Voted for: scrypt, x11, prime, neoscrypt, groestl

but would definitely revote for same selection plus sha256. I don't see the downside of have the most mature asics as an option.

I tend to agree - with all ex-Bitcoin asics sitting around gathering dust, it might we a wise decision. (For the record I don't own any SHA-256 Asics)

He's a trader and all. This poll is cool to show that Verge isn't just the dark horse it's the dark horse that's making a point that it's here to stay besides that it's just a for fun poll.  Grin

thing is big miners usually have both scrypt and sha256 asics so they can point both now at Verge the more decentralized the algos the better for everyone seems like scrypt, x15, lyra2rev2, blake2s, prime keeps everyone happy (only doubt is X15 or X17) dev as stated could throw Groestl in the mix and make it six algos.

You'd think that multi pool operators would know something about rising difficulties with really high hash rates....

x11 is chosen for asic ,and qubit is part of x11,so qubit is for asic
prime is for botnet and secret GPU miner, unfair!!!
all blakes have FPGA miner,unfair!!!
for GPU,good choice is quark and lyra2re2

I agree
we just only need a asic/fpga algo, its scrypt
and need more user join us
botnet control algorithm not a good choice
GPU miner is the best choice
vote algo:
scrypt,quark,lyra2rev2,groestl

These two are said to be a good reason why there is no one to do it

The vote is complete - XVG has "won". Great community effort to get our coin in front. Now let's prove that the prediction of @onemanatatime and others (winner is the first to crash) is not correct!

I'm in Shanghai if I can help with anything via China. Anyway, I think we MUST keep scrypt to keep early mining investors from losing out, it would be really a shame if they invested in scrypt specifically for DOGED/VERGE then lost out because of an algo change. If SHA256 if there's a way to make it a backup in case of other algos faling or smaller reward this might be a viable concept, otherwise it could backlog tx's. I have a feeling SHA256 miners are tired of BTC and NMC not making any new features, and want an alternative to invest hashpower in.

Verge $XVG keep pushing boundaries. #Blackhole only truly untraceable crypto. #MultiAlgo most decentralized crypto.
