I have some ETH that I've bought foolishly at the top; mostly above 0,03 BTC. Good thing I didn't bought a lot and losses due to ETH are compensated by succesfull trades with other crypto. I won't sell my ETH anytime soon but won't buy more either. Might regret this decision when ETH really becomes a giant player on the market, but for now I tend to focus on other promising alts that are still in an infant state; like LISK and Waves.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Ethereum now is reaching 0,022. That means that ethereum is still developing and maybe still grow later on.

The devs is still trying to make ethereum better. So, maybe some of my bitcoin will be invested in ETH.

Your not buying Ethereum quick enough as evident by the price continuing to slide while the foundation dumps their premine upon you.

The interesting thing that confronts the ethereum ecosystem is that it is only supported by Hopium(tm) with no practical use cases where the ecosystem has a much higher level of inflation than bitcoin(Eth inflation relative to bitcoin soon to double as well) and has to support development by selling off premine directly unlike bitcoin.

The great hope that warms the cockles of young hopeful gamblers is the promise that inflation will eventually be brought down to a yet to be announced level of 1-5% once PoW is discarded. This presents a double edged sword as it removes any distinction from clones and allows more secure clones to sell script fuel(yet to find a use case) for much cheaper. It is no surprise that Ethereum Fans like Nick Szabo want Ethereum to keep PoW.

Either way this is an insurmountable dilemma that the ethereum community must face up to. Good luck.

If the price drops to $3, I will buy a lot of the Etherum. It will become PoS next year, so you need some to stake.

P.s.... Interesting to see all these newbie accounts pumping Eth... coincidence or shill accounts pumping the token while they dump the premine?

price goes up price goes down, best bet is to hold your altcoin until it is pumped like crazy, maybe happens in 1 year, doesnt matter.

For those speculators, we are clearly at the tail end of a multiple month pump. Because of the bitcoin halvening approaching which will than double the relative inflation of Ethereum it would be wise to take your profits as soon as possible. Those that are already in the red because of multiple downturns can decide whether to take a small loss or gamble that there will be another pump in a year or two. It is doubtful Ethereum will rise with the BTC tide because most smart money will at least temporarily dump their ETH for BTC. Even if you are hopeful of Ethereum's long term future which is questionable at minimum it is a lost opportunity to avoid a btc bubble which is likely to occur due to disinflation.

Please nobody will flock to buy BTC because of the halvening, we all know is BS and Bitcoin is at a huge crossroads. It may go up a little, but I don't see it passing $500. I agree that ETH have a lot more room to drop than to climb right now but in my opinion it has held its price very well, from $9-12, very stable and without major news so I think it can sit there, maybe even dropping to 7-8 but not less than $5. The problem with ETH is that the rise to $15 was just too quick and a complete bubble (the only real bubble on the last months). I think right now a price lower than $5 for ETH is just too cheap because many are expecting to consolidate their stake positions and for less than $5 is just too cheap to do so.

The price of Eth should be a negative number until it finds a use case. As of the moment I cannot see any role for ether except being one of the most inefficient methods of running script. There could be a use case devised in the future, but than why wouldn't someone just use a clone with PoS instead?

The price has recovered some bit. The price is around 0.0237 now. So there is quite strong buying support.

The main idea in crypto and blockchains technologies is decentralization, you can definitely run a clone for your bank or business institution and be done with it. However the future is in IOT and security will be very important, a standard platform needs to be in place. Plus why would you use a clone that will take a lot of money and devs to make and maintain when some of the best in the world are working on Ethereum and Bitcoin right now?

Nope. 0.02 is next support level, and failing that I'd suggest it filling the gap between 0.018 and 0.016. Look for high volume. Should see a good bounce then.

Plus why would you use a clone that will take a lot of money and devs to make and maintain when some of the best in the world are working on Ethereum and Bitcoin right now?

Ethereum is open source, a clone can be bootstrapped to a much wider audience, thus be more decentralized and more secure than Ethereum. A clone wouldn't take any maintenance to maintain as it could simply just leach off of Ethereum like classic is doing with core in bitcoin. The same is true for every DAPP. The only thing making Eth unique is PoW , and they will be throwing that away.

First there are no Dapps that make sense for solving a business problem at the moment. Secondly, one can easily make a more secure , more decentralized clone where BTC users get awarded free fuel instead of buying into speculators pockets.

So how do you suppose the Ethereum community will solve this dilemma?

The main idea in crypto and blockchains technologies is decentralization,

Decentralized blockchain "programs " make little sense. Please cite one hypothetical use case for needing a turing complete blockchain. You understand that satoshi and other BTC devs delibretely disabled most of btc's functionality on purpose, right? You clearly aren't a programmer if you don't understand how insecure a turing complete blockchain is and how one can easily game Ethereum to undermine the security of DAPPs.

The price is trading around 0.020x. If the 0.02 is broken, the price could go down to test the 0.015 level.
