I'm having a hard time syncing the wallet.
Compiled the latest git, cleared the blockchain, it hangs and only gets orphans or continuously reorganises the chain.
Stopping and restarting may help, still I can't reach the last block.
Any snapshot?

Your wording is a bit... off ... this isnt the wallet stuff that was in the zip download... this is the block index files. in your /roaming/appdata/verge folder. you need to delete THAT. (and make a copy of your wallet.dat) ofc... |

just so everyone is aware, the tipbot in irc, and the android wallet server will be resyncing, so if they are down, i can assure you its just temporary. most of the nodes were updated last night however.

Finally synced. I just installed wallet on a different rig and let it sync and then moved wallet.dat.
The block shows 338,198 in the debug command with 3 connections but the wallet says "out of sync" and in red but it looks like it is up to the correct block.

I havnet got mine all the way synced...i had to leave for work... but i got the latest one, so it might catch up tonight. then ill know if mines good or not too. g |

if it has a different string after 2.0.0.0 you are on the wrong wallet, please download another from the main site. you will not have to resync though.

"version" : "v2.0.0.0-unk-beta" I just tried downloading the WIN wallet for the third time in the past 8 hours and it still ends up the same. |

Thats where im at. Block up to date. but still showing out of sync. add me to that list That's correct, until the blockchain frees up. Then it will sync. By my calculation, we'll hit the 340,000th block within the next 8 hours or so. I have no idea what happens if the blockchain is still blocked. I have a question for one more knowledgeable than I. Between family and work, I don't spend a lot of time here. I had been away for a month and just happened to catch this mandatory update. My question. Is a paper wallet immune to these updates? Can I just pack them away for a year or two and be able to import them into any future new wallet? I wouldn't have to worry about keeping track of updates. Thank you in advance for any information. |

I went out for the day came back home notice it was stuck on some block so i closed the
wallet and tried to reopen it it would not load so i had to delete the blk.dat files again and
start over the re syncing process all over am i going to lose all of my coins? seems like it
keeps getting stuck at some block.
