tanx mate ...

i just anted to test - and see what the best intensity settigns are for each of the algos ...

scrypt is always the difficult one - as there are no 'standard' settings for ccminer on scrypt ... and i have no idea how to set the optimum paramters for scrypt also - as it has certain paramters that are not doculented ( like lauch settings for example ) ...

either way - x17 seems to work - as does lyra2v2 and scrypt ... but i have had no success with ANY accepted shares as yet with any of the algos ... but then - im not mining for a long time on each anyway Wink ...

blake is blake2s - which is different to the standard blake implementation - and groestl is myr-groestl - again a different to the standard implementation of groestl ...

hence the reason why i needed specifics on the port and algos ...

i must say though - even with the limited testing and time i have - its runnign really well ...

#crysx

even if you mine a block with x17, the network will refuse it, so don't bother; same for blake2s.
myr-groestl is much more used than double-groestl, and is in most multi-algo coins like myriad, saffron and joincoin.
the port is the same for all the algos, just set the one you like in the conf file.

tanx ...

did you commit any changes ( or updates ) to the spmod ccminer for groestl and lyra2v2 pallas? ...

No, I did not touch those two on nvidia. But I have a much faster myr-groestl for AMD.

Hello All,

New to the Cryptocurrency scenario...juss learning & understanding the basics of it.
Just to let y'all know I am an Investor with a Long Term Horizon. Started Investing in Cryptocurrency in Small quantities to begin with.

I need to know as to how shall I start mining for Verge Coin, tried many times over the last weekend.
Any guide or any pointers from all would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks to all...

Hi and welcome..Check out
https://prohashing.com

Its a Very nice pool and very straight forward to set up for beginer yet lots of tools like electricity use ect. And it is PPS which means you get paid even for stale shares or orphned shares. They pay once a day it is a coin switching profit pool but you just select what coin to be paid out in.
I have tried many pools and I like this one the best.  Grin

What are you wishing to mine with, cpu, gpu or an ASIC. There's lot's of options now but let us know what is available to you and we can point you in the right direction. If you just want to get up and running with a cpu that's real easy but it won't pay out much. I do it, but mostly just because I have  pcs sitting around with nothing for the cpu to do.

If you want to try an ASIC, I'd recommend a 5 chip gridseed. They are cheap and relatively efficient. If you have some gpus then you might ask someone else, I haven't mined with a gpu since I dismantled my original mining rig and I don't plan to go back but there are options now. I just can't speak for which ones are best. My gpus play games only these days.

You can try cpu mining VERGE (XVG) with myriadcoin-groestl algorithm (also known as the "kernel") (download cpu miner from the myriadcoin OP) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483515.0 or wait until the new wallet is released and try joining an x17 pool. xAlgos are usually cpu friendly. GPUs work much better though LJ.

xvg-mg.idcray.com is a good XVG-groestl pool.

Lyra2Rev2 has a cpu miner as well.

You can download it from the pool. Easy to set up and run. Setting up the batch file is easy but if you don't know how to do it, PM me.

Negative that amount has been sitting in the number 2 slot on Bittrex for over a year. It was only a matter of time before he lost patience. Lucky for the rest of us he did it at a time when the price was at its bottom and not at the top.
