But the PIN is one-time

One-time as in entered once on each computer, or one-time as in it changes every time?

Either way, I think you're confusing it with the OTP. Either that or I'm misinformed.

Hum yeah I was talking about the OTP
I didn't read about the PIN, I just did, and I agree with you it seems kinda risky to put it on a PC

Where does it say it will be discussed at OHM?

What you linked looks like (or very similar to) EDIT: is this (same author, too)

We would like to propose a payment protocol with a lot of interesting features:
Homomorphic Payment Addresses and the Pay-to-Contract Protocol

This could be of interest to the current ongoing development of hardware wallets as well as to the implementation of deterministic wallets.

EDIT: I like that idea by Mr. Hanke, btw.

3 BTCs for something that will protect your bitcoins is very worth it! I would pay 50BTCs for something like this.

Well Slush created the first mining pool, I doubt he is hurting for bitcoins where he needs to steal mine.

Cause it would go good with my macbook pro, also I wanted to support the project. Plus I can afford 3 BTCs so why not?

you realize I was answering to vokain saying "this is so damn expensive" and gweedo answering something about 3 BTC.

hehe but it's worth it for the macbook. the extra aluminum casing around a bitcoin wallet: cool, aesthetically pleasing, but it's not like i have an amazing user interface or anything as compared to the cheaper version

It's a cool idea so I've gone and ordered one.

Things I'd like to see though:
NFC
Some form of password entry on the device itself (such as my rhythm idea above Wink )

Just thought I'd let people know that Jim has delivered the MultiBit Trezor Shield to me and I have started work in earnest on a Java support library. After a bit of initial faffing to configure the bare RPi I managed to get the Shield running.

Would anyone be interested in a set of comprehensive instructions for getting the Shield to work with a bare RPi?

That would be really nice. If you write them, we'll merge them into the official documentation.

Here you go: https://github.com/bitcoin-solutions/trezorj/wiki/Trezor-on-Raspberry-Pi-from-scratch

I'll keep you updated on progress with the Java library. We're calling it Trezorj - hope that's OK.
