Jesus don't pay taxes.  This defeats the purpose of bitcoin!

Bitcoin is a currency and an investment.  In order to use it, you have to pay taxes.  As your Jesus said "Render unto Ceaser..."

The money in Jesus's time was coined by Caesar. Bitcoin is coined by the miners. If Jesus had bitcoins, he would say, "Render unto the miners what is the miners." AKA- Pay your transaction fees, damn it!

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

If we are the new wealthy elite we will be able to find all of the legal loop holes necessary to pay as little tax as possible.   Grin

Hey,  I will give to "Ceasar" the amount I am legally obligated too.  Plus I will definitely tithe at least 10% and will happy to do so.  Plus the tithe will help lower my taxes too!  Grin

What is so un-Christian about that?

That said, I will admit that tax evasion is a temptation!  I would be a little more content paying taxes if I felt that I was "proud to be an American" but unfortunately there are things about the US that really tick me off.  But it is still not wise to avoid paying them, as tempting as it may be.

After all this months not really keeping an eye on BTC or the forum at all, I kept the subject of this thread in the back of my mind and reminded it from time to time.

If we are the new elite. Then which one of us will be the president of the world?

It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it... anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.

Not necessary to rule. What about to lead?

Cheesy As i understand correctly those who want to be a president, should not be, but those who are capable and appropriate does not want to be a president. Paragraph 22.

To be more precise, an extract from Zaphod Beeblebrox wikipedi article:
Quote
He was briefly the President of the Galaxy (a role that involves no power whatsoever, and merely requires the incumbent to attract attention so no one wonders who's really in charge, a role for which Zaphod was perfectly suited).

Whoever we can control behind the scenes, mooaaahahaha.

Demokrati: Två vargar och ett lamm röstar om lunchmenyn.      Democracy: Two wolfes and a lamb votes about the lunch menu.
Frihet: Ett väl beväpnat lamm opponerar sig mot omröstningen.  Freedom: A well armed lamb opposes the outcome.
