solo mining does not seem to be working ...
ive just tested similar coins - and they seem to work - but im having issues with verge ...
has anyone solo mined verge? ... if so - how did you setup? ...
edit ... i got it working ... apparently the wallet .conf search is case sensitive - and requires the .conf to be saved as VERGE.conf - as opposed to what i had verge.conf ( in lowercase ) ...
solo mining running smooth currently - lets see how we go with the different algos ... still looking for the list of algos ...

on the price note.... My thoughts are that $XVG is very profitable for miners, coinwarz.com usually Verge at the top of the list lately.
During this time of mass mining there is also those miners who wish to just mine and sell. It is a good opportunity for $XVG as we are decentralizing on a grander scale.
At this price, I don't think it is very profitable if you want to rent a rig and mine, unless you have your own miner. |

During this time of mass mining there is also those miners who wish to just mine and sell. It is a good opportunity for $XVG as we are decentralizing on a grander scale.
I saw this coming that's why I suggested reducing the block size by that reducing inflation while increasing the number of blocks mined in the long term. a single miner sadly got it his way at that point I had to exit xvg at 25. If I new the miner's lobby was so strong I would had sold at peak realized it too late. For those who are in a loss it's pointless to sell your coins now xvg will recover in the future so just hold it and wait. |

Dont worry about mining blake or x17 until the new wallet is out there not working correctly the otheres are scrypt/groestl and lyra2REv2 tanx mate ... i just anted to test - and see what the best intensity settigns are for each of the algos ... scrypt is always the difficult one - as there are no 'standard' settings for ccminer on scrypt ... and i have no idea how to set the optimum paramters for scrypt also - as it has certain paramters that are not doculented ( like lauch settings for example ) ... either way - x17 seems to work - as does lyra2v2 and scrypt ... but i have had no success with ANY accepted shares as yet with any of the algos ... but then - im not mining for a long time on each anyway  ... blake is blake2s - which is different to the standard blake implementation - and groestl is myr-groestl - again a different to the standard implementation of groestl ... hence the reason why i needed specifics on the port and algos ... i must say though - even with the limited testing and time i have - its runnign really well ... #crysx |

I just checked out coinwarz and dont use them as a reliable source of mining profitability , they are showing incorrect difficulty , they arent showing the nethash rate so there calculation for profitability is way way out !!! |

Hello All,
New to the Cryptocurrency scenario...juss learning & understanding the basics of it.
Just to let y'all know I am an Investor with a Long Term Horizon. Started Investing in Cryptocurrency in Small quantities to begin with.
I need to know as to how shall I start mining for Verge Coin, tried many times over the last weekend.
Any guide or any pointers from all would be deeply appreciated.

Hi and welcome..Check out https://prohashing.comIts a Very nice pool and very straight forward to set up for beginer yet lots of tools like electricity use ect. And it is PPS which means you get paid even for stale shares or orphned shares. They pay once a day it is a coin switching profit pool but you just select what coin to be paid out in.
