I thought that most of them will be retained by the management but it seems only those that had really contributed a lot. Thus, this is part of the business, letting go is a must and happens most of the time.
You have to consider that teams are managing wisely their tax. Golden State Warriors try to keep him but weren't able to match the Portland Trail Blazers' offer to Gary Payton II that's why money-wise, it's good money waiting for Payton II. That's the first time he received a decent salary that's why he take the bait. He already got a championship ring and since he's young, there are lots of chances to get that again. Maybe just move on since there are still young players' prospects left in the Golden State Warriors' championship lineup.

Porzingis has good stats but if you look at his impact in the actual game, it's not that much that's why Dallas let him go. Now, that he was out in Dallas, they became a better team and they beat the Suns IIRC in the playoffs who is the favorite to win the NBA championship. I think they should also try to trade Porzingis for a younger and a healthy player/s.
Porzingis has an impact and is considered a big piece for the Dallas Mavericks but the guy is injury-prone. Aside from that, it's no secret that Luka and Porzinigs have an ongoing cold war and that's not good for the team. I think Mark Cuban itself shared that if I remember it right. It's just wise that Mavericks let go of this player but I'm sure that same behavior of him will be noticed again playing alongside Bradley Beal on the Washington Wizards. Hoping for good health on Porzingis. One of the best players in the league that were hit by multiple injuries.

Carmelo has been a bit of a trouble in the past few years, he will probably find a place, but it's going to be a tough one. He turned from a great player in New York, to a bad contract in OKC to suddenly not wanted even for a minimum player for a while.
Despite the fact that the Lakers' experiment with veterans didn't work well at all, I expect the Lakers management will decide to re-sign the contract with Carmelo. Of course, Melo's performance has deteriorated significantly compared to his prime, but he is still a good shooter and could be useful to any team, especially as a bench player. Honestly, I think he deserves more than a one-year contract with a minimum salary.

Well, the Timberwolves declined on it and I think it is a good choice knowing that KAT and Edwards are still young and talented as well. The Wolves' management don't want to give these young players to KD. With regard to KD going to Phoenix, I don't know what will the Nets try to get in exchange for him but just basing on what the Nets asked with the Timberwolves, there is a chance that they might try to get Booker and/or Ayton and some first round picks in exchange for KD.

Not sure about this one, I saw some twitter feed that Carmelo might not be resign by the Lakers? didn't know if this is true or not. For the Ayton case, his name is really floating around, whether with KD or Miles Turner of the Pacers. But for sure, he will be out of the Phoenix Sun, the damage has been done already. Specially when the Suns doesn't want to offer a huge contract to him last season. And then they suffer a defeat on the Mavs and there are people who blame Ayton for giving up on that series.

Well, a former GSW player, Payton II is no longer going to be part of his champ team. He'll be out of the team and will play for Portland Blazers. This is like a week old news but I've just seen it.
I thought that most of them will be retained by the management but it seems only those that had really contributed a lot. Thus, this is part of the business, letting go is a must and happens most of the time.
It's a sad separation but this is all for them. Now, they will have better salary in different teams and all they have to do is keep up what they are doing in their newly found family. JTA and Otto Porter Jr. also signed in a different team. It will happen eventually and I have seen the Warriors team discover new talents in their roster, I bet they will do it again. Some name who is not a known will shine again whenever they need it.

Other teams saw them as a big potential player for them, as they have the experience now as NBA champions. JTA to Lakers, Porter to Toronto if I'm not mistaken and the biggest contract amongst ex-GSW, PGII with Portland. It's bitter sweet but the Warriors will have to deal with it letting go of them. I'm looking for somewhat a big return in Chase center for this guys, for sure there will be a championship tribute.

Yes, Warriors have proven that time and time again, that their organizations can build a player and then trained to become a superstar. In the long run, it's a good decision by the management to left this player go. GPII might be looking for bigger contract and obviously the Warriors can't give it to him. And they still have a lot of rookies that they improved, Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman that can replace those players that they let go. And I expect the 3 to have more playing time next season.

There is still a long time for the 2022-23 season to start. It is going to be underway on October 18, 2022. Lakers have a long time period ahead to think about the new team composition that they should be building for next season. Their lineup was really inadequate last season and Lebron had to do all the work. This caused them to have a poor season and say goodbye to the playoff round before even it started. Lebron must be waiting for proper trades to be motivated to continue playing for them.

Nets might be willing but it should include good players in the side of the Suns. Ayton's name has been there and so is Bridges, but not sure if the Suns is willing to include one more just to get KD. Maybe only CP3 is the untouchable one in their roster regarding trade.

They knew the Wolves already gave out a lot to acquire Gobert and pair him with KAT yet they pushed for another outrageous deal. It's like saying the F word to them without actually saying it. A month is actually too short for forming a team that will compete (I mean aim for playoff spot). With that short preparation, you won't get a cohesive team especially if they made a lot of changes.

Lakers will get to the playoffs if they will make the right changes, they are just unlucky last season because Davis was injured most of the time and Westbrook seemed to be playing like he had not won an MVP before. That mistake has to be corrected, and if one of the big 3 will be traded, I'm not sure if they have time to build that chemistry again.

There's a lot of pressures during that time on the Lebron shoulders specially after getter Westbrook and then his friend Carmelo. Then Davis got injured, Westbrook was a big disappointment. And let's see what they will do next season, they have hired a new coach so that's already a breathe of fresh air but still it will be up to Lebron to do everything to bring the Lakers to the playoffs. Not necessarily to the finals because competition is very high in the West. But at least in the playoffs will be good enough.

Well, time is gold for the Lakers if they are serious in planning to get key players for the next season. They might lose their targeted players to other teams. I do believe that it is just hard to trade Westbrick's $47 million salary. And the Lakers do not have a lot to give, probably a lot of future draft picks. But with KD wanting to get traded too, the Nets might consider future draft picks for their rebuilding.

After trying the "veteran" team, I think they will try a bit "younger" team. Damian Jones - 27 Juan Tuscano-Anderson - 29 Thomas Bryant - 24 Will keep possibly. (I have not checked their contracts) Austin Reaves - 24 THT - 21 Wenyen Gabriel - 25 They may be in a good position with these guys as roleplayers. If they will trade Westbrook for 2 or 3 more then it could get better. But I read their new head coach Darvin Ham is looking forward to seeing him play with the Lakers at the start of the season. The Lakers may have a difficult time looking for a trade.

They are now in serious discussion to trade with Kyrie and I think they can make this to happen as they want to pass up what they think a problem on their teams. Although this talks will not get any assurance but I believe they will make this thing to happen as Lakers and Nets is running out of time on their free agency. We don't know if Durant will be happy with this trade because it looks like he will play again and if I'm not wrong they don't have good relationship to each other.

So if Irving will be traded, will it be in exchange for Westbrook? If that will happen, then the old teammates will be playing again, Lebron +Irving, and Durant + Westbrook. I can't imagine this to happen, I'm thinking maybe the trade is good if Nets will get Davis in exchange of Irving.
