1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: March 06, 2020, 01:37:57 AM
I never think keeping a spreadsheet just to record all of my losses and winnings in gambling because it won't really change my mind and have regrets because of it. I really just wanted to gamble for entertainment or for leisure time, and i always separate all of my tax bills and other things before i gamble, so i don't worry nothing even i lose.
I never thought of it too. I'm not conservative with my losses and if I win, I just celebrate it alone and not listing it to any spreadsheet or even a blank notepad.
The losses that I'm making as I gamble, don't matter to me and it's not needed to be recorded so there's no actual record that I must do.

Keeping spreadsheet of your winnings or losses will give you a headache because you will see that you will have more losses than winnings.  Grin I am more than positive, very few gamblers are doing this task as it will add more stress to them but if you really want to see where you spent your money, this is a good one to track your expenses especially in gambling. Maybe if you see the real picture of your gambling habit, it would be easy for you to change your lifestyle.

The fact that Coronavirus caused the crypto markets to drop does provide more evidence that crypto isn't a safe haven. Perhaps it will become one in time, but at the moment crypto is as much at the mercy of real world situations as normal markets are.

For the records, Crypto has acted as a safe haven for quite a while now. Despite the fact that the Coronavirus news caused a dive across all markets include crypto only shows just how much serious Coronavirus threat is. However, Its safe to say that in the near future, the crypto market would be completely independent of the negative happenings that occur globally. So I wasn't surprised with the downtrend events.

To be clear, if Coronavirus worsens, Crypto can provide a solid way of transferring funds across countries.

Yes, it is! Because fiat currency is not safe anymore if corona virus will not be contained for the next coming months. So people will opt for another option like use of crypto in payment. Since the virus can live like over a week in inanimated objects based on this article. So using paper money in area with known corona virus cases would not be a good idea. The transfer is very fast so using crypto in this case has the advantage.

1743  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 05, 2020, 10:50:06 PM
I used to think that no, but now I am inclined to believe that the epidemic can somehow affect cryptocurrencies.
Indeed, thanks to the epidemic, a global financial recession can begin that will lead to the fact that people will move their assets towards cryptocurrencies in order to maintain their value, unless of course the cryptocurrency can prove to be sufficiently stable in such a period.

People will now find a way on how to move their assets without traveling as traveling increases the risk of getting infected. And one good option right now, is exploring the world of crypto.

1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ✔✔✔ XERON CARE ✔✔✔ Integrating Blockchain To Store Medical Data on: March 05, 2020, 10:04:27 PM
@OP
Care to explain why you took content that is not yours, and presented it as your own right there on the main website page? I am talking about the content of the article about another health project that you took. It was an interview with their CEO, and you just used parts of that. Therefore, you plagiarized.

Quote
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions"[citation needed] and the representation of them as one's own original work.

Plagiarism is considered academic dishonesty and a breach of journalistic ethics. It is subject to sanctions such as penalties, suspension, expulsion from school[3] or work,[4] substantial fines and even incarceration.Recently, cases of "extreme plagiarism" have been identified in academia. The modern concept of plagiarism as immoral and originality as an ideal emerged in Europe in the 18th century, particularly with the Romantic movement.

Now, why do you think anyone should invest in your project when you are not able to use your own words to explain  what is your project about, let alone finish it successfully?

Here is the link for the thread i made about Xeron care in scam accusation board
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230590.0

Not a good start for a project wanting to explore the medical data of their users. And how can you trust your medical info if they can't even secure their own website? And with the plagiarism issue, it is really sad that they have to resort in copying from someone's work and not have the effort of creating their own. Waiting for the response of the team why such action?
1746  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OZCAR Platform [OCR] - Fake Team - Possibility Scam Project on: March 05, 2020, 08:10:30 AM
What you are showing us have not proven anything any project can do that, you are still trying to salvage or save your project but it's the end of the line for you and your project, you have been exposed so it's the end of the line for this project, better not defend it anymore, anyone can open account on scorebase and add even if the project is not legit.

And they are proud to be in connection with p2pb2b, a known fraudulent exchange. On the other hand, the use and editing photos is showing something negative on the dev team. I know he has explanations and all but why did he permit it to be published in the first place? Testing the waters if no one will notice this action. Interesting how their project will end up with.
1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing did you feel you must return the soonest to win back your losses? on: March 05, 2020, 05:49:08 AM
I found it as one of the most interesting question from this article. http://www.gamblersanonymous.org/ga/content/20-questions

Do you guys have that kind of feeling when you are losing in gambling?
I think this is not good mindset because gambling don't have strategy you gamble money to be luck that's why accept when you lose and play again if you feel you are lucky. And don't always think that you will recover your losses and win because that will give you disappointment only.

Every player has his own perspectives when it comes to gambling. Sometimes the pressure of playing again after losing is always there because we have the urge to win back our losses. Unless, you don't have money to play again. But deep inside in our minds, if we can get back that money, we will stop. I guess, that's human nature. But in actual scenario, winning is not always a thing so we have to accept that we will lose more often because we are talking gambling here.
1748  Economy / Gambling / Re: AceDBets.io Multi Crypto SportsBook[Fast][Interactive][QuickDeposit/Withdrawls] on: March 04, 2020, 11:49:16 PM
Btc will be added later , ACED should have some promos in future on betting platform .Honestly i do not see much point to add other crypto for betting , this way team will kill own coin , which is used for betting . I think btc and ACED is enough , at least at this stage .Much work must be done , marketing etc , improving platform , we just need more bettors to jump in this train , and its not so easy to gain a good bettor base.

Aside from that, is the team also planning to get at least an eGaming license in the future? A legit sportsbook should have a gaming license as you are offering a lot of services here. But as a newcomer here in the gambling industry, the site's UI is far better than a lot of casinos here.

I won't proceed checking their whitepaper on their site as it says this privacy error. Won't risk checking the site for security purposes. Though the other user already gave the other link for wp, and upon checking it, nothing much to see. The content is not comprehensive.

edit : will go back after couple of weeks if there will be improvement on their site and wp...
1750  Economy / Gambling / Re: GameCash.io - Colonel Blotto Game - BTC | ETH | ShapeShift on: March 04, 2020, 10:42:42 AM
As a new player here in the forum, I would say you are getting a decent number of online players and active lobbies even though you are not running any advertising campaign at the moment.

I tryed "Colonel Blotto" on demo mode to understand more how it works.
I noticed that the number of current games does not reset after the game ends unless you refresh the page.
Also after the game ends you should let the player see the strategy the opponent used to improve his own.
I find the game concept unique but how to be sure you are playing against a real player and not just a bot that could easilly manipulate the result?
Your feedback is really important! We decided to postpone the work on the real-time updating until later, because the minimum update time for the lobby is one hour. We hide the opponent strategies to protect against scam. Those who discover the repetitive strategies of the other players can invite him to play and cheat him. If we show the player the opponent’s strategy, he may lose the interest in finding his own one.
We want to achieve our minimal participation in gameplay and provide full control of it by the players themselves.

I am wondering what are the instances that will make you participate in gameplay?
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: March 04, 2020, 03:59:20 AM
What the OP said is really true. If the negative aspect arises whenever you gamble and it outweighs the positive impact in your life, I guess it is time to move on and forget gambling. I know it is easy to say but hard in real life. And that I think is also one of the major struggles of gamblers. Those who want to change their gambling habit is in their difficult phase and needs will power to achieve their goals in life. One should always remind himself why he is doing it, should be doing for himself and not anybody else.
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronacoin on: March 04, 2020, 02:20:06 AM
I don't recommend you to support this project. It is like people who support this coin is expecting for more people to die because of the virus. Imagine, they will burn a certain amount from its supply depends on the people that will die due to this virus. Where is the humanity of the developers of this coin, they don't even consider the feelings of the family of the victims that they make as their basis on making a profit.

I have the feeling that they are just using the current situation for their own advantage. I don't think they really do care on this situation. Because of the popularity of the issue, they are now trying to make money out of it. I won't support this kind of project also. Unless, they can prove that they have sincere intentions on helping out this crisis.
1753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: DEXIVE - advanced and social decentralized digital exchange on: March 03, 2020, 10:20:59 PM

Supported blockchains

The Dexive trading platform will initially support Ethereum and NEO. We are already working on Zilliqa and EOS.

💎 Ethereum
Ethereum is the most extended standard for digital tokens. An Ethereum compatible wallet can accept and trade not only ETH, the platform’s native currency, but also any digital asset generated under the ERC standard (which is the case for most of ICOs, STOs and IEOs).

💎 NEO
The NEO blockchain platform is currently the main alternative to Ethereum. While less extended, it has a greater capability to handle transactions: it can process about 10,000 per second, while Ethereum currently supports 15 transactions per second. Supported blockchains.

💎 Zilliqa
Zilliqa is another public blockchain which surpasses Ethereum in its transaction processing capability, being able to handle over 2,828 transactions per second through a distribution technique called sharding.

💎 EOS
EOS.IO operates as a smart contract platform and decentralized operating system intended for the deployment of industrial-scale decentralized applications through a decentralized autonomous corporation mode. It is not yet as developed as Ethereum or NEO, but its protocol has the potential of handling transactions even faster than NEO and Zilliqa.

This is a really great solution to combine several blockchains and see what happens next .
at least I haven't seen anything like it on the market

This will be the advantage of this DEX. In case they can actually make this work, this is the first time seeing crypto exchange integrating those different networks. Usually, it is either one of those networks, like eth, eos or neo. But if they can combine it in one, then, this is something to watch out for by traders.
1754  Economy / Economics / Re: Unfair aspects of KYC. But KYP is here on: March 03, 2020, 09:28:06 PM
Should the whole crypto community vote and get organized in order to ask third parties also have their own version of KYC? in this case clients should ask for KYP (Know your providers).

It is unfair that third parties asking for KYC are not providing customers in the same way with the same info they request.

The biggest problem with KYC is we can't trust exchanges or their partners to safeguard our personal data. Customer data is not only being underhandedly sold by exchanges, but KYC data is also regularly compromised by hackers and sold on the dark web.

"KYP" does nothing to address this issue. What we really need are better privacy and data protection standards. Since current industry standards are so low, I would rather stay anonymous.

Aside from that, KYP is very hard to implement. Do you think they will comply from the request of a potential customer? I don't think so. More than likely, if you will request for KYP, you will be waiting in vain from their end, if in case they will every give you that info. So what's left here, is really being cautious to deal with these projects. A user should thoroughly do his job when it comes to submitting his KYC docs. A user is obligated sometimes because if he wants to sell his coin, and that exchange is requiring KYC, he has to fulfil the requirements. But he has choice not to, but he needs to look for other exchanges.

good news with a mutually beneficial ecosystem, but I see that the crypto-potential project is not yet well-known among the people, haven't you come up with an idea to expand the crypto-potential network?

Crypto-Potential is undertaking a development effort to expand it's network. All I can tell you it is very exciting and team is thrilled to be working on it. Wish I could tell you more, but it will be out in a few weeks, maybe less.

I suggest you Join us on Crypto-Potential platform. All news will be announced on Bitcointalk along with other social media, but you will receive a personal email for any news as well.

I have seen my old posts of mine in the same thread that was written last year. So it means, you haven't attracted many users here to check on your project. Maybe it is high time to have campaigns in the forum like sig campaign for your exposure in the crypto community. What do you think about that?
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [SELFKEY] ID Wallet for Citizenship, Incorporation, Fintech, Banking, Exchanges on: March 02, 2020, 10:58:43 PM
SelfKey mobile wallet seems to be now available at Google Play Store. No official announcement from any official social media platforms yet.

They said that they will release their mobile wallet in App Store this week, so they simultaneously released it in Google play. This is nice as this project has been in the works for more than 2 years already. So it is just time for them to release those mobile wallets. And that also suggests, that this platform is still in active development whereas most of its contemporaries have been out in the business already.
1758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australian court allowed cryptocurrency usage as collateral. on: March 02, 2020, 09:45:28 PM
Another great country that slowly support cryptocurrency, thanks to that court for acknowledging this market. Using crypto accounts as a collateral is also good, but of course we must still wait for further announcement regarding this one. If more countries will legally accept cryptocurrency, then we can easily make a new ATH but things are getting harder everyday, i hope we all survive on many challenges.

We are already a decade in crypto, and I'd say we already have had a lot of accomplishments. Many crypto users are now smarter than before. Because of those proliferating crap projects for the last couple of years, many have learned their lessons already and now, they are more knowledgeable on the real benefits of crypto and blockchain technology. And I believe, those scammers running their IEOs or ICOs are now going down in numbers as a lot of investors are now very careful in their investments.

With such news like what the OP has shared, I guess we are on the right track of adoption. Because if other countries or areas see that this kind of transaction is real and successful, they will follow soon.
1759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways in which you can promote bitcoin. on: March 01, 2020, 10:18:36 PM
Im not good at promoting bitcoin but I just simply introduce bitcoin through my friends. Whenever they ask about bitcoin I just give details how it works and how it can use. Since its new to them we cannot force them to understand right away.
You know, this is the age of social media and internet. Social media is a great platform to promote anything. So, you can create an event or maybe a page regarding bitcoins. An offline method would be to create a kind of rally or leaflets but I think, using BTC in everyday work will have the most impact.

Paying using bitcoin and letting your colleagues or friends know that you are using crypto to pay will make them interested in crypto. They will ask how are you doing it and is it safe, secure? You know, normal questions for newbies. But if they are really interested, they will also find to ask more and research their own. You can't give all the info but you can guide them.

You are messing organization with a currency.
Quote
an organized group of people with a particular purpose, such as a business or government department.
A definition of organization from google.

There's no central party to organize people working for bitcoin. There's no company or business operating for havinh profit. I guess you are taking Bitcoin as like some other payment gateway like Paypal, Perfect Money or other.

Yes, bitcoin is not by any means an organization. The reason why his prof is not accepting that statement. The writer should have read the basics of bitcoin and he will understand that it is not to be called an organization.
