everyone: do not forget, today, to get your updated wallet from http://vergecurrency.comwe are hard forking at block 340,000 to multi algo/dgw3 retargeting. new algos are scrypt, x17, lyra2re, myr-groestl, and blake2s. do not download wallet links from anywhere other than our official site, thanks =] ps: there will also probably be an update a few days after the fork, as we expect to do some tweaking to the various algos, depending on their performance post-fork, and i want to spruce the gui design back up a bit. What about android wallet do I have to update that? |

It appears that we're solving one block a day right now.
nope, we are definitely not solving one block a day. blockexperts.com is syncing right now. so if your looking at that and not the wallet, you dont have the right block number. the wallet will give you the accurate current block until blockexperts is done. I tend to avoid desktop wallets since they never fully sync on my toaster, but holy crap! This thing is lightning fast! |

I decided to just do a fresh resync but I have been stuck at block 19,500 for quite a while now.

I think you guys that are assuming a massive dump are missing a few things.
The people, myself included, with enough XVG to actually dump on the market, know what is going on.
The people that hold 1000 VERGE can dump all they want. They bought during the last surge and got spooked by the market freeze. They probably don't know what BitcoinTalk is.
If you REALLY expect a dump, then the smart move on your part is to dump right along with it and buy back.
Whether we want to admit it or not there is little to no organic growth in alts. Most of the time the markets move because someone with a lot of money has decided to move the market. Within, those big market movements, I expect support will grow because the dev is really good and this coin can do what no other can. That's why I'm here.
