backed with gold? i thought they got rid of gold backing ages ago.  Its backed by the us gov and strength of the us army.   Every super power has ended in history.  I think fiat is done in 50 years.

50-100 years as i see it fit,change is inevitable so its either they follow the trend or go up against the trend of bitcoin and create their own digital currency.

I dont think that will happen. Many people use Dollar and they need it. It is very important for them and that is their only payment method.
many people also dont even know what Bitcoin is and that is the problem, we all hope that it will be more used later.

It can happen but this will take a lot of time if you ask me because the point is that the dollar is now very big and will not collapse.
The bitcoin is hated by the banks that are using the dollar and also the bitcoin can collapse so that is the opposite, it would be a long journey for the bitcoin to do this.
