The decline in Boston Celtics surprises me. Lost to Orlando in two games in a row. It was surprising to me that he was defeated in his own field. In last night's game, he lost to the Indiana Pacers at home this time and dropped to second place in the eastern conference. The out-of-form Orlando defeats in particular are staggering. I hope it gets better soon because my championship favorite is Boston. Los Angeles Lakers lost 134-120 to Sacramento in the same away game.
1-4 in their last 5 games. So yeah, definitely something is wrong with the system that they have built, and most of their loses in that span comes from a bad team and in their home court, so that is bad already. Just like against the Pacers, they were down 20 points in the first quarter alone. And they try to do catch up, but Pacers remains tough in the game even if their lead is going down specially in the 4th. Don't know what kind of adjustments they have to make right now, but they need a quick fix and stop the bleeding. Despite these setbacks, the Boston Celtics remain the front-runner to win the championship. Therefore, basketball experts believe that Boston Celtics were simply unlucky in their final games and will come back stronger. The following two games will be against the Timberwolves and the Bucks. Because the opposing teams are already aware of the Celtic play style, these games will be a deciding factor in whether the Celtics need to change their strategy.

Who are these "basketball experts" and unlucky how? No offense to you but that's just a poor excuse why they lost. Did they lose because their opponent made a lot of lucky shots? The following two games will be against the Timberwolves and the Bucks. Because the opposing teams are already aware of the Celtic play style, these games will be a deciding factor in whether the Celtics need to change their strategy. Their coach doesn't have to decide based on these two games. Teams almost always make changes in strategy depending on who they will face and who are available to play.

Banking on Lebron to carry you the whole way moving forward is a big ask. AD was brought to be the lead dog to help reserve Lebron for the playoffs but AD's body can't be depended on at all for what it's worth. I checked and Lebron has played in about 1388 games in his career. The average player runs 2.8 miles in a game so Lebron has something like 3886 miles of running on his body. He is above average when it comes to taking care of himself and has the funds to have top of line care... but he is human.
Both of them have reliable before but things have changed, AD is more prone to injuries although he's really a monster when he's healthy. For Bron, he's not getting younger anymore and other players couldn't really on him anymore they have to assist them with his leadership, I guess that's what they're banking on. And it's likely that Bron won't retire even if many are telling him he's already aged because he said he wants to play with his two sons in the official season/league. Definitely LeBron won't retire until he sees his 2 sons in the NBA. Bronny just turned 18 and Bryce is 15, LeBron could stay in the league until his 41 or 42. These are the range of age where Mutombo and Kareem retired. LeBron hasn't showed an obvious sign that he's washed it, so he's probably going to be fine until early 40's. While AD on the other side, he might start to miss more games because of this injury again. The fans aren't surprised anymore. This is where we realize that Durability is something that is very important especially when you're a superstar. It is just too unfortunate for Davis for being a prone to injury kind of player. His height and skills will surely benefit any team that will get him signed, but what's the use of those talents if the user is not available at all times. And for LeBron's legacy, we will see it in the near future if LeBron James can do that and figure out some things that will make him relevant, moreover, it's obvious that there will be teams in the league that will cater their needs and to be part of the history because it's rare to see a father and son duo, what more if there's three James wearing the same jersey. I've looked it up on the internet, it says that Bronny James is eligible to play and get drafted in 2024.

If anything Bryce based on his size has a better chance of making the NBA before Bronny. Just because he is Lebron son doesn't mean he gets an auto pass to the NBA and he may want to have the college experience and not rush to the NBA.

I thought that the acquisition of Christian Wood will make the Mavericks better than last season, but I guess I was wrong.
We can't say that's a wrong impression already. We are only at around 1/4 of the whole season and there is still more time to see if some good changes will happen on the way, not just for Christian Wood but for the whole Mavericks. The real battle is on the playoffs if only they will able to make it. Maybe the Mavericks should consider putting Wood as a starter for a change. This season, he only played as a starter for 3 games out of 28 games. Although his average playing time is somehow decent, there might be a good rhythm right away if Wood will able to flex his performance at the very start of the game. That might be a good scenario for a change if Christian Wood will be among the starting five, let's just hope that coach Kidd will give the rookie a chance because he already showed what he is made of and that he is worth to take a risk. We never know, the entire roster might improve with him on the starters and Luka won't be that tired knowing that he have someone to lean on. As of the entire situation of the Mavericks, I do agree that it's still too early to say what would be their situation because like last season, they suddenly showed resistance and beating heavy teams in the playoff run.

When we look at the matches they lost, we see how close the points scored are to each other. Performance may drop from time to time in every team, I think this is not a big problem. They can return to their old form in a few matches. Their next match is against the Timberwolves. If they lose this match too, we might think there is a problem. I don't think it's a big deal right now

They can return to their old form in a few matches. Well you have to look at their losses: Against the Clippers, back to back to Orlando Magic Then now Pacers It's alarming specially the team that they lost are not on the top of the standings, and majority of their loses at at their home court. So what's more against a leading team? Their next match is against the Timberwolves. If they lose this match too, we might think there is a problem. I don't think it's a big deal right now Timberwolves might be a another tough match for them. Let's see, it looks like they have to push the panic button here if they lose this one.

A good adjustment to mixed things up with Luka. I see that point where placing Wood in the starting unit and allow Luka and him to take the offensive end. It might help Luka to get some rest. It might change the way the defenders will approach since they know that Wood also has a good threat once given a chance to takeover and a free pass to take more shots. Mavs adjustment can bring them more wins if they can explore and maximize the use of each player that they've got in helping Luka in both offense and defense.

True, and he is not that old though, but his body is really prone from simply to career threatening injuries. It's really hard to avoid because he was really tall and his body might not able to handle the exhausted kind of games that is it being played right now. At least though, he has won a ring already and that is huge for Davis career. We can say different to Lebron though, he has work very hard spend million to protect his assets - his body that's why he was able to stay and sustained the games for so long, season 20 for him? no problem. He can still run and give us highlight reel dunks from time to time.

Do Spurs eager to get Wemby as per I read on some insiders report? For me it would be a game changer for the Spurs since they dominated the league in 2014, it's almost a decade though and the big 3 already retired and some of the players in that championship built team already on other teams or already retired too.

Problem with tanking in the NBA is it doesn't guarantee you the top spot like in the NFL. In fact you have a less than 25% chance to land the #1 as the last place team. Knicks were in last during the zion draft and ended up getting 3rd and missed out on zion and ja morant. If in a club I don't care what happens I'm not tanking. Decimated your fanbase and doesn't guarantee anything.

True, it's not guarantee that you will get the 1st pick if you even try to tank for this season and think that you will be the first one to select next season's pick, it's not the way the NBA works. So there is a gamble here that might not pay dividends in the end. And even if you get the player you wanted, you just don't know if he will be a bust as we all know that there are a lot of high picks that went bust in the last couple of years. So it might be good to just play as hard as you can this season and hope that you will land a good pick in the draft night.

Looks like we've got 2 games on the schedule for today as we get ready for the Christmas day NBA extravaganza. First up is the Spurs vs the Pelicans. I'm thinking the Pelicans should take this one easily the way they've been playing this season and the Spurs are still looking like a tank for the draft candidate. Then we've got the Wizards and the Jazz. I think this game could go either way. I tend to think the Wizards have a better shot than the oddsmakers are giving them against Utah though. I think they may clear the spread...

And just seeing the rigors of basketball landing a 7'4" guy doesn't exactly always work out. Almost be nice to land in the 2 hoke so you can draft scoot Henderson. That kid is electric and players like that tend to adapt well to the NBA. I'm just not big on oversized players that are nimble, nba bodies break them down.

The expected 1st Round draft pick rookie might be a game-changer for those teams that will tank this season but since the NBA lottery does not work the way where the worst team will automatically get the first pick, still we can assure you that those tank teams will get at least the Top 5. But honesty, it's hard to tank even intentionally. These worst teams should just enjoy the game and let their players just do their best in every game. Look at the Utah Jazz during their first several games. They expected to tank this season but some of their players were able to step up.

I confess that sometimes I miss AD in his prime, like when he made an excellent duo with Cousisn. Over time, unfortunately some players are more likely to get injured (this is not a rule, but it happens several times) That's why it's always good for players to always be doing exercises for muscle strengthening and medical follow-up. Regarding the James family, is it serious that in 2024 Bronny is already eligible to be drafted in the NBA!!? wow, how time flies! I believe this could be the first time that father and son play in the NBA together, isn't it? Or am I wrong?

When you are down 20 points in the first quarter it's hard to make a comeback as the other team is scoring as well. They try to make a huge comeback, but Tatum missed 2 threes in the last 30 seconds, it could have cut the lead to 4 and put pressure on the Pacers again. Haliburton, with a big 33 points in this game.
112-117 with 17 seconds to go, Pacers.
Right now the Boston Celtics have consistent losses towards their latest games, and if we check out all of their game on the spun of December they have lost to the Miami Heat on December 3, Lost to the Golden State Warriors on December 11, lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on December 13, lost to Orlando Magic on December 17, and 19, and now with the Indiana Pacers Yesterday, but I am not saying that the Boston Celtics now is a bad thing now, I am just saying that a team like the Celtics that is championship caliber shouldn't have consistent losses like that and they both have their good players on them, but something like this really happen and I think they need to fix this very quickly Warriors is tanking faster as I expected. They don't just lose but they got completely destroyed. First New York and now Brooklyn put ridiculously high numbers on their basket. Nets made almost 30 points gap in first quarter. That first half 91 points was the franchise record for Nets. In third period Nets slow down for obvious reasons and Warriors made the gap to just 21 points but it went up again after Patty Mills came in. Morris also scored with high percentage. Durant and other starters rested for last quarter.
Knicks' 8 game winning streak end tonight but Nets have 7 game streak now. Let's see if they can pass this. It might be close for them as well as they will play with Bucks and Cavs back to back. It's hard to recover from that fixture.
I am a Golden State fan but I am not worried at all, pretty much they still have a lot of time to pull this up to make it to the playoffs and there is no rushing them in doing it, right now 2 of the main key players are injured and for me it a good thing because right now they really need a long break right now and maybe they are chilling right now, until Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins return back again because right now they really can not do it alone without the big guns and the truth is pretty much I still got faith because there are still time in taking this back,

Others are too worried about Boston Celtics' losing streak not realizing that this season, you can't expect dominating teams to always have that consistent win. Seems inappropriate to me to think that there's a problem with their system. That's not making sense.
What if the Celtics will snap their losing streak next game? Others will say now that the system is now working fine lol.
The real battle is in the playoffs where everyone will have a 0-0 record at the start. The season is still in the early phase. Let's just observe.

The same as what happened with the Pelicans and Jazz. The Pelicans made a good streak but suddenly they are losing their games even with Zion. And then they win now but that's the Spurs they are up against so it should be expected. The Jazz had a good start but now they are inconsistent. Boston Celtics on the other hand have two of the greatest scorers in their prime, they may be losing in their 3rd losing streak but that team could easily go back up in no time. What made this issue about them is losing versus an average team like the Orlando Magic.

It's good to see those teams who anticipated to be tanking, but they prove that they are competitive with the new sets of players.
