I am pretty certain this thread will be a joy and a party thread again in 2015

2015 will be a big year for bitcoin, 2016 even bigger

I also believe this to be true.   The price per BTC in 2014 has definitely not caught up to the amount of adoption and business development that took place this year...

I hope this. Because actually I spent many of my time in this sector, and work very hard to earn some bitcoin. I want that in future I would see some result about my very hard work. Price of 35.000$ for only 1 bitcoin would be very good for me Cheesy

320$ is very high compared to the average 2013 price. As the fiat is inflated, Bitcoin will rise in price because it is inflated less and the upcoming increase of coins is priced in

Indeed, 3 times what it was through the middle of 2013, AND we had the haters most faptastic scenario of the posterboy exchange crashing and burning along with the spectre of heavy handed regulation and continued busts of black markets.

We are the new wealthy elite? Maybe. If price will go around 50.000$ in many years, I'll buy my boat, my Ferrari and I'll have more fun with my bitcoin money  Grin.
Too much soon for say this, we have to wait many year to see the develop of bitcoin !

when we move away from  thinking in "whole bitcoins" to  mbits or satoshis i think the rise will be fast and furious ........
also when the next block reward halves the coins in existence will become much more valueable and sought after

combine that with more merchants/retailers/services  accepting them and easier faster  ways to "spend"  and store them
and i think the potential is near unlimited

there are too many variables to predict the price will be $$$$$  on any certain date but one thing i do believe is coins are only going to get more
expensive

Just thinking differently will not move the price. People will think differently when the price will have moved and the price will move when more people will adopt and use Bitcoin

Indeed, patience is definitely a virtue.  For now, we're neither wealthy nor elite nor wealthy elite nor gentleman.

Pretty sure this is where we stand:

I haven't given up on Bitcoin, far from it.  But this year (besides adoption by select merchants, retailers, and charities) has been a down year for our favorite Crypto overall.  Gox, SR1 & 2, Shrem/Ulbricht, regulation, China/Russia banning Bitcoin 100 times, mining difficulty/costs etc...have all had negative overall pressure than all the good that's been done.

2015, year 6, has to be better overall.  Not just for the masses to adopt or even consider it, but for the miners, developers, traders, and supporters for Bitcoin as well.

It's been a terrible year for most of us, I hope you're right and 2015 is better. Merry Christmas.

I will be happier in the long term if bitcoin just finds a value and stays there. In the short term I want to get rich from bitcoin, in the long term I want an alternative to centralized slave money.

I dont think it will have a fixed price. 1BTC=1BTC thats all. Compared to other currencies i think it will behave like gold or an asset and not like a normal fiat.
