Impossible to happen cause the circumstances is it will change global economic processes. US government won't allow that even other countries.
every thing is possible in this world, but it look like difficult in near future, actually USD is one of the most popular and stable fiat currency and most of the countries are also depending it for their economic where bitcoin is a new currency and still it has a lot of time to become so mature to replace bitcoin.

It may not happen as of now but look on how US government is very interested to check the database of transactions of coinbase. Surely they are only interested to profit out of bitcoins transaction but out of that they will realize if they are going to adopt bitcoin sooner or later. Big profit is possible to come to them, but that will be long time before it happens. Be sure bitcoin still alive even with the big hash being at China, and some people say that they have control over bitcoin, i do know they have huge influence at bitcoin for sure, but put countries inside bitcoin, and expose those will make a panic sell, we dont wanna contries to get into bitcoin and manipulate it the way they do with their currencie. Dollars is used at all transactions made between countries, and this wont change, bitcoin hasnt such power to replace any currencie, it wont happen.

But if the usage of bitcoin started to accepted in more than 50% of the world financial affairs then no one will have the power to stop the bitcoin to become the number global currency and then it will be able to easily replace dollar. Bitcoin does not even need to reach that amount of adoption to become unstoppable, just look at the current user base many of the people in the forum will not care if bitcoin was made illegal and since bitcoin is decentralized, governments cannot seize some servers and kill the coin.

Nope not everything is possible, especially when there is some huge force conflicting it. Bitcoin may had been popular (to us) but to how many is Bitcoin being popular? Government will always reject the idea of making bitcoin as its primary currency because of the obvious reason, they do not control it.

It's probably been said countless times before, but BitCoin isn't as flexible as cash is. It's true that BitCoin is instant and you control your own funds in your own wallet, but the ease of use is still a little way off compared to even tap and go style cards out there.
On the other hand, BitCoin is great for sending cash to others in a much more secure way than WU / PP or the other brands out there - you're sending direct to the recipient and they don't have to wait for the funds to clear.

Don't people those people who are saying that they have control over bitcoin, those people just make to scare you out. Basically those people who are considered whales are not even exposing themselves in the market. Right now, we can say bitcoin has not that total power for replacing dollar but we don't know if US government is working already for considering bitcoin as their method of transaction.

It is possible. But we are a long way towards that. It will gain traction and mainstream use, but the US (and others) have no reason to let go of the US dollar (and other fiat) in favor of Bitcoin.

This wont happen anytime, im sorry to be the one to give the bad news, bitcoin can achieve 99% worlwilde but wont replace dollar from its position, be sure of that, bitcoin has limits, and as soon the mine ends, we will see how it will be handle, till that time bitcoin keeps growing and achieve bigger values. But if we change fees to keep the miners bitcoin should reach 10000 dollars or more, but no more coins and no more halving will occur will be simple demand and supply with a minimum value of bitcoin. Bitcoin will never achieve 99% adoption because you need a computer and internet access in order to use bitcoin an many only earn what is necessary to eat, so bitcoin is not going to reach that point, by the way not even the dollar has that acceptance in the world because there are countries where you cannot possess dollars.

No i dont think that bitcoin will be replaced by fiat anyhow .as fiat s value is even much more popular and bitcoin will never ever fullfill the global population .and there s only a limit of only 21 million which in my sense is pretty less in the sense.
You're right. But bitcoins is becoming popular now and who knows bitcoins will replace fiat currency but it will take time for that because in some countries bitcoins are banned so maybe there is no way for bitcoins to replace the fiat of the said country About the limit of bitcoin, even it will reach its limitation still it can fulfill all the population of the world, how? We can just simply use mBTC and smaller portion's of satoshi and that is going to make the value of bitcoin even higher, only if it will replace the position of dollar but like many are saying here, it is impossible. Bitcoin is not going to replace dollar. period. It may become better option to dollar in terms of transfer from one to other country. But there is no chance of replacing dollar. 1. US govt is strongest at the moment. EU and Russia are also powerful. None of these will allow their wealth controlling ability via currency. They can control their own currency but can't control bitcoin. 2. At this stage, bitcoin is more of commodity stage rather than currency. Check the forum, many threads are there with people saying keep/hold bitcoins for long time. bitcoin price will hit some million at least.

Yes at that time everyone will like to accept bitcoin because they will know that bitcoin is a worldwide currency and is not owned by any particular country. But only US will want that bitcoin do not replace dollar because they want their own currency to be a powerful currency and want everyone to care of dollar.

Which is basically the reason why bitcoin cannit replace the dollar or any fiat currency anytime soon. Big banks would want to have control over he monetary system and they would have a hard time controlling bitcoin or any digital currency. Even if most people already owns bitcoin, i don't think it would be replacing dollar's firm hold nope

I don't even think that bitcoin can replace dollars. For me that is going to be very impossible as we know that bitcoin needs dollar. And even though there is no bitcoin dollar is going to remain. So for the aim of making dollars to be replaced by bitcoin. That is going to be an impossible thing.

Even if it's getting even more popular and worldwide used it is still impossible for bitcoin to replace dollar soon or even in the future. There are so many things we need to consider in order to replace dollar.

After all, it is necessary to completely change the economy of the system, and this can not be done quickly
