I'm just curious but wouldn't it cause issues if let's say half the network start mining x17 and blake on the new wallet while the rest of the network is on the old wallet rejecting those blocks?

I mean shouldn't the changes happen universally with a fork at block #x for everyone?

Think there is another hard fork planned at block 350000, the changes happen for everyone then, or you get dropped off the network that the exchanges are on (well, besides yobit apparently).

yes correct, im going to work thru the night on a few more changes and see where i am when im done, and i will let everyone know what block we will fork at again to open up the other 2 algos.. and i will make sure everyone has plenty of time to update. i know suprnova, bittrex, blockexperts, coin-server, miningpoolhub and a few others always respond quickly, so what i will do next time is update a list here on the thread of who has updated, and urge people to only use those on the list until we are sure everyone has updated.

Yobit still hasn't updated the wallet after the previous fork, and another update is already on the way.

    I just transfered some verge from a few exchanges to my wallet.  (thanks suckers!   )

it showed up fast in the transaction list, 0/6 confirms...etc.  just great...

but at 1/6 confirms. it was added to my balance.  seemed a bit...fast...or odd at least.
shouldnt it have waited til it was 6/6 confirms?

just kinda worried me about .. someone getting coins in, spending them instantly... then the entire thing being wiped somehow, cuz its all invalid?

I dont know much on the wallet side.  (ok ok, i dont know much on the other side either...but it sounded good) lol

anyhow. just thought i would point that out...

maybe 6 blocks had already passed when you opened your wallet, because i can assure you it is not spendable until 6 confirmations happen.
