17,000.

Overall, I don't want to happen it anymore, for me, the recent dump is already good for me as pullback from the huge run last year.
Nobody wants that to happen again, (might) everyone is hoping for recovery. The price of Bitcoin is moving back a little bit high surpassing $20k for at least 2 days ( and counting). But this is not enough to give confidence as to observe that every weekend the market dump back again. But let's see what gonna happen this weekend, we see there is a growth indication in accumulation which could affect the trend of the market and possibly more price increases.
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 21, 2022, 01:12:29 PM
Focus on developing your skills, that's the right thing to do.

If we want to be serious about gambling, we should play skilled-based games, otherwise, we will only fail in the long run.
Games with high house edge are only good for fun because you can only rely on your luck to win, but on skilled-based games, you will be able to develop yourself which would make you successful in the long run.

Me, I don't focus a lot on free because I know it will not give a significant amount to me, unless I'm so lucky.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA draft on: June 21, 2022, 12:55:54 PM
..honestly I’m hoping for our native player Kai Sotto to get drafted and have the chance to play in NBA, we’re still hoping for this.

I am hoping as well, because if that will happen, he will be the first full blooded Filipino that ever play in the NBA. His ranking is not so good now, but hopefully, there are some good surprises that will happen and he will be drafted. This guy is still very young, he will be able to develop himself overtime because he has the height and the ability to dribble the ball as a big man.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: June 21, 2022, 12:22:32 PM
Besides the new cryptocurrencies, from my perspective, I'd look more at cryptocurrencies that hold utility, keep developing and have a serious community.

Fundamentally, this should be the prior importance.  Utility, development, and community, these three hold the major factor in a success of a project.

To those who think and look at the bear market in a pessimist way, it may be a waste of time because they are too blind to see the opportunity hidden in those price crashes.  They tend to put their energy on whining rather than looking for the possible benefits of discounted sales.  So yeah I agree with the title, depending on how a person approach the bear market, it can be a waste of time or a season of opportunity.
So many, people see this negative as in the first place they don't understand how the crypto market works. But I'm not going to blame them either as there are 3 kinds of people around
 - positive mindset
 - neutral/undecided
 - negative mindset

But from what I see, many people belong to the negative mindset. I could still remember many people saying Bitcoin is a scam. And no way they will see crypto in a positive view...
