We should get Verge added to https://www.coinpayments.net/ im launching a site that will be accepting all 44 cryptos thru this gateway and would be happy to accept verge!! Thank you for reminding me! We are currently listed on https://cointopay.com/ merchant services, and I will look into coinpayments.net right now. Awesome i use coinpayment.net for my company and with the new site which will be only accepting crypto's for payments would love to see verge on the list , everything i do is for promotion of crypto's and getting it out to the mass's |

Seems XVG has lot of features already. What do you plan for future development? What will be the new algo? I don't think you have any future implementations.
the new algos will be: scrypt, x17, lyra2rev2, blake2s, and groestl that is one future implementation that will be out very shortly. i think less than a week. also, i am currently working on android wallets that connect to i2p and tor, as well as i2p only and tor only versions of the next wallet. |

I don't understand why I can't get two of my wallets to sync and two of them won't sync. My two at home won't sync no matter what I do but the ones at my office, both linux and window seem to work fine. I may just wait for the new wallet. Can't wait.  |

Just a random quick question. Do you think the supply (meaning there is a lot of these coins available) is too much? I am just wondering if that is what is keeping the market value and price down. Is it good to have this much supply already and to have a bunch more coming from all the mining that will be happening with the new multi-algo? Just wondering the thoughts there and why the large large supply? Wondeirng if that large of supply is a good thing or a hinder? Thoughts?

well, we've only made 10% of the coins that dogecoin has created so far, and we have alot less of them coming out from here forward, as well as a halving coming up relatively soon.. the idea behind creating alot of coins, was that they'd be easy to obtain in the early stages. and they have been. so yeah, i think its exciting, and i think our value still has a ways to go to get to where it should be. |

My thinking is that the kind of supply that was created here applies itself overtime to a practical use model. |

Just as an FYI, multi-algo should not really affect the rate of supply in theory. As MentalCollatz said, due to the mathematical complexity of multi-algo, the code needs to essentially be copied from Myriad and then adapted to suit Verge. With just a few lines of code change, the dev will easily be able to make sure that the block times and subsidy align so that the emission curve stays smooth.
That doesn't mean his job is easy, though. Making multi-algo work with Verge is a huge job for him. I believe he deserves recognition for this feat, once the fork is implemented.
In practice the miners will mine up more coins, because recently under scrypt verge is not finding as many blocks as targeted. That said, forking to reduce the supply will only hurt the coin's image in the long run. Yeah altcoin gamblers who don't do their research (the majority) might pump the coin.... But in the long-term, it will actually be the death of the coin.
Thanks to the dev, this coin has a good image. Please keep it that way. I'm not a day trader. I want to hold my coins for 2 years and then start spending them at participating Verge retailers.
